Satellite L750-1EZ: No WLan connection if 5-6 metres away from router

Hi everyone!
i have a problem with my wify conecction.
When i am near the router, the wifi conecction works perfect, i get a full wifi indicator on windows and i have no trouble surfing the web.
But when i go about 5-6 metres away from the router, althoug the wifi indicator gets two or three coverage stripes, my laptop can't make the conection.
It's too weird, because i have wifi signal, as i said.
hope i explained properly.
can anyone help me?

I assume the notebook disconnects using battery mode.
I think you should disable the power saving for WLan.
This can be done in Win 7 power management.
Should do that and additionally you can check the settings in device manager -> WLan card -> properties.
There is a advanced tab which contains some options which could improve the Wlan performance.

I have a problem with my wify conecction.

Thanks for the answers.
1) I changed the power settings in order to have high performance for both cases. With the battery power supply and with the AC power connected.
2) Im sure I have the latest update for my wlan driver.
Is pretty weird because (when Im away from the router) the connection works good for a while and then fails for a few minutes, after that, works just fine again.
Maybe I have to change the wlan settings, I dont know. A friend told me that probably my wlan card is not well connected, what do you think? Should I open my laptop and check?

Want to have My iPod Touch to be connected to a WiFi while away From Home

While at Home I am connected to my WiFi through my computer system but when I am away from home there isn't very much WiFi Hot spots in my area except when I am in a Star bucks or in a business that says that they have "Free" WiFi. I have a few WiFi iPod Touch Apps that are able to locate Free WiFi Hot Spots but when I go and try to use them when I am away from home I am not able to use it at all.
Is there a way that I can have my iPod Touch to be set up where I can be connect to any WiFis when I am away from Home? or have my iPod Touch to be able to search for any WiFis in my area?
Note: I have a MobileMe Account and I have a email account with my local Isp which is a Pop account.

I'll add another positive review about the MiFi device and its use with a Touch. I've had this for about 2 months, and it works very well. And I'll disagree with the poster who said "get an iPhone".
The MiFi has several advantages over the iPhone -- First, it's a mobile hotspot that can provide WiFi for up to 5 devices simultaneously (the iPhone can't do that, even once AT&T enables tethering); Second, the MiFi allows use of a network other than AT&T (which many users may appreciate)...aside from Verizon, Sprint sells a version that works on its network; Finally, the price of the MiFi and its usage plan may well end up being less expensive than an iPhone.
It's not cheap, but then again, neither is an iPhone and its usage plan. I spend nearly $60/month on the expensive MiFi plan, but can switch down (and then back up) to the lower-priced $40/month plan if I don't need the full 5gb a month that the higher plan provides.
Sure, you don't get a telephone with the Touch + MiFi solution (although Skype works well if you add a microphone to your Touch), but not everyone wants/needs a phone...and for those who want primarily data/WiFi/Web, the MiFi with a Touch will give an iPhone a real run for its money.
I'll also add that the original poster may just need access to more hotspots - i.e., other than those that advertise "free" WiFi. If that's the case, she might consider something like a Boingo membership which will get her online in many places...including just about every McDonalds in the US.

My iPad loses connection after waking away from router even in the next room over.

I know it's just my iPad, as when other people with iPads are here (or even just with my iPhone), they still have their connection and mine is lost. Or when I go places, people will have their connection pretty far away from their router and my connection is lost. I have rebooted the iPad and nothing. My iPad screen cracked previously so I took it someplace to get it fixed, so I don't know if that has anything to deal with it? Help please!?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

HT5278 I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 5.1.1 Now I no longer will connect to the network when away from Wifi. Also, I am not able to connect to some of my Aps (Instagram being one).

Satellite L750-1DR - can't connect Bose Soundlink speaker

Recently the bluetooth connection from my laptop to my Bose Soundlink II speaker has been erratic.
But in the last 2 days I haven't been able to get a connection at all. I've tried everything I can find on the various forums - pressing and holding the mute button on the speaker, pressing and holding the bluetooth button but no joy.
I've now disconnected the speaker and can't get it connected again - the wizard is unable to find it.
To clarify, yes the device is set to discoverable, it sits right beside my laptop and I haven't made any other changes or installed any new programmes in the last few days
The speakers connect perfectly to my Blackberry and Ipad.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by BT headset or BT Module. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Toshiba Bluetooth stack if that's any help but still no joy.
When I go to Bluetooth Managerand select "add new connection" nothing happens but eventually a box appears to ask if I want to add a new connection. It eventually recognises the Bose speaker but when I try to connect to it I get a message saying "an error occurred".
I connected the laptop via Bluetooth to my Blackberry and it works fine. So the laptop is connecting to other devices as is the speaker but the only problem is laptop to speaker. This is driving me crazy! Thanks.

MB Pro tries to connect to Time Capsule when away from home network resulting in annoying error message - how do I fix this?

I have a 13" MB Pro late 2011 model running Mountain Lion with 2.5 ghz and 8 GB ram. I have a TC setup at home as wireless network and my phones, ipads, PCs, and MB Pro all connect to it with no problem. The problem is when I leave home and connect to another wireless network my MB Pro tries to connect to the TC about every 15 seconds and a message pops up saying it could not connect to the server "Time Capsule" and it forces me to click ok. As you can imagine, clicking ok every 15 seconds makes it impossible to use the computer. I have tried turning off time machine but it makes no difference.
I have tried to read other posts and could not find the answer. Only reason I state this is because I once asked a question and there was another post out there and several got mad at me. I'm just trying to figure this out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ipod wont connect to wifi if more than 2-3 feet away from router

I have a 32Gb 4th Generation Ipod Touch which until last week was working perfectly.
About 3 days ago I started having problems connecting to my home wi-fi network. If I sit within 2-3 feet of the router it finds it okay and will connect, but anywhere over that distance I get nothing.
All the other devices in my house, including another 4th Generation Ipod all connect okay.
I have tried rebooting the router and changing the wireless channel number, although I have always used the same channel number. I have also done a Network Reset and Full Reset on the 32Gb Ipod, but nothing has changed.
The Ipod is only 4 months old and was purchased from Argos.
Is there anything else I can do to try and resolve this or shall I just take it back for an exchange / repair?

Only MBP loses internet connection when I move away from router

Last week I started having trouble with my old Motorola modem/router. I bought a new Zoom modem/router and set it up on Friday. The router is under my desk maybe 12 feet from the top of my stairs (not in a room, it's in an open loft at the top of the stairs). Right now I am on my MBP at my desk, wirelessly connected, and everything is fine. However, if I take my MBP downstairs (or even on to the stairs), I lose internet. The wi-fi status always shows full strength. My iPhone and iPad get wi-fi fine downstairs, even though the wi-fi status doesn't show full strength. It is driving me crazy. What could be causing this? I had similar instances like Genius _Boy; wherein, my wireless connection of my gateway kept on dropping every 20 minutes. I reloaded the firmware of my gateway. I performed a hard reset to fix it. I changed the wireless channels of my Linksys mode- router from 6 to 11 then 9. I also discovered during my troubleshooting that my microwave oven and 2.4 ghz cordless phones are interfering with my wireless signal. So, I decided to move my wireless modem away from router. I even updated the drivers of my wireless adapters of my windows 7 and windows 8 laptops. Now, my gateway seems to be stable.
