Satellite Pro U200 - External VGA monitor does not show any output

I have bought this device as used from ebay. It is working fine except that the External VGA connection does not work. I am using win 7 and have it does recognize the external display correctly and I can configure it as an extended display. However the external display does not show anything. The external VGA monitor is fine as it works with other Laptop machines. I have tried using UBUNTU Live CD on this machine and tried to make the external display work (and it can also recongize the external display and configure it) but there is no picture. I also connected the external display to the vga port and then re-booted the machine but still no picture. I have tried changing the bios settings for the display as well but all my actions point to a hardware fault.
I am not sure if it is a manufacturing fault ? Do you know if this issue has been reported earlier to you. Is there a product recall issued for this?
Please advise as I need to connect this external display but am sure that it is a hardware fault with your device.

Have you already tested it with factory settings? I mean the preinstalled Windows from Toshiba with all drivers and tools. If you have the Toshiba recovery disk you should boot from this disk and install Windows with all drivers and tools.
Furthermore you can switch between external and internal monitor using FN+F5 key combination. Does this work?

External Hard Drive does not show any of my movies or my music

I originally had a MacBook currently i have a MacBook Air. I'm using a Seagate external hard drive for my files. Before i transferred my files to the Air i had everything on my hard drive. I just dragged and dropped them in the external hard drive icon. And now when i plug my hard drive into my Macbook Air i see my movies, music and pictures folder but when i click on them they are blank and have nothing in them. The only files the movies have in them end in .nfo and i don't know what that means. I don't know why i can't see anything in my folders. Help please!

I am having the same problem, but on a Mini. Hard drive space is used but my old stuff is gone. I hope someone answers this for us.

Crystal report does not show any output

The client runs crystal report and on the crystal viewer no out put is retrieved. basically The page shows as gray colour. Its like as if there is no report to run. No error message is also received
However when you print the report it prints fine with all the details on the report
The user has full rights to the crystal reports folder as well
All users can run the crystal reports fine except for one user
Any possible solutions?

Monitor is not displaying any output

I have sun ultra 25 workstation with solaris 10 OS with SUN XVR-300 graphics card. my problem is that monitor is not displaying any output however monitor is fine with another workstation.
when I powered on workstation, front panel shows green light.but monitor is not showing any output. however VGA cable and monitor is OK.
I am in trouble PLZ help me ASAP.

I have also display problem, i use ibm desktop, more quite days the colour of monitor goes red. then i put some piece of paper between display jack & cpu body, then colour is ok, but when when i inserted new VGA card in mother board, when machine reboot it shows good colour of windows logos and ten the monitor display blank, i remove the VGA card, ram, cell, processor, all the cables & then restart but again no display, when i remove vga card, the monitor display no cable also blink light of monitor goes green but when i insert the wire the blink light goes yellow & one more there is no light in keyboard, when i inserted the keyboard slightly light blinks then it goes off, whereas the cpu starts smoothly.

The drive's directory is damaged and as you found Disk Utility isn't equipped to repair it. You need Disk Warrior or Tech Tool Pro.

My external hard drive does not show up on my dest top but, does shows in my Windows (vmware fusion) end although I can't see it ob my desktop but, I can eject it properly like any external drive. I have connected it to my windows and ejected properly (per the suggestion of someone on this forum) but, it still doesn't show on my Mac. I see the blue light and hear it running though. I have looked for it in disk utility but, still can find it. I have changed the cable and it still did not show on my Mac. I connected another external drive and that showed up on my desktop.Any help????

if it is NTFS then you need Paragon Software NTFS for Mac.
NTFS volumes are suppose to be read only but in practice external drives don't always mount or work.
If it is not NTFS then you need more details. Need more anyway.
PS: this is not a MacBook area, it is Mac 65lbs tower related forum.

As I know that XML Messages Alerts T-code: SXMB_NOMI shows all alerts including errors as well I put date Range: 01-01-2008 to 01-08-2008 and filters for "Errors" system does show more then 300 errors
But problem in RWB - End-to-End Monitoring, when I click on display and date range 01-01-2008 to 01-08-2008 its give me graphical overview in right of window
and shows summary:
Errors:                     0 Average
Open                  904 Maximum
Successfully Completed         0 Minimum
Overall:                  904
I thing End-to-End Monitor doesn't get data from PMI...
why does't show any errors, which is shows in SXMB_MONI
Please tell me how to resolve that problem

Hi,
A destination pointing to the Integration Server is created on the J2EE engine to collect the data for the end-to-end monitoring. If this destination is incorrect or if there are several clients in the system of the integration server, the data may be sent to the incorrect client.
This might be a reason so you can implement the correction of the destination in a manual way as follows:
Open the J2EE visual administrator.
Select the Destination service.
Select the HTTP "pmistore" destination.
Enter the URL for the ICF service spi_gate of the Integration Server in the following form "http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/spi_gate?sap-client=<xxx>", where 'host' denotes the host of the integration server, 'port' denotes the HTTP port, and xxx is the client of the Integration Server.

I have found a fix after doing additional research through this forum. Tech Note #328730 addresses this problem and it works for Photoshop Album 3.2 even though it was written for release 1.0.

When using this fix the Tech Note indicates:
"Imported image data and tags are lost when you re-create the My Catalog.psa file, so you need to reimport images and reapply any tags"
however it did retain the captions (at least it did for me).

iMovie on your Mac has nothing to do with iCloud storage. Download and use Find Any File to search for your iMovie project. FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't, like invisible folders, packages and system folders. If there a file with your file name on it anywhere on the hard drive FAF will find it.
Do you have Time Machine enabled backing up to an external HD? This situation is exactly what TM is good at. It makes hourly backups so you can go back to find and restore the missing file. All HDs crash at some time or another and having a good backup strategy is the only protection against that.

There is a hardware problem. Whether it's worth it to you to have no working phone for 2 months until you can update vs paying for replacement/repair now is a question only you can answer.
