When i hold down o it comes up no bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key When i insert disc #1 it shows window is loading files, then windows starting then the error message comes up ERROR-F3-F100-0003 An error has occured Please press (ok) to turn off computer. This is my grandson 's laptop and i don't know what he was doing when this happen. i did do F12 and tried to reboot to default setting and tried the o and that is why i brought the recovery disc,i don't know what else to try. i do appreciate you responsing back and if there is anything else i can try please let me know Thank you Cathy

I need help for my Toshiba Ultrabook Z835-P360.
So far I can not access into the computer, and I do not know what happened. I only use it to surf internet, no large program installed. When I restarted it , it stoped at "windows starting"; If I chose the repair option, after a long time, it shows "Error F-3-F100-0003"

Satellite A665 SP6004M Error:f3-f100-003

Hi.
Last Sunday I tried to upgrade the Nvidia driver for the GeForce GT330M that is in my laptop. As the progress bar goes on I barely move the laptop probably drag it half an inch over the table, after that the HDD Protection pop-up window came on and the laptop hang for 10-15 minutes; the Nvidia driver installation hang and the system became unresponsive, after this the installation conclude and restart my system, when windows log off and shut down last thing I saw was a brief BSOD.
When restart, the laptop look for external media to boot up because it can't found any HDD, so turn off and on the laptop again, and when the boot process starting appear a message who say Insert Windows CD to repair the system. So I went for the Recovery CD who came along with the laptop when new. Inserted the disc and change the boot order in the F12 menu, when the System recovery was starting a new window appear saying Error:f3-f100-003. And from there, the HDD was unable to read or sometimes the Bios doesn't even recognize him.
Yesterday bought a new HDD, one of these _http://storage.toshiba.com/storagesolutions/pc-notebook/mkxx76gsx-series _ and made a new clean install of Windows, which was fast and problem free, installed the respective drivers and everything was fine.
But today, when I restart the system, the error came again, after that I was able to start windows normally next time. So I think that is something wrong with other component, maybe the Bios, or even worse, the mainboard. I'm afraid of continue using the laptop because probably break the new HDD again. What can I do? Downgrade bios?

Trying to use system recovery but getting error f3-f100-f001

My computer currently will not start in anything but safe mode(starting normally will not load computer), so I'm trying to restore my computer to its factory defaults. However whenever I choose the Repair Your Computer option after pressing F8 at startup, I get the error f3-f100-f0010 which forces my laptop to shut down. I was getting blue screens before this happened so I believe my OS driver (Windows 7)is corrupted. How would I be able to fix this error and reinstall my OS? The Model No. of my computer is PSK2LU-001003 Toshiba Satelite, by the way.

That sounds like it's having trouble with the hard drive. Try performing a recovery by holding '0' (zero) while booting the laptop.

F3-F100-0003 error Satellite L775D-S7108

I'm going to post another thread on this error since I don't believe I have found an adequate explanation in reading the existing posts.
this computer had just eaten it's THIRD hard drive. There first two were the original Toshiba ones. One died after 5 months, the second after 7 months (just out of warranty of course). The third drive was a Seagate I bought because I was so disgusted with Toshiba. I now firmly believe there is something very wrong with the hardware of the laptop itself.
can anyone shed any other light on this? Needless to say this is most inconvenient and is preventing me from performing essential work.
I assume that "real" Toshiba employees don't get involved with these support forums, not that I expect they give a **bleep** anyway, they haven't up until now, and so I am resigned to buying a product that works reliably and junking this paperweight.

I'm a little confused. when do you get the error message? Is it a "blue screen"? Is there any other information you could provide such as how you restored the other hdd's with the OS? I agree with Eagle that heat is a laptop killer and certainly AMD chips run hot. I have a few ideas but would like to get some more detail from you first.

Satellite A200 - error message on Bule Screen when I'm doing somthing hard

Few days ago I have similar problem on my Satellite P200. After installing one third party application I have had BSOD every time when this application load. I have tried anything possible. To start in safe mode and change startup options, to rollback OS to earlier time using system restore tool. I have also tried to remove preinstalled application in safe mode but nothing has helped.
At the end I have installed OS again using recovery DVD.
So, in my case I was sure why this happen. What is with you? Does this happen if you use some certain applications? Which player and Virus scanner do you use?
Does the same happen when you try to use Microsoft disc defragmenter?

Satellite A40 - Error code 10- D: drive cannot be found

HELP PLEASE!!!
I really need some help to fix the errors on my system.
A short while ago i accidently deleted the DVD+/- optic drive to my laptop, and when I go to my computer it isnt there?
The sys. tells me that the D: drive cannot be found, and the drive was removed without preperation and cannot be found, Error code 10.
What does this mean, as I have tried to update the BIOS, and it does not need it, and i cannot find a driver for the Satellite A40 from Toshiba.
Also the drivers appear to be ok and the boxes are ticked in the device management, altho the optic drive sometimes has a yellow exclamation mark?
Tried the recovery disk and no luck.
Also the drive doesn't work now, as it doesnt read disks!

Run Regedit, and remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values from the following registry key:

Satellite P300 error message after hybernation

Hello to all,
I bought a P300 satellite on December, all sems that is working properly but after hybernation it appears this error information:
C:/program files/toshiba/TOSCDSPD/cmdpst.dll is having a error or is not ready to be executedin windows (translation from Spanish)
The system installed is windows Vista, after reseting the lab tab all works Ok.
Do you know if there is any easy solution?

I think reinstalling the Acoustic Silencer should solve this problem.

I have Satellite A200 with window vista 32 bit, when I try to log in via finger scan I got the massage (error code oxe 7210001 (An internal error occured (shared: encrypt-cryptopp(StreamTransformationFilter: invalid PKCS #7 block padding found)).)

Im not an expert with this fingerprint tool but I noticed here in forum that reinstalling the fingerprint software could help to get rid of this problem.
According the Toshiba website the newest fingerprint software is version 5.8.0.4024.
Do you have it installed? If not reinstall the fingerprint software and test it again.

Satellite L755 - Error when uninstalling Bluetooth Stack

I Have Satellite L755 . It comes with Windows 7. I formatted it and Installed a fresh copy of Windows 8 Pro.
I Installed all windows updates, then i ran Toshiba Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant and installed all the components.
then after some days i upgraded to Windows 8.1 through the store.
the bluetooth icon beside clock didn't show the option to enable/disable bluetooth and also through the settings (in the side charm), change PC settings, PC and devices, Bluetooth also it doesn't show to enable or disable Bluetooth.
I tried to re-install the Bluetooth stack it gave an error.
I decided to uninstall the Bluetooth stack and then i get the error: "'Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid'
| installed Revo Uninstaller Pro but no benefit.
I installed TuneUpUtilities2014 but no benefit.
I installed Wise Registr Cleaner but no benefit.
How can i uninstall it ??? please help?

I have done clean installation of Windows 8 -64 bit after formatting.
then I upgraded to Windows 8.1 through the store. It couldn't install the upgrade after downloading it for 3 times , but after adding the feature "Media Center" to windows 8 , I tried again to update and it downloaded and installed Windows 8.1 very successfully with no problems at all.

Satellite A80 - Error code 49 during recovery installation

I have a Toshiba Satellite A80. The computer crashed. I inserted the Windows recovery disk and error #49 with writing problem showed up.
I wonder what wrong with my laptop. Is it a hard drive problem?

I dont know when you exactly get this message but theoretically it could be a problem of the HDD. Maybe it has defective sectors and should be replaced
Can you also test the same using a Microsoft disk? Maybe the disk is scratched

Do the BIOS recognize the HDD? Check this in BIOS.
Can you boot in safe mode?
If you can go in the advanced boot menu, choose repair my computer and select the Toshiba recovery option. This procedure reinstalls the OS.
This feature is only available with a preinstall Windows Vista. If you have Windows XP, you must use the CD.

Satellite L350 - Error message on Windows 7 upgrade

Tried doing that - error message occurs while setting up uninstall & asks me to 'finish previous setup and close other applications'. I think I've done all that. I get the same message if I try to access Supervisor password via Control Panel. I've cleaned the registry - still no luck.
Is it safe to ignore this uninstall & proceed?

Hello, i have a Satellite L850-1v3 Laptop and accidentally i destroyed my Hard drive
Now, i'm trying to install Windows 8 in a new hard drive but it always get stuck on 89% and this error code come up "0xC0000005"

I downloaded Win8 and i have tried to install them in other machines with success..
Windows 7 can be installed in the hard drive..So there is a problem with the Windows 8 installation in that Laptop..
I have tried different distributions of Win8 with no success..The same error comes up

Satellite C660D - Error 651 trying to connect to internet using modem

Hi,
I'm pretty dumb with this stuff so please make any responses so a 3 year old will understand.
The problem - For some years I have used a desktop and connected to the internet using Virgin broadband modem and USB connection. Last week purchased a Satellite C660D installed the Windows 7 os supplied and tried to connect with my modem but have failed miserably.
I keep getting error 651 message but don't understand why.
I am using an ethernet connection (because my friend does on their laptop) and tried the cable on their system and it worked just fine so I don't think it is that.
If somebody is kind enough to explain what I have to do, will I be able to keep this desktop connected to the internet with the usb and connect the laptop with an ethernet at the same time so I can read the instructions while I go or will I have to print off the instructions and disconnect the desktop before trying the laptop again? Yes I am that dumb and I'm not even blonde, lol

Dont think its notebook specific issue since many different users in the internet have reported the same error message with different computers but with preinstalled Win 7.
There is no universal solution for that
