Satellite L505-13X - Doesn't start at the first time

my laptop does not start at the first time I turn and I put it out several times that it starts

Hello
> thanks you my friend but my problem has not been answered yet. because i have more than one laptop and all have the same problem
For me it sounds like a software problem.
I mean if you have installed XP, nobody knows which drivers you have installed and applications. Everything could cause this issue and in this case you have to search for a solution yourself.
If you install the OS from Toshiba recovery disk and everything works properly, its not a hardware malfunction and not an issue of Toshiba.

  • ITunes doesn't open after the first time

    Hi, my iTunes after the last upgrading doesn't open. Really it open the first time after starting pc then , when i shut down it seems frozen. Could you help me? Do you ave a solution?

    Try following steps and test one at a time:
    1. Restart computer, right mouse click iTunes icon and select "Run As Administrator"
    2. If that does not work, check to see if this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
    Close your iTunes.
    Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
    Now open itunes and see if it is working?
    If that works, to prevent having to do the same process everytime you restart Windows, go to. START button, type in
    MSCONFIG
    Hit ENTER
    Click STARTUP Tab, Uncheck "Apple Push", click OK.
    Restart Windows.
    3. If that fails or you don't see ApsDaemon.exe in the Processes, refer to following article to remove SC files:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2363
    4. If that fails, repair or reinstall your Quicktime. START / CONTROL PANEL / PROGRAMS N FEATURES / hightlight QUICKTIME and click REPAIR.

  • Making a flash movie delay before starting for the first time

    Flash noob here. I've currently got a little bit of
    actionscript in my flash movie which makes it loop a couple times,
    and then pause, before looping over again, and then pausing again,
    and wash-rinse-repeat, which is fine.
    But now what I also need is to add a small bit of code
    (preferably on the first frame) which allows me to set a delay
    time, that the movie will just appear to be paused, but it should
    ONLY do this the first time. Every other time, the movie should
    loop like it does normally.
    The reason is because I've got about 3 movies on my page,
    when one stops moving, I want a 2nd one to start, then when that
    one stops, the 3nd will start, and when the third one stops, the
    1irst one will start again, etc. so I have to time it just
    right.

    If it might help, here's the code I have so far. The movie
    has 17 frames. But that shouldn't matter, I was going to just go by
    the loop count, and try to even them up that way.
    frame 1
    function pause(){
    play();
    clearInterval(timer);
    loopCount=0;
    frame 16
    if (!loopCount) {
    var loopCount:Number = 0;
    loopCount++;
    if (loopCount < 5) {
    this.gotoAndPlay(1);
    } else {
    this.gotoAndPlay(17);
    frame 17
    stop(); // 60000 = 1 minute
    timer = setInterval(pause, 10000);

  • HT2500 mail starts like the first time asking to configure account

    After restarting mya mac book when it froze ... I opened Mail and started as if I was using it for the first time, asking to configure email accounts.
    Is there a way to get back all my accounts and emails?

    Check & see how many Users accounts are in the Users folder at root of the drive, perhaps your home folder got renamed?
    Return to default desktop, apparent "loss" of home directory, (it can happen spontaneously too)...

  • IPad 2 starting for the first time without itunes ?

    Hello everyone,
    I just bought an iPad 2  for my brother in India. :-).  A brand new iPad 2 in a white box from best buy. I have couple of questions and hope the forum members would help. Thank you.
    1. As i unboxed , i pressed the Home button, and the iPad screen didn't show the connect to itunes logo,instead led me thru' a series of steps like registering for itunes/apple password and it just started on its own. It works fine though ,however i found this to be weird to start without connecting to itunes. Is this considered "normal" for recent iPad 2's to start without itunes ?.
    2. What kind of travel adapter would you suggest for use in India /240V ?. I was suggested to purchase  a world adapter kit from apple store for $39.00 ,but i would use only one adapter and the rest wouldn't be of any use ? Could you suggest an adapter to use in India ?

    Thank you. My question is about starting iPad 2 for the first time without connecting to iTunes ?
    As of iOS 5, it is quite feasible to start up, configure and use an iPad without connecting to iTunes. My New IPad has NEVER been synched to a computer.

    Yes. OSX is telling you to either connect a USB mouse, or power on your wireless mouse.

  • I Chat will not start for the first time on my Macbook Pro after Migration

    Hi hope someone can help as this problem has stumped me. I cannot get ICHAT to even start having migrated all applications via Migration Assistant from a Macbook to a Macbook Pro. Everything else seems to work fine except when I run ICHAT and follow setup I get to a final screen which locks without showing a DONE button to complete the setup process! I have reloaded OS X, downloaded the OS X Combo OSand tried that, deleted the app and started again just in case but to no avail. Can anyone help? The application worked fine on the old Macbook but not on this machine.

    Hi,
    Welcome to the    Discussions
    Please tells us which version of iChat was moved to the new computer ?
    What OS is the new computer at otherwise ?
    I would guess you will have to do th Hard way
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1486891&tstart=0
    and include the Support folders in any Reinstall
    Please note the Post time I add to my post as it may be some time before I post again.

  • Why so long to start my Mac Pro the first time?

    Today I just received my new Mac Pro - it's an 8 core machine with the hardware raid card and three 500GB hard drives.
    So I carefully unpacked it, checked everything and connected up keyboard, mouse, display and LAN cable. Then I turned it on and I've been waiting ever since.
    First all I got was a white screen, then after about 2 or 3 minutes the apple logo in the centre of the screen. After another 15 minutes or so I got a blue screen and then after another 15 minutes or so a "select language" dialogue. 30 minutes on all there is is the spinning coloured wheel.
    Surely it is not usual to take so long to start up the first time? Should I just carry on waiting? Suggestions welcome - I'm coming to Mac for the first time from Linux after playing around with a colleague's MacBook.
    Thanks

    Hi there. It could be one of your drives is actually defective and causing I/O to slow down to a crawl. To verify this, try inserting the DVD that came with your Mac Pro and restarting the machine while holding down the 'C' key. This will boot up the machine off the DVD and bypass your hard disks. If it boots quicker there could be a problem with the drives or something else.

  • Satellite A205-S4607 doesn't start after windows vista update

    Hello,
    I was installing windows vista updates, but the battery was low and the computer turned off, then, the computer doesn´t start, only the hard disc led is light but the screen is black, please can you help me?
    The model is Satellite A205 -S4607

    Thanks for your advice, but the problem is very complicate, the computer doesn't boot up, only the led te HD is ligthing, I removed the HD and the memory but doesn't work, I've read that the problem could be the bios, and the recomendation is remove the battery of the board to reset the bios, but I think it is very dangerous.

  • Application started using Java Web Start doesn't launch the first time

    I have a Facebook photo uploader application that I plan to distribute using Java Web Start. I'm using Java 6u4 on Windows XP SP2 with 2GB of RAM. I have Java 6u3, Java 6u4 and Java 5 u14 installed and I'm sure the one used is Java 6u4.
    I signed my application and make use of all security settings.

    </jnlp>Here is the link for my application http://antaki.ca/bloom/Bloom.jnlp
    The first time the application is installed using a link on the browser it's downloaded then the certificate dialog is shown, after that I check the checkbox to accept the certificate permanently. The application doesn't load, it only loads the second time although I see it in the task manager. If I don't accept the certificate permanently it does load. This happens on both Firefox 2 and IE 7. I enabled the console and logging but nothing shows up there.That's really a weird problem, I wonder if Java Web Start is a viable deployment option, it does have great capabilities such as autoupdate but still seems to have important bugs.
    Does anyone have any clue about what is going on.
    The problem doesn't occur on Ubuntu 7.10.
    Thanks,
    Carl Antaki

    You were right my XML file was not correct. I still couldn't find a valid JNLP validator. Sun has to provide that.>No they don't (have to supply a validator for their own document type, though it makes sense to do so), but yes they do (provide a tool that validates XML against schemas). Java can validate XML against a DTD or XSD.
    Check these two threads (and chase the links) for more details.
    JNLP xsd schema

    Validate XML against DTD? XSD OK. SSCCE.

    Look especially for the posts by Piotr Kobzda.
    I had a tool on my site based largely on Piotr's codes, that linked to a valid JNLP DTD and XSD, but unfortunately my site is offline at the moment. Andy assures me that the JNLP 6.0 DTD has been corrected for the developer ..download tutorials of web start, though the online (web site) version may still be invalid.

  • I record some information to some slides but the presentation doesn't start from the 1st one but from the one I started the recording. What should I do?

    I record some information to some slides but the presentation doesn't start from the 1st one but from the one I started the recording. What should I do?
    Also, can I use music as backround to some of the slides, not to all of them as I'd like to play videos on the others?

    I have reinstalled the drivers. I watched it install the realtec and cirrus drivers. Hovering the mouse over the speaker icon says 'speakers: HP'. They are actually 'Creative'. 'Properties' indicates 'IDT High Definition CODEC' and 'This device is working correctly'.
    Driver details gives 'c:\Windows\system32\drivers\dmk.sys'.
    There is still no sound, although the little level meter on the control shows a green bar rising and falling.
    Obviously, it thinks it's working, but there's no connection to the speakers. They're not muted, either. I checked that too.
    Any other ideas?
    Thanks.

  • Config Tool doesn't start from the application list

    Hi all,
    I have installed Planning, EAS, and Workforce on a server but when I go to configure the tools, the config tool doesn't start from the page where you select the applications to configure. Instead, it starts with all the apps listed with the message: "You have selected the above apps to configure" and it has a Back button but it doesn't work, and it has a Next button and when I press it, it says Done.
    I need to configure the database and deploy to the application server.
    The Shared services is on a different server and is up and running. Essbase is on a separate server and that's up and running.
    I am working with 11.1.1.3 32 bit applications on a 64 bit Windows OS.
    If you have run into this, please let me know what am I missing?
    Thanks

    Hi
    First of all I couldnt get your problem as in your query description you have written "sometimes the video doesn't skips a couple of seconds from the beginning even though the value of NetStream.time property is 0" which is contradictory with the query title "Video doesn't start from the beginning".
    But anyways I think you should check ns.time in Play.Start there you should get always 0 but in Buffer.Full there may be the case that ns.time is not 0 but has some value but that value is very small less than 1.
    If still you have issue please clarify your problem then probably I will be able to answer your query.
    Regards,
    Amit

  • Exporting to iTunes: track doesn't start at the beginning

    Hi'all
    This isn't a specific GB'08 question...I have exported a number of podcasts to iTunes and downloaded them onto my Shuffle. Annoyingly, they tend not to begin at the start of the track, but rather, a few seconds in. It is possible to rewind to the beginning of the track, so it is all there, but I can't encourage the tracks to begin there!
    Any help would be much appreciated!
    Many thanks

    One trick is to move the entire podcast/song over a measure or two, so it doesn't start on the downbeat of measure 1, but the downbeat of measure 2.
    Command A to select all tracks, and then slide everything over one measure to the right so measure 2 is the new "measure 1."
    That way, if a bit of measure 1 disappears, it won't effect your audio since it'll be part of the empty measure before your content begins in measure 2.

  • Satellite A500 - Windows doesn't start, how to recover now?

    Hello guys,
    Recently , a week ago, i bought a new Satellite A500- 1HK. I installed everything and after i installed Office 2007, after the restart my PC stack on Windows 7 Logo. Pls notice that at this time a had an external HDD connected. That was my first mistake.
    My second mistake was that after 5 minutes of inactivity i powered off my PC (not shutdown) and that was it. My PC totally crashed.
    My third mistake was that i did not make recovery disks from the beginning and unfortunately i dont have recovery CDS. The recovery program its on a separate partition of my laptop.I tried to solve the problem as follows: I boot the PC, pressing F8 and i went to the repair menu. At the first time after the repair nothing was happened. after this i tried to proceed to the recovery option. i choose the US language and pressed enter. Nothing was happened. the screen shows an error saying: You must log in to access sytem recovery Options. If you are having trouble logging in , please contact your computer administrator for assistance. Click ok to restart the computer.
    The only thing i imagine is that the recovery partition also crashed. What can i do now? I alrweady ordered the Recovery CD's from Toshiba and expecting them during the 2 next weeks.
    What is your opinion . What happened? I hope that the rexcovery programm will work with CD'S and i will face no problem any more.
    Thank you.
    Leonardos

    Hi buddy,
    > I alrweady ordered the Recovery CD's from Toshiba
    So in my opinion your question is already answered. Jus wait for the Toshiba recovery disk to restore factory settings.
    If HDD recovery doesnt work, your only option is Toshiba recovery disk and now its time to wait for it. Im sure you will get the disk as fast as possible.
    Good luck! :)
