Satellite P105 - Can't install nVidia display driver

I tried completing the download multiple times for the nVidia Display Driver 9.7.5.4.
The first times the setup would not complete citing "that this computer does not have the correct hardware.." , then the Windows message came up and said that "if this setup did not complete successfully click here blabla" and I did that.
Now when I run the setup it still stops in the same spot. But now it says that *"the setup can not be completed because this driver only runs on Windows Vista, and this is not Windows Vista." But the thing is I do have Windows Vista!*

Hi
> Current Display Driver: Mobile Intel(R) 945 GM Express ChipSet Family
And then you want to install an nVidia display driver?
LOL :D
I think you can not install an nVidia display driver because your notebook is equipped with a Intel chipset and graphic card.
You will never be able install nVidia display driver and so did get the message that you don’t have the correct hardware.
Intel graphic cards and nVidia graphic cards are different things so do not mix it!
Some P105 was equipped with nVidia cards and otheres with Intel card and it seems that you have an Intel card.

hello i've learned that lenovo b560 computers got 2 graphic cards one is intel hd graphics other is nvidia 310m but i can't install the nvidia driver it always gives the no compatible drivers found error :/

    hi Frost1,
    Welcome to the Forums.
The B560 with Intel+Nvidia graphics uses the Nvidia Optimus Technology to switch between the Intel GPU (for power saving) and the Nvidia GPU (for applications that requires more processing power).
If you have Windows 7, try the following:
    1. Restart the machine and hit F8. On the menu, select "Disable driver signature enforcement".
       - Sample image
    2. Install these drivers then reboot:
1st:   Intel Onboard Graphics Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit)
2nd:  NVIDIA Display Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit)
If you still get the error, can you PM me your serial number or indicate your machine type (e.g., 0679-3JU) to check the PC specs.

  • Satellite A660-07U - Can't install new display driver

When I first got my laptop it wouldn't even boot out the box! So I googled the way to get it up and running and it wouldn't install Windows 7 32bit, so I installed Windows 7 64bit and that worked.
I am one of the users who is also having their laptop freeze on them constantly. I have done the Bios update and it is still doing it. So I decided to try updating the graphics drivers with the new ones from this website, but it seems they wont install. I got the Windows 7 64bit drivers first as I have Windows 7 64bit installed in my laptop. But it says it cant find the required hardware, I figured its because my laptop is not a 3D version, should that even matter?
So I then tried the 32bit drivers and it says im using wrong system os for those drivers.
So how about some drivers I can use?

    Hello
    > it didn't work out the box
Why it didnt work? What problems you had exactly?
    > The X64 drivers for download will NOT work on my A660, says something about not the right hardware (which is where I got the 3D idea from)
Well, in my opinion it has nothing to do with 3D support. If you can find new driver updates for Satellite A660 they should work because they are tested by Toshiba.
As far as I know there is no A660 model with 3D support, thats only available on A665.
Fact is that 32bit drivers never work on 64bit operating systems. So just forget this point.
Satellite A660/07U seems to be an Australian model and belongs to PSAW3A series. On the Australian page there is only one display driver available for Windows 7 64bit
What you can try is the display driver from European page where you can find a similar model PSAW3E:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
On this page I could found two driver version: 260.51 and 189.58. As far as I know latter one works properly without freeze.
    > You could have just said you don't know the answer or are you always this condescending?
You want some help or not? ;)
I mean I also didnt know that you are still use the Windows 7 installation from Toshiba, you only wrote about new Windows 7 installation.
    Anyway, it was simple misunderstanding.

Before you can install the display driver you must install:
    1 Windows XP
    2 Windows Updates
3 Sun Java 2 Runtime Environment
    4 Intel ICH8M Chipset Utility

If you did do this and cant install the driver, install it manually. Go to the device manager => right click on the graphic card => update driver

  • Satellite A665-S6065 Cannot install latest display driver

There is a newer driver on the Toshiba Dowload page (v197.91 5-28-2010).
I can download it, unzip it, but when I try to install it I get the following error:
"the nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware"
    ..and the installation closes.
    Help?

    Satellite A665-S6065
You are referring to this driver?
       nVidia Display Driver
Try booting into Safe Mode for the installation. That way the replaced driver is not in memory.

  • Satellite L650-1M0 - CAN'T install new display driver

    Hello!
I have Toshiba Satellite L650-1M0 and i CAN'T install new drivers to my graphic card: Mobility Radeon HD 5650 from the AMD site. Why i cannot do it? I want to install the latest display drivers because i have problems with display mode. My laptop is set on 16:9 but some programs display in 4:3.
Please give the latest drivers on the Toshiba site or tell me what should i do to download drivers from AMD site. I have Windows 7 64x ;).

    >Why i cannot do it?
Im really wondering you are asking something like this. It is well known that support for mobile units (notebooks) is offered by notebook manufacturer and not by hardware manufacturer.
Due to specific notebook design and limited cooling performance graphic card cannot be upgraded as on graphic cards designed for desktops. New driver means more performance. More performance means more heat and result can be graphic card damage or switch-offs because of critical hardware temperature.

  • Satellite M60: can not install the newest driver for my graphic card

Can not install newest driver for my graphic card
    Satellite M60
    ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700

    Hello
First of all I really dont understand why you start two topics with the same theme. It is much better to have one topic with good content and interesting comments. Am I right? ;)
Anyway, in your case it is interesting that Toshiba use adapted drivers because of hardware protection. That means that graphic card will not be forced to run at the maximum level. Hardware cooling in notebooks is very problematic and high temperature can result with overheating or hardware damage. All hardware components are placed on small place. Graphic card produce a lot of warmness and it is not so good for all other hardware.
When you use non-Toshiba driver graphic card will be forced to run faster. Because of that every notebook manufacturers dont support usage of third part drivers. The fact is that hardware protection is priority.
I didnt make any experiments but according to some reports on this forum there is way how to install non-Toshiba graphic card driver.
Please check this forum and you will find many comments about that. One interesting topic is http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=18063&messageID=66186

  • Can not install NVIDIA Display Drivers

    I have a T61 (7664-17U) with XP SP2.
For sometime now I've had problems with the NVIDIA display drivers.  Occasionally my NVIDIA drivers disappear and are replaced by VGA .  I notice this when I can't Standby or Hibernate my system, those options are grayed out.  Also, interacting with the display is difficult..
I've tried several times to update my 12/2007 drivers to the latest ones from the Lenovo site.  The latest drivers appear to be installing (InstallShield?) but I get a message after a few minutes that "The system has not been modified. To install the program at a later time, run the installation again."  No other information.
I found out early that if I install the old drivers everything was OK, until yesterday.  Yesterday when I tried to install the old drivers I got
    " Error Code: -5004 : 0x80070005 rror InformationSetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (1968 PAPP:NVIDIA Display Drivers PVENDOR:NVIDIA Corporation (http://www.nvidia.com/) PGUID:EFB7D050-CAD2-11D4-B34D-00105A1C23DD $9.1.0.429
    @Windows XP Service Pack 2 (2600) IE 6.0.2900.2180."
I tried several iterations of installing the drivers including downloading the latest ThinkVantage installer.
How can I solve this problem?  Should I try downloading the latest drivers directly from NVIDIA website?
I'm very appreciate of any help!  Thanks, Tilly

"Should I try downloading the latest drivers directly from NVIDIA website?"
You can't install drivers obtained from the NVidia website. You'll get a "No compatible hardware found" message.
You're supposed to only install video drivers obtained from Lenovo.
If your T61 is still under warranty, a request for service is in order.

  • Satellite A300 - Can't install display driver

So I formatted my laptop (A300 PSAGCA-0C301N) two nights ago, and being the idiot I am I forgot to download and backup the necessary drivers for my laptop.
So when I first started the laptop on a fresh installation of Windows Vista 32-bit on a freshly formatted HDD, my resolution was 1024x768. However, the full standard resolution for this laptop is actually 1280x768 along those lines, however when I went to "Personalize" the max resolution I was allowed to have was 1024x768.
So I went to this site http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/...download?os=15 and downloaded the Wireless Lan/Wired Lan drivers, the Intel Chipset drivers, the Audio Driver and ATI M82XT,M86 Display Driver.
However, once I downloaded and began to install the ATi driver, I got three error messages right after extraction; the first box saying:"Catalyst Install Manager failed to initialize Detection Manager"
Right after the first box, I get another error box saying "Catalyst Install Manager failed to initialize"
and then a third box saying "Catalyst Install Manager failed to initialize Package Manager".
    After the third box, it proceeds to installation, however after accepting the User's Agreement I get these error boxes;
"Catalyst Install Manager failed to initialize"
"Failed to find any installable components!"
and then the install screen proceeds to say "Failures occured during installation".
I am running Windows Vista 32 bit and using the Super Administrator account, so UAC is non existent.
Help please? I'm sick of being stuck at 1024x768.
BTW my GPU is an ATi HD3450.

    Hi Kabura,
What happens if you install the display driver manual via device manager and advanced installation option where you can choose the driver and directory yourself?
    Does it work?
I had a similar problem and this worked for me
By the way: You should also install latest Service Pack for Vista. Check the Microsoft page for an update.
Last but not least you dont post an installation order. In which order you installed the drivers? Generally speaking the chipset driver should be installed firstly, then the display driver.

  • Satellite 2450-201: nVidia display driver

i have just downloaded the latest nvidia display driver for satellite 2450-201 from toshiba and now the display has gone worse the driver is 3.6.4.8. for nvidia gforce 420 go what shall i do i have tried rolling back it wont let me! and i dont have a sytem restore point either is there some settings in nvidia help!

    Hi
Usually the original Toshiba driver should works properly and without any errors.
In you case I would recommend starting the OS in the safe mode and then to enter the device manager.
There you can select the Display adapters area and there you can uninstall the graphic driver.
Then download the right driver from the Toshiba page and install it again!!!

  • NVIDIA display driver on Satellite 2450-201

i have downloaded and installed the latest nvidia display driver for my laptop which has nvidia gforce 420 go and the driver i installed was the v 36.48 when i boot up the displays are bad and we=hen i log on it says nview load error no nvidia hardware detected on the primary monitor if you are running on nvidia card please make sure it is configured to be primary. what shall i do when i access the nevidia desktop manger in control pannel and check the box the message comes up again then i restart and the graphics are fine but after about 5 boot ups it goes back to the rubish graphocs and message appears again.
    what shall i do!

    Hi
Did you install the driver from the Toshiba page??
If not so visit the Toshiba driver page and download the right driver.
Its not recommended to use NOT Toshiba graphic card drivers.
Then I would recommend checking the display properties if the notebook screen was set as the primary monitor. Mark the display with the number 1 and check it the option Use this device as the primary monitor was enabled.
Furthermore check in the Advanced option in the nView tab if the nView mode was set to standard and that the option Make this the primary display was enabled for the notebook screen.

  • Satellite P750: Unable to install Bluetooth Stack driver on Windows 7 (x64)

    Hello.
    I own a *Satellite P750-02T* (Part no. *PSAY3A-02T001*).
In the order what I did:
    1) I formatted its HDD and reinstalled OS to *Windows 7 x64 Ultimate SP1*.
Then I downloaded *ONLY BIOS and the drivers* from [its Downloads page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] :
    2) I updated its BIOS to *v1.90* (the laptop came with v1.80)
    3) I installed all the drivers:
    - both LAN and WiFi
    - Intel Chipset (latest available)
    - all video drivers (Intel HD Graphics, NVIDIA Graphics, and Intel HDMI)
    - Card Reader
    - Realtek HD Audio (latest)
    - Synaptics Touchpad
    - USB3.0
    - IR
    - TV-Tuner
However, I'm *unable to install the Bluetooth driver (v8.00.06(T)* )...
When I run setup from the [above-mentioned page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] it partially detects *'Bluetooth USB Controller-10 from TOSHIBA'* (USB\VID_0930&PID_0215&REV_001)
and then installation simply freezes displaying +'Installing the Bluetooth Driver. Please wait+.' and stays like that forever...
I also tried downloading a driver from [another location|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download-toshiba] for TOSHIBA notebooks - v8.00.02(T):
and followed installation instructions displayed under 'Details'
but there was the same outcome - the setup simply freezes...
Installing Hotfix (*KB978258*) recommended there didn't work either - the message '+The update is not applicable to your computer+' pops up.
And I understand why - this Hotfix is [already included|http://download.microsoft.com/download/E/B/A/EBA55FE2-373A-4351-9346-6D762B79AA69/Updates%20in%20Win7%20and%20WS08R2%20SP1.xls] into Service Pack 1 for MS Windows 7.
I spent hours searching on the Internet for a solution. Although there were some similar cases none of the recommendations actually worked. I tried installing:
    - WiFi driver before installing Bluetooth (someone suggested that those two are the parts of the same card);
    - resuming installation in Safe Mode;
    - *Toshiba Value Added Package* hoping those tools somehow will kick in.
    Nothing worked...
It's interesting that when for the sake of experiment I tried to run installation for my generic Bluetooth adapter (using the driver [for non-TOSHIBA notebooks|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download]) then everything run smoothly!
*Using Bluetooth connection on this laptop is very crucial for me.*
I hope I shall not have to return this wonderful notebook as I know TOSHIBA is one of the best manufactures and am sure there is a solution to this problem.
    Thank you very much.
    Evgeny.

For FN functionality you must install Toshba Value added package. Toshiba flash cards utility is part of this package.
I dont know if P750 has WLAN switch but before you start BT installation be sure WLAN LED is ON.

  • Tecra R10-10W - Crashes with nVidia display driver

    Dear Sirs,
I bought my new Tecra R10-10W two days ago. I used the Recovery Disc to set Windows XP.
However, I receive blue screens randomly. I turned on "Verifier" tool and I received: IO System Error in wmiaci.sys. Error 20e at B9B8752F. I suspected the nVidia driver and unistalled it. The problem dissappeared. But when I try to install from your site the appropriate driver: display-20081110130507.zip the system crashes blue with the same error.
    Please help me.

    Hi
    Thats really strange, buddy
Hmm, I think before you install the display driver you should clean your system using CCleaner. This freeware tool removes old driver files and cleans the registry. Then restart the notebook install the newest driver from the official Toshiba website.
By the way, did you also update the BIOS? You can find it on the Toshiba website too. :)

  • With hardware acceleration enabled, and with plenty of tabs open, using the Windows 7 taskbar preview option will almost always crashed the nVidia display driver.

    Latest Firefox 4 beta 6.
    nVidia GT240 1GB DDR3 with driver version 258.96.
    Windows 7 Ultimate.
If I have plenty of tabs opened, in Firefox 4 beta 6 with hardware acceleration enabled, using the Windows 7 Taskbar preview feature (that will show all the tabs Firefox has loaded) will cause the Nvidia display driver to crash. When this happen, the GUI part of Firefox will be unusable and has to be killed via Task Manager.
This doesn't happen if hardware acceleration is disabled.

It is beta software and the older 4.0 b6 version may not work with all display drivers.
You can trey the test extension: http://jagriffin.wordpress.com/2010/08/30/introducting-grafx-bot/
