Satellite L510 - Device driver wasn't successfully installed

After upgrading my Satellite L510 from Vista to Windows 7 by following toshiba upgrade tool, encountered "device driver software was not successfully installed" error when startup Windows 7. Driver details: Realtek RTL8192E Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC
Now I loss my wireless connection. Any idea how to fix / download the right driver?

Hi,
I think you have only to reinstall the driver for the notebook. You can download the driver on the Toshiba page or alternative from European Toshiba WLAN portal: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan
The driver for Realtek 8192 WLAN card is Windows 7 compatible so it should work normally. Just start the setup.exe file and follow the screen instructions. After restarting your WLAN card should work again.

This is my first post and I apologize in advance if this topic has been brought up before.
The issue is a new one for me -- I've had no problems running my iPhone on Vista until recently when it stopped showing up in my Computer window. Confused, I checked iTunes to see if it was recognized and lo and behold -- no problems there. I plugged it into my Macbook and had no issues there at all, so it's not the phone itself. I did a little Google search and exhausted what I perceive to be at the very least the basic "fixes". I uninstalled the Apple iPhone drivers from Device Manager, unplugged the USB connection after ejecting via iTunes, and then proceeded to reboot. After the boot had completed - I plugged the iPhone back in -- it was picked up and the installation of the drivers began. The Apple Mobile Device USB Driver installed successfully without a hitch, the Digital Still Camera part... not so much. If anyone has possible fixes or any information behind this at all, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks already for your time.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I think there are some issues with Vista and Iphone. Please let us know if someone has a solution to this.

Just fixed my ipod nano problem on my own and figured I'd share as I have just spent the last 4 hours trying to trouble shoot all of Apple's problems...following everyone's tips...nothing worked until I figured it out on my own.
I'm running windows 7 and have an Ipod Nano (6th Gen). Hard drive crashed on computer. Replaced HD. Everything works fine now. Downloaded iTunes along with all other programs. Nano wouldn't show up or sync on iTunes. Said Device Driver Software was not successfully installed (some USB problems). Tried everything. Finally, I figured it out.
Disconnect Nano. Uninstall iTunes AS WELL AS
Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support, and Apple Software Update. Apple only
tells you to uninstall iTunes and reinstall..restart computer bla bla bla. I said screw it and uninstalled all Apple programs (well, the listed ones above). I hooked up my nano to my computer to make sure the device manager recognized it without anything else plugged in...and it did. I unplugged it. Reinstall iTunes and all three other Apple programs listed above will also reinstall. I opened iTunes and plugged in my nano. It started with the "installing device driver software" and I was sure
it wasn't going to work. Well, it did work. My nano showed up in the upper right bar of iTunes and synced. Unreal... I unplugged my nano and plugged in the wife's. Once again, "installing device driver software." Voila! Her's showed up and synced too. I plugged mine back it to make sure it worked and it did. I'm done. It's working. Hope these steps work for you as well.

Found "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing" when installing Window 7 64bit.

I just bought X220i with Core i-3, ram 8G. When I tried to install Window 7 64bit (Coz of Ram 8G), I got the message “A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing...”. I did browse the driver (using USB 3 Driver) but, it didn't work.
Any idea to resolve?

What media are you using to install win 7? USB DVD drive, flash drive, ??? Downloaded ISO or Lenovo or Microsoft DVD?
One reason (of many) you can get this error message is bad media - corrupt download, bad burn, defective flash or optical media. I've also heard of problems with USB ports causing this. If you're using USB media, have you tried another port?
And as NINE asked, when in the process do you get this error?

Bluetooth Peripheral Device driver failure in Windows Vista

I've linked my computer and my Palm Centro using a Bluetooth connection and now I keep getting an error message that says...
"Device driver was not successfully installed...Bluetooth Peripheral Device - Failed"
It tries to search the computer to find the driver and when it can't it asks me to put in the CD that came with the phone. I do that and it still can't find the driver.
Does anyone know where I can find this mystery driver??? Please help!! Thanks

I am having the same problem with a new RocketFish Bluetooth adapter. I did NOT have this problem when I was using a Kensington USB Bluetooth adapter. One big difference that I notice between the two adapters is that the Kensington adapter came with an updated version of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack software which contained its own DUN drivers. However, the new RocketFish Bluetooth 2.0 EDR USB adapter does not seem to work with the Toshibal BT Stack.
Maybe this helps. Maybe it doesn't. Either way, I don't care. It's how I roll. I'm a smart ass.

Bluetooth device driver - Windows 7

I am unable to successfully add my Blackberry 9700 as a bluetooth device paired to my Windows 7 64 bit laptop in order to use the wireless syncing function. When I attempt to pair the device, I receive the error message "device driver was not successfully installed" and "Bluetooth peripheral device- no driver found." The properties display 2 missing drivers. Can someone advise me from where I can obtain these missing drivers. I am using Desktop Manager 5.0.1.28. Thanks

Device driver IPhone 5

have tried to connect a new iphone 5 to my PC but the device driver would not load - showed an error "device driver was not successfully installed please consult with your devioce manufacturer for assistance getting this device installed.
Have been through the Apple Support website and
- reinstalled ITunes three times - checked everything was uninstalled properly
- followed instructions to load the driver - comes up with the same error
- checked Iphone on other computer and installs fine
not sure what to do next ????

Can't Sync after IOS5 Upgrade - Device driver software was not successfully installed

I upgraded to OS5 and now can't sync. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and rebooting and still get an error saying Apple Mobile Device USB Driver was not successfully installed. This is on Windows7 64bit Anyone else had this problem?

I am still having issues completing a sync with my iPhone4 regardless of which USB port I use. I started the upgrade to iOS5 and the update to the phone completed. However, I am unable to get the phone to sync to load all of my apps to the phone. I have tried unstalling and reinstalling iTunes, including deleting any files which may have been missed by the uninstall. I have repeated this process over 5 times using IE, Chrome and Firefox just to make sure it was not a driver issue. Every time, when I connect the iPhone, I get the message it is installing the device driver for iPhone, following by the error mssage "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver Failed" Does anyone out there have any ideas?

Device Driver Software for Zire Z22

I have a Zire Z22 palm unit and am using Windows Vista on a desktop computer. I have loaded the special Palm Desktop Software suggested for Vista. But, when I connect the Palm using the USB cable and hit the hotsync button I get a message that the device driver software must be installed. It tries to search for the needed driver, but doesn't find it, not even on the Palm software disk. Where can I find the device driver software to download so I can hotsync?

Hi, and welcome to the Palm Community Forums.
There are more than one kind of Vista...32 bit or 64 bit. If your Vista machine is 64 bit, you are limited to syncing via IR (infrared) beaming. Please review the threads "stickied" near the top of the Windows Hotsync board about syncing a Z22 with 64-bit Vista.
If your Vista desktop is 32 bit, you might need to do a clean uninstall and reinstall. Stickies have that information as well.
BTW, I am moving this thread to the Windows Hotsync board.

Just got my first Apple iPod Nano 8G (4th) and has installed iTune 9.0.2 (64bit) on my Win 7 Ultimate x64. But I am not able to connect iPod nor Sync with iTune successfully even after reinstall/reboot many times with the same problem.
After the installation of iTune accomplished, I plug USB adapter into PC, then Win7 detected and started to install the driver for the hardware, but got "Device driver software wat not successfully installed" as a result.
Then I went to Device Manager tring to install the driver manually for "Apple iPod USB Driver", but finally I failed again and got "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device....", I think this is the software problem, please kindly advise, thanks a lot!

First, my officejet 4500 all-in-one installed and is working perfectly with wireless; however, I have for months still/have been getting the error/uninstall window continuously, telling me install was not successful, but again, printer, scanner, etc., working fine! But this "the installation was not successful" window is ALWAYS up or if I ctrl-alt-del and get it to end now, it comes back up; I have even let it do its thing, finish, restart, but it ALWAYS comes back up, trying to find a solution, etc. BUT MY PRINTER IS WORKING FINE! Please help me get rid of this; also, the file that it puts on desktop to troubleshoot, etc then delete afterward, I have deleted it, but this "unsuccessful" keeps trying to uninstall, reinstall; and as I said, actually went through all the steps to get it gone (printer working fine) but it will not go away! This has nothing to do with Mozilla Firefox. Device drivers are with usb drivers most of the time.
