Satellite Pro P750: LAN settings greyed out

I just installed my new P750/2r running 64 bit Windows 7 onto my domain and found that I can not connect IE version 8 as the LAN settings (under Tools/ Internet Options/ connection) are greyed out for Automativ scripting and Proxy settings.
I log in an adminstrator and as a local user but they are stilled greyed out. I have a work around happening at the moment by installing Firefox which is fine (however it is a pain using two system).
I went online to Microsoft and they stated it was a Toshiba issue.

Hi buddy,
And what happens if update Internet Explorer to newest version 9?
You can download newer version of Internet Explorer here:

  • Satellite C870-12E - BIOS settings greyed out

I recently noticed that i cannot change settings in BIOS anymore, almost all settings are greyed out. I'm not sure when this happened, maybe after updating to BIOS version 1.6 but it could also happened after upgrading to Windows 8. I'm just not sure. What i do know that it was ok before.
What i did notice is that in the Post-screen (where you can use F2) on the lower right side of the screen there is a sort of Power button Logo which i never noticed before.
All efforts to push whatever buttons falied to edit settings in the BIOS.
    Hope someone can help out.
    Thanks...

Tried it with and without supervisor password.
In the first post i mentioned the Powerbutton like logo with blue dots around it in the first boot screen. The strange thing is that my wife has exactly the same laptop and version 1.6 BIOS but she doesn't have that logo and can edit the BIOS settings without any problem.
So i keep wondering if that logo has something to do with it. Is it asking me to press and/or hold a certain key combination? I've tried anytihing i could think of but nothing works.
I also tried switching Fast- and Normal boot once again with no result.
Even with Fastboot enabled i still get the "F2" screen :(
Problem remains that under any circumstance i can enter the BIOS but not change anything but the user password.

I recently upgraded my Iphone 4s to 5.1.1 and founf the Wi-Fi button in settings greyed out saying No Wi-Fi.  I have tried Reset network Settings, Rest All Settings and restore in Itunes but to no avail.  I understand this is a comon occurence but I cant find a solution to it.  Can anybody help?

    See this tip --> http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559
If this doesn't resolve it you most likely have a hardware failure. Fortunately, your phone is in warranty, so if you take it to an Apple store they will replace it.

  • Acrobat X Pro Form Edit option greyed out

    Acrobat X Professional running on Win7 32bit.
We are converting a word document into PDF with Acrobat, however after the file is converted the option to Edit Form is greyed out.
The same word document can be converted on other PCs with Adobe X Pro, where the Form Editing tools are available to use.

Do you see other Editing options like Distribute Forms, create etc? Are they all greyed out?
If that is the case- Look for Form (AcroForm.api) under Help->Adobe Acrobat Plug-ins. Is that available?
Check the conversion settings under Preferences-> Convert to PDF-> Select MS word from the list. Look if there is any security set.

  • HDV Settings - Greyed Out

I'm trying to import my 1290 x 1080 ACVHD files into Premier Pro CS5.  Even when I set my import setting to HD, I'm getting a 4:3 preview monitor with my footage letterboxed.  There appear to be settings to change the resolution, but they're greyed out.  I saw someone post this question about CS3 receive the suggestion that his software hadn't been activated.  I have an option under help for "Deactivate", so I assume my copy is activated.  Can someone tell me how to get Premier to let me set up my sequence or file settings for wide screeen?  Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    my 1290 x 1080 ACVHD
You probably meant 1920 x1080 material.
Import and drag a clip to the New Item icon at the bottom of the project panel. It will automatically create the proper sequence settings.

  • Apple File Settings "Greyed" out?

I'm trying to access the Apple File Setting pane of a folder that is shared through my workgroup manager however all the settings have been greyed out. Specifically I want to toggle the option of Inherit permissions from parent as opposed to the current setting "Use standard POSIX behaviour". Must be something simple, any ideas?

If ACLs are enabled for the volume ("drive") that houses the sharepoint(s) in question, then the AFP inherit-permissions option is not available by design.
Even if you're not using ACLs yet, if they're enabled for the drive, then the AFP option in question is unavailable.
Check in Workgroup Manager (changing to view drives instead of sharepoints)
    if ACLs are enabled.

  • Color and Color Management boxes in Print Settings greyed out. Using PS CS5.1 with Mac OSX 10.9.5.

For some reason, the above boxes are now greyed out when I go to Print Settings and I am getting prints that are badly distorted. Was working perfectly a few days ago and can't understand why this has suddenly happened ?  Am now confused as to what settings I should have in the Color Management dialogue box in order to get back to the correct operation.

I've also been having this problem. My computer now consistently shuts down between 10 seconds and 2 minutes of startup. This only happens if my computer is not plugged in. (my battery has been between 70-90% the entire time.) If I keep it plugged in...no problems.

  • SAP Gui 7.20 Configure Color Settings Greyed Out

Hi, I have installed the new SAP Gui 7.20 patch 1 on 2 machines at my company.  On one machine we can easily change the color settings for each theme.  On the other PC, we can not go into "Configure Color Settings" to change the colors for any theme.  The button is greyed out.  I followed the extact same installation procedure and have the same access to both as well.
Has anyone seen this issue before and know how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Marty

Another classic SAP problem where the solution involves patting your head while simultaneously scratching your nuts and jumping up and down.
    Follow these steps:
    1. open SAP Login Pad.
    2. open up a client and click on the 'Customise Local Layout' icon (Alt + F12).
    3. Select 'Options...'
    4. Select the ironically named 'Enjoy Theme'.
    5. Click 'Apply'
    6. Click on 'Ok' and close the client windows and the SAP Logon Pad. Note: you must close restart the SAP Login Pad for the them changes to take effect.
    7. open the SAP Login Pad.
    8. open up a client and click on the 'Customise Local Layout' icon (Alt + F12).
    9. Select 'Options...'
    10. click on 'Colors in System'
    11. select your favourite colour and click on 'Apply'.
    12. click on 'Ok'.
If this post can stop even one person from going insane it will have been worth it.

  • Flash Pro CS6  Update menu greyed out + AAM fail, supressed by the Admin - Win7-64

    Hi,
    I want to update Flash Pro Cs6 (PC Win7 64bit) to Update2.
However, the menu Help>Updates is greyed out.
The Update2 AMM patch installer says "updates could not be applied. Contact your system Admin. Updates have been suppressed by the Admin"
    before starting.
This seems to point towards a privilege issue but, I have tried to :
run Flash as admin, run the updater as admin, install flash logged in as admin and updater logged in as admin,
    without any luck....
This is the install log summary:

Just noticed this was the dedicated forum for install issues.

Manually update Creative Suite  6 products
Go to the Adobe.com Product updates site and choose the update you want to download.
When the download completes, start the update by double-clicking the Set-up.exe (Windows)
Prompted to shut down conflicting applications, do the following:
    Windows
Right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager.
Select the Processes tab, select a conflicting process, and click End Process.
Repeat for any additional conflicting processes.
Check to see if the update downloaded successfully.

  • My inbox/ view/ zoom in or out settings greyed out. Can't enlarge text! Thunderbird ver 31.4.0

The problem is simply, that the zoom setting is there, but greyed out and doesn't work for the inbox text.
Once I open an e-mail, the zoom works fine.
I'm using a large screen HD TV connected to the PC via HDMI with 1920X1080p resolution, which makes text small. I only have this problem with Thunderbird 31.4.0!
I've used the PC on 2 different TV's, and have the same problem. I've also gone into all the Thunderbird settings, and cannot find a fix.

    Try using a add-on like [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/theme-font-size-changer/?src=ss theme-font-size-changer]
