Satellite C850 and Win7 - no connection to the Internet
Hey everyone.
I downgraded my Toshiba Satellite C850-19D to windows 7 but i have no drivers for the internet i look for them on this site i intall the driver but it wont connect to the internet please help

I have checked Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp - and, as i can see, your machine is supported for Win7 64bit so you can install all necessary drivers, tools and utilities.

Ipad will connect no problem to other networks.First thing you need I think is to get your iMac connected to the Internet.
Shut down your iMac and you iPad. Then power off your router. Wait 30 seconds and power up the router.
After the router indicates that it is connected to the Internet then start up your iMac and see if it connects. If the iMac connects to the Internet then your iPad should too.
If this power up sequence doesn't work you'll have to dig into the router setup to make sure it is working properly. -
How do i fix my wifi if it connects and the bars are blue but no check sign appears next to the wifi name and does not connect to the internet???
Did you already try to reset the iPod by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data.
If this does not work, try to reset the network settings in Settings/General/Reset. After that you'll have to put in the passwords for all known networks again.

A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

Then:
Does the iOS device connect to other networks? See other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My mac air OSX10.8.5 won't connect to the internet. It says it has a 'self assigned IP address and therefore cannot connect to the internet'. Network diagnostics is unable to the solve the problem. Use the Airport Utility or log into your wireless device via http and ensure the DHCP/NAT service is enabled. If accessing via HTTP, you will need to manually set an ip within your local subnet (eg: 192.168.0.x).

Try changing the channel in use in case you're getting interference.
If you have WEP enabled on the Internet Sharing it'ss worth disabling it whilst troubleshooting the connectivity issues.

If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPad. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
First, test your iPad on some other WiFi networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
If your iPad does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. You could try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to see if that corrects the problem. If not, contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPad is bad.

A message saying "ethernet has a self assigned IP address and will not connect to the internet" comes up whenever I plug the cable in. Everyone's computers work except for mine work in the house and I have tried different cords and connecting sites.

You may need to click the Padlock bottom left at this point if it's locked, enter the admin password to unlock
In the left hand column drag the Ethernet connection to the top of the list and remove any you don't use
Click the Advanced button bottom right
Click the TCP/IP Tab
Set Configure IPv4 to Using DHCP
Click OK bottom right and you should see the Router IP number appear and a unique but similar one for your Mac
Click Ok then click Apply and close the Panel -

What model Time Capsule do you have?
If you changed the system over from another router.. have you rebooted the entire network.. particularly a cable modem.. did you power off for at least 20min..

how do you purchase a ringtone? i have enabled 'ringtones' in the 'general' section of itunes preferences and i am connected to the internet but i just cant see where in the itunes store to click once i am at the song i want to turn into a ringtone. help!

You have to create a ringtones. Google will find several ways to do this.

My Satellite L675D-S7014 won't connect to the internet
Hello Everyone, I'm new to the Toshiba forums here and my problem has me stumped.
I have a Toshiba Satellite L675D-7014, Running Windows 7. Modifications include a WD Blue 500 gb hard drive and 8gb of ram.
After doing a complete system restore the laptop would not connect to the internet. The wireless light is on, the soft-switch says the wireless is on, the network connections center says it's on but disconnected, And in the list of wireless networks, for a brief moment, the network will show up, but then disappear. I tried disabling and enabling the wireless adapter, doing another system restore, removing and re-installing all drivers. I haven't been able to switch out for another wireless adapter only because I discovered the screw has been stripped (it was purchased new and sent to Toshiba twice for repair, the only times this computer has been opened besides my previous mentioned upgrades)
I also tried to run Ubuntu 12.10 but encountered similar problemsHi ! Like I said there will be better replies latter. Right click on the bars in the task bar; trouble shoot or set up a new connection. Sorry that's all I know!! Just because other devices can connect, doesn't mean yours will. I'm tired and I'm going to bed. Good luck. Wait for better replies !

The same happened to me, but here's a fix.
If it is password encrypted, when you first turn on your macbook, and they give you the internet connection list, Click on advance, and select "This computer does not connect to the internet" Then everything will finish installing.
Now when you see the wireless symbol on top of your screen (right next to the blue tooth) select Airport ON if it isn't enabled. Then connect to your wireless router, and when it asks for the password, click on the internet password type, and select the "Wireless WEP 12/48 key...or something like that" and it should connect. That is what I did to my macbook and it worked
