Satellite L650-111 - Where is support page?

Hello,
I bought this computer a month ago and I thought I might check the support page for this laptop for any new updates. I clicked the link in Toshiba Tempro (support for my PC or something like that) and when opened my browser there was an error saying that my product haven't been found. So I typed my serial code in and also tried the automatic recognition of the system, which both came up with the same error.
Even on that list "Find your laptop manually" i haven't seen not only my model but entire series (L650) wasn't there. Is this in any way related to the problem I am having recently ("Toshiba Service Station has stopped working")?
Please also explain me what to do in this case. I have tried manually uninstalling and re-installing the service station but the problem persists.

As far as I know Toshiba service station is not downloadable and it is part of recovery image so all you can try is to check if this application is enabled for automatic start with OS (start > run > msconfig > start-up).
Hopefully it starts with OS every time when you start your notebook. If not I really dont know what to do except to install OS again but it is not real solution.
Other way I dont understand why you dont want to hear advice from some guys here. All preinstalled stuff will not be updated soon, some new versions will be mostly offered with new notebook models and what can be eventually updated is BIOS (must not be done risky).
Enjoy your notebook and dont worry about Toshiba updates. Install Microsoft updates (important updates). They are more important as update of some Toshiba tools that you will probably not use so often.

    I have Satellite L650-111 ( part number PSK1JE-00E00PY4) and when I try to access Toshiba support page for my computer
    there is no success. Even if I try to use "detect your notebook" there is no success.

    Hi buddy,
    To be honest I dont understand your problem. I mean if your notebook will not be detected due automatic detection tool you can still search for drivers yourself. This takes one minute only.
    Your model belongs to PSK1JE series and therefore you have to search for L650 and PSK1JE downloads. Thats all! :)

  • Where is support page?

    In the Help to the App Store application, there is text here and there that if one have more questions, one should press "Support" in the quick links section.
    But, that refer to a web page that does not exist.
    When pressing "Support" in Quick Links, one end up at http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/, a link that does not exist.

    I called support about another issue and they advised me to use the support links at the itunes store support page http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ . I'm skeptical, but I gave it a shot. I'll know in 48 hours if it's going to do any good.

  • I have a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 macbook pro that has lion installed when I recieved it, according to the support pages AHT is supposed to work over the internet if it wasn't installed, Mine wasn't and it doesn't work. Where can I download it from?

    Apple Hardware Test is included on the DVDs that are shipped with some Macintosh computers. If the copy on your hard drive becomes unavailable, use the DVDs to run Apple Hardware Test.
    For Intel-based Apple computers that shipped with Mac OS X v10.5.4  or earlier, Apple Hardware Test is located on the Mac OS X Install Disc 1  and should be included with your computer.
    For Apple computers that shipped with Mac OS X v10.5.5 to 10.6.7, Apple Hardware Test is located on the Applications Install  Disc 2 and should be included with your computer.
    For some Apple computers that shipped with OS X Lion, if Apple Hardware Test cannot be found on the hard drive, an Internet-based version starts up instead.
    This doesn't work as the additional information statement says it should above.  Could someone at apple give me an idea of where to get it or what the "REAL" solution is, since it doesn't work on an internet version which was confirmed today at the Genius Bar in the Apple store.

    And how long did you hold it down?
    I held mine down for about 40-50 seconds. Then I lookat at my routers WAN light and it was flickering so I let up on the d key.
    If that does not work then maybe there is something wrong with your MBP. Is that the reason you want to run this test, something isn't right with your unit?

  • Apple support page doesn't recognize my serial number of my iphone 5. Instead it have another iPhone 5 serial number that I don't know where it comes from

    I was reading on the internet that Apple just made an iPhone 5 battery replacement program and that I need to provide the serial number to see if my iPhone cualify for the replacement. So i went to the support page where i found the link to the replacement program and just need to put my iPhone serial number and see if it cualify something that i was sure it will because the one that were affected are the one that where bought between septermber 2012 (the month i bought it) and january 2013. When i click submit i got a message that says .
    When i saw that "I already replaced the battery" I log in to my account on the support page and I didn't found my actual and only iPhone 5 i have registered in my products, BUT i have another iPhone 5 case open and 3 services to that iPhone 5 i don't know and its not mine. That iPhone have another very different serial number and when i check the services they have done are from an Apple Store in California and I from Puerto Rico.
    Can someone explain me what to do or anyone have this same problem, tell me

    It's possible that if they serviced your phone before, they replaced the entire unit making you ineligible for the battery replacement. Have you had your iPhone replaced thought Applecare recently?

    Is there an OpenGL Intel HD Graphics driver for the Satellite L650?

    I've checked latest driver information on Toshiba support and this shows driver version 8.15.10.2086 as the latest, however with it already installed in the L650 I get this error when trying to run Minecraft.

    have a new satelite l650. can anyone tell me if it has internal fax modem or do i have to purchase a exteral one.
    i'm in a rural area so no one seems to know.

    The number PSK1EA-06L02F means that this is a Toshiba notebook which was released for Australian market. Its a Satellite L650/06L model.
    I googled a little bit an didnt find any info that this unit would contain modem.
    So it seems it doesnt support.
    But you can check also the device manager. If modem is not listed there, then the modem is not included.

    I have no idea what pages or database you are meaning but the Satellite A300-20Q is not available in every country!
    This model has been released for Russia market.
    Other Sat A300-xxx models are avaialbel on other European/middle east countries.

    Im new to sony community so please take it easy on me. I was able to access support information from sonys own xperia z1s support page. But as of last night, that page is no longer existent and any searches for C6916 redirect me to the Z1 support page with no information on Z1S. Has sony stopped supporting this device?

    I wouldn't like to say as the Z1s is a T-mobile specific locked phone and may have security features in place to only allow network signals via their firmware

  • Time Capsule Firmware Update 7.5.1 - Where's "download" on support page?

    There is no "download" button available on the apple.com/support page for the latest Firmware Update (7.5.1) for the Time Capsule.
    Wouldn't care if my device would automatically bring in the update. But, it won't. It's still sitting with the 7.4.2 firmware version.
    Any ideas how to get the Time Capsule Firmware Update 7.5.1 to download?

    According to this Apple Web page

    that update is "for the latest Time Capsule and AirPort Extreme Base Station (Late 2009)". If in AirPort Utility the menu item AirPort Utility -> Check for Updates results in the message "No updates to AirPort Utility or any of your AirPort wireless devices are available at this time" (which is the case for the Time Capsule I bought in August of last year), then it would seen that update doesn't apply to your Time Capsule.

  • Toshiba Satellite L650-07U, Hard disk failure and replacement

    Hi all,
    I have Toshiba Satellite L650-07U Laptop, Model: PSK1EC-0700Q with 4GB RAM, 650GB HD, Windows 7 Home Premium installed. At the time of first use, i made Recovery DVDs which took 4 blank DVDs using Recovery media creator.
    From 2 weeks it is giving problem, at start its slowdown with every application,  then suddenly it started Hard disk failure error and ask to backup important files. From that instant i did all my backup save in another portable Hard drive.
    I had hiren boot CD, and ran RAM test and found it OK, and then run Hard Disk test and found few bad sectors at few certain point, As 650GB Hard disk was taking alot time of time for checking bad sectors, so i stopped that application.
    First I tried Recovery DVDs to restore Windows, but it failed as Laptop DVD-Writer was unable to boot from those created DVDs (DVDs are OK as had checked it on Desktop computer DVD-ROM), Laptop DVD-Writer is also working as I test few more bootable CDs and it booted perfectly, but it is not booting from Recovery DVDs.
    Than i tried to restore from Recovery partition using Factory restore settings, it erases all data and reinstall new and fresh copy of Windows 7 Home Premium. It works fine for few hours than again pops up Hard Disk Failure message again and again. I searched here in Toshiba Forum and have found similar problem with other members and finally decided that it need to replace Hard Disk with new one. As It is now two and a half month old, thats why i need to buy new Hard Disk for my Laptop.
    I checked all partitions of drive using Hiren Boot CD, and had found that there are four default partitions in Toshiba original laptop drive,
    One hidden partition of 1.5 GB
    One hidden partition of almost 21 GB
    One hidden partition of almost 12 GB
    One partition of 561 GB, which was the original partition where windows 7 was installed along with all of my Data.
    Now I want to replace faulty drive with a new one and have a lot of question in my mind which I need to share with you guys.
    At the time of first use I installed Windows 7 64 bit edition, and made Recovery DVDs, and at second time of restore to factory setting I had installed Windows 7 32 bit. I have confusion about recovery DVDs (which is not booting from default DVD-Writer of Laptop), either it has 64 Bit recovery data or 32 bit? Or have both 64 and 32 bit Data.
    Toshiba restore to factory setting without using any recovery DVD/USB is the best possible way to restore Windows 7, How can I make same recover hidden partitions from original/faulty hard drives to new hard drive partitions? Is this possible and how?
    On Default hard drive there was one partition of 561GB instead of two or more partitions. Is this possible to split partitions in new hard drives instead of one big partition?
    As Recovery DVDs are not able to boot from laptop default DVD-Writer, is it possible to open those DVDs on another System and copy tem in USB drive and use it for booting? If it is possible than please show me the steps for making bootable USB from these Recovery DVDs.

    This site is for US computers. I doubt you'll get your questions for that Canadian model answered here.
    There appear to be two recovery partitions. Maybe one for 32- and one for 64-bit Windows. Or maybe one is for English and the other for French.
    Your User's Manual isn't much help either. You probably need to ask Toshiba tech support in Canada.
    About all I have to offer is this: Be wary of drives with advanced-format technology. See my message about that.

  • Satellite L650: Some combinations with the FN button do not work on W7x64

    I have install Windows by myself - this laptop haven't any OS from factory.
    Installed Windows 7 x64, all drivers and utilites from Toshiba driver site for windows 7 x64 accessible for my laptop model.
    I have no any unknown devices in Windows Device manager, all drivers installed and all hardware components woks fine i.e. wifi or bluetooth or web camera.
    But I still can't use some of keyboard combinations with Fn button. Not all, just five combinations do not work: Fn+F2 power modes, Fn+F4 hibernate, Fn+1,2 zoom and Fn+F8 wirelles devices.
    From search I have found only mentions about Fn+1,2 zoom - this funtion provide some util named Toshiba Zoom but on download page no any Toshiba Zoom for my laptop model and W7.
    Looks like there must be installed some additional utils from vendor for handling this combinations but I cant find any additional info or soft on driver download page.
    May be there are some utils what shold be located in lists of drivers/soft for 32 bit windows and it will be fine for 64 bit one?
    All combinations which works fine like volume +- Fn+3 Fn+4 or mute Fn+ESC does not shows any popus at moment of pressing, just <span class="short_text"><span class="hps">perform <span class="hps">its <span class="hps">function <span class="hps">without any indication.
    Dear users and support, can you help me what I should install from additional utils to provide support for combinations Fn+F2 power modes, Fn+F4 hibernate Fn+1,2 zoom and Fn+F8 wirelles devices?

    Have you installed the Toshiba Value Added Package?
    Have a look on the Toshiba support/downloads website. Ensure you install the Win7 64bit version of TVAP designed for the L650 series.
    Updating the BIOS may also help.

  • WIFI is not working on Satellite L650/078

    Hi,
    Hoping someone can help, the WIFI on my Satellite L650 is not working.
    No Wifi or Bluetooth functionality. The light is not on and the function key is not brining up any options.
    Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

    Did you enable the WLan or BT before trying to use this?
    Fn + F8 switches the BT and WLan on and off
    PS: are you sure that notebook supports Bluetooth?
