Satellite L - Can't change size of video

I cannot change the size of my video. It doesn't fill in the whole screen anymore and my games are also "cut off".
I tried to adjust it from media player, messed with all the different setttings, nothing. I really like to watch my movies and play my games full screen. I can't figure it out and it's driving me crazy. I have no idea what happened, it was playing full screen for a while and then suddenly - whoom, not anymore :(

Hi, yes I tried. I actually tried to play with almost anything I could think it might help. And anything Toshiba "help" suggested. I am also trying to remember if I did something, like new download..., about the time the screen switched, but I don't think so.

Can't change size of a picture after trying to create an action, help!!!

Just tried to automate a batch and resize, and then save for web all of the pictures - it didn't work the way I wanted (probably recorded something wrong). But When I tried to rerecord the action - it became impossible to change size of the pictures. What's wrong? I already restarted my computer, but the function of size changing still isn't working.

If all you want to do is to resize your images for the web you do not have to record an action you can do that with the Image Processor script that ships with Photoshop. Menu File>Scripts>Image Processor. You can also have it include one of your actions when its processing your images. You can also select image in the bridge then use menu Tools>Photoshop>Image processor

Satellite L750 - Can I change to Win 7 64bit and how?

New Satellite L750 preloaded with windows 7.
In setup process was asked to choose 32 bit or 64 bit operating system.
Chose 32bit and I am having second thoughts.
Will I notice the difference? Can I change to 64 bit and how?

Start the Recover process once again!
Power up the unit, press F8 and choose Repair my Computer.
Then new window will open and there you can choose HDD recovery.
Usually you should be asked once again what version you want to use.

To what size from what template?
A business card is basically just a rectangle so just make one the right size, clear the rest and option drag out copies of yours to the other positions. You will need to move the crop marks as well.

How can I enlarge size of video?

My video is in that proper aspect ration in widescreen format, but does not stretch all the way across my iMovie viewer. It is about 75% the size it should be. Does anyone know how to enlarge footage to its proper size, i.e. full size? Thanks.

Oh, so it seems that iMovie unnecessarily pillarboxed the material, right?
iMovie HD has a preference setting for Automatic DV Pillarboxing & Letterboxing:
This setting matters when importing 4:3 material to a 16:9 DV Widescreen project (pillarboxing), or when importing 16:9 material to a 4:3 DV project (letterboxing) from a camcorder.
Unchecking the "iMovie HD/Preferences.../Import/Automatic DV Pillarboxing & Letterboxing" setting doesn't do those actions automatically after importing and when switching to edit mode.
If for some reason that settings doesn't seem to work, you can try to save and quit the project immediately after importing (do NOT switch to edit mode!). When you then open the project, there should be no pillarboxing or letterboxing.

Are you trying to do this through iTunes on your iPad? If you are, you can't. You sync photos over to iPad from your computer, with your iPad connected to iTunes. To answer your question about changing the size of the screen, take your thunb and forefinger and swipe them apart to enlarge the page. The best way to describe this would be to take your thumb and forefinger and put them on the page with both fingers touching each other and move both fingers at the same time away from each other.

Can't change size of attached photos when emailed.

I scan photos to my desk top and then work on them with Elements 8. I save back to my desk top. I try to attach them to a email and want to reduce the size. I set it for medium size but it only goes to a very small picture that is hard to see. It can not be enlarged when recieved. I can send as actual size and it will send them, but they are very big files. I can send a photo that has not been worked on with no problem. Am I changing the type, it says jpeg?

What is the original size in pixel dimensions of the scans?
(look under Image>Resize>Image Size to read the pixel dimensions and then just press cancel in the dialog)

Also when scanning you might want to save the scans to your desktop as tif files instead of jpegs.
You'll probably get better quality scans as the jpeg format can cause artifacts because of lossy compression.

Change size of video

I have just started editing a show for my school on Final Cut Express. i filmed the show using two cameras, one still and one handheld. i imported both the films and the still cameras footage is a larger screen size than the handheld. I did use a better camera for the still. Is there any way of changing the size.

Open you still camera footage in viewer, select motion tab (drag it from viewer window to and reselct video tab in viewer), and play with the scale slider to the desired size..

How can I change the default video conversion applied when I copy an AVI file from my PC to my Android HTC One M8 phone?

Here's the situation...
I have an Android HTC One M8 phone which I connect via USB cable to my PC, then I use Windows Explorer to drag and drop an AVI file from my PC onto a target folder on the phone. When I would do this after I had first purchased my phone a message box
would come up with the heading "Convert and Copy" and ask me "Do you want to convert <filename> before it's copied to your device?" and give me the options "Yes, convert and copy (recommended)" or "No, just
copy Your file will be copied, but might not play on your device."
If I chose to convert it converted the file to MP4. No problem, that's what I wanted.
The problem I now have is that after doing some work with other video applications a while ago where I was outputting WMV files I now find that the default conversion for the above described copy from PC to Android phone now converts files to WMV.
I simply want it to go back to converting video files copied to my phone as MP4, but I can't seem to find where I can set this!
It appears that the copy/conversion process in Explorer is being handled in the "Portable Devices Shell Extension" dll - WPDSHEXT.DLL
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to set the default video conversion back to MP4 ???

I actually had no clue what the core problem was caused by. So it's Windows itself...that helps some.
I'll resubmit there. It might actually have saved time for it to simply have been moved to there instead of off-topic, though I suppose you have to follow protocol.

Can you change size of fonts in premiere pro user interface -- the text is often so small it is hard to read

The text is often so small it is hard to read. It would be nice if as in the Blender animation program you can easily increase the size of fonts used in the program's user interface, through the "preferences" menu item.

Can you change iphone 4 video output from ntsc to pal?

Hi All, I am connecting my iphone 4 to a Pioneer AVH3200BT car reciever using the composite in ports on the back. I found that using a USB connection would not let me view and hear videos. Using the AV inputs allows me watch video and hear it but there is a background buzz only when the video is active. I need to get rid of the buzz. Any help?

Unfortunately, it's not technically supported. Unless you have an Apple TV.

New to flash, swf loaded while changing size

i'm trying to create a button that will replace the current
swf with another and i want the size to change between the various
sizes of each page. i'm currently using the following code in the
action inspector:

You can't change size dynamically as it is defined by the
object embed tags.
You could use WMODE transparency which could help you fake it
tho not always best
solution to go with WMODE. It's a very buggy parameter.
WMODE will remove the background color so the flash movie
appear over the html and you
can see the HTML content trough the movie.
You could define some solid shape for the background on
bottom layer to make it look
like SWF background, than change it with the other loaded
movie making it appear as it
changed size while the over all flash size stats the same. As
said above - faking it.

Is there a way to permanently change the default video player to VLC?

I installed the QuickTime update and now all my AVIs won't play with sound. Downloaded VLC and they will play with sound. I went to 'Get Info' on an avi and changed 'open with' to VLC and selected 'change all'. They will open and play with VLC until I re-boot, then everything changes back to QuickTime. Right now I just hate Quicktime and don't want to use it. How can I change the default video player to VLC without Quicktime changing it back when I reboot?

Sounds like you changed it properly. The question now becomes, "Why isn't the change being saved?" Have you tried repairing your disk permissions? As to the original problem, it could be that the QT upgrade has rearranged the order of your stored codec components table called by QT. While this table is rebuilt each time the QT Player is opened, the table seems to be ordered from latest component installments to oldest. So there is the possibility that two (or more) components are allocated for playback of you AVI files and the wrong one now has priority. If you can find it (e.g., possibly Perian), you could simply remove it from the QT components folder and then replace it to again change the "build" order for the table. (Basically, you would need to run a component conflict test strategy here.)
