Satellite M50 - WLAN card disappeared

Hey.
Prolly newb question, but I just cant figure this out. I can't find my WLAN card, my XP just does not recognize it. I reckon I need some sort of driver for it, but I have already tried installing several, including the one on this page. Problem probably is, I don't know what wlan-card model my satellite has.
I've tried google, but the jungle led me here :)

You can check the serial or model number at the bottom of the unit.
Furthermore there should be also an WLan label which would provide an an info about you installed Wlan card.
If there is no label with Wlan details and if you cannot find the WLan card in the device manger then this would mean that your notebook has not been equipped with the Wlan card.

This is my first post on this forum, and it's not for a good reason.
I have installed a brand new copy of Windows 7 32 bit, and after installing it, i have gone to Toshiba website and download the drivers for this version of SO. Everything looks great, except that the wireless LAN card drive don't works now. On the device manager nothing appears available. I don't have any error on Windows System Information.
What is the problem? The wireless switch is on!! FN + F8 don't work. Help me!!

Download and install the driver for your model, while installing the driver enable the Wlan switch (if available) or pressing FN+F8

Satellite L735 - WLAN card is not recognized after own OS installation

Dear sir,
I have the laptop satellite L735-M14X Part No: PSK0CE-04X01RAR ,SERIAL NO: YB321818W
My laptop was windows home premium 64 bit arabic and very slow and I wanted ultimate english so I made a format and installed win 7 ultimate 64bit , and after I installed all the drivers shown in the enclosed picture 4
but the wifi still not working for a wireless internet connection!! (I updated the bios from 1.8 to 2.2 and installed the Value added package and enabled the wireless but nothing enabled )
so I saw that there are 2 missed drivers as in the enclosed picture 1 & picture 3 and I didnt find the required sofware for them.
also when I was installing the driver "widipl-20110323155916" , a problem occurred so please check the picture2
Please find a good solution without recovery!

Satellite C850-108 - WLan card driver for Win 7

I have a Toshiba Satellite C850-108 and recently it just completely crashed.
Being stupid i never got chance to create a recovery disc etc for it.
I have a friend that sent me a disc to help reinstall windows 7.
However when i did this i lost all drivers and had to completely reinstall them as Iv been finding out which ones i need.
One big problem i have had is that when i install the driver for network controller it just refuses to install saying there is no network driver detected.
I have tried going to devices and yellow exclamation etc but still doesnt find anything.
I have download numerous drivers from Toshiba to try correct this but still have the same problem. I can only connect to the internet via an Ethernet.
It is as if I do not even have a Wirless card.
Im very puzzled and frustrated with this if anyone can help i would very much appreciate this.
P.s i installed using 32bit but when i check my serial number it states that it is 64 bit. Could this be part if the cause?.

As Im not mistaken the Satellite C850-108 supports the Realtek RTL8188CE WLan card.
So you need to install the Realtek WLan driver for the RTL8188CE chip.
You should be able to download the driver directly from Realtek page:

Satellite C55T: Win 7 does not recognize LAN and WLan card

I have a problem.
Ive downgraded my Toshiba Satellite C55T-A5222 to Windows 7 64-bit and he didn't install many drivers.
The windows didn't recognize my network connection and he didn't install my wireless driver.
Maybe I need a chipset driver but I didn't find any drivers for windows 7.
Please help me!

If Windows 7 did not recognize the LAN and WLan card, you did not install proper drivers.
Satellite C55T-A5222 is US notebook model.

Here choose Drivers /& Updates and the filter by Windows 7 64bit (on the left)
Now you should get all Win 7 64bit drivers for the Satellite C55T-A5222

How to access WLAN card on Satellite Pro 6100?

I'm cleaning up a Satellite Pro 6100 for a customer and noticed that it has a built in wireless card (something they didn't know). However, I just can't work out how to access it. I've pushed the little switch on the side backwardsa and forwards, I've toggled Fn-F8 and everything else i can think of. But nothing happens.
I even discovered the Network Device Switch utility but that's only showing the LAN card.
Any ideas?

First of all please check in the device manager if the notebook has built-in WLan card. The available WLan switch at the notebook site says nothing. The notebooks are delivered with different specifications and the WLan card is optional.
I think the WLan card is not installed in your notebook and therefore you cannot use it.

Cannot activate the WLan card on Satellite A30

I have a satellite A30.
In the manual I got with the laptop it said some models have a built in wireless link. My computer has an on/off switch for wireless but i haven't been able to activate it.
How can i tell if this models wireless connection will work.
I have downloaded drivers from this website for wireless . After unzipping the file I found that there were no installation instructions or an executable file.
What do i do with the unzipped files.
Just a note i do have a belkin wireless router and have my A30 laptop wireless at the moment but i need a big clumsy network adaptor plugged into a USB port

First of all you must be sure if your unit is delivered with WLAN card. You can check this on two ways. First one is to check bottom side of your notebook. Every unit delivered with WLAN card has WLAN sticker. Other way you can check entrie in device manager under Network adapters. If the unit has WLAN card it will be listed there.
As far as I know WLAN card for Satellite A30 is optional and if the unit has no card on board you can buy compatible one or use external cards like USB WLAN stick or PCMCIA WLAN cards.

You should try installing the latest version of WLAN driver. Normally the WLAN card should be recognized again with new driver. Check the Toshiba page for an upate!
Furthermore make sure that WLAN card is enabled. If your notebook has a WLAN hardware switch, you have to set it to on.

According notebook specification your notebook has Realtek 802.11 (b/g/n) 13ch-RTL8188CE card inside.

The Wlan card is optional in this notebooks series.
This means that some A10 could be equipped with the WLan card and some units are not delivered with the internal minPCI WLan card
You can check this very easily.
Access the device manger and extend the network adapters.
If a WLan card was installed then you should see it!

Satellite L300D - Determine the WLAN card

I need help determine what wireless card to get for this L300D 11V PSLC0E-00900DEN laptop.
I have looked on this web site for laptop but do not exist. Model name is different to the one on this site. I assumed this laptop came with wireless built in because it had the sticker on it. Bought just before Christmas for my little brother from pc world.
I cant make out whoever its card bus or express card slot or pc card slot.

This Satellite L300D laptop has a Realtek RTL8187B WLAN card.
The laptop is listed on the Toshiba driver download page and the Realtek driver too. I found exact your model.

What A100 do you have exactly?
Did you know that could find the WLan card in device manager? ;)
Go to device manager and expand the Network adapters.
If the WLan card is available then you will see it either as Ethernet controller (if no driver has been installed) or as a WLan card (the whole name should appear)
You can also install an hardware diagnostic tool

Satellite P10-304: WLan card replacement - Do I need the same Wlan chip?

got a satellite P10-304 from a mate here.
He said the wireless has never worked on it and hes had it years and someone else has already looked at it and changed the wireless card TNA.
Basically it just acts as if the wireless switch isn't working and it stays permanently off although the drivers install fine and the card shows as ok. Just disconnected.
Now I thought, ok, i'll take a look as I'm pretty good on the old hardware. Took it apart and what do you know, the switch was bent and not in place. I put the switch back into place, checked in the on and off positions with a multimeter to check the switch was working and it was doing its job perfectly.
Now it still does not work.
I am guessing this is now due to the fact that as I said, the card has been changed from its original to an intel pro jobby.
My question is, am I right, do I just need to get the same card that was originally in it. I assumed that when the switch was put back correct I would have it solved.

The WLan card should be enabled bu switching the switch to ON position (the LED should light up) and additionally you should chose the WLan antenna using the key combination FN + F8.
Please check this!
Note; go to device manager -> Wlan card properties -> Advanced tab
There you can check if WLan is enabled as well.

Toshiba satellite 2450-s203 does not recognise atheros wlan card

Hi!
I have a toshiba satellite 2450-s203 and there is an embedded atheros wlan card -somewhere in the laptop-.
However, I am running win xp pro and the device manager DOES NOT FIND THE CARD!
It finds the ethernet card and a 1394 net adapter!
But not the WLAN card!!
Any ideas?! I have downloaded the wireless card's drivers from the site but with no luck!
What should I do?!

Hi,
The W-lan card is optional to this model eg. it's not included in all machines. You need to purchase the correct module to get W-lan to work.
If the card would be installed in the machine, You should see either a yellow esclamation mark (!) or "unknown device" if You have uninstalled hw.

I would like to know if in a Satellite L100 is posiible to change the 4965AGN wifi card for one 3945ABG or there may be problems or incompatibilities with the motherboard chipset which is an i945 GM GM.

Your postings dont offer much info and I dont understand what the problem is exactly.
Is card installed and listed in device manager properly?
Can you enable or disable WLAN card using FN+F8 key combination?
Is WLAN LED on when you enable WLAN card?
Can you scan area and see available WLAN networks?
What happen if you try to connect to your WLAN network?
Have you tested WLAN with different routers?
Please dont discuss using one or two sentences. Explain exactly what happen and what have you tried to do already.
