Satellite C855 Wifi Adapter not found

I saw simliar posts but I still have not found the answer I am looking for. I have a C855 which was a best buy about 5 months ago. About 3 weeks ago, the wifi started to disconnect without warning. All my other 6 wifi connections (tv's and other devices) work fine to this day. It was tough to get restarted but eventually I did. (I could not tell you what I did, it seemed to have a mind of its own). About two weeks ago, the Realtek adapter quit showing up in device manager. I am thinking it is a hardware probelem. I don't recall any updates and my anti-virus was uptodate. I took it to my geek and they tried to update and troubleshoot it through the ethernet connection which works well. Their diagnosis was a software problem and suggested I "refresh" my computer. If it did not work, then diagnosis started at $199. I paid $350 for the computer. Of course, I refreshed it and nothing changed. Any suggestions before I go back to a Dell?

i´ve the similar problem, i gave format to my laptop with windows 7 and change to windows 8 pro (64 bits), is a satellite c855-sp5266km, i tried to find the driver to network controller to this laptop but i can´t find, Is the only driver to install missing me. that the picture to the message, please help me

Hello ! I got problem.
Some days ago my wifi worked fine until now .Now i got error like this: adapter not found. Can't access wifi anymore. I think my drivers are updated, i had downloaded the latest from your site. I tried format, but that didn't help too, system restore didn't help, unistalling old drivers and installing new drivers didn't help. But sometimes it will find my wireless connections and it will work fine, but sometimes it's gone. Currently i'm connected with cable. I have tried many solutions but none of them have helped me. Can you answer what to do?

In device manager, network adapters, Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter.
Make sure the box is checked, allow computer to turn off this device to save power. If the box is unchecked, the My WiFi Adapter will go missing.

V570 intel wifi technology adapter not found

I have re-installed Win 7 OS, and installed all drivers except for the WIFI, I have 3 driver folders WIDI, WIMAX, WLAN..I am not sure what all 3 of them do, I would first like to know that.
2ndly I want to install wireless setup on this, somebody please help me do this as I am having trouble understanding on how to do this..I tried all of them where WIDI set up says the device is not compatible, while other errors are ADAPTER NOT FOUND.

Hola, ni se rompan la cabeza tratando de arreglarlo o llevandolo a un tecnico que no sea de apple ni mucho menos arriesgando su equipo metiendolo al congelando, yo tengo el mismo problema y tan facil lo lleve al apple service y me dijeron que no tiene reparacion, me dijeron que si mi garantia de apple estaba todavia vigente me lo tenian que cambiar por un equipo nuevo y que tenia que hacer respaldo de mi info, entregar mi equipo y en 3 semanas me llega un equipo nuevo, no necesitan su factura de compra, simplemente necesitan su equipo y con el numero de serie ellos mismos checan la vigencia de su garantia. WiFi device not found.

After I upgrade my IPhone 4s to ios8.1, the wifi can't be opened.
And I search 'wifi' in log found something below:

I had the same issue. Went to Genius bar and they wanted to charge me £170 to replace the phone. They wouldn't admit it is a common issue - even though this has clearly happened to huge numbers of people after updating to IOS8. Apple must have know this would happen and clearly see it as a route to more profit when everybody has to upgrade their phone.
I'm disgusted by Apple. This is not how you treat customers who buy your ridiculously expensive products!

BDP-S390 Wireless Adapter not found

I purchsaed my BDP-S390 2 days ago and the internet was working perfectly, then this morning when I tried to use it, it wasn't working (getting unable to connect) so I reset the Network settings and tried setting up the adapter again (my wireless is working fine on my laptop and smart phone) and now I'm getting an error message saying that the Wireless LAN Adapter can't be found and to check the devices USB port, but the adapter is built-in. I've reset the Network settings (and the device) a couple of times and it doesn't fix it, anything else I can try? Thanks.

I have updated my BDP-S390 to the latest firmware (via burning a CD from downloaded file), and still get the message about "USB Wireless LAN Adapter not found". Somewhere in this forum, advice was given to then restore the unit to factory settings, which I did, but I still get the error message. Call to telephone support said that means the built-in LAN adapter is broken, and I have 3 choices: 1. Send the unit in for repair (a lot of trouble, and I'd have to pay since it's more than a year old).2. Buy a USB LAN adapter (I have to purchase).3. Hardwire the unit to my internet gateway with an ethernet cable (impractical, since in different part of house). I find it completely unacceptable that my unit suddenly stopped working like this. I find it unbelievable that there was an actual hardware failure within my unit, since so many people report the same failure (or if it is, it's a systemic failure that Sony should fix for free, else supply the USB adapter). I suppose I will try option #2 above (purchase a USB LAN adapter), since Amazon has one for $10 or so: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008IFXQFU?refRID=1Q425HCH8G6TCNENYT80&ref_=pd_cart_vw_2_1_p Maybe it will work. No Wireless networks found (WIFI adapter not visible)

From 2-3 days , my laptop's wifi adapter was disabled automatically.
The wireless network doesn't showing WIFI option.
Therefore I am not able to connect to any WIFI network.
Please help

Thank you for your inquiry.
I grasp that your wireless was automatically disabled and you are unable to enable it.
If you check Device Manager is there any errors on it?
You can check this setting also while you are in Device Manager.
Click on the network adapters to expand the list.
Right click on the wireless adapter and choose properties.
Click on the power management tab.
If allow the computer to turn off this device to save power is checked please remove it .
Repeat that process for any additional network adapters.

As this is a recent occurrence you could test for a hardware failure of the card.

You could also try a HP PCs - Refresh Your PC to Resolve Problems (Windows 8) which will reinstall your Windows but should not affect your files. I do suggest that you do a backup of your files just to be on the safe side.

and 0 resaults...
my newly installed windows 7 home premium 64Bit doesn't identify any wifi device, and after installing a driver from a different source my computer gets stuck while trying to connect to a network.
Do you have any idea what can I do? How to get my internet running?

If you are having the same problem, find your laptop's specifications, find your wifi adapter, search for the drivers for it.

WiFi Adapter not detected on T530

Hi there, I just purchased a refurb T530 form the Lenovo outlet and have had enormous problems with the Wifi Adapter. Machine: T530 Win 64 Pro Wifi card Realtek I know there have been many similar discussions of this issue in the past, so I can start by eliminating certain possibilities based on previous posts.
1. The plug-in Ethernet functions fine.
2. Toggle power switch has been tried, as well as FN+F5, which generates a message about no supported wireless adapters being found.
3 WiFi card does not show up in the Device Manager (DM). There are no errors for other hardware components listed in the DM.
4. WiFi does not show up in the BIOS.
5. Lenovo support sent me a replacement WiFi card, but an Intel model, which immediately generated an error message upon bootup about a non-compatible PCI card. I reinstalled the original Realtek card and still cannot see it in the DM or BIOS.
6. Have tried loading and unloading various drivers with respect to both the WiFi card as well as power management and hotkey features.
This is brand new machine, and hence will go back to Lenovo under warranty service, but I would much prefer to handle this without the shipping hassle back-and-forth, plus I would like to understand the underlying issue to prevent its recurrence (especially if it's software based and not simply a defective chip). Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

If adapter isn't broken, fitted to the slot preperly and turned on it should be recognised by system on the pci-e bus and seen in the Device Manager at least as Unknown device.
To ensue that open powershell window and copy-past (via right click menu) the following string:
Get-WmiObject Win32_PNPEntity | Where-Object{$_.ConfigManagerErrorCode -ne 0} | Select Name, DeviceID
If adapter is recognised but doesn't have drivers installed, you'll see its description.
Or you can check wireless adapter by its description context:
Get-WmiObject Win32_PNPEntity | Where-Object{$_.Name –Match “DeviceName”} | Select Name, DeviceID
Replace "DeviceName" in the string above with "Raltek", "Wireless", "Adapter" etc. (keep the quotes)

HP Pavilion dv6-3043ee Realtek Network Adapter not found in Device Manager

Hi I own an HP Pavilion dv6-3043ee, 64bit and running Windows 7. And somehow the network adapter for the LAN got uninstalled for some reason. Now after posting something on the site I finally downloaded the driver for my laptop.
Now another problem, after or at the end of the installation process a pop up message was shown:
"The Realtek Network Controller was not found,
If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable."
Now I checked Device Manager to see if the Realtek Network Adapter was there but it wasn't. All I can see are:
-Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n Wifi Adapter
-Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
-Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocl TDI)
-TAP-Windows Adapter V9

If device is identified but there is no driver for it, it will be appeared as unknown device in Device Manager with question mark icon (?), are you seeing such thing in device manager?
If not, you should refer to your PC manufacturer's website and download.
Make sure report this issue using Feedback App.

Ralink Wifi Adapter Not showing

My device manager doesnt show my Ralink wifi adapter. When i click on view hidden devices, i can see it there but it says Code 45 error, hardware not connected. Why is this happening? Please help. Im unable to use wifi on my device because of this!

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system it has built in Wireless troubleshooting assistance.

Here is a document on Airplane mode.
If Airplane mode is on you cannot use your WiFi and you would see the code 45 not connected, so Airplane mode should off and no Ethernet cable connected for the Wireless troubleshooting.

WiFi Adapter Not Detected

Hello, I recently just got a WiFi adapter for my Mac because my Mac's inbuilt one doesn't have that good range. I'm running Mavericks 10.9.5. When I plugged in the dongle, it did not light up and my Mac did not even recognize it, but when I plugged it in to my Windows PC, it was recognized and working perfectly. Nokia X6 Wifi network not found

I've been using my home wifi connection on my phone for a while, but then one day when I tried connecting it, it says 'WLAN network not found' I've tried refreshing it a lot of times and it sometimes shows up, but it doesn't let me connect. Could it possibly be because of my network at home, or is it something to do with the phone?

same thing was happening to me on my x7-00. To fix it First try checking if other apps are using wifi and close them. If it doesnt work try restarting you phone and see if it works. If it doesnt work try deleteing your wifi accsess point from you phone and try reconecting to wifi network, phone will automaticly set accsess points again, and it should work. If not try factory setting reset to you phone and it should work 100%. Of non of this methods are working try checking you wifi router setting and check if mac filteringnig function is blocking you or not. You can also try connecting to an other wifi network.

For successful OS installation HDD must be recognized by BIOS and listed there. If I understand you right HDD is not listed in BIOS settings.
Is this correct?
Try to set BIOS to default settings and check it again. If there is no some hardware related issue HDD must be recognized. In case that HDD is not visible for BIOS your next step could be HDD exchange and test with new HDD inside.
By the same result Im afraid you need professional help. It is possible that HDD controller is defective.

I've just finished installing the OS, and installed the driver DVD from MSI
Windows 7 is not recognizing that an network adapter is onboard
I reflashed the BIOS to current version 1.9 - no change
LAN is enabled in BIOS
When I try and install the Realtek drivers, I get the "Realtek Network Controller not found" error

No I wasn't questioning or accusing him of questioning my ability... merely that I know what I'm doing. Much of the advice has been responses suggesting things I already mentioned in my first post.
I will try the rear I/O panel and reset that as well.
