Even afre one month suppplier have not done this.

Hi
Ivan is right. Try to find a good price for these modules. Furthermore the memory upgrade is not difficult. At the bottom of the unit you will find a cover which is fixed with two screws. This cover is placed in the middle. Simply remove this two screws and you will be able to see the memory slots.

  • Satellite L10-102 RAM upgrade not working

    Hi,
I bought 512MB PC3200 RAM to my L10. After installing the module the computer failed to boot up. I tried all possible combinations (like changing the slots, installing only the new modules) but the computer only boots up with its original memory module. I would appreciate any help on the issue.

    Hi,
the Satellite L10 needs this memory:

  • Memory upgrade on Satellite L10

My wife recently purchased a Satellite L10-114 which has 256 RAM. She is finding use a little on the slow side compared to my L20 with 512. Am I right in assuming another 256 could be added in the second memory slot to achieve 512?
Or does the existing 256 need to be replaced with a 512?

    Hello
I have found info that your unit can handle with 1024 MB max. The compatible memory modules are:
    PC2700 256MB (PA3311U-1M25)
    PC2700 512MB (PA3312U-1M51)
I recommend you to buy 512 MB module and set it in the slot where you have 256 MB and this module set to empty one. You will see that the notebook will be more powerful. Believe me it is very good investment.

What type of memory, specific for SATELLITE L10-202 ( i.e.Toshiba part number or equivalents), should I use on operation memory upgrade up to 1GB?

    Hi
The L10-202 Satellite supports the 200-Pin PC2700 (333Mhz) DDR SODIMM memory modules and can be upgraded up to 1GB (2x 512Mb)

  • I want to upgrade the HDD on Satellite L10

    HI
I am new to the forum, I purchased a satellite l10 two years ago and was looking at upgrading my hard drive, looking at toshiba accessories It recommends I purchase an external hd, but this just means extra items to carry, can anyone advise or help me

    Hi
Of course you can upgrade the HDD.
If you want to upgrade the HDD you have buy one which is compatible and supported by BIOS.
Not every HDD size is supported by BIOS. There is a limitation and bigger HDDs could be not recognized.
The Sat L10 supports an enhanced IDE (ATA-6) interface and some units were delivered with the 40GB HDD.
I think a 60GB HDD should be compatible. Maybe also a 80GB HDD but Im not 100% sure about this HDD size.
If you want you can test it.

  • I need to identify my Satellite L300-10Q in order to upgrade it

    Hello,
I have an aging Satellite laptop I was considering to upgrade. Unfortunately I can't find reliable information about it. I tried to find the model in different Toshiba european websites using the automatic search, the serial number and the manual searching to no avail.
My model doesn't appear in the support sections nor the discontinued products sections, although I cand find pretty older models in the latter.
These are the model, part number and serial numbers I have:
    Model: Satellite L300-10Q
    Part Number: PSLB0E-00901VCE
    Serial Number: 38212076Q
The "closest" model I've found is the "Satellite Pro L300-10P" in the Spanish website
    http://www.toshiba.es/discontinued-products/satellite-pro-l300-10p/
It has the same hardware specifications than my laptop, the only difference I found in the description is the OS version. It seems that this model is limited to 2Gb of RAM at max (already preinstalled).
Do you think that my device could have that same limitation? Is there any other site to look for my laptop specifications?
I mean, a reliable one (I can find my model using Google, but the results are all prehistoric advertisements of vendors that copypasted the (who knows its origin) same information.
Also, is it possible to replace the original HDD with a SSD? I think the interface is SATA (150 MB/s), maybe it's not worth it.
Thank you in advance... and excuse my poor writing skills in english.
    Regards

Why you dont install some hardware diagnostic tools like Everest Home Edit or the Sandra Sisoft to get all the details about your hardware parts?
Both tools are freeware and can be downloaded from different pages.
Such tools help you to identify the built in parts and you could also get information about the hardware properties: i.e chipset, CPU, HDD controller (SATA), etc
By the way; the chipset seems to be the Mobile Intel GL960 Express Chipset and such chipset supports max 2GB RAM

  • VGA Driver for Vista - Satellite L10

I have installed Windows Vista Final (By MSDN Subscription at my IT firm) on my Toshiba Satellite L10-209 laptop. Everything is running excellent except that the Display adapter (VGA) is not defined properly. The VGA adapter is a 128MB, but the system information under "Accessories" displays the VGA RAM as "Not Supported". I think it needs a new driver. Is it correct? And where can I find the Driver? Please help! ...

    Hi
I think you dont need new graphic driver. In my opinion you have misunderstood something and its a wrong interpretation of this message.
The Satellite L10-209 was delivered with a shared memory graphic card and doesnt not support an own memory.
Therefore I think the message VGA RAM - Not Supported" means that the graphic card doesnt not support an own memory but uses the notebooks main memory.

  • Satellite L10: I want to install a wireless connection - How?

i have a satellite L10....and i want to install a wireless connection...on the help pages on config free it's said that the alternative "fast connecting" will appear after you install the toshiba wireless projector...what is that? and se anyone know how i can do this without getting myself more confused??

    Hi
    This is Toshiba wireless projector:
    http://www.projectorcentral.com/wi-fi_toshiba_tlp-t501.htm
Like you can see its not a fast connecting Wireless card or something like that.
First of all it would be very interesting to know the detailed name of your unit because I dont know if your notebook has a wireless card or if its possible to upgrade the unit with the miniPCI wireless card.
If your notebook has a wireless card so you should need to enable the wireless antenna. The switch you should find at the unit side. Furthermore choose the wifi with the key combination FN+F8.
Well, now you need a AccesPoint in your neighborhood. If there is a one available so you should see it. Go to network connections. There you should select the wireless network and refresh network list.
But if you dont have a wireless card so you have to upgrade your notebook with the minPCI card, or USB wireless stick or a PCMCIA wireless card
    Best regards

  • I have ver 10.5.8 with 4Gb of memory, can I upgrade to snow leopard?

I have a Mac Pro running version 10.5.8 with 4Gb of memory, can I upgrade to snow leopard?
    My info is:
    Processor 2x2.8 Ghz Intel
    Memory 4GB
but when I saw the upgrade for Snow Leopard it said something about needing 5GB?
I'm not the best with tech stuff (obviously never upgraded since I got this one) and not sure if I will be able to.
    Any advice most appreciated.
Need to know as I can't seem to get new itunes to download.
    Thank you in advance.

Luckily prices have dropped while the quality has improved. Your system can take DDR2 FBDIMMs of 800MHz and 667MHz
    2x2GB FBDIMM DDR2 667MHz @ $30

Ideal is to pick up a new drive and leave your system as is and do a clean install and let Setup Assistant merge your old system files.
You may be using the original ATI 2600XT it shipped with? I would replace it with Apple's ATI 5770.
Also plan to start with a new TimeMachine backup set and leave the old one as is, you can reuse it later.
4GB is 'fine' but also is on the "I would not want to run with less" department.
What will make your Mac run faster and smoother is a small SSD boot drive, Samsung 840 128GB.
    SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 128GB
    http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Electronics-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-7TE120BW/dp/B00E3 W15P0/
For now Snow Leopard is still supported but Apple wants to move as many users and systems as possible to 10.9 Maverick, free upgrade from Snow Leopard. But a major overhaul and doing so 10.7 and later dropped support for older applications.
You might even want to see what you use and if you need to purchase or make upgrades to apps you use now in going to 10.6.8.  http://www.roaringapps.com

  • Re: Satellite L10-90 - Time settings are wrong if I start computer the next

Hi, I have Satellite L10-90 with XP Home. Since about one month the time setting is always wrong. I have synchronized the time and it seems to be corrected. But if I start the computer the next day, the time is wrong again. I have found some information in Google. Some people say that the battery on board is already discharged and need to be replayed with a new one.
I don't know what could be the reason. If I need a new battery, where is it on this computer and how to change it?
    Help will be appreciated.

    Hi
I have did the following tests:
1 Synchronize the time with time.windows.com, the time will be set correctly. The current time will be displayed and the time goes on. Shut down the labtop, wait, turn on the labtop, the time is wrong. The time beginns from the moment at which the labtop shuted down.
2 Synchronize the time with time.nist.gov, the problem is the same as 1.
3 I just have normal DSL, don't connet my labtop to a server.
4 I always use the AC/DC adapter as power supply. Even I shut down the labtop, it is still connected
It seems that if the labtop is off, the time wil stop.
    Any ideas?

  • I have OS X what do I need to do to upgrade to snow leopard or newer?

What do I need to do to upgrade to the most current OS from OS X 10.5.08?

The 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD is in the Apple online store. You can get it for $19.99. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard After you’ve installed that then download the 10.6.8 combo updater to finish it off. http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 You will need to be running 10.6.8 to access the App Store to order 10.9 Mavericks which is a download only.
    System Requirements for 10.6:
Mac computer with an Intel processor
    1GB of memory
    5GB of available disk space
    DVD drive for installation
Some features require a compatible internet service provider: fees may apply.
10.9 Mavericks is available in the App Store for free.
You can upgrade direct from 10.6.8 to 10.9 Mavericks or without going through 10.7 Lion or10.8 Mountain Lion as long as you have the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody through the Mid 2010 White Unibody model 7,1.
10.9 Mavericks will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.
As for third party programs see this list for compatibility with 10.7 http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
Also 10.9 Mavericks doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under10.9 Mavericks.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors in 2006 they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications.

  • Satellite L10-333: Display stays black until I tap the edge of the screen

I have a Satellite L10-333 which is about 3 years old, it has suddenly began to have screen problems.
It started with a white screen instead of the normal one, and a black line all the way down the middle.
Now when I turn the pc on, the screen stays black and dead until I tap the edge of the screen and when the screen comes to life, I have to hold and press a certain part of the lid so the screen stays on...
Does someone know what the problem is??
I thought it could be a loose wire or connection.
Does anyone else have or had this problem?
    Thanks for your help..

I agree with you. It must be some contact problem. In my opinion it is not important if someone else has this problem too and you must find solution as soon as possible.
The notebook must be disassembled and the screen connection must be checked. Now is the question what to do. Can you check it alone or you need professional help?
