Satellite M100 sound not working after installing Windows 7

Everything else is working after this upgrade except the sound.  Have tried everything.  Any suggestions?
Many Thanks.
Rory

Hi,
For me the case is clear: Windows 7 is not the market as yet and its not released as yet. So I think this is the problem.
Anyway, have you tried to install the driver from the Toshiba website? There you can also find the Synaptics driver. Its for Vista but normally the drivers for Vista are also work in Windows 7. Its worth a try.

Have you tried the key combination FN+F9? So you can enable and disable the touchpad but I doubt that this works. Normally you need the Toshiba utility for this

  • Keyboard and Mousepad does not work after installing windows support software.

I was able to successfully install windows 8.1 64bit on an late 2012 iMac. I went through the installation just fine with the mousepad and keyboard. I went into the desktop and open up the files and went to computer to download the windows support software. After it was done installing the windows support software, my mouse and my keyboard stopped working completely. I couldn't even click "finish" on the download. I turned the computer off by pressing the power button, then turned it back on. I held the option key and the Macintosh HD and Windows showed up. I turned the mousepad and keyboard back on and it was working again. So I clicked on Windows and as I enter the startup screen, the mouse and keyboard  stopped working again.
Computer: iMac 21.5 in. late 2012
    Used Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit
The keyboard and mousepad that I have is  bluetooth.

    Hi,
Have you checked it from Sounds yet. Please
    Right click the speaker icon
    Select Recording devices
You should see a "tick", otherwise Right click it and enable it.

  • Webcam not working after installing Windows 7

Help please, I have been trying to fix this problem since I purchased this Touchsmart IQ524 and installed Windows 7. I have installed every update on the HP site per insturctions. The only time my webcam works is if I return to vista operating system, which is unexceptable. I should have waited to purchased after windows 7 came out. This is the worse HP computer I have ever owned and the worse customer service. When this orginially happened I was told I had to stay on Windows Vista and customer support did nothing for me. Its been over two years and I thought I would find a repair solution on the HP page, I have tried them all and still now webcam working. I am lost and very angry. I get a code 43 error when trying to load the webcam drivers. My computer keeps giving me a message that windows does not reconize the device installed on my computer. It states its is an unknown divice. I have tried to unstall it, but everytime I restart my computer it reinstalls it.  Please help me, I paid over a $1000.00 when this computer came out, HP gave away free windows 7 update when I purchased this computer and my Webcam has never worked since.
    Thank you.

Which version of Windows 7 is installed? (32 or 64-bit)
I see there is a BIOS update available only in Vista. You may wish to consider cloning your hard disk to an external storage device. Macrium Reflect Free is ideal  for this. Recover your OS to the Vista OS and apply the BIOS update. Use Macrium Reflect and the clone image file that you created to return your notebook to Windows 7. Once you have done that, try the webcam updates available at the HP web support portal for your TouchSmart notebook.
    Best regards,

  • Sound not working after installing beats audio

    Laptop: HP DV6-7001TU
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (the laptop came with HomeBasic, I had a copy of HomePremium used that).
I have ran into this problem lately that was not there before, I bought the computer almost 5 months ago, as soon as I bought it, I did a complete format and installed Windows 7 Home Premium on it (hate the bloatware that comes + it came with HomeBasic).
The audio worked fine uptill now, my brother got a  new DV6 laptop with beats the other day, and the sound felt better than what I had. So I figured it was the default sound drivers that I had. I went over here and got my self the sound drivers. Now eversince I update the drivers I have no sound from my speakers if I am not using sound for a long time, if I restart the sound comes back, but if I am not using anything sound related for a while and then try to use it agian it disappears.
The workaround I have found (to restarting computer everytime), is that if I click on the vloume icon in the taskbar, and then click the speaker icon which opens the "Speakers and Headphones Properties", and then just click OK on the window that opens, the sound comes back.
Things I have tried so far
Once I have no sound again, I tried the Windows "Find and fix audio playback problems", it found nothing.
I uninstalled/rolled back the IDT codec from device manager, the default drivers were loaded and sound was back, once I did a restart Windows found the IDT drivers and the problem was back.
I uninstalled/rolled back the IDT drivers, uninstalled the IDT software from the add & remove programs, downloaded a fresh copy from the link above and installed again, same problem.
Please help! This is driving me crazy, I get a lot of Skype calls during my work hours and I constantly have to hang up on my clients and than fix the sound and call them back agian, this is highly inconvient.

Uninstalled IDT software from programs, removed/rolledback the drivers, downloaded the HP Support Assistant and it recommended an IDT software, installed that via HP Support Assistant. Everything is working fine now.

  • Help please! Keyboard not working after installing windows XP sp3 on T61

I just changed to windows XP sp3 in last weekend on my T61. From then on, when I turn on the T61 every morning, the key board is not working, sometimes I could not type password. I need reboot several times to make it work. I installed the keyboard customizer utility from some online information, however, it's not helping. I searched the lenovo support website, but there are lots of drivers there,I don't know which to pick. Does anyone had met the similar issue or know how to solve it? Thanks a million!

I have exactly the same problem. It is not related to docking for me - just regular standby/resume. A reboot solves the problem. Not exactly what you'd expect from a high-end business model. This is the first time in my over 22 years history of using computers that the keyboard fails randomly. Fix this IMIDIATELY Lenovo!

  • Scanner not working after installing Windows 7

Just installed Windows 7 and lost the ability to use the scanner function in Adobe.  My scanner still works with my HP C6380 softwar
    e.  Was wondering if another driver was available for Windows 7.  Yes or no, send if possible
    I am usin Acrobat 9.0
I have already done the following.
    1)    a. Launch Acrobat
           b. Click menu File->Create PDF->From Scanner->Custom Scan...
           c. In Custom Scan dialog, select the driver installed.
           d. Click Options button in Input section.
           e. Set Data Transfer Method as Native Mode.
           f. Initiate Scan process. Or, remove any compression settings in scanner's user's interface while scanning (Set compression to None).
    2) Login with new user Account
    3) Deleted Preferences folder.
    4) Download the update for 9.1.
    5) Repair Acrobat installation.
    6) Scan the image into another application as a TIFFfile, and then convert the TIFF file to a PDF file.

Does your scanner work without using Acrobat? If not, you should go to HP's web site and see if there is a Windows 7 driver for your scanner you can download and install.
You should also update Acrobat to 9.3.

  • DVD ROM NOT WORKING AFTER INSTALLING WINDOWS 7

i am using hp dv1050ei with windows 7 ultimate 32bit. before i was having vista. since i have installed 7 on my notebook most of the times my dvd rom doesnt read the dvd. i can hear the sound from drive and light blinks but nothing happnes and it doesnt read the dvd.
what to do please i am facing great trouble because of this issue.

I HAVE FOUND A FIX! Searching through the support blogs paid off in a big way. A minor registry edit is all it took and my drive is working like new! Here's the fix. My system is Windows 10 64-bit.  Resolution 5: Create a registry subkey
Note To use this method, you must be logged on to Windows as an administrator. If you need help verifying that you are an administrator, go tohttp://support.microsoft.com/gp/admin
Important Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.
To create the registry subkey, follow these steps:
Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run box. (or right-click on windows icon in lower left corner)
Type regedit in the Run box, then press Enter. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
In the navigation pane, locate the following registry subkey:
        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi
Right-click atapi, point to New, then click Key.
Type Controller0, and then press Enter.
Right-click Controller0, point to New, and then click DWORD(32-bit) Value .
Type EnumDevice1, and then press Enter.
        Right-click EnumDevice1, click Modify....
Type 1 in the Value data box, and then click OK.
        Exit Registry Editor.

  • RDP not working after installing Windows 2008 R2 Service Pack 1

    Hi,
We have Windows 2008 R2 Data center editions with Service Pack 1 which we recently implemented. Now when i create new virtual machine in Hyper-V with Windows 2008 R2 Standard edition without Service Pack then i can able to take RDP of virtual server. But
when i install Service Pack 1 on Windows 2008 R2 Standard edition (Virtual Machine) then i can't able to take RDP.
By using local administrator i can take remote desktop but using domain administrator i can't take remote desktop. Domain Administrator is part of Remote Desktop Users group. I tried to reinstall and uninstall KB2667402.
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Arjun
    Arjun V.

    Hi Arjun,
It might happens that it occurs due to some antivirus software. You can try to disable or uninstall the 3rd Party security software in the Windows Server to see whether same issue still exists.
In addition for your issue, another suggestion to try uninstalling the 2 windows updates and then again re-install the update manually with below link provided and restart the server. After restarting check whether the issue still occurs. You need to uninstall
    & re-install manually below 2 updates:
    1.  KB2667402 – Download Link
    2.  KB2621440 – Download Link
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • MBA sound not working after installing Mavericks

I updated my MacBook Air to the OSX Mavericks, and now the sound doesn't work. It'll work right after I restart my computer, but if I put the laptop to sleep and turn it on later, the sound won't work at all, whether I'm trying to use the built-in internal speakers, headphones, or external speakers. This only started happening a couple of days ago, and all of the solutions I've looked for online haven't helped. Is this a problem with the new operating system update? Is there any way I can fix it?

Sounds like a reinstall of Mavericks to me
It's either that or wait until Apple sends out a fix, if ever.
Do you know how to reinstall OS X?
Remember to backup your stuff before doing anything.
