Satellite L670 can't connect on 144Mps

I got a wireless router Linksys e2000, it works as 80211n.
The Satelite 670 has a connection of 72Mps and I can't get it higher.
At the sam moment a HP laptop has a connection with the sam router at 144 Mps
I've installed the latest Realtek drivers 3-12-2010 2019.1.1203.2010

Hello
I have checked the specifications of different L670 notebooks on Toshiba website and I noticed not all models support draft N so what WLAN card you have exactly?
If your notebook support draft N you should also check the power management for WLAN card. I would recommend disabling power saving that you can always use the highest speed of WLAN card.
But let me give you a word of advice: If you use WLAN connection only for Internet, 72 Mbps are enough and you will notice a performance boost with higher speed because the most Internet connections are below 72 Mbps. ;)

  • Satellite L670 - Can't connect to Bluetooth

    Hello,
I am trying to connect the bluetooth on my Satellite L670. The driver is downloaded but it does not finalize the installation. It always ask to connect to the laptop a bluetooth device.
Does this laptop have bluetooth? If not, can I use a USB bluetooth stick (any?) to connect a bluetooth device.
    Thanks for your support

    Hello

What L670 model you have exactly?
You can check the notebook specifications on official Toshiba page.

  • Satellite P100: Can I connect two external monitor to VGA & DVI port at the same time?

The Satellite P100 comes with two external monitor port. A VGA and a DVI. Can you have have two external monitor working at the same time? Can you have two external monitor as well as your internal display working at the same time (for a total of 3 display at the same time?
Here is what I have confirm:
Internal display + DVI connector display
    OR
Internal display + VGA connector display
    Is it possible to have:
DVI connector display + VGA connector display?
    OR
DVI connector display + VGA connector display + Internal display?

As far as I know this is not possible and you can use either DVI or VGA port.
For signal output can be used only one port for external display.

  • Satellite A110 - can't connect/ confree errors

    Hi there,
I'm suddenly having problems connecting to the internet, both by wireless and cable, and on any network. The icon shows limited/no connectivity, and when I try to diagnose problems, it says it can't renew my IP address. When I start up the laptop, I get a Summit error message reading *XFERRECVG_RecvMain(): socket()error 661 10106* -- although I've noticed the error number changes sometimes! I've tried updating the wlan, lan, and confree drivers, but it doesn't seem to help. When I check the hardware device manager, it shows a yellow exclamation mark by the SM Bus Controller, but a) I can't find the drivers for that, and b) I'm not sure it's related!
Does anyone have any suggestions!? I'd be really grateful...
    Kheldara

    Hi!
The driver for the SM bus is in the chipset driver package. Maybe you should try it with this driver.
    Look on the Toshiba website:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com => Support & Downloads => Download Drivers
Do you use the WLAN or LAN connection?

  • Satellite 300 - Can't connect Printer

We have 2 Toshiba Laptops, the older one is running perfectly and printing wirelessly via the NetGear print server, just purchased the Satelitte 300 and no matter how hard I try cannot get the laptop to print wirelessly - can go through all the installation procedures, tells me it recognises the printer but as soon as I press to print the test page it reverts to 'error'.
I then have to delete the printer, uninstall the drivers plug in the USB cable, plug and play kicks in and I'm able to print via usb cable but I really want to print wirelessly!
    Can anybody help?

Do both notebooks use the same Operating system?
I mean if old works with WXP and new with Vista maybe you don't have right Vista drivers. Who knows what the problem there is?
In my opinion you should contact printer manufacturer and ask what the problem can be. If the WLAN on Toshiba notebook works properly and you can connect it to your WLAN router for Toshiba it is end of the story.
Please don't understand me wrong but every issue with external devices must clarified with product manufacturer. They have enough experience with own products and I am pretty sure they can help you about it.
    Do you agree with me?

  • Satellite L350 - Can't connect via WLan

    Hi
    New to this thread lark
    Just bought a L350
I've managed to connect to the interent using a cable, but am unable to connect via wifi.
Wifi is switched on. It finds my BT Home Hub, but when i connect it just says it is unable to.
    Help, please

Did you check the Wifi device in Device Manager? Is the driver installed properly?
Try disabling your Firewall, that could be blocking the Wifi connection.
Also try pressing Fn+F9 to toggle the Wireless devices

  • Satellite L670-1DW - can't connect 3.5 jack

    Hi,
I recently buy this notebook, but I can't connect standard 3.5 jack headphones (or microphone) - connector is too long, I can't plug it entire.
Manual says notebook have 3.5 connectors, so where is problem?
(PS: sorry for my english, I didn't use it for a few years...)
    Thanks for answers.

Yes, manuals says it has 3,5 mm audio port and it is standard for all Toshiba notebooks.
    Where is the problem?
It is not easy to say. Maybe you use some other standard.
Talk with your local dealer and ask him where the problem is. Show the headset/ headphones and ask him what is wrong there.
It is not easy to discuss this on the forum. We dont know which device you want to use and how it looks like.

  • Why can't we replace the WLAN card on Satellite L670?

    Hi,
I'm using a Sattelite L670-143 PSK3EE which comes with a default Atheros AR9285 wireless network adapter.
I've tried replacing this one with the 5Ghz Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230, which has a 2pin connection too.
Unfortunatelly, the card is being properly recognised by Windows7 but for some reason it has no signal.
Running inSSIDer, there is no single surrounding device found, while even my own router is advertising at the 5GHz band, and the taskbar icon tells me the Intel is the Wifi network but it always states that Wifi is switched off.
Trying to turn on/off thhe wireless network by using the special FN+F8 key combination, I am unable to switch it on.
Please has anyone succesfully installed a third party network adapter in a Sattelite ? Is Toshiba blocking any but the default wireless adapters ? and/or how can we make them to operate next to only being properly detected by Windows but unable to switch the signal on ?
    Thank you for any help.

ok, i hope you know how yo get to your wifi card inside your laptop, i try to explain as best as possible to show which pin in your new wifi card has to be taped off, so it cannot get signal (Hardware Radio Off) from the bios.
Pin layout can be different for other wifi cards, so i can only show the pin the tape off for this specific card.
My laptop = Satellite L670-140 (in this model the wifi card is underneath the keyboard, follow steps 5,6,7 from this site to unscrew it.
Wifi Card used = Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 (2pin antenna like the default Atheros one)
    * Before replacing, make sure laptop is properly shut off, disconnected from mains, and battery removed.
    * Also make sure you have your proper driver for your card downloaded beforehand, since you most probably will need it before being able to connect to the internet.
    * Also, write down the new card's MAC address. (most probably you'll find it on a little sticker on the wifi card)
Here are 2 screenshots showing which pin to tape off for disallowing the BIOS from Hardware Blocking the radio signal.
Front & Back of the wifi card : http://i.imgur.com/96D5q.jpg
Screenshot show which pin to tape off : http://imgur.com/TZiQv
So, as you position your wifi as seen on the last screenshot, it's the 2nd pin from the right, on the largest pin row.
make sure only this specific pin is taped off, and no others, and make sure the tape strip does not come loose once you put the new wifi inside its slot.
    - After replacing, it's only a matter of starting up, letting the new card get properly recognized by windows.
    - I installed the wifi driver from Intel just in case, don't know if it's actually needed, most probably Windows will install all you need by default once the card is being detected.
    - After that, i had to power down the laptop, switch off the router for 1 minute, switch back on router & switch on laptop. (doing the correct software steps to set up an internet connection with the card may be needed.)
If your router is configured to only allow specific MAC addresses from connecting, then simply configure your router to allow this card's mac address.
BTW: If your laptop has a "software way" of switching ON/OFF the radio signal ( FN+F8 keycombination in my case), you can still switch ON/OFF the card as you which, as long as the card does not get "Hardware Blocked" which should be corrected if you properly taped of the pin shown.
I'm sorry if i'm not sounding that clear, i'll try helping as best as i know/can.

  • Satellite L670-DX1 - after SP1 installation can't use memory card reader

    Hi
Since I have upgraded my Satellite L670-DX1 from Win7 64Bits to Win7 64 bits SP1 (2 days ago) I can't use my memory card reader anymore, it always says it is a bad card and I should better reformat the card, with any card.
Does anyone have a similar problem or even better a solution for me?
    Greetings

yes i have installed sp1 using windows updater, i have tried to let the laptop search for new drivers, and i have the newest, i can't role it back because some virusscanning software makes it fail (allthough i made them inactive after cutting the wireless connection and before putting the old configurations back)

No, that is impossible on any normal phone from any of the major manufacturers.
The only information that your phone is capable of getting from satellites is GPS data for positioning and navigation.

  • Satellite A100 - Can't get a Internet connection

    Hi,
I have a Satellite A100 and I am having trouble establishing a internet connection after having my reg/cleaned by uniblue, and for the love of me cant get a connection.
I mange to get my hub connected to internet but my laptop just wont allow connection it's an MCE and it works perfectly well. I have had so many differing answers all to do with differing addresses, it all ways says another vendor has control or an error 678. It does seem like it's an access issue between my IP provider and my system provider not communicating through IT PROTOCOL and my system XP PROFESSIONAL.
    Can anyone help please?

    Hi
To be honest your posting is a little bit hard to understand and doesnt contain all important informations.
Can you connect to Internet via WLAN or LAN?
What happens now exactly if you try to make an Internet connection?
Can your router connect to Internet? What is the status there?
If you have some problems with your internet provider you have to contact them directly. They can check your connection and make sure that you are using the right login informations.

  • Satellite L20-101: can't connect my TV with the svhs

    Hi dudes,
    i have a problem.
I have a L20 - 101 and i can't connect my tv with the svhs exit of my toshiba.
I reinstalled drivers for motherboard and videographics, what can i try?
    thanks

Ok, sounds like a really un-nice problem.
So, how do you try to switch to the TV? You have the option in your display properties, but does the machine *recognize* the TV? You have also the key combination FN+F5 to change the display, did you already tried it?
And regarding your display drivers (which vga do you have? nvidia or ati?)
You can take a look here to find the latest working drivers for mobile platforms:

    Good luck buddy

  • Satellite C655D-S5533 can't connect to internet through ethernet (wireless connection ok)

I can't get an ethernet connection thru my ISP's (Comcast) internet cable box.  I clicked the LAN icon on control panel but still can't connect.

First, reboot the Comcast box and then reboot the computer.  If it still doesn't work, look in Device Manager under Network Adapters. If the LAN adapter shown there is Atheros, reinstall using THIS driver.  If it says something else, post back.  I'm assuming you are still using Windows 7 64 bit that came with the machine.

  • Satellite L670-1JP external HDD not always recognized on start-up

I bought a Samsung G3 external HD. The first time i plugged it in, it was directly recognized by my Toshiba Satellite L670-1JP and worked with no problems.
But later, almost everytime I start up my computer, he does not find the external HD. I then have to unplug en replug the USB connection several times to make it work.
This is rather time consuming, so how can I solve this problem ?

    Hi
Do other USB devices work properly in connection with the Satellite L notebook?
Did you test this external HDD with other computers/notebooks?
I think you should do this because it could be a external HDD malfunction.
    Check this!

  • Re: Problems with Win7 start-up on new Satellite L670-17x

    Hi guys,
three days ago I received my new Toshiba Satellite L670-17x. The installation of Win7 was not a problem, but now (after the third or fourth boot) I suddenly have a big trouble with the OS.
When I switch on my Notebook, it loads till I can see the Windows loading screen. Then - at once - the Notebook stop working... I only see the loading screen, but nothing happens. The litte light at the frontsite (which shows that the Notebook loads/works) goes off. No error messages.
I want to avoid to use the Toshiba HDD Recovery, because I saved some (important) documents on the desktop (I know... not very intelligent). I ask you to help me with my problem.
(By the way: I allready tried the Startup Repair, System Restore, Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool and to start Windows in the Safe Mode).
    Thank you for your answers!

If you cannot start OS in safe mode, than, I think, you have a big problem. Im afraid only HDD recovery installation will help you with this.
The question is what to do with these data.
Maybe you should remove HDD and connect it to other computer as external one to have full access to all these data. Copy them, put HDD back into your Satellite and install OS again using HDD recovery option.
