Satellite P870/05P - TV Tuner cannot find channels

I have just purchased the P870/05P laptop with TV tuner. I have plugged in the antenna cable from my TV to the laptop and run up Arcsoft TV 5.0 and perform a channel scan. It doesn't find any channels at all. Can someone please provide any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong.
The laptop came with Windows 8 pre-installed.

Check the user manual how to use the TV tuner:

The notebook supports the Integrated Hybrid Digital / Analogue TV Tuner.
This means that you can receive and watch TV channels on your notebook.
If you want to receive channeled via the DVB-T, you have to ensure that DVB-T (digital broadcasts) are available in the region where you are living.
Of course you can connect a set-top box using coaxial cable to receive the programs on cable TV or satellite broadcasting.
The Windows Media Center or in your case Arcsoft tv 5.0 can be used to watch TV programs or record them.

I am getting a message on most of my tunes "cannot find original file" what happened????

Help!!! I have most of my iTunes marked with an EXCLAIMATON MARK! and when I click on them it says the original file cannot be found....I did not delete anything yet when I synced my iPad yesterday only 54 songs loaded...........WHAT HAPPENED??? Did I loose all my music...can I get them back...does iTunes have copies of all my songs somewhere that I can retrieve them????? I have most of them on my iPod nano...can that be synced back to iTunes??? Yikes, HELP!!!

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

Hello, the software you are trying to install is proboly going to the C drive which hasn't got enough room. When the software ask for the location that you would it installing to try installing it to the D drive.

As mentioned above you will not find Toshiba drivers designed especially for the Windows 2003 R2 Server.
But dont worry and dont give up.
The simply Windows XP drivers should be compatible and you should be able to install the Xp drivers on the Win2003 Server OS.

Cannot find role SAP_SDCCN_ALL in satellite system

I cannot find the role SAP_SDCCN_ALL in satellite system. The sattelite system is R3 4.7 PI 2003_1_470, PI_Basis 2003_1_620. Did anyone of you encounter the same problem?.

Hi Anil,
the role SAP_SDCCN_ALL is shipped with ST-PI 2005_1_*.
In this ST-PI release the new transaction SDCCN is shipped first time. This transaction replaces the old SDCC. So it is quite clear that in the ST-PI 2003__ the role is not available.
So please upgrade your ST-PI and you will get the new SDCCN.
This SDCCN has the following new features and functions. You can send data to more then one Solution Manager.
If you have installed the new ST-PI and you are generating then RFCs (the SM_*_BACK), the tool automatically assigns this destination to the SDCCN, so then automatically the SDCCN would ask the new SolMan for new sessions.
Also one big advantage of the new SDCCN is, if one download is required by more then one service, this download will not be collected multiple times (reduces system load), it is collected only ones. By default a new download will be collected after 3 or 6 days, this is customizing of the SDCCN.
So I recommend to upgrade your ST-PI

I-Tunes cannot transfer all items/cannot find file(!)

When I try to transfer my Library and Playlists to my new I-Pod it tells me that it cannot find some files. I get in the left column of my I-Tunes page.

I am not on my home computer but I will try it when I get home. I added a Western Digital hard drive for extra storage on my Dell. I think that there is data on both hard drives. Thanks for your help. Hopefully I can figure out how to sign in from home and I will update you.

I have European notebook model and for drivers, tools, utilities and BIOS update it is important to know first part of notebook part number.
If you have some time take a look under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
The same must be for Canadian notebook models. To be honest I dont understand why they offer whole part number. Unfortunately I cannot say anything about BIOS update. Maybe is the support page not up-to-date.
If you want to have exact info contact Toshiba Canada. They must know what is wrong there. Part number of your notebook model can be checked in Toshiba data base.

Satellite L300-19Y: GPU issue - device cannot find enough free resoursces

I have an error message on my Display Adaper stating the following,
"The device cannot find enough free resoursces that it can use (code12).
If you want to this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on the system."
It is a Satellite L300-19Y with Mobile intel 4 series Graphics card. I have updated to the latest driver.
The screen is very fuzzy at present.
Please help with a solution if possible.

You tried to install a ATI driver on this notebook.
I have no idea if this would affect the OS functionality but it seems that you get a error message while installing the Intel driver so maybe you have muddled up the OS installing some wrong drivers
Did you use the driver from Toshiba driver page?
If not do that!
You should firstly uninstall the driver in device manager and then should reboot the notebook.
After new reboot you should check if you could install the driver once again

I have 2 x Satellite L300D-11V series laptop and both are having the same problem: they are not detecting my wireless network in my house but I have proved the wireless hub by using a third PC (HP) and works perfectly,
Ive checked the wireless switch is on and done the FN+F8 key but it still cannot find a network. I've checked the devices in the Network adaptors and it finds Realtek RTL8102E Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC but this is a LAN card isn't it?
Other devices show an Unknown Device but where would I find the Wireless device?

I don't know what kind of stories you heard in both shops but the fact is that Toshiba offers notebooks with WLAN card inside. All these notebooks are delivered with preinstalled operating system (recovery image) and have factory settings.
This recovery image contains operating system, all necessary drivers (including WLAN driver), Toshiba designed tools and utilities and some additional software. So if you buy new notebook with preinstalled OS the WLAN driver is there.
The statement from both shops is either misinformation or there is some misunderstanding.

Satellite L770 - I cannot find an adobepdf.dll

I've just taken delivery of a L770 laptop and am now busy installing my programs.
Adobe Acrobat Professional v8.00 asks for adobepdf.dll to be installed from the Windows Vista CD-Rom, which I don't have because this laptop has Windows 7 Home edition 64 bit installed.
I cannot find an adobepdf.dll on this computer, nor rather worryingly can I find any cab files. I did not receive a windows cd as I did with my first Toshiba laptop many years ago - am I now stuck?
I thought that all computers had to have the windows files supplied?

Of course you cannot be happy with that but adobepdf.dll is not a part of the Windows OS and the Acrobat Pro was not a part of the image so I assume the Acrobat Pro has to be installed once again in order to include this
