After installing Windows8 pro upgrade I have the following issue and not sure how to fix this
Was said I had to reinstall in windows 8
AMD CATALYST INSTALL MANAGER & ATI CATALYST CONTROL CENTRE
I need the info how to install these drivers AND LINK TO THE CORRECT DRIVERS TO DOWNLOAD
Please if someone can help

Hmm it seems that just few Win 8 drivers are released for this unit.
Ive got another idea.
Win 8 supports and provides an own repair and fix options.

There are different ways to recover or repair a PC which are:

I would recommend trying the first option called *Refresh:*

How do I remove AMD VISION Engine Control Center that appears in my programs section? It does not appear in control center programs for uninstalling. Thanks, ideato! That worked great, and I didn't really even have to restart Firefox to see that it did. I just changed it as you suggested, then opened a new tab, and ''voila'', it was blank!
For anyone else with this issue, if you use ideato's link to about:config, it takes you to a help page which says to type "about:config" into the browser's url field, which takes you to the page where this change can be made....

CATALYST(TM) Control Center + Radeon

I have just swopped out my fx5700Ultra for a Radeon 9800 Pro. Its my first ATI card, was always an nvidia man. Anyway can anyone tell me whats the deal with the ATI CATALYST(TM) Control Center, the one you need to have MS .Net Framework to use. Whats the deal with needing to have the .net framework installed to use a c.c. I thought the .net framework had got to do with the internet.

You don't have to use the CCC right now, the old control panel works perfectly well.
The .net framework is a programming toolset that provides cross-language portability.

Cannot start AMD Vision Engine Control Center

HP Pavilion p7-1534 Desktop PC, Windows 8, 64-bit, When i try to open AMD VISION Engine Control Center, I keep get this message,( AMD VISION Engine Control Center cannot be started. there are currently no settings that can be configured using AMD VISION Engine Control Center). This happen after i download and install some tech demos, that was two months ago. Today, i was going to do a restore but my restore points don't go back two months ago. What should i do. When i first bought this PC two months ago, i could open it fine.

FFMPEG screencast is not working for WoW under Wine (AMD Catalyst)

Hi all. I'm trying to record game video using ffmpeg, but each time when I actually switch my focus to the game window, the picture freezes. Here is the example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4kfKpgcTAE This is World of Warcraft running under wine. I use AMD Catalyst beta-driver from the unofficial repository (mentioned here) on x64 system (lib32-catalyst-utils also installed).
I tried this:
ffmpeg -f x11grab -r 30 -i :0.0 -f alsa -i hw:0,0 -acodec flac -vcodec ffvhuff test.mkv (from wiki)
and some variations I found over the Internet:
ffmpeg -f x11grab -r 30 -i :0.0 -f alsa -i hw:0,0 -acodec flac -vcodec ffvhuff test.mkv
None of them worked.
I guess it's due to driver, because when I tried recordMyDesktop tool a few days ago with xf86-video-ati driver it recorded wideo. But when I switched to proprietary drider, both ffmpeg and recordMyDesktop are not working. I'm not going to change video driver because it's performance in video-games, so I'm wondering if there is any solution to my problem (except windowed-mode!).

Hi,
I had similar problems when trying to record OpenGL games with FFMpeg CLI. I use the catalyst-test drivers for my AMD HD 6870.
You could try downloading SimpleScreenRecorder via yaourt; get both, including the lib32-simplescreenrecorder.
There will be some conflicts, but choosing to replace some files hasn't caused any problems.
Make sure you have both lib32-libpulse and lib32-alsa-plugins installed (pacman).
Once everything is in set, open SSR (SimpleScreenRecorder); set audio input to:
- Record Microphone
- Backend: PulseAudio
- Source: Monitor of Built-in Audio Analog Stereo
I chose to output as MKV ; H.264 ; MP3 @128
Select Start Recording and fire up WoW. I was able to playback the game-play video (full screen 1920x1080) with audio.
You may need different settings from what I have, notably the audio, but it should record in full screen mode.

Satellite L850 running Win 8 - Cannot get BT working

just bought a new Satellite L850 running windows 8,
Can not get Bluetooth working.
I have downloaded Bluetooth driver and BT stack, driver seems to install ok but still no Bluetooth anywhere too be seen. The BT Stack for Toshiba tells me that it will not work with my operating system.
Can not find a download of BT stack for windows 8.
need help with this one

According notebook specification your notebook has BT but originally it was delivered with Win7 so I presume with Win7 there is no problem.
Ive also checked support for your notebook model and obviously it is not supported for Win8 and drivers are not listed for this machine.
Have you used Win8 drivers offered for other models?
Maybe stupid comment now but I recommend you to stay with Win7.

Brother Control Center installed but won't open

I have a Brother MFC 685-cw and it plays pretty well with the Image Capture application for scanning but I would like a few more options. I have been to the Brother website and downloaded and installed the CUPS Printer driver and the TWAIN Scanner driver for Mac OSX 10.6. They seem to have installed correctly. I have the Control Center application in my printer folder but when I click on it nothing happens. Help?

Where is Intel Control Center install / where do I find the program for Intel HD Graphics options?

I reinstalled the NVidia Quadro 2000M driver, which also reinstalled Intel HD graphics. I did this because I was having problems opening up Photoshop 5 - not sure if I needed to do that, because the problem remained afterwards, but then magically, it works every time now. So something fixed itself.
Anyway, after it reinstalled Intel HD Graphics, the Intel Control Center button, which opens Intel HD Graphics options does not work. I realize that the Intel Control Center is just a simple front-end with a couple of buttons, but how can I get it to work again?... I cannot find the install program. Also, as an alternative, where is the executable to get to the Intel HD Graphics - and what is its name?

From the Finder, hold down the option key and click on the "Go" menu bar. You'll see your user Library listed there.

Satellite L850-1HR and Win7- unable to Install Display Driver

Hello
I reinstalled my Toshiba Satellite L850 notebook with older Windows 7. I installed also all the drivers necessary. After I installed display driver in device manager under Display adapetrs I see message that adapter is not functioning properly because system is unable to load drivers.
On Win7 there is also SP1 installed. I cannot see why drivers are not loaded properly. Does anybody have any idea about what could be wrong ?

The Satellite L850-1HR is equipped with an ATI Radeon HD 7670M graphic chip
I assume the ATI driver is not installed properly.
On the Toshiba EU driver page especially in Satellite L850 PSKG8E download area I could not find the Win 7 AT driver.
But I checked drivers available for all L850 series and I found AMD display drivers.
You should do this too. Choose Satellite L850 series (in short model no choose All) in the driver download form and you will get all available drivers for Win 7 and Win 8
The AMD display drivers should be listed too.,.

Does Parallels Deskt 9 do changes to the bootcamp grafikcard driver (AMD Catalyst)

I´m running maverricks and bootcamp with win 7. on bootcamp. im using bootcamp 5 drivers except the grafikcard - latest AMD catalyst driver.
if i install parllel desktop 9 in order just for working with ms office, are there any changes wenn i boot from the bootcamp partition to play games? Will the AMD catalyst driver be changed or will it be the same way as before. i ask because paralles wants to install parallels tools (drivers).?
If there will be any change in my bootcamp installation i will not do it because bootcamp just works very fine.

Youre right the drivers are untouched and nothing changed under bootcamp, but catalyst control center had to be unstalled because it produces an error message under parallels. its a little bit anoying because the control center is usefull for settings under bootcamp.
is there a workaround to deaktivate control center wenn using parallels?

Satellite L755D-S2579 AMD Drivers Not Working on Fresh Windows 7 Install

Hi,
The HDD died in my L755D-S2579 yesterday. I was able to install Windows 7 on a new HDD but cannot get the AMD drivers to work correctly. I've downloaded the latest drivers from the support page and it seems to go through the install but the Display menu continues to use the Generic Standard VGA Graphics Adapter instead of the AMD drivers. When I try to open AMD Vision Engine Control Center it says that there are no settings that can be changed at this time. I've tried uninstalling the generic drivers and uninstalling and reinstalling the AMD drivers but nothing is working. What can I do to get this to work? I can't continue using this laptop if it's running at 1024x768.

Envy h8-1409 Desktop-Problem Installing Catalyst Control Center on Wiindows 7 for Radeon HD 7570

Hi,
I just purchased an HP Envy h8-1409 desktop. It came with Windows 8 but I downgraded to Windows 7 due to my unfamiliarity with the new Windows 8.
Officially, HP only provides Windows 8 drivers for this particular model I bought. However, I was able to find another HP desktop model (h8-1360t) that has almost the same hardware that has Windows 7 drivers. I downloaded all the Windows 7 drivers and was able to install properly for everything except for the Graphics Card (Radeon HD 7570). There was an error message during the start of the installation complaining that the driver was unable to find supported hardware on my machine. I ended up using "Windows Update" to get the driver for the Radeon HD 7570.
Having installed the Radeon HD 7570 driver only allows Windows to recognize my graphics card but I was unable to adjust any advanced settings. So I went to AMD's website to get the latest Catalyst Control Center package. During the installation, no error was found and everything seemed alright. However after the installation is complete, I was unable to see Catalyst Control Center anywhere on my computer (e.g. Start menu, right-click menu, etc). Also, when I checked the "ATI Technologies" folder, it was empty!
I also tried using AMD's auto detect agent but my graphics card was not even recognized.
I am running out of ideas on how I can get Catalyst Control Center installed. Please help!

Catalyst Control Center: Persistent Issues

Hello,
I am running an HP Pavilion dv7 with AMD graphics (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650). After installing Windows 8.1 I have been experiencing problems. Whenever I try to run the Catalyst Control Center application, I get an error message:
"Catalyst Pro Control Center cannot be started. There are currently no settings that can be configured using Catalyst Pro Control Center."
This issue seems well documented online, and I have spent the past few days going over every reported work around I could find, including uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and software directly from the manufacturer's website, without alleviating
the issue in the slightest. My best guess is that I have to hack a .inf file somewhere, but I have no idea how I am supposed to do this.
Please help.

As far as I know, this is ATI graphic card driver compatibility problem, because your Graphic card is too old, its driver for Widnows 8.1 had some compatibility problem. You can try to install the latest beta edition for test.
In addition you can contact ATI to identify this problem.

Launching a Preview Session Outside the ATG Business Control Center

I have setup a remote preview server on ATG 10.1.1. Everything works great when viewing it inside the BCC however I’m wondering how to access the preview server outside the BCC. According to the ATG documentation, it sounds like that’s possible. The ATG docs state:
“Users can preview project asset changes outside the framework of the Business Control Center. For example, you might want employees or outside reviewers who do not have access to the Business Control Center to evaluate changes to a Web application while it undergoes development. In this case, you can enable preview on servers that do not have the Business Control Center installed, then give reviewers URLs to the launch pages on these servers. They can invoke these URLs from any browser window.
Note: Users who are not logged into the Business Control Center can invoke preview sessions only with URLs to a server where the Business Control Center is not running. In order to avoid security breaches, URLs to preview sessions on the Business Control Center server are blocked.”
This is the only information I found in the documentation that talks about viewing preview outside the BCC. Based on this limited information, there are a lot of questions I have about how this actually works.
1. Any attempt to hit any page on my remote preview server outside the BCC, I see the following exception:
“ERROR [PreviewProfileRequestProcessor] An attempt was made to preview a project without logging in as a user with access to publishing assets. If you are running a local preview instance, the preview URLs registered with the PreviewURLManager may be misconfigured. Ensure that the preview URLs are configured with the same host and domain name used to access the BCC server. This preview request URL is: http://localhost:8280/sample_catalog/index.jsp. If you are running a remote preview instance, the Preview feature does not support remote preview on servers running the BCC. Ensure that the remote preview instance is not running any of the BCC related modules. If you received this error and did not try to perform a remote preview, then you may need to disable preview in the current web application by setting the atg.preview context parameter to false in the webapps web.xml file.”
I am not running the BCC on this instance so I’m not sure why I am seeing this. Is there something configuration I'm missing here?
2. I don’t understand where these urls would come from that a reviewer would use to preview the application. There is no "remote preview url" when previewing a page from within the BCC to copy and send to a reviewer so how would a BCC user send a url to a reviewer?
3. Assuming the reviewing knew which page to hit in the remote preview server, how would that page use the assets from a project? Should the project id of the project be include as a param to the url?

Shaik, if only it was that simple :( Do you have much experience working with remote preview or are you just guessing here like I have been? In order to help clarify my post though, here is the scenario that describes the basis for my questions:
A business user is working on a project within Merchandising of the BCC
1.     The user makes a change to a category
2.     The user clicks the Preview Button on the tool bar
3.     The system displays the Preview launcher screen
4.     The user selects a pre-configured profile user and page for the preview session
5.     The user clicks the Flexed based launch button
6.     The application displays within the context of the BCC browser/tab
7.     The business user would like to send that url to a reviewer who does not have access to login to the BCC
What happens from step 6 is that a giant iframe launches from within the context of the BCC browser/tab. If you are using remote preview, it is still an iframe and still displays within the context of the BCC browser/tab, the only difference is that the BCC is proxying information to the preview instance in order to initialize the preview session to display the application in the context of the business user’s project. The url the user sees in the browser is the url for the BCC, not the remote preview server. Because the UI for Merchandising and Preview is built using Flex, there is no way to click on the Preview button to open it up in another tab or browser. The only way your suggestion would work is if there is a way to configure the Flex UI to have it open up preview in a new browser/tab which I doubt is possible.
I hope this helps better explain my post. With that said though, this brings me back to my original questions.
