Satellite P75-A7100 No HDMI Audio Help Please!

Had to make device dual boot due to work circumstances with 7 32bit on one side and 8.1 64 bit on the other side.  Read the posts and lots of tinkering with but still no audio out on the HDMI on either sides.  Primarily looking to accomplish on the 8.1 side.  Went through thre reccomended driver install directly from the TOSHIBA page in the order reccomended:
1. Chipset
2. HD4600
3. Conexant Audio Driver
No luck with the video being fine and no audio.  Not recognizing the audio connection in the drivers portion even under disconnected and disabled devices.
Also downloaded latest HD4600 driver from intel and tried to manually install AUDIO portion but getting the windows Error 10 and not allowing.  From what I read that is the fix but no luck there.
Any suggestions or direction please?

Downloads here.
I don't really know anything about this. I stopped by because you didn't mention looking for the HDMI audio here.
Control Panel > Sound > Playback tab
If you don't see it there, right-click in that panel and make sure all devices are showing. I once needed to change the default device there in order to enable the HDMI sound.
Just a a thought. If that's not your trouble, I can't help.

  • Replacement for Windows 8.1 on a Satellite P75-A7100?

Windows 8/8.1 is horrible for non-touch computers, but I don't want to argue that point. The poor sales of Windows 8/8.1 are proof enough.  I wouldn't have bought this computer if I had known what I now know about WIndows 8/8.1.
From reading posts here, I gather there is a big problem getting drivers for the Satellite P75-A7100 if one tries to downgrade to Windows 7 and that therefore downgrading to Windows 7 is not practical.
I have read that the next version, Windows 10, will try to remedy the touch screen interface people like me don't like.  Will there be a driver problem or other problems upgrading to Windows 10 on the Satellite P75-A7100?

Hey there, after literally months of reseach and headaches i was able to downgrade and track down all drivers. Thankfully i am stubborn enough to see this kind of pains through. If you are still looking to downgrade let me know, i'll find a way to get them to you.

  • Satellite p75-a7200 error on boot. Please help ASAP.

Just bought this laptop for my daughter on Christmas. Here is the error information.
When I power on the system I get a blue screen with this on it.
    Recovery
Your PC Needs to be repaired
The Boot Configuration Data file is missing some required information.
    File: \BCD\
    Error Code 0xc0000034
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. (And so on)
Press ESC for UEFI firmware Settings (This only puts me into system BIOS)
How can I make this recovery tool(s) when I can not even get into Windows 8?
Note: I have another laptop that I can use, but im not able to make a Bootable USB for some reason in Windows 7.

    Satellite P75-A7200
In case Windows does not boot, you should be able to enter the recovery environment, which in Windows 8.x looks like the picture below.
From Troubleshoot you can go to System Restore, Safe Mode, Startup repair ("Automatic Repair"), a command prompt,  the BIOS/UEFI, or even restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents from the recovery partition..
According to Microsoft, trying and failing to boot several times will eventually take you to the recovery environment instead. According to Toshiba, you can also get there by pressing F2 or the zero key on powering up.
    Try many times.
Have you upgraded to Windows 8.1?

  • Streaming Audio Help Please!

I need to place streaming audio in a site that will run two six hour blocks of audio per day and then repeat them.  Each day will have different content.  Can anyone recommend a package to use for this?  I found live365.com but it's subscription based and I think it will end up being too expensive.  It has great bells and whistles including cover art, compatable with ipod and smartphones, but the cost... Also looked at a package by NCH, but it's missing a lot of the bells and whistles.
Any help would be very much appreciated!

If you want to use Playlists, and tie your catalog into e-commerce look at Wimpy MP3 Streaming.  Although this isn't REAL streaming, it's more on the order of progressive downloads.  It is highly customizable and can be configured a number of different ways depending on your needs.

  • Satellite L305D-S5893 Web Cam Help Please?!?!

So I just got this new Satellite L305D-S5893 and it has a web cam but I have NO clue how to use it. I checked the resource guide on how to use it and there's nothing in there.. I looked in my start menu.. under programs and found a "Camera Assistant Software" but that does nothing when I click on it? So can anyone help me and tell me how to use the web cam on this thing? Thanks in advance =D
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

When you open the camera assist software it usually hides the program on the left side of the screen. Try moving your mouse around the edges of the screen until it pops up.  Or you can look for the utility in the toolbar and click "show toolbar".  Then you can click on "start camera".
To make sure the camera is detected you can look in device manager.  Look for "Imaging devices" and then make sure it shows Chiconey USB 2.0 camera.
    Hope this helps

  • HDMI Switch Help please!!

Hi everyone! So I am not tech savvy AT ALL and received Apple TV as a gift. I'm very anxious to set it up - but it's not going well. Any help would be appreciated
I have a LCD Panasonic VIera with 1 HDMI input that goes directly to my Time Warner DVD (also only 1 HDMI). I have no component cables so it's just that cord that provides me with my lovely time warner tv.
SO I bought a 3 input hdmi switch and went from the output directly to TV and then out my Time warner & Apple TV in the inputs. But it doesn't work.
My cable is on input 3 and the only thing it did do was assign Apple TV to that input (so that my cable was non-existent)
What am I doing wrong!! Thank you - and happy thanksgiving!!
    Any ideas?

Put your cable into the HDMI switch input #1 and AppleTV on #2 or 3. Since the ATV is always on (almost) it will block your cable signal if you connect the cable to #1. With the ATV plug into #3 the signal will get through to your TV as long as your cable box is off. Once you turn the cable box on, it gets priority to the TV through the HDMI switch since it's in the #1 socket. With the cable box off, the AppleTV in #3 can get through to the TV.

  • Audio help please!!!!!!

remember how with the old imovie you had the video bar and sound bar underneath so that you could edit the sound seperately, is there a feature like this on the new imovie? im having trobule editing the sound clips with my video....as i cant seem to get the sound seperate.
is there a way to edit or remove the sound, or even get a bar for the sound so that i can play around with it???
    hope that makes sense???
    thank you

    xxxxxxx

remember how with the old imovie you had the video bar and sound bar underneath so that you could edit the sound seperately, is there a feature like this on the new imovie?
No. While Event and Project movie thumbnails can be expanded to simulate an a video timeline in 2-dimensions in their respective window, there is no separate wave form "bar" as with earlier versions. iMovie is more for the editing of video content while GarageBand is better to handle the fine mixing down and enhancing of multiple audio tracks. Audio and Titles pinned to a video clip are displayed as merely "ribbons" above and below the video thumbnails while background audio is displayed as a "green" background for all other project clips.
im having trobule editing the sound clips with my video....as i cant seem to get the sound seperate.
If you can be more specific here, maybe someone can can assist you with some detailed instructions.
is there a way to edit or remove the sound, or even get a bar for the sound so that i can play around with it?
Again, can you be more specific as to what you mean by "edit?" Audio can be turned down to zero or "ducked" but it cannot be deleted from an Event clip. On the other hand, audio can be extracted from an Event clip and be pinned to Project clips, audio can be added to the background, and audio files can be layered/overlapped when pinned to clips.

  • Movie maker does not put the clips together and no audio HELP PLEASE!

What is the deal with the movie maker feature I click on all the clips I want for the movie , then click the Create movie feature and it only blends a small portion of the clips together , and there is no audio at all what gives? Im doing what it says to do.. The software for the vado movie making and editing is to vague..

I Hightlight all the movie you want to combine then click create moi've, I think you must then re-highlight them then click preview. But you might want to go to settings and move the slider all the way to the right so you only hear the audio from your videos.

  • No HDMI Audio from PNY Nvidia G210 Card - Please Help [SOLVED]

    ***** It's now working! *****
Thanks to some of the posts on the XBMC and Ubuntu hardware forums. I picked up a lot of pointers.
When using this card with XBMC, There is no need at all for an /etc/modprobe.d/sound.conf with probe masks etc. and there is no need for a /etc/asound.conf either (if you are going to just use XBMC like me for your HTPC setup)
All you need is ALSA 1.0.23 installed and at least be running kernel 2.6.34. aplay -l should reveal multiple (4) Nvidia devices as shown in my previous text further down this post, this is fine, however only 1 of these Nvidia devices will actually deliver sound to your TV via HDMI.
In XBMC, goto System Settings, Audio Settings, set device to "Custom" and enter only ONE of the following and then try and play a movie or music in XBMC... (My G210 Nvidia soundcard is card 1 as I also have onboard audio at card 0 so bear this in mind when applying this method to your setup e.g if your HDMI soundcard is card 0 then the first thing to try is plughw:0,3)
    plughw:1,3
    plughw:1,7
    plughw:1,8
    plughw:1,9
My PNY G210 card worked using a "Custom" device in XBMC of plughw:1,8
If you are not using XBMC and are using for example a Gnome desktop then you can apparently get sound working by using the text in the code box below in your /etc/asound.conf (this will ensure alsa defaults to the correct card and sub device for hdmi audio) again ensure you are using the correct card number and device number. You can validate this by testing audio as follows from the command line "speaker-test -D plughw:1,8 -r 44100" and simply work your way through the 4 devices until you find the one that works.
    pcm.!default {
    type plug
    slave.pcm {
    type hw
    card 1
    device 8
Given the amount of testing and reading I have done on this, I wouldn't be surprised if this method works for any G210 Nvidia cards and HDMI audio, as the logic seems sound (if you'll pardon the pun! :-))
Hopefully someone will find this helpful.

I've tried the tips from the wiki here in terms of probe masks added to sound.conf but still no joy. http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=HOW-TO_set_ … ,_or_GT240

Disabling the motheroard onbonard Intel Audio makes no difference and manually compiling and installing the very latest ALSA driver makes no difference.
Has anyone got HDMI audio working on this card under linux?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer as I have now run out of ideas and if I can't get this to work will have to revert back to my old ASUS EN9400GT card which takes s/pdif from the motherboard for audio out to HDMI.

  • Dv73060us connected to t v via HDMI Audio only from PC Help, please OS is Windows 7

I have connected my pc , using HDMI cable, to the TV, Everything seems to work well except for the fact that the audio is through the pc only. I went to control panel. hardware, sound and made the hdmi option the default.Audio still from pc only. Someone's help, please

    wcrawf,
The brand of TV makes a difference sometmes... older Philips TVs in particular are fussy and have their own setup in the control panels (cannot recall where, this is from a thread from last ... Oct?  I think I can find it if you need the info).
There is an "Order of Events" that needs to be followed; it is more important sometimes than others.
If the issue is a "simple one", then this may help as a "Check List":
Resolving HDMI Display and Sound Issues
Reprint of an earlier post - something here may work:
NOTE:  If this does work, the "Hard Reset" rule applies - it should "stick", that is, you shouldn't have to do it this way each time - it's just a matter of getting it set up.
Order of Events - A "Hard Reset" of the HDMI Audio Setup:
    Enable Digital Audio (S/PDIF)
Connect HDMI  from computer toTV’s HDMI/DVI input port
Set your TV input to HDMI/DVI input.   (You won’t have sound yet.)
Turn of the TV.  Shut down the computer.
Boot the computer - wait for it to boot all the way.  Log in.
Sound should be "dead" - no system sounds at this point.
All the audio should be going through the HDMI port.
If not, and you are getting sound, try setting "Digital Audio" setting (if you have it) as an option, [quote] "although this should not be necessary."
Remove any headphones and any other non-HDMI output from computer and Reboot.
If you get sound, it's still not ready - play with the sound output.
When you get it to the point where the sound is "dead" (while the HDMI port is still connected) after you reboot, you are ready.
    Turn on the TV.
Check for Sound through the HDMI port.  Should be working.
    The FIX-ALL Link for HDMI:
I could take credit for this - but, you know - this is just not my area of expertise...  Your solution may be here - almost everything that can happen to HDMI has happened to someone at some point.  I've used this forum before - it's a great reference.

I have just tried to connect my Mac book pro to an LG Plasma TV via an iWires Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable. All I get on my TV is the Mac wallpaper and nothing else. I am missing something really silly, could anyone help please.

Hi there. I also bought an iWires mini Display port to HDMI cable and have an LG LED/LCD TV. I plugged it in to my MB Pro and followed the very small writing that came in the package and got both audio and video going. You need to change the audio settings from within System Preferences on your Mac to select your TV as the audio output.
My concern is the data latency - do you experience a delay between moving your mouse on the MBPro and the TV displaying the movement? It is only a fraction of a second, but certainly enough to be annoying, especially in a cable as expensive as the iWire.

    Hi Sez,
Try using Recovery Manager to reinstall your AMD Graphics Driver package as this will also reinstall the AMD HDMI Audio driver- the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the relevant document on the link below.
    Recovery Manager - Windows 8.
    Recovery Manager - Windows 7
    Recovery Manager - Windows Vista
After the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.
