Satellite P300 - Windows live messenger says I don't have a webcam

I just bought the laptop yesterday and whenever I try to make the webcam work it wont even let me click on the show my webcam button and it says I have no webcam but its built in.
What shall I do?

In MSN messenger there is option under TOOLS > Audio and Video setup. Please start it and let me know which message is shown there.
I have checked it on my Satellite P200D and suddenly there was message: close application that may use webcam. After doing this start setup again.
I tried everything but nothing helped. At the end I have downloaded and installed Webcam driver again.
After notebook restart cam is recognized properly and I can use it in MSN without any problems.

Need to sync icloud contacts to windows contacts without using outlook or windows live messenger on my pc, i have itunes and icloud fully set up on my pc and i have an ipad2. itunes setting for syncing to windows contacts is not working, nor will it sync to my gmail. I tried to get icloud to sync to my gmail, and thought that i could then sync my gmail to windows contacts, but icloud isn't syncing to gmail either. I configured it correctly, (or at least tried). I was able to copy the csv and all that, and do it manualy, but would like it to sync automatically. Please help.

My computer says I don't have permission to download the new version for Firefoc, why?

Songs don't show up in Windows Live Messenger after itunes 7.0.1 update

The topic line pretty much says it all. I've checked the settings in Messenger. I'm not sure the songs are supposed to show up in Messenger from itunes, but they always have and I like that feature.
Since updating itunes from 7.0 to 7.0.1 this feature doesn't work. I wonder why apple doesn't test their stuff before releasing it anymore. They're getting as bad as Microsoft anymore, which is a shame. I'm referring mainly to the larger problems with itunes 7 rather than my petty problem here.

in windows live messenger (msn 8.0) go 2 tool>options & make sure the show song information from WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER as a personal messeger box is ticked!
then sign out of the messenger, close it & itunes, then open up windows live messenger, sign in, then open itunes @ start playing ur songs!

ITunes & Windows Live Messenger (MSN) - Now Playing Feature.

I'm a lover of iTunes over Windows Media Player and made the switch approximately a year and a half ago when I bought my iPod. At first I was upset I would lose the "Now Playing" feature of my Messenger and said the pros were far more beneficial. However after a month or two I noticed that suddenly it worked and all was well...
However, Just recently, I believe when I bought an iPod Nano recently and synced it for the first time. It has stopped working and no longer displays no matter what I've tried... now before you go tell me something you'd tell a noobie, Let me first say... Yes, "Show What I'm Listening To" is checked... and I've tried those stupid little work arounds that make no sense such as the option of iTunes not being minimised to the system tray and Messenger being the main window...
Why did it work before and why did it stop, was it the new iPod syncing causing iTunes to malfunction? I've uninstalled and reinstalled both to no fix... Please help!

Okay... I've solved my issue using a work-around. the iTunes code for broadcasting these things definintely needs to be looked into. Its pretty trivial that syncing an iPod that doesn't have the "manual ejection" option ticked could cause a detrimental issue such as this.
As Hinted, to fix the issue. Make sure the iPod is set to be 'manually ejected' once its finished syncing. This means you will effectively have to eject it yourself using iTunes once you've synced it.
The steps I did was...
*1. Set iPod to be 'manually ejected' once synced and hit apply.*
*2. Sync iPod... again, for good measure.*
*3. Restart the computer.*
*4. Start iTunes with the iPod still connected, Sync it again.*
*5. Open Windows Live Messenger and make sure 'show what im listening to' is ticked.*
*6. Play a song in iTunes and see if it worked.*
*Please post if this helped you.* Im sure a few of those steps like re-syncing aren't neccesary, then again it's "Apple" iTunes so it's best to be safe then sorry.

Well, just got a new laptop, downloaded iTunes, and i want my Messenger contacts to to see the music i'm listening too, in my personal message, this works with Windows Media Player, but can someone help me get it working with iTunes?

ITunes disrupting Internet Explorer, Windows Live Messenger

I recently downloadeded iTunes 7.4.2.4. Now when I have Internet Explorer open at the same time as iTunes, iTunes will constantly switch to itself, or in any other program will sit on the taskbar flashing orange, without me doing anything. It also refuses to show what I am listening to on Windows Live Messenger. Any help?

Error with windows live messenger

I tried to update msn messenger yesterday! and since then msn has gone from my phone and in My world the app just says starting download! but has been doing that for 24hrs. Ive had no problems downloading anything else. I cant do anything with it either!!! like start again or go back ....Thanks for any help...

When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which minor issues with the BlackBerry device.
After performing about try downloading the Windows Live Messenger again.

Windows live messenger disconnection on nokia 6022...

Hi up until recently I could log into windows live messenger on my mobile, now when I log in I get a error 201 and a message say that "you were disconnected from windows live messenger - server initiated disconnect" then asks if I want to connect again. I have searched the net for a answer to how I can get back on messenger but no answer anywhere. Can anyone help me?

i believe we are talking about 6220 Classic right?
have you checked "Download"? have you tried to update "Download" as well, if it is not showing there?
the other things is if your 6220 is network locked, you might have some restrictions on the apps availability and usage, try to ask your service provider...
if certificate error is shown, try to check the "Application Manager" and see Settings and make sure "Software installation is set to ALL, and Online certificate is also "OFF"

Nokia 5800 windows live messenger

many times i have tried 2 install windows live messenger in my nokia 5800 but it says expired certifiacte . where can i dwnload the messenger for free which works

I have a Nokia 5800, I got it in the first week that it was released in the UK. (Just in case it's a particular version.)
I have got the official Windows Live Messenger application, it installed without any problems whatsoever.
But, I have a really weird problem. This is what happens...
I open the application.
It shows me the sign in screen.
I click the textbox and start to enter my email address... I get about half way through entering it then....
My phone instantly turns off and the screen fades away!
It isn't always the same place where I am editing text, but it's always in the sign in process.
I haven't a clue why this happens, it has never happened in any other application, but happens every time with Messenger?!?!
(Before anyone asks: Yes, my phone was charged.)

Windows live messenger disappeared?

Yesterday I accidentally hid windows live messenger but then I found the way to get it back by pressing show all.
But today I went to go on the application and it wasn't anywhere, I tried to press the show all button again but it wasn't there when I clicked the menu key.
I then tried to re download it and it didn't change anything.
Does anyone no what could of happened or how to fix this? Thank you.

1. On your homescreen, press the Menu key > SHOW ALL, so that SHOW ALL is checked.
When and if you see it, click the Menu key again > unhide.

2. Look in EACH folder on your device... Applications, Instant Messengers, Downloads, etc.
If you still don't see it, look at Options > Advanced > Applications. Do you see it listed there?
You might have accidentally moved it to a folder.

Awkward Windows Live Messenger issue with 6760

I was having a windows live messenger conversation with a friend yesterday on my new 6760, the area I was in had terrible reception so it kept roaming or cutting out, asking me if I wanted to resend my messages, etc.
I resent them a few times, not sure if they were getting through, when I was startled by a response from a totally different person on my messenger list.
To be clear- I was chatting with person A, when suddenly person B was receiving my messages instead. The chat still said I was talking to person A, and when I checked who was involved in the chat, the only participants were listed as myself and person A, however all my messages were being sent to person B instead, who I had not actually initiated a chat with, they just happened to be online at that time.
Any ideas? I'm a little paranoid to use messenger now, not knowing who is going to end up getting my messages!

Why don't you use another im application like nimbuzz(get.nimbuzz.com) or ebuddy(get.ebuddy.com)

Problem running Windows Live Messenger on Nokia N9...

Recently I upgraded my FW to 21.0.016 and since than I can't run Windows Live Messenger "for security reasons".
Does anyone has an idea how to solve this?

I installed the new FW 40.0.005 for Nokia 5800 and then Windows Live Mesenger and Hotmail disappeared.
I went to Ovi Store to download it again (Ovi Store) but now it says "Sorry, this item is not available for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.Browse ...
Any idea?

FWIW, when I searched on store.ovi.com for Windows Live Messenger, there were no results. Maybe it's just been pulled back for an update to be compatible with the new firmware?
It doesn't even show in "My Stuff" download history...maybe it wasn't isntalled through OVI but App Updates instead? Try that...
