Satellite P200-1FT: 1680x1050 @ 60Hz not available on external 22" TFT

Hi,
I bought a Toshiba Satellite P200-1FT some months ago (Graphic card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600). I wanted to use a 22" Hanns G HG216DP with its native resolution of *1680x1050px @ 60Hz* as a primary external monitor.
I connected my notebook to the TFT over HDMI. Unfortunately I cannot select this display setting in the Catalyst Control Panel. There is only 1680x1050 @ 30Hz available :(
Has anybody got the same problem? How can I fix it?
Thank you very much,
XeroX

Jayjay is right. Sometimes these issues can be caused by a bad cable, but I doubt this in your case.
Maybe you could try a HDMI 1.3 cable. You can get this in nearly every well sorted electronics store.
I remember that there was an option in the Catalyst control panel. Make sure the "Reduce DVI frequency on high-resolution displays" is unchecked. Helps for high resolutions.

  • Satellite P200-1EE - Hard disk not found if I try to install XP

Hi and I have a problem.
I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite P200-1EE series laptop running (of all things) Vista and nothing but problems ever since so im trying to install XP professional and overwrite Vista.
But whenever I try to install it says "hard disk not found..... unable to access"
I've heard of problems like this before something like a "software block protocol"
    Any suggestions?

    Hi!
Why you dont search in the forum before you start a new topic?
I mean you will hundreds of threads about this issue here in the forum and you will find the solution of your problem in few minutes.
Well, the reason for this is because you need the SATA drivers before you can install Windows XP. As far as I know your notebook is equipped with an Intel chipset and so you need the Intel Storage Manager. You can integrate the drivers using an external FDD or nLite [www.nliteos.com]. • Satellite A300 - Series Stereo Mix not available with Conexant sound driver

    Hi . . .
    I have Toshiba Satellite A300 PSAJ0E notebook . . .
    I was useing Windows XP Professional . . .
But I am not able to use Stereo Mix the peculiarity . . .
    I installed Conexant HD SmartAudio 221 Driver . . .
What can I do in this subject . . .
    I thank right now . . .
    Best Regards . . .

Unfortunately, but you cannot do much
The point is that this is a Conexant sound driver issue. This options or setting is simply not available in Conexant sound driver and therefore the Stereo Mix port is not available and cannot be used.
I think only an sound driver update can helps so lets wait for a update.

  • Satellite P70-A: monitor profile not available/unable to set other profiles

    Hello.
I have bough last week a new Toshiba notebook (P70-A-11Q) which has Windows 8.1 preinstalled on it.
It seems that the device has a problem with the monitor profiles.
When i watch images on a non profile managed software, the images look fine.
Once i import them on Lightroom or Photoshop, the images get a yellow tint.
This is what i see: Left (Lightrom), Right (Irfan) [Yello Tint|http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/hh565/rockreactor/Clipboard05_zps092c5501.jpg]
Unfortunately i have tried to add sRGB on my profiles but even after restarting i did not see any change.
From what i have noticed the operating system did not have any profiles set at all before.
I know that selecting an sRGB profile is not a great solution and i should rather calibrate my monitor.
The question is why don't the profiles take any effect on my notebook monitor, no matter which one i choose.
Could it be that there is some conflict with the Intel display driver ?
Can Toshiba support such an issue under warranty ?
I believe its not my responsibility to get a totally uncalibrated monitor, or at least a laptop without some suggested profile.
    Thank you in advance

    Hi mate
    > Can Toshiba support such an issue under warranty ?
First of all warranty does not cover any software issue. The warranty covers only hardware problems.
But I dont think also that this could be a software problem. I guess its just an settings issue.
I recommend you to check if the option +Use Windows display calibration"+ is turned ON
    - Open the Color Management control panel.
    - Go to the Advanced tab.
    - Click "Change system defaults..."
    - Go to the Advanced tab in the Color Management - System Defaults dialog.
    - Turn on "Use Windows display calibration" and click Close.
    - Now go back to the Devices tab, change profiles there and click "Set as Default Profile" as usual.
You can also go through the built-in Windows calibration feature ("Calibrate display" button in the advanced tab)

  • Satellite P200 1FT: Different processors in Hardware-Manager

In device manager there are two different processors (T7300 2,0 + T7500 2,2) listed. I thought there have to be two of the T7500's with each 2,2 GHZ??!!

This is nothing unusual ;) I have read that this is a Vista issue and can be solved very easily!
You have to access the device manager and have to remove the CPU entry from the device manager list.
    Then reboot the notebook.
After new reboot the Vista will reinstall the drivers and will refresh the CPU entry in the device manager
After this short procedure the both CPUs should be recognized correctly.

  • Is Satellite P200-1C2 (PSPB6E) 64-bit Windows 7 compatible?

    Hey Guys,
    I got one question there:
I've been trying to find drivers for my Satellite P200 PSPB6E, and I found pretty much all but there is no VAP for the 64-bit version of Windows 7...
I tried the VAP of the Satellite P500 Series and it works more or less but the FN-Hotkey Button won't bring up the flash cards! (that's my major problem so if I could solve that one, the following is not that important)
So my question is, is there the possibility that Toshiba will provide a VAP for Win 7 64-Bit or is that notebook just to old and not compatible anymore?
Or is there another way to grab those drivers I need for those funktions?
    Thanks guys!
    greets,
    Rough

As you know Windows 7 is already long time on the market and if Toshiba didn't offered Win7 64bit stuff until now I don't think it will happen in the future.
What you have done is right. You can try one more thing, to find Flash card support utility for other notebook model and try to install it on your Satellite P200.
I am not sure this will help but you can try it.
Check also flash cards settings and enable option Allow the mouse to bring up the cards. Maybe this option will help you to see use flash cards using mouse pointer.

  • Is Power Saver driver available for Satellite P200-1FJ

Is there a Power Saver Utility and driver for Satellite P200-1FJ to extend the battery time or optimize it's performance ?

    Hi
As Im not completely mistaken the Satellite P200-1FJ must belongs to the PSPB3E series.
The Toshiba Power Saver is available for the Windows XP OS. I found it on the Toshibas driver website and its actually a 7.03.07C version.
For Windows Vista OS you will find the Value Added Package. This package contains a TOSHIBA Power Saver. It controls power consumption by switching to optimum power settings, based on whether the machine is plugged in or on battery power, and based on the remaining battery power.
After the installation of VAP you could find these settings in the Vista power options.
Check control panel -> Power Options
On the left you should see a option called Energy save mode. Check it.
In this mode you could change some power option in change advanced power settings.

  • Satellite Pro A200 - Display Device Hotkey Utility for XP not available

I have just received 6x A200s (PSAE1E-00Q002EN). These were pre-installed with Vista, however, due to the software platform in place at my institution, I rolled-back the OS to Windows XP.
All drivers installed fine form the Toshiba support pages and the standard image that we deploy to laptops has been created. However, some functionality is not available under Windows XP.
Namely the "Fn" key for switching display device (as well as changing brightness/touchpad on-off etc). The ability to switch displays quickly and with a simple User Interface is vital for my users as this is a function they carry out several times a day, with many of them barely computer literate.
The institute I work for have bought many Toshiba laptops (ranging in model from Satellite Pro 1800s up to A120s and A200s!!!) and up until the A200s this was always included under Windows XP - I hope Toshiba release a fix for this.

    Hi
The FN keys dont work due to the BIOS compatibility issue with WinXP.
I presume only the FN+F3 and F4 key combination functions.
This is a special function which belongs to the Toshiba Power saver and using this keys you can switch to the standby and hibernation mode!
I dont know if you have tried to update the BIOS but maybe it will enable the Fn key functionality!
But note; BIOS update is always risky! The wrong BIOS or wrong BIOS update procedure can damage the ROM module where the BIOS is stored!
    Best regards

  • Satellite P200-1FC: CD/DVD drive will not start - error Code 10

My Satellite P200-1FC was purchased in January 2008 and preloaded with Vista Home Premium. The DVD/CD Drive is listed in device manager as "TSST corp CDDVDW TS-L632H ATA Device".
At first the drive worked perfectly, but has recently refused to start. Device manager now shows it with a yellow exclamation mark and it's status is given as "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".
Clicking check for solutions produces "could not load driver software" but no solution.
Searching similar questions in user forums suggests a use of a Microsoft Help & Support page headed "The CD drive or the DVD drive does not work as expected on a computer that you upgraded to Windows Vista".
However this involves modifying the registry! As a relative novice I am reluctant to do this unless I can find no easier way.
Must I bite the bullet and and enter this minefield, or is there a better way?

    >At first the drive worked perfectly, but has recently refused to start. Device manager now shows it with a yellow exclamation mark and it's status is given as "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".
This error is definitely caused by a wrong registry entry.
I had such error several times ago and I have solved it removing the lower and upper filters from these registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    Here are some steps how it worked on my Windows system;
    - I removed the CD/DVD drive from the device manager
    - Then edited the registry as described above
    - Rebooted the notebook
Im sure it will help you too.

  • Satellite P200- Power Saver in XP not working

    Hello,
I have decided to make another thread so that more questions can be answered. Right so I installed Power Saver Driver and then a reboot and then I install Power Saver but when I try to access it from Control Panel I get a message saying "CANNOT open because you do not have access right to use "TOSHIBA Power Saver". Now when I go to the SYs32 directory and look for Toshiba Power Saver related files I find a file called TPSBattM and when I try to run that I get a "A Fatal error has occurred, Code: 0x2".
I have tried re-installing and removing but it still isnt working. Does anybody have a fix for this since this problem has been bugging me on older laptop ever since and TOSHIBA still haven't sorted it out.
I can't seem to find the Common Modules for the Satellite P200-144. If somebody could find them then it should start working again.
Thanks and please somebody try to help me.

  • Satellite P200 - Cdrom is not recognized

    Hi
I have a satellite p200 and my cd rom is no longer recognized by my laptop. I had this problem once before and took it back to pc world who fixed it but didnt let me know why.
Has anyone had the same problem? Anyone know of a solution?

Before you will contact the technicians for the notebook check try to boot from a CD. For example try to install the OS from the Toshiba recovery CD.
If it will be possible then the CD/DVD drive is ok and not faulty. In such case I think the issue could be related to the software and new OS installation should fix this.
From my personal experience the corrupted windows registry could be responsible for such CD/DVD drive issues.

  • Satellite P100: Why the Nvidia 7900 graphic card is not available in UK?

Why is the nvidia 7900 gpu not available in the p100 in UK? In mainland Europe & Middle East the 7900gs is available. The 7900 gtx in the states is available.
    Why?

    Hi
I dont believe that its not possible to buy a P100 with the Nvidia 7900 graphic card in UK. If you cannot purchase it form the notebook dealer in your city so I would say check the notebook online shops.
I have investigated a little bi and found these P100 units with the nVidia 7900 graphic card.
    Satellite P100-426; P100-194; P100-191; P100-196; P100-215; P100-222
I have found three different graphic cards which were delivered with the P100:
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900; GeForce Go 7600 and Intel 945GM Express
Anyway, the P100 is a new notebook and possibly you cannot buy it in every shop but in my opinion in several times this unit should be available in the UK with the GeForce Go 7900

  • Satellite L350-171 not available in UK

    Hello again!
Does anyone know why stock of L350-171 is all out?
I am trying to get a replacement from Tesco for mine which failed but Tesco do not know when they will get stock.
Also tried to look at other places selling online in the UK and they all show the laptop as out of stock. Hope it is not a discontinued product!!! I tried to call Toshiba Customer Services to ask but gave up after 15mins on hold :(.
Getting very itchy about paying for a new gadget but not holding/playing with it!!
    Thanks

    Hi
I dont believe this notebook model could be discontinued at this time.
Fact is that the L350 is one of the newest Sat series at this time and possibly this is the reason why the Satellite L350-171 is not available yet
Maybe you should wait a little bit.

  • Re: Not responding Satellite P200

We have a Toshiba Satellite P200 laptop. Last time we used it, the computer shut down as normal. But when we tried to turn it on the next day it wouldn't do anything.
The blue power cable light is lit, but nothing else, and it won't respond.
    Please help.

I also have a Satellite P200d. Same thing has happened after approx 1 month use. Removing battery and replacing allows computer to boot up but during boot get message that a fault has been found which will be repaired. That happens and laptop boots up ok - error log show video hardware fault. Next time I close down and then try to reboot the same happens again. In addition, during month use I have had a blank screen which recovers with the message that driver atikmdag has failed and has successfully recovered. This happens 2 or 3 times each time I use the laptop. Any suggestions will be welcome. Otherwise its a good bit of kit.

  • Intel VT in the Bios of Satellite P200-13F disabled?

    Hi,
I just bought a toshiba Satellite P200-13F and now I am finding out that the Vitrualization cannot be switched on in the BIOS.
Can anyone tell me if Toshiba is planning to release a BIOS with this feature supported? I want to use the machine for virtualization with XEN.
    Thanks in advance,
    Michael

    Hi people,
I think then toshiba hasnt implented it in the bios yet. Maybe the option is available because the bios images are maybe from a chipset manufacturer but they just didnt enabled it cause they had not implemented all VT routines in the bios to handle the VT-stuff of the Chipset/CPU.
This is just an really wild theory about VT in toshiba laptops and I dont know when they will do it and release a bios where you can enable it.
