Satellite L350D-12M - Can I use another mainboard?

Is there any other mother boards I can use to replace the faulty one In this model of laptop finding it very hard to replace like for like

Hi nobbler1,
Dont compare notebooks with desktop computers! Notebook parts are specific parts for one notebook series only and so you cant take a mainboard from another notebook model like Satellite A or Qosmio. They are different and will not fit.
I dont know why you need a new mainboard but contact the authorized service provider in your country. There you can get a new mainboard.
Furthermore you are right. Its not easy to exchange the mainboard. This is tricky and you have to remove a lot of screws and parts.

My phone has reached the maximum number of free accounts activated where can I buy one to use?

You can't buy another one.  You have to reuse one of the accounts previously set up on your phone, or create a new one to use on another iOS device (running iOS 5 or higher) or Mac (running OS X 10.7.2 or higher), if you have one.

  • Can I use another Mac's system restore disc on my Mac?

    Q. Can I use the grey coloured System Restore discs that shipped with Mac A to install OS X onto Mac B?
    A. In most cases, due to technical and licensing reasons, the answer is no. The answer is definitely no if any of the following apply:
Any part of the software on the system restore disc is currently installed or in use on Mac A, or on any other computer1
The OS on the disc is any version of Leopard (10.5.x), or is any version of Tiger later than 10.4.42
Either of the two Macs has an Intel processor3
The system restore discs from Mac A contain an older version of Mac OS X than the version of Mac OS X that was on the install discs that would have shipped with Mac B4
However, an installation attempt may be successful, and compliant with all OS X licensing terms, if all of the following conditions are met:
No part of the software on the system restore disc is currently installed or in use on Mac A, or on any other computer1
The OS on the disc is Tiger 10.4.3 or earlier, or is an earlier version of OS X (10.3.x, 10.2.x, etc)2
Both Mac A and Mac B have PowerPC processors (G3, G4, or G5)3
The system restore discs from Mac A contain a newer version of Mac OS X than the version of Mac OS X that was on the install discs that would have shipped with Mac B4
All terms of the Mac OS X Software License Agreement are followed, particularly sections 2 and 3 regarding permitted usage and transfer.
Even if all the above conditions are met, software restore discs contain computer-specific releases of Mac OS X, and may not install or work properly on a Mac that has a hardware configuration that is significantly different than the original.
    Notes
The license agreement for single user copies of all versions of OS X, including all versions that ship on system restore discs, do not permit any part of the software to be installed or used on more than one computer at the same time.
The provision restricting the use of grey coloured system restore discs to the same Mac with which they shipped was introduced with the 10.4.4 Software License Agreement, and has been carried through to the 10.5 Leopard Software License Agreement. This restriction was not present in the Software License Agreement for earlier versions of Tiger, nor for earlier versions of Mac OS X.
All Macs with Intel processors shipped with a Mac OS X EULA restricting usage of the software restore discs to that Mac only. The license that shipped with G3, G4, or G5 Macs that shipped with 10.4.3 or earlier permit the transfer of OS X to another Mac, provided that all terms of the license agreement are followed. Furthermore, the architecture of PowerPC and Intel systems are incompatible enough that neither platform's system restore discs will install on the other.
Mac OS X system software will not properly run on, and may not even install on, any Mac that is newer than it, because the software lacks the hardware drivers to run properly on the newer hardware. Details are in this document: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2186

Gray Install Discs are Machine specific, so even if both were Intel iMacs they'd have to be the same Models.
Leopard 10.5.x is another possible option besides Tiger/10.4.x.
    Tiger Requirements...
To use Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, your Macintosh needs:
    * A PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor
    * Built-in FireWire
    * At least 256 MB of RAM (I recommend 1GB minimum)
    * DVD drive (DVD-ROM), Combo (CD-RW/DVD-ROM) or SuperDrive (DVD-R) for installation
    * At least 3 GB of free disk space; 4 GB if you install the XCode 2 Developer Tools (I recommend 20GB minimum)

    Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
    * Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
    minimum system requirements
    * 512MB of memory (I say 2GB at least)
    * DVD drive for installation
    * 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
You have to call Apple & likely ask for a Product Specialist to get it, if they still have it!

  • Can't burn to DVD from iMovie (4.0) using iDVD.  Can I use another program?

Suddenly, after making several DVDs with this computer using its old version of iMovie without trouble, I can't burn my latest creation...I'm getting a message saying that "You cannot use this version of the application iDVD with this version of Mac OS X."
I cannot update to the newest OS X Snow Leopard, because I've tried and my computer is not intel-based.
So, has my iDVD application has been updated to suddenly be incompatible?? How has it worked before?
(I've tried to upgrade my iMovie application to the current iMovie '11, but my computer is not intel-based.)
Is there another solution to my problem? Is there another application that I can use to burn from iMovie to a DVD besides using iDVD? (Remember, I have an old computer.) :o)
Thank you so much for any help you can give!

You can try using BURN at http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net/Pages/English/home.html

  • My phone is going to be cut of by orange cos I can't afford the bill but I got my current phone direct from apple shop can I use another SIM card from another network in

my iPhone is going to be cut of by orange as I can't afford the bill, my current phone is direct from an apple shop as I had to have it replaced , can I put another sim in from another network and use my phone on a pay as you go from O2

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

  • How can i use another folder to save sent messages...

    hi,
i want to use another folder to save sent messages as usually send messages are stored in sent folder, but due to some reasons i want to store sent messages into another folder, how can i do this?
    thanks in anticipation.

You cannot use the local variable of the chart to save anything. You would need to use the History property to save the current data and the TDMS Write will not accept that data type either. You could convert the history data to a 1D waveform data type.

  • Can I use another program in stead of Itunes

    Dear,
Itunes is not a userfriendly program is it possible to use another programm in stead of itunes. I want to keep al my CD's in WAV files, as I go for high quality. Some problems that I face when I put WAV files in itunes are:
    - As I work with an external disk of 150GB my itunes librairy is sometimes empty. To fill my librairy I have to add my complete itunes map to that libriary. It does not only take a lot of time, but the real problem is that my complete CD info has gone. I wil give an example. When I put music in my Librairy I name the following items: Name of song, CD, artist and genre. But if I have to renew my library Itunes shows 01 <songname 1>, 02 <songname 2> .... etc. My complete info of that CD has gone. I don't know the genre, CD name and artist anymore. I takes days to correct it. It is terrible.
    - Another problem is that I can not ad booklets to a WAV file.
    - Moreover, I have a lot of DVD's that I want to Add in Itunes. As I go for quality, It is not possible to copy the complete DVD at DVD quality and the menu structure and subtitels have gone. As I'm dutch I like to have dutch subtitles. In Itunes this is not possible.
As Itunes is not userfriendly, can anybody tell me with alternative programm I can use
    Your sincerely
    Ivo Cerfontaine

Oh, and fyi, I have installed a multi plugin and tried to use several itunes skins from Deviantart, and I have no clue what to do with any of it. I need detailed instructions please, I am a noob at this!

  • Satellite P200D-134 - can not use the Toshiba DVD player

I have the Satellite P200D-134 and can not use the Toshiba DVD player.
    It displays an error message.
"Required modules missing for this application"
In Vista it worked everything fine.
Now I upgraded Windows 7 Ultimate and all Toshiba programs are gone.
And I can not use the Software HD DVD player or other Software from Toshiba.
    What should I do?
Does anyone have any advice? Is there any help?
Please write back in German or English.
    Thank you!
    Rob

    Hi
Did you install the VAP (value added package)?
    If not do that!!!
Furthermore I recommend installing the DVD Player Update Check Tool which can be found on the Toshiba European driver page.
With this tool, you can check your notebook, if your DVD-Player needs a Upgrade and if yes, it gives you the download link for the needed upgrade version.
By the way: If you cannot find the DVD Player for Win 7 in P200D section then you can download this from the P500 section!

  • How come i can not use another carrier

the last time i bought a cell phone(motorola) with no contract i could put any carrier at any time but with apple iphone it is not letting me i do not get it why did i pay 745 if i can not put it on any carrier.
    thanks.

Apple will NOT unlock a phone for you; only the carrier it is locked to can do that.
You put it on one carrier, somehow it got lock. Apple will NOT unlock it for you. You have to get the CARRIER to do that. If you bought it UNlocked, but got a locked one, take it back. Just because you got your iPhone contract FREE does NOT mean it is UNlocked, it mean you can cancel you usage from that carrier at any time, but still can't take your phone to a new one and use it.
