Satellite M50-156: How can I change resolution for my external monitor?

Hi,
I bought an exernal monitor for my laptop M50-156 which has a resolution of 1920x1080.
But the problem is that such a resolution is not available in the display settings of my computer!
I tried to update the graphic card and chipset, but the max resolution I have is 1280x1024!
So my external monitor cannot display properly :( Did anybody have the same problem?

The resolution is not available and this says everything!!! Its not possible to choose this and you will have to use another resolution!
There are two reasons why your favorite external resolution is not available:
1) the graphic card chip does not support this
2) or the graphic card driver does not contain this resolution.
In your user manual you can find all supported and available external resolution
But I assume the 1920x1080 is not supported

Adobe's CS allows me to change the resolution of an image from 72 ppi to 144 ppi (Image | Image Size). Does iPhoto have a similar capability? Terence Delvin has previously posted how to resize an image to a specified dimension (iPhoto 8 | Installing | Resize), but I also need to change the resolution. iPhoto is so wonderful it's a shame to have to export a file and open it in CS if this is all I wish to do. OK I see. I am still confused as to their requirement of 144 ppi as the 1024 on the longest size will resize down for you.
I don't think iPhoto can change the ppi but you can resize down. Pick the photo, go to File -> Export... and then under size pick custom. On the pull down if you pick "dimension" then type in 1024 in the box under that, it will automatically output a new version of your photo with 1024 as the max size and you get a nice smaller file.
However, the PPI setting remains the same since this is a print setting and when displayed on a monitor or digital projector, it will display at exactly 1024 by whatever the other side is, assuming the program displaying it displays at 100%.
Let me poke around a bit more and see if I can come up with something.
Perhaps a simple exif editor (rather than having to open it in Elements or CS) that you can quickly change the PPI setting of the exported image. I'll have to look and see what is available.

Looks like you use a wrong keyboard layout. I thin the language settings are wrong!!!
Maybe you have an US keyboard layout and the settings are set to UK?
Please check this in the control panel -> regional and language options -> languages -> details.
There you can add a second language or you can change the first one to another keyboard layout.

I have changed my apple id, changed it in iCloud but when I go to update on my iPhone5 it is still asking for my old id's password, how can I change it for good?

I had an apple id but recently got a new one (change of email, loss of debit card) I changed my information in iCloud (deleted the old account) but when I try to update my apps and new software to iOS 7 it is still asking me to give the password to the old account. I can't figure out how to change it.

What model MacBook Pro and what video format? Are you talking about the internal display or an external display? 1600 x 1200 is the old style 4:3 NTSC video format and 1920 x 1200 is today's widescreen 16:10 format. They're two different animals. The native resolution and what your notebook or external display can handle or adapt to are not necessarily the same thing.

I have a number of links on my Bookmarks Toolbar for quick access. Each of them used to have an icon associated with it, but now one icon is missing. The link still works OK, so it's just a matter of not being able to spot it quickly with the icon.

I'm pretty new to the Solaris 10 world and I'm attempting to troubleshoot some Xerox print issues. One of our Oracle Users may send a print job through with an HP Initialization String...yes you read that right, and cause the Printing services to Yo-Yo.
I've installed the Xerox Printer Administration Tool 4.30.28 and then installed the most current driver package. Thing is, either the services will still bounce or the job will not print. Understandable because of the HP Initialization String.
However, I tried using the Solaris Print Manager w/ a generic Xerox driver and the Print Services did not bounce. I thought then that I would try using the actual Xerox Workcentre 7655 driver by converting the driver from Xerox and using the PPDMgr tool. Thing is, I could figure out how to really change the path so that the driver would get dropped in the /usr/lib/lp/model/ppd/system/foomatic directory.
Any way to do this?

I am using the "UserDefinedErrorsDir" in LabVIEW 7.1 /7.1.1 Windows and Linux.
But there is a "syntax" problem. Let me explain this:
If you enter
UserDefinedErrorsDir=C:\
into your LabVIEW.ini File, LabVIEW will not search the Files in your C:\ Directory...
LabVIEW search the *-errors.txt Files in the
C:\errors\
Directory!
That mean that you have to create a folder with the name errors in your UserDefinedErrorsDir and after that you only have to copy all your *-errors.txt Files into this folder.

Changing resolution for vizio external display

I just got a Vizio 37" lcd. It is hooked up to my g4 12" powerbook and looking pretty great except that it seems a bit stretched out from left to right. The users manual says I need to "set my pc computer timing mode to VESA 1366X768 at 60 Hz." I'm assuming they're talking about resolution so I've set my powerbook for 1024x768. It doesn't appear that I can go as high as 1366x768.
Is this the case? Is this what is causing the slight "stretched out" appearance?

Satellite L300-19J - How can I change the warranty registration details?

I live in Romania and I bought my Toshiba L300-19J from Romania on the 9th of February.
I have registered my Standard Warranty upon installing Windows. When trying to also register the International Warranty Extension, I noticed that there are some problems with my registration.
1. I have received a registration ticket via e-mail. If I click the link in that e-mail for registering the warranty extension, I am redirected to the UK Toshiba site, instead of Romanian one. The real problem is not the language, but the fact that the notebook model that I have is produced exclusively for Romania, so it is not available for selection in the drop-down menu available on the UK site.
2. If i visit www.toshiba-tro.de/unitdetails and enter the serial number of my laptop, it shows that it is registered, but the purchase date is shown as 2008-10-29 (which is one day after the production date). I have no idea why it shows like this and what this means, nor do I know if there is a way to change that information.
3. If I try to use the Romanian Toshiba website for warranty registration, it says that my serial number is already registered.
Now the question: is there any way for me to see / edit the registration details? The confirmation e-mail I got contains very few information about the registration.

Satellite P300-156 - How can I clean it?

I won't clean my laptop inside, but I don't now what screws I must remowe.
If someone take the back cover from any P300 to cleaning the fans, maybe will send me any picture or instruction, what I must doing step by step.

If you want to clean the fan you must disassemble the notebook. This is not necessary.
You can use compressed air spray. This could blow out the dust from the cooling ventilators.
Such compressed air spray you can get from a local computer dealer.
