Satellite L670-134 How to delete Supervisor password?

Hey, i have an epic problem.
I was with some friends in a w-lan net and then some Trojan were placed to every of our Laptops. Now he took my administrator rights and set an Supervisor Password.
Now i cant use my Laptop anymore.
Can u help me pls fast ?

You know what supervisor password is?
The supervisor password is only to secure Bios settings and Hardware setup.
Mostly set by an administrator so a user can't change Bios settings.
The user may start and shut down the notebook however he wants and he is able to work with the machine normally - he just needs the supervisor password to enter the Bios or Hardware setup.
So its kind of security and if you dont know this password, you can not delete this
In such case you have to contact the Toshiba ASP in order to remove this ;(

    Hi
Its a little confusing what you describe because after BIOS password setting it should be not possible to enter the Windows without to know the password.
As far as I know in the Toshiba HWSetup you can set only the user password. Its not a Bios password.
If you want to delete this password, you need this utility.
Then you can choose the Not registered option, type the old password and then you will get a message, that the password was removed.
I think the HWSetup you will find on you Tools & utility CD.
If not try to use the system restore tool to roll back the OS to the early point.

  • Re: Satellite L350-16U - How to recover HDD password?

I forget my massword of HDD and I can't restart my system.
How can I recover my password HDD in my notebook L350-16U?
    Thanks

    hi foued,
    hi all,
i'll try to bring some light in this discussion....
    first of all
? what is hdd password and how it works:
the password is stored on the hdd and crypts the content to protect it from unauthorized access.
lost password means: all data lost!
but there is hope: some data recovery companies maybe are able to reset this password, search for "kroll ontrack"
?new hdd required: no - only if you dont need your data,
there is an option to initialize your hdd (option in bios) *but* you will loose all data!
how it works?:the bios calls a routine in the hdd controller that formats the hdd, after that you have a blank hdd - data cant be recovered from this point!
but you got the hdd in a fresh state!
there are some "cool" scripts/methods/tools around in the internet... i wouldnt try this....
this leads you to an unusable hdd and you will not be able to recover...
sorry but the only way to get your data back is to send some money or
forget your data and install the system again after unlocking the hdd (delete whole disk data by controller)...
this is a cool security hardware stuff - no way to break!

  • How to delete saved passwords in SQL Developer User Profiles

    Hi
Can anyone advise on how to delete (or flush-out) saved passwords in SQL developer connections? I have a serious security concern about saved passwords at user level and need a quick method to remove them from the backend without actual user's intervention.
An early response is highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    UJ

I have a serious security concern about saved passwords at user levelIf you could share more about your concerns, it might help us address or alleviate said concerns. Basically if your user's desktops are secure, then so are the passwords.
To delete them w/o user intervention you would need to delete their connections by removing the file(s) from their installs. To prevent the problem from happening again, you'd need to put down a new sqldeveloper.conf file in their bin directory that would keep them from saving passwords - example here

    Hi
If you want to set the Supervisor Password so you should do it in the Supervisor password utility.
On my notebook I have found this utility in the Toshiba Assist -> secure.
I presume its also on your A4.
There you can start the Supervisor Password tool. There you have to choose the option registered.
    Please post if it work

  • How to delete a password-protected folder?

If I use disk utility to create a password-protected folder (disk image) on my Mac, could someone else easily drag that folder to the trash and delete it?
Or do you need the password to delete a password-protected folder?

The password only keeps them from opening the folder without the password. If they have access to the account, then they have the same abilities as you to install or delete files or folders.
If you don't want someone messing with your data, then they should have their own account on the computer and log out of yours when your done. You can create an account each of the other family members, or create one account for the rest of the family to use and one for you. That way you can restrict what they can and can't do on the computer such as installing applications, etc.

  • Satellite A130 -ST1311 PSRD6U - How to delete BIOS password

    Toshiba Satellite A130 -ST1311 PSRD6U-01500JB
    English with translator:
When enabling: Enter Password [ ]
I did not put password on bios.
My computer has a proprietary information. Now I must send my laptop in service centre?
If problem with Flash BIOS, must be a decision.
    I have got inconvenience!
    I have done wrong buying?

You should not be so skeptic about service work. Go to the service. They can remove HDD in front of you and take notebook in service without any data.
For password removing HDD must not be inside.
Just say them what you want and I believe there will not be any problem. ;)
Just be cool. The customer is the king! Isnt it?

  • How to access BIOS on Satellite L670-134

    Hi there,
i need to access the BIOS but i dont know the key combination.
Tried F1 F2 DEL Backspace etc none worked.
I think i turned an option like fast boot on once before... when i turn on the laptop i cant see any postscreen, the screen stays black after turning the laptop on and then the windows logo appears.
So how do i access the BIOS!?

    Hi buddy,
If you enable this fast boot option you must be very quick to enter the BIOS so press F2 key immediately after you turned on your notebook.
Alternative you can access the BIOS using preinstalled Toshiba HWsetup. The fast boot option you can also disable/enable with this tool as far as I know.

  • How to delete wrong passwords saved in the password manager

Hi, made a really stupid mistake by typing in my password incorrectly twice for a new email account, and think they have all been saved in the password manager... so now, everytime when I try to log in, three passwords will come up for me to choose.... really annoying, how can I delete the wrong passwords?? Please help

Reading between the lines (...the word entire gave me a much needed clue) I realized that both my wife and I had passwords to this website and I needed to delete both sets of lines. After months of not thinking of this system quirk it's now done. Thanks.
Of course, I had been clicking on the entire line, username-website-password, but it hadn't been working. I had given up months ago but now just felt lucky to try again.
    Ciao!

  • How can delete my password backup on itunse

i want to backup my ipad 2 ios 6.1 on my lap top on itunse ...... but iwant to delete password backup on itunse >>>!!!!!!

You can't delete it. You can restore the iPad as new and start all over again to remove the backup.
    iTunes: About iOS backups
    iTunes and encrypted backups
In the iTunes Summary screen, select "Encrypt iPhone backup" if you want to encrypt the information stored on your computer when iTunes makes a backup. Encrypted backups are indicated by a padlock icon, and a password is required to restore the information to iPhone. You may want to write down the password for your backup and store it in a safe place. If you use a Mac, when you set a password you can select to store the password in the keychain. With iOS 4 and later, you can transfer the iOS keychain backup to a new device if you encrypt the backup.
Warning: If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and then forget your password, you will not be able to restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable. If you forget the password, you can continue to back up and use the device, however you will not be able to restore the encrypted backup to any device without the password. You do not need to enter the password for your backup each time you back up or sync.
If you cannot remember the password and want to start again, you must perform a full software restore and when iTunes prompts you to select the backup from which to restore, choose set up as a new device.

  • How to delete all passwords.

I'm taking my iMac in to the Genius bar tomorrow to have them check it because it's running so slow. I have a feelilng that they will keep it for repair and I want to be sure all my passwords for places I shop, etc are off it. I can't find where they are stored. can someone guide me to the location of passwords....particularly those used online.
    Thanks
    Paula

    Hi.
Most of the passwords and Safari fill forms are stored in the keychain. You can access (and delete them) thru Keychain Access, located in Applications/Utilities.
You should also reset Safari and delete cookies and caches from other browsers you use.
    Good Luck.

  • How to delete saved password from Firefox mobile

I saved an incorrect email address

    Hello,
Firefox for Android doesn't have the option to edit saved passwords individually. You may try this addon that should do the job.

    Hope that helps.

  • How do I delete a password I accidentally saved on Firefox 4.0b11?

As Firefox 4.0b11 does not have a Tools Menu to access, I don't know how to delete a password that I accidentally saved through the browser. As I want to protect my personal information, it is important that I learn how to do this to ensure everything is secure. Going forward, how can I eliminate the box that comes up asking me if I want to remember the password? I never want the passwords to be stored.

In Firefox 4 you can press F10 or use "Firefox > Customize" to make the Menu Bar and other toolbars visible and remove the check-mark on "Tabs on Top" to place the tab bar in the old position.<br />
You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).<br />
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.<br />
Remove saved Password(s): Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

  • Satellite Pro A200 - Supervisor Password Utility Setup fails

    Hello,
I own a Satellite Pro A200-PSAE7E and a retail license for Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit (with SP1) installed on it.
Before installing Vista, I upgraded the BIOS to the most recent version available on the Toshiba site (http://it.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/vista_drivers.jsp?service=IT).
    BIOS version is now 2.20-WIN32
After the successful installation of the operating system, I started installing the various drivers and utilities downloading them from the Toshiba site.
When I try to install the "Supervisor Password Utility" the setup fails showing a message box which says "The serial number is invalid".
Same problem with another setup: "Flash Cards Support Utility"
Does anybody know how to solve this problem and which serial number is invalid?
    Thanx in advance,
    mme000

    Hi,
You are having the same trouble as other people on these forums.
If you want to fix it yourself, you would need to look at the disk image on the disk that came with your toshiba, figure out which version of the application was included on that, you might be able to find that version on the website for a different model and different country (for instance, on the canadian website, for a totally different computer than my UK computer, i found a version of the flashcards support utility that works with mine.) But i don't think its possible to see what's on the restore disk without instaling it, i.e. wiping everything off your harddrive in the process.
It really is extremely disappointing and frustrating. If anyone knows a way to communicate directly with toshiba about this problem without having to pay some sort of support fee, I would be very interested to hear about it. It seems noone from toshiba actually reads anything from these forum. It seems like a real wasted resource to me....
