Satellite C75D and AMD Radeon R5

I have a C75D-B7260 and there is a brand new AMD Display Driver for Windows 10 dated 7/29/15. Put your COMPLETE model number HERE to see if your model is the same.

I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 yesterday. When I did the PC check it said I was good to go. After upgrading, the first thing I noticed was that I could not extend my desktop to an external monitor or projector. It gave me an error message stating i needed to update my drivers. I read somewhere that Radeon adapters had an issue. I went to AMD site and someone posted that Toshiba should have updated drivers. I came to here and put in my part number and it gives me a whole list of software to update. It doesn't look like there is any display drivers, seems to be just software. Anyone come across this? Are the drivers in the Display Utility or is there someplace else to get the display drivers? or is Toshiba working on it still. Any and all help appreciated. I rolled back to 8.1 for now until i can get some answers or drivers are released. You have a month to roll back. Lance

Of note there is a new AMD Catalyst Omega driver released earlier in the week that brings 5K resolution to AMD graphics cards. Here is the link (support.ad.com/en-us/download) to the AMD site. But none of these work with my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), Windows 8 bootcamp.
    Please advise.

  • Windows 8.1 and AMD radeon HD 6700m switchable graphics on HP pavilion dv7

    Hello all
First would like to give positive feedback because my former problem was solved here but this thing appears again.
I have HP pavilion dv 7
    i7 -2670QM (2.20ghz)
    (8 GB Ram)
    Windows 8.1
So my problem is with the switchable graphic as it is stated in the subject.
I had windows 7 previously and I had no problems with switchable graphics-
When I bought licenced win 8 the problems started and are continuing in my 8.1 upgrade.
I tried several thing, from turning off switchable mode in BIOS, turn it off in win desktop, uninstalling drivers or blocking drivers and it still doesn't help
It's a shame that with a computer like this I can't play a bit better games that I was able to when I had win7.
The main problem is that when the game instals it checks your computer and tell you if it's ok or not-and everytime I get that I have intel HD3000 graphics. and not AMD radeon hd 6700m graphic card.
Can anybody tells me how to fix this thing? I don't have any problems in display adapter-all drivers are good to go, i have the latest amd catalyst software.
It would be a shame to buy win 8 if 7 was good and better working on this issue.
    Thank you for help

    Hello again GregaSlo,
It is good to hear from you again!
To prevent your system from crashing, and gain access to your fingerprint reader, I recommend performing a backup and recovery of your system's operating system. This can be done by following this document on Backing Up Your Files (Windows 7), as well as Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 7). This should help recover your system back to factory defaults.
If the issue persists, please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region.

  • Satellite C855-1JD Amd Radeon Driver

    Good morning,
When I turned on my computer this morning I received this message:
"The Catalyst Control Center is not supported by the driver version of you enabled graphics adapter. Please update your AMD graphics driver, or enable your AMD adapter using the Displays Manager"
My display adapter is an AMD Radeon HD 7610M
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you very much in advance.

Try to uninstall the ATI graphic card driver which is preinstalled on your unit.
Then visit the Toshiba EU driver page and download the latest available ATI/AMD GPU driver.
After the installation has finished, reboot the notebook and check the functionality.

  • DV7-6c90us 2nd hard drive issues and AMD Radeon Issues

    The Problem:
1)My AMD card has always been flakey and I've tried multiple times to uninstall it permanently and can't, it won't let me. I want to remove it completely since I'd rather have access to the extra hard drive than the graphics card.
    2) when the card is working then my 2nd HDD won't work, but when the AMD card isn't working then my 2nd HDD works
    What I'm Working with:
    HP DV7-6c90us
    Intel Core i7 2670qm chip
16GB of RAM (I added them, Kensington 1666MHz system underclocked to 1333MHz since that's what the i7 maxes out at)
Then whatever obscure AMD Radeon graphics card came with my system.
    Windows 8 Pro
2nd HDD is a 1TB Segate Momentum drive, I pretty much took it from a Travel Drive and put it in my latop
Using the standard power brick that came with my laptop (120W)  and battery is almost always at 50% or better)
The laptop is just over a year old (got it 06/08/2012 from HH Gregg)
    What I've done:
Checked to make sure the 2nd HDD is installed correctly, it is and is plugged in to port two. It shows up in BIOS, but when you try to test it BIOS hangs. It's not corrupt since when it does decide to work, it works without any issues. It even works when I plug in my USB 3.0 adapter and use it as an external drive. That's not really an option since I am constantly transfering and managing that hard drive so it would be too much of an inconvenience.
I tried uninstalling AMD Radeon completely, but can't. I used a site that showed me what to delete from registry, Program File (x86), User App Data (Local and Roaming), and tried to uninstall it through "Programs and Features" under Control Panel (the Catalyst software). At every reboot it comes back like a virus. I don't need it, nor do I want it since the performance is so spotty and has always been, I do need the 2nd hard drive working again since i use it much more than I do AMD.

You will not like the answer but RAID is not possible on that machine. HP does have RAID function on some of the business models but the Pavilion is a consumer model and they have never had a RAID option on consumer models that I know about. Even if you could set up a RAID-0 array it would wipe out the data on the first drive and you would have to reinstall Windows from scratch and when you do a RAID-0 even on machines that permit it the two drives generally need to be identical, not just similar or the same size.
how is it then that some hp models ship with 2 HDD's but show up as one then eg there is a pavilion that is almost identical to mine sorry i don't know the model # but even more recent there are envy models that have this. or do they actually show as separate drives?

  • XBMC and AMD Radeon issue

Anybody experienced flaky performance with XBMC when using radeon hardware accelerated playback? Mine consistently freezes after about 10 minutes playback. Switching to software rendering solves the problem. But its still rather poo, and I'd love to find a solution.
Im using the Catalyst drivers in version 12.9

I see that s-series have that option, I'm wondering why 'p' doesn't. I've read here: http://news.softpedia.com/news/AMD-Has-Nvidia-Optimus-Killer-Dubbed-Power-Express-186419.shtml that 'p' series does that too. Maybe it's automatically switched in windows there but it's still possible in bios or something. Maybe next bios update will add that option. It would be great if someone from HP reply here.
@ Paul_Tikkanen: it's windows option right? I am sure I will use linux instead.
Which brings me to other question - how's that mobile radeon drivers on linux. I know sandy bridge is supported in linux kernel (2.6.38 now) but radeons are not linux friendly.
The best option would be if one could just switch it in bios manually. I actually don't care about automatic switching.
If it's not available yet, but it's on top of "TODO" list for bios update then without hesitation I'm buying it right now. I would be very unhappy if I would have to buy a laptop without discrete gpu and a month later find out it actually is possible to switch graphics I know I'm worrying too much but it's not a cheap PC so I don't want to make a decission I will regret later.

  • G505s Problems with Win 8.1 and AMD radeon hd 8500m

    Hi
Couple weeks back i bought my G505s laptop. It had windows 8 installed, but right after i started using it i noticed the windows 8.1 update and i downloaded and installed it.
    NOW TO THE PROBLEM:
My G505s Has 2 graphic cards (that's how i supposed it to be, correct me if i'm wrong). Now, both of them are not working properly. My Lenovo Solution Center says that both of them are out of use, and also in drivers management my graphic cards are giving me the ''ERROR 43''. It's saying that i have to install the right version of it, and i've tried to do it (downloaded couple versions from AMD.com) , but it didn't work. Now my laptop has '' lack of power''
So please help me, because i want to get all the power from this laptop, and i want it to be worth of my money.
    Thank you

  • Windows 8.1 and AMD Radeon HD 7670M

Since the Windows 8.1 update I have a really stupid problem on my Pavilion g7-2210sm. (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03555012&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...)
All of the games that were on my PC - Skyrim, DARK, TW: Rome 2, PES 14... - all run at a maximum of 5 fps, obvious sign that only Intel GPU is used. Changing from Power Saving to High Performance in CCC is as useful as hitting the notebook with a hammer .
HP did put a driver for windows 8.1 on support page but what that driver does is that it only helps windows indentify my dedicated gpu and then ignore it completely. I should also say that this driver is not really win 8.1 but rather just a copy of driver made for win 8 almost a year ago!!
To test things i formatted my system hard drive, installed Win 8 Pro, installed all drivers from support page then installed games again and all worked fine, uninstalled games, updated to Win 8.1 Pro, installed the (useless) driver, installed games and back to 5 fps.
My question is will HP ever produce some kind of real Windows 8.1 driver or should i just go sell my notebook and buy from some company that actually has product support that lasts longer than 2 weeks?
    HP Pavilion g7-2210sm

    Dear Friends,
    I have HP Envy 6-1106TX. I'm Official win8. Last week after frequent pop ups from windows store that update to win8.1, I finally clicked OK and updated the my genuine windows 8 to 8.1. Installation is smooth and after that my notebook remains very hot. Before update and after updates are as follows;
    Battery backup-----------> B: 5-8Hrs------> A: 2Hrs
    CPU Temp (Idle) ----------->  B: 50C------> A: 60C
    CPU Temp (Load)-----------> B: 75~80C -----> After: 90-100C
Although CPU performance is little down. while gaming, a little laggy. (I don't game much)
Sometimes got stuck. while on Win 8 never got stuck.
I think that the problem is that both GPUs are active at the same time. That's why Note Book got very very hot and consumes a lot of battery.
Device Manager is not able to detect my ATI Readon 7670M, it's just showing ATI 7600.
I think drivers are not competible and that's why there is all that problem.
I have tried solution that posted by victorx1, but still the problem was same.
Although windows 8.1 features are very impressive but I have to go back to Windows 8 because of that problem.
After degrading to Win 8. everything is normal.
Any one will help me, is there any official drives updated by HP to solve this issue?
or they are just ignoring us and we have to stuck with windows 8.

  • AMD Radeon HD 6630M Compatibility

I would like to purchase a DELL Vostro laptop with `Core i5` and `AMD Radeon HD 6630M`.
I'm not completely sure, but it will probably have the integrated `Intel Graphics HD 3000` card as well.
From your experience / knowledge, will this video card work with Arch (or Linux in general)? Will it _definitely_ be difficult to get working?

I am with the same problem as you are, currently I can turn off the radeon card with vga_switcheroo, but I can't use this card at all, when I switch to the radeon card and I restart Xorg it says client refuses to switch and my computer freezes so I have to hard reset the computer. I am with the open source driver, anyone knows what can be the problem? Thanks

  • Photoshop CC only detects Intel GPU instead of AMD Radeon (Win8)

    Hi,
I am running a pc with Win 8 and Intel i7-3630QM CPU.
On my system I am running 2 Video Cards, both Intel HD Graphics 4000 and AMD Radeon HD 7670M.
I set my switchable cards to high performance when using photoshop.exe, but when I check in PS Preferences, the detected Graphic Processor is Intel HD 4000.
How can I set my AMD radeon for higher performances?
    Thanks
    Cecilia

With dual-GPU's, it is often necessary to disable the Intel GPU, usually in the computer's BIOS.
Many laptops have dual GPU's, to allow them to run with low power consumption (on the Intel), and then they automatically switch to the AMD/ATI, or nVidia GPU, depending on which chip is installed, for more graphically intensive work. That often works well, but not in all cases. In most of those anomaly instances, the switching in the BIOS takes care of the issue - inconvenient? Yes, but often necessary. Some users have had good results by disabling the Intel in the OS's Control Panel, rather than at the hardware level with the BIOS.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • I cant install drivers for AMD Radeon HD 8750 M on a G500 i7-3612QM CPU@2.1Ghz Lenovo.

    Hi.
    I bought recently a Lenovo G500 i7-3612QM [email protected],
    4GB ram,
    Windows 7 Ultimate,
    Service pack 1,
    64-bit Operating System and
AMD Radeon HD 8750M graphics Card.
I follwed many of the discussions for this card but without results.
I unistalled from device manager the card driver.
I unistalled all the previous ATI and AMD installations and
then I installed again avga110w7 driver.
But allways with the same message at the device manager "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".
Now the laptop works with Standard VGA Graphics adapter.
What can I do for make work the card?
    Why is it so difficult?
    Can anybody help me?
    Thank you.
    John.

    Hi John,
As the application is not using the GPU, I suggest you to uninstall AMD Driver under Device Manager and make sure to put a check on the prompt asking to delete driver software. Then Check under Control Panel / Programs and Features / Uninstall any Catalyst or AMD Graphics Components.
Now install the AMD driver in the computer and then check if the same is displayed in the Device Manager, below is the link to download the driver. Then add the application using the catalyst control center as displayed in the below image.
AMD Video Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)

    Hope this helps!!!
Do post us back if the issue still persists.

  • Device Manager doesn't show AMD Radeon Graphics

My Pavilion dm4-3002sa has dual graphics, Intel[R] HD Graphics Family and AMD Radeon. Earlier this year AMD Radeon disapeared from the Device Manager and since than Laptop has only used Intel Graphics.
I have done clean install of an Operating System, Windows 7 (64bit), but the AMD Radeon doesn't show.
Does this mean that the card has failed, and if you have any suggestion, it would be appreciated.
On different, probably unconnected subject, the laptop is very hot at the top left corner. Would this have something to do with dust blocking the vents, and if so, does anyone have any suggestions?
    With thanks.

    Hello @draganmikki ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand your AMD GPU is no longer showing up on your notebook.
Have you tried showing the hidden devices in Device Manager and checking the Other Devices section to see if a "Display Adapter" is listed? This could be the card missing drivers. I would suggest updating the chipset drivers, and then uninstalling the Intel GPU. Once uninstalled reinstall with the download from our website. After the Intel card is installed, run the 7470m installer.
You can find the drivers for your notebook here: HP Pavilion dm4-3002sa Notebook PC Drivers.
Regarding the heat, try this: Reducing Heat Inside the PC to Prevent Overheating.
If the card is still not detected, you're most likely looking at a hardware issue. I would suggest calling HP Phone Support for service options if this is the case. You can contact HP Technical Support at 1-800-474-6836 in North America. For all other regions click here.

  • Satellite C850D-B600 - troubles with AMD Radeon HD 7310 Graphics

    Hi,
I have laptop Toshiba Satellite C850D-B600 with AMD Dual-Core Processor E1-1200 CPU with AMD Radeon™ HD 7310 Graphics
I tried the last version in the official site and I tried AMD Official Site and I got massage says (the version of your graphics adapter is not supported) and when I tried to install Toshiba driver the graphic card does not work too.
When I tried to open AMD vision engine control centre I got this massage says (AMD vision engine control center cannot be started there are currently no settings that can be configured using AMD vision engine control center).
Please could you help me :(

    Hi
May I ask you what system did you install and what driver did you try to install from Toshiba driver page?
It seems that this notebook Satellite C850D-B600 was released without any preinstalled Windows system and therefore it would be useful to know what system you are using.
You should also know that the Radeon HD 7310 graphic is a part of CPU. Yes, this is not external graphic unit but its intergraded in CPU.
Regarding the AMD vision engine control center
    >AMD vision engine control center cannot be started there are currently no settings that can be configured using AMD vision engine control center
The AMD Vision Control Center offers additional CPU monitoring options from within the Control Center. I think the above message appears because there are no settings which could be configured. But this does not mean that the driver would not work.
