Satellite P775-S7372 has a backlit keyboard??

I want to buy the Satellite P775-S7372 but I need to know if it has a backlit keyboard because I read somewhere that it doesn’t but according to the promo series video it has.
Does it have?

According to the official Toshiba specs (located below), this machine does NOT have a backlit keyboard.

when i bought my x230t, the seller said that the model had backlit keyboard. but now when i press the "FN key + SPACE" nothing happens. I have all the drivers installed (i think). So i wanted to ask if you even need drivers or any software for the backlit keyboard to work?

Satellite P750-11W - Backlit keyboard for this model

Hello.
I recently boughty a Satellite P750-11W. I thought that the keyboard was backlit, but I was wrong. I bought it in Spain where I am working at the moment. Have you got one of this model with backlit keyboard? If not the same model (not 11W), any P750 with backlit keyboard?

Satellite P750-11W has no backlit keyboard thats right but there are many other Satellite P750 models with backlit keyboard.
I have checked the Toshiba page and for example Satellite P750-10Q has backlit keyboard:

If you want a backlit keyboard get in contact with an authorized service provider. The guys can order all original Toshiba spare parts and exchange them. Another user has already exchanged the keyboard with a backlit one:

Sat P500-150 Backlit keyboard

Dear users,
I need to know if the *Toshiba Satellite P500-150* has a backlit keyboard. I called Toshiba and the person at the helpdesk told me that in none of the specifications of the P500 models he could find anything about a backlit keyboard BUT he wasn't sure that information was true. I know this isn't true because there are reviews of the P500 series on youtube which show they have a backlit keyboard. I tried contacting differend dealers but with no results.
Could someone maybe help me with this one?

I agree with you. Some P500 models are equipped with backlight keyboard.
Unfortunately Keany seems to be right, the specifications on the Toshiba website shows nothing about backlight keyboard on this model. :(
So you should look for other P500 models if you want this feature.

Satellite P750-13F - How to enable backlit keyboard on Windows 8

Hello!
today i installed Windows 8 premium on my P750-13F, which has a backlit keyboard. In order to upgrade to Windows 8 I had to uninstall some Toshiba drivers and other programs.
Now I have Windows 8 fully functional, but I don't know how to access to the FN button functions (Screen brightness, wifi on/off, volume up/down).
Now that that FN-button is innoperative the function that I miss the most is the one for keyboard illumination, because I can still do everything else by some other ways (I mean volume up/down, screen brightness etc.) but i don't know how to illuminate the keyboard now.
I tried installing Toshiba Hardware Setup Utility, but it won't install with Windows 8. I don't really care much if the FN-button remains innoperative (although it would be nice if it wouldn't) but what I really want is to be able to change the keyboard illumination.
I will be very thankfull for any ideas.

Toshiba need time to prepare and test the Windows 8 drivers so you need to wait a while.

You need the Toshiba Value Added Package for Win8 & P750, and possibly the Flashcards support utility as well.

Where is the backlit Keyboard?

I got the Lenovo Flex 2 14'' 2 in 1 laptop today. It says on the computer screen on the sticker that it has a Backlit Keyboard (optional). I cant find anything on the compter to turn it on or cant find any help online. Please help !

Can you confirm that your machine is supposed to have the feature?

Backlit keyboard not recognized on PowerBook?

I have a Powerbook G4 15" 1.25ghz. It came with the backlit keyboard. The keyboard backlight hasn't worked for some time. I had just assumed that it was just turned off somehow.
I began to look into it and it seems that my computer no longer thinks it has a backlit keyboard. The buttons (f8 - f10) do not do anything and the options for it are no longer available in the keyboard settings in the control panel.
Anyone have any ideas as to what might have happened here?

THe little board that holds the sensor can come off the main board. I blew one off and there's no mark there was ever one there. That happens when you want to take a screw out to find a lost screw behind the main board, for example.
The problem is that little board is affixed with a little socket which is too tight, and its solder's strength is less than the socket's mount strength, so when you try to un-plug it, you end up blowing the whole socket off.

Backlit Keyboard Not Working Anymore

I own a Toshiba Satellite P50-A-05H with backlit keyboard. It used to work fine but not sure what happened.
Now I'm only able to enable/disable while it's booting up, when I login to my computer and do Fn+Z nothing happens
can anyone help me?

Backlit Keyboard has stopped working on Satellite P50-A-12Z

I bought my Satellite P50-A-12Z over a year ago, and since few weeks the backlit keyboard has stopped working.
I used to hold FN+W to turn on/off the light keyboard, but now it doesn't work anymore and I have the message "chronometer" on the top right of the screen as you can see on this screenshot:

When I go to Desktop Assist > Tools & Utilities > Function Key , keyboard backlight is set to OFF but can't set it to ON:

I don't know if this will help but try please following: perform complete shutdown - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm
Start notebook again and press F12. There you should find option to enter BIOS settings. Enter BIOS settings and try to enable keyboard backlight there.
Please test it and send some feedback.

Satellite A500 PSAM3A-04200E seems to belong to Toshiba Australian notebook series.
In order to use a backlit keyboard, the motherboard needs to provide a special connector/port for keyboard illumination cable.
You could get some details from a Toshiba ASP in Australia

It is not easy to get such info. You know it is marketing decision which models will be offered on certain market.
What you can do is to check official Toshiba Poland page and check which models will be available in your country. I believe in the future Toshiba will offer more and more models and I can imagine U500 with keyboard back-light will be offered in the future.
Try to contact someone from Toshiba department in your country. If someone has info about that this must be the right address.

No, this keyboard does not have that button. I found out that this model does not have the backlit keyboard!!!!
Very annoyed as I was told by the sales people that it did have a backlit keyboard. Now that I have set the thing up I will end up keeping it!
I'm a little surprised by the lack of support that Toshiba give... other products much better supported.

I have checked the specifications of Satellite Pro T130 on official Toshiba website and it seems this model isnt equipped with backlit keyboard and as far as all T130 models using a standard half gloss keyboard.
So I think you must life without this feature on T130 ;)
