Satellite M55 -The CD-rom got un-installed suddenly

Hi all,
I've got a Toshiba notebook - Satellite M55 5325 and been using it for couple of years and found it working quite good so far.
Just few days ago, there was some problem with the CD-rom with the symptoms as follows:
- I don't see the DVD/CD drive when opening My Computer
- When I opened the Computer Management/ Device Manager I found a question mark under DVD/CD rom drives
- After trying to uninstall the current drive for DVD/CD rom and let the computer re-install it automatically, I found a message reading: +Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)+
I did try to search around for the drive online but found no results...
Have some of you ever experienced this problem before and could you just help me out with it please?

sorry for this late reply 'cause it was our New year holidays now so I haven't been around lately.

My CD-rom is now working again and needless to say how happy I'm now!!!

Sorry but you will not get drivers for this Intel chipset and Vista.
I searched on the Toshiba and Intel website and there are no drivers for Vista available. So must use Windows XP, there is no support or drivers for this chipset and Vista.

Satellite PRO L20: Tools & Utilities CD-ROM refuses to install sound driver

The Tools & Utilities CD-ROM refuses to install Sound driver on my system (Satellite PRO L20). Any idea how to tackle that problem?

Did you try to download and to install the sound driver from the Toshiba driver page???
There you should find the newest version.
But may I ask how did you try to install this sound driver?? Did you get any error messages???

Tried to open a file I created in Numbers a while ago which I modified on 11/4/13 and got a message that I needed a newer version of Numbers. When I went to the Mac App Store it shows that the new version is already installed. Any suggestions?

Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there.

Where is the phone number on the iPod?
If you have an iPhone with iOS and use the same ID for Messages and FaceTime as on the iPod the iPhone's phone number will be listed for Messages and FaceTime on the iPod.
If you changed phone numbers on the iPhone, sign out of Messages and FaceTime and then sing back in. Then do the same a little while later on the iPod.

I think PE 2 only worked as far OS 10.3 Panther. There is no alternative but to get the version that works on your 10.7 Lion Machine, which I think is PE 6 or higher.
