Satellite C660 mising driver acpi/tos1900

My system information shows driver for "acpi/tos1900/2&daba3ff&1" is not installed.
From where can I get driver for that?

Hi
As far as I know the driver for TOS1900 is Toshiba x86 ACPI-Compliant Value Added Logical and General Purpose Device.
Install the Value Added Package from Toshiba European driver page and this should fix your issue.

  • Satellite C660 - display driver stopped responding

I have a 3 year old Toshiba Satellite C660 and every time I play on Sims 3 the game crashes and the screen flashes black to white and displays an error message which reads "Display Driver stopped responding" and sometimes it even ends up being a blue screen saying there is a problem with the software?
I not very computer savvy so if you could explain to me in simple terms how to rectify this problem
    Thanks

The others asked for OS. This means Operating System like Windows ;)
The notebook Satellite C660-11K was preinstalled with Windows 7.
I assume you are still using this OS.
    Now to the graphic card.
The notebook was equipped with an 1-st generation Intel i3 CPU (Nehalem) containing the HD graphic card.
So if you need an graphic card driver, you should check the Intel page for latest driver.
    I found this latest one:
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22518&lang=eng
    Its a zip package.
    Download and unzip the package.
Now go to device manager and choose update driver. Now you have to use the Advanced installation procedure. This allows you to choose the driver files from the unzipped Intel graphic driver folder.
    Then reboot the notebook.
    Good luck

  • Satellite C660 Graphics Driver Won't Update

I currently have the 8.15.10.2189 version of the Intel HD Graphics Driver and want to update to 8.15.10.2353 Driver but every time I download, unzip the file and open the file, it will Extract and asks "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer" I click "Yes" and then it just disappears and nothing happens at all. I have waited a long time to see if anything comes up but nothing happens.
Any info on why it isn't updating would be great.
I have also noticed that the same Driver Version on different Toshiba Satellite models has a different file size, I was wondering if I should download and try to install these on my C660 as I presume they would all the the same Driver Update. I just don't know why they would be a different file size.
    Thanks for any info.

    > I currently have the 8.15.10.2189 version of the Intel HD Graphics Driver and want to update to 8.15.10.2353 Driver...
As I can see only version 8.15.10.2189 is available for your notebook.
Where did you find 8.15.10.2353 version for your notebook model?
    With RAM is everything OK.

  • Satellite C55D - missing driver - ACPI-compliant Device

    Hello,
    I have a Satellite C55d-A-15H -   Windows 8.1 64bit
In Device Manager I have an entry marked "Other Devices" with a sub entry of 'Unknown Device !'
A right click on this and "properties" says:
    Device Type: Other Devices
    Manufacturer: Unknown
    Location: On Microsoft ACPI-compliant System
The drivers are not installed (code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device
When checking update driver via on-line - it fails with "Windows was unable to install your unkown device"
Does anyone know please what's this all about and is there a driver - I've looked at the Toshiba driver list and can't seem to find anything
    thank you
    fip_man

    Downloads here.
It's not a driver, but supplied by one of Toshiba's utilities. Try this one.

    Probably makes no difference anyway.

  • Satellite C660-23M - driver causing crash when program starts

I have loaded a CAD program on my new 64bit laptop, the program will start then stops and windows closes it. In the crash reports the modules ntddll.dll and aticfx.dll both seem involved. Could there be some conflict, can I update a driver somehow?
I have seen a report on a gaming website that the aticfx.dll isa the problen on the c660 range.
Please help or the machine goes back to the shop.
PS I have tried running in compatibility mode and disabling antivirus but the problem is unchanged
    Regards Ian

    Hi
I think the CAD application is not fully compatible with the preinstalled graphic card driver.
The ntddll.dll files is part of the windows system and aticfx.dll file seems to be a part of the graphic card driver and therefore I think that you would need to use another graphic card driver.
The notebook seems to support an Intel HM55 HD graphic card. Try to update the driver using the newest version from the Intel page.

  • Satellite C660 - What driver for brightness keys to work?

I did a clean install Windows 7 and installed all the drivers from the Toshiba site but my function keys are not working.
Any idea how I can make them work?

    Hello
As you can read in many other threads the FN keys require Value Added Package and Flash Cards Support Utility. Both tools can be downloaded on official Toshiba website:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/ > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
Install Value Added Package at first, then Flash Cards Support Utility. After installation of both tools the FN keys will work as usual. :)

  • How to install driver for Intel HD on Satellite C660-22V?

    Hi
I could not reply below so here is my question.
    http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums//thread.jspa?threadID=68240
As*** I do not know if you work for toshiba but what else am I suppose to do if the driver installed on a new laptop does not allow me to use my software?
The software is ArcGIS and would be widely used.
Seems like it has been 2 years since the driver was updated by Toshiba so what good is that?
I would expect the laptop to work out of the box as the specs met the system requirements for the software.
Will there be an update in the future?

    Hi
This seems to be a user to user forum so would not expect to get answers from Toshiba here
    > Seems like it has been 2 years since the driver was updated by Toshiba so what good is that?
    > I would expect the laptop to work out of the box as the specs met the system requirements for the software.
Where is a problem? The Satellite C660-22V supports Intel graphic card.
Visit the Intel page to get the latest graphic card driver.
If you would not be able to install this using the install.exe, go to device manager and install/update the graphic card driver via device manager
Use the advanced install option to point to the driver folder containing the latest driver files thats it

  • Satellite C660 - Re-installed WLAN driver not working

    Hi
I cleared a lot of unused programs from a Toshiba Satellite C660-1JH, and accidently removed the Realtek WLAN Driver.
The laptop obviously now has no internal wireless connection. When I realised I managed to find the driver online, successfully downloaded and installed it. I restarted the computer in order for the changes to take affect but nothing happened.
I removed the driver and all associated files and then took it from another site to check that there wasn't anything wrong with the contents of the file. I got exactly the same result twice more. I've been checking the uninstall program list each time to make sure the driver does exist.
My question is does anyone know if there's something else I need to do after installing the WLAN driver to enable it to operate, or if there's another decent internal wireless adaptor I can download from the web that works with this model.
Apologies for my vague I.T knowledge, hope somebody can help!
    Thanks

On this virtual way it is not easy to say what is wrong there.
Fact is that your notebook has Realtek RTL8188CE WLAN card inside.
Dont search the driver Googling around. Right driver you can download from Toshiba WLAN portal http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
Install it, check status in device manager, try to enable WLAN card using FN key combination and send some feedback.
Driver offered on WLAN portal is the same that you got with original preinstalled recovery image (WIN7 64BIT HOME PREMIUM).

  • Can not instal Win7 WLAN Driver for Satellite C660-168

I can't install WLAN driver on my Satellite C660-168 after Windows 7 installing.
    What's the problem?

    Hi Admiral,
And why you cant install it? Do you get an error message or what happens exactly?
As PauPau wrote you have Broadcom WLAN card so you have to download Broadcom WLAN driver that can be downloaded on Toshiba WLAN portal.
Before installing the driver make sure you are logged in as Administrator or with Administrator rights. ;)

  • Re: Satellite C660-1D7 - Installing latest Intel display driver

    Hi
I have a Toshiba Satellite C660-1D7 running Windows 7 64bit Home Premium with Intel Core i3 [email protected] GHz CPU and 4GB RAM. I use my laptop a lot for graphics etc. with Adobe CS5 and Corel Paint shop Photo Pro x3 etc.
After only 2 months I got an HDD alert saying it would fail soon. So under warranty 2 weeks ago Toshiba arranged for an authorized dealer to collect and replace the HDD which they did. Ever since then I cannot use my graphics software. Now, I remember when I first got my laptop I had the same problem and it was to do with my graphics/video card and OpenGL. Toshiba site and my own laptop kept saying that all drivers were up to date. But when I went on Intel site I found that Intel HD Graphics was not up to date. As soon as I updated I was able to use all my graphics programs.
The drivers installed without any problems at all. This time, although I gave a recovery disk to the repair dealer, when my graphics software was not working. I went to Intel site and once again there are more up to date drivers available. However, when I try to install them it says that I now have modified drivers from the laptop manufacturer and I must go to the Toshiba site. Either way, the drivers I need are not on the Toshiba site and I have tried every way possible I think to install the ones I want.
    Please help!
The programs do open when I click e.g. Paint shop pro x3 but when I go to save a photo or edit it hangs, and 'not responds' and I must use Task Manager to end process. I need the same drivers that I had on my laptop before the HDD was replaced but cant get them from Intel as Toshiba seems to have opted out of updates.
All help welcome! Many thanks in advance. John Scott

    Hi John,
The problem is that only Toshiba drivers are pretested on your system. Installing other drivers happens on your own risk because they are not tested by Toshiba.
Anyway, just download the drivers on Intel website. If setup.exe file shows you an error message about not compatible drivers install them manually (I know this message from my notebook). Therefore navigate to device manager > right click on graphic card > update driver. Then choose the advanced installation where you can choose the driver and directory yourself. Now you are able to install this driver :)

The Intel driver depends on the Intel CPU.
So I’m wondering what Satellite C660-xxx do you have exactly and what CPU has been installed in the notebook.
    Could you provide such details?
I tried the INTEL web site update service, but they see the graphic driver as a customised item (TOSHIBA) and so their driver will not work and refer back to the manufacturer.

  • Satellite C660-1TN. Win XP Pro SP3. Driver of video card GF 315M

Laptop Satellite C660-1TN. Under the corporate standard it is necessary to work in Windows XP Pro SP3. The driver of video card NVIDIA GeForce 315M isn't established. Thanks

Your corporate standards are pretty old. It should be time for corporate update to new standards. ;)
Anyway, newest notebook models are not supported for old operating systems and newest notebook models are designed for newest operating system. Newest notebook models have newest hardware also designed for newest OS.
Problem is not Toshiba or WXP support. As far as I know even Microsoft doesnt support WXP anymore.
Check if NVIDIA supports WXP for GeForce 315M.

  • Satellite C660-1ZM Win 7 64bit: mousepad and USB - "code 52" driver error

    Hello,
Having recently set up a new Satellite C660-1ZM running Windows 7 64bit (upgraded from Home Premium to Ultimate) for a friend, the mousepad and USB ports have suddenly stopped working. The drivers show an exclamation mark against them and the error is "code 52" which is related to driver signing. Windows doesn't seem to recognise the driver signatures for the published drivers that came on the machine's pre-installed disc, so the devices don't work. I've updated the drivers (Intel chipset [which includes USB]; Synaptics touchpad) to the latest ones publised on the Toshiba web site - and we have the same problem.
Pressing F8 on boot allows you to select "disable checking of driver signing" in the WIndows 7 boot options, which then enables the drivers and all is well, until you reboot - at which point you have to hit F8 again.
I think that one of the many recent Windows updates has somehow messed things up, but we can't easily prove that. The machine worked fine for a week or so, then the mousepad suddenly quit working around 8th August 2012.
    1) Are there valid signed drivers that pass whatever checks Microsoft impose on driver signing, including whatever checks they've potentially just imposed via some recently inflicted update?
    2) Does anyone know exactly how to disable the checking of driver signing permanently, so that a reboot will not require the F8 keypress and so on?
Uninstalling the mousepad driver and rebooting gives the basic mouse functionality, without the Synaptics cleverness. However, the USB ports still don't work because their driver doesn't load, so an external mouse doesn't work.
It's an infernal nusiance. Driving the system off the keyboard to uninstall drivers etc. is not much fun.
    Cheers, Colin.

    Hi
Did you receive the error that windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device? Usually this means the error code 52
Since the USB drivers are parts of the Windows OS, I dont think that this could be an signature issue I think some files are damaged.
Try to uninstalling/reinstalling the driver and deleting the device and its drivers from device manager before reinstalling.
Usually this should help, if not, well try to repair the system.
Power up the unit and press F8. Then choose Repair my Computer.
Now choose the first option which would help to repair the system.
