Satellite Server update to 10.3.3 says Complete but isn't

I am in the process of upgrading from v10.3.1 to v10.3.3. The Primary Servers and done and most of the Satellite are complete (linux).
Three of the servers say "Update Completed" under the Assigned System Updates list, but the ZENworks update version is stil 10.3.1. Also, the rpm -qa listing shows everything still at v10.3.1
I have manually uninstalled and reinstalled one of these, but that results in the content-repo (35gb) being deleted, resent and several more hours of work.
Is there a way to clear the bogus Update Complete so that I can redeploy?
Thanks.

For what it's worth we never did resolve the issue. Thanks to Novell tech support we arrived at another alternative.
Instead we manually upgraded the Satellites using the zenupdaer command. This allowed me to preserve the content-repo (35gb) at the sites.
1. Review the update_commands.xml from a successful server (in /var/opt/novell/log/zenworks/system-update/<GUID>) Copy the RPM folders (in my case) in the script (ZMD/ZENcache) to the other server using SCP or whatever.
2. Copy the update_commands.xml to the other server. Remove the <GUID> in the /var/opt/novell/zenworks/work/system-update/updates-completed file.
3. zenupdater -v -c /var/opt/novell/log/zenworks/<GUID>/update_commands.xml

how do i reload OS X Server on Mac Mini, App store says installed but no reset or reload, system tells me to reinstall?

Reboot holding down the Command and R keys.  This will get you in to the Recovery partition.  From there you can reinstall the entire OS.  Please note, Server.app will not be included in the reinstall.  You will need to log into your App store account to download it.

  • I try to sync my nano - says "completed", but songs do not get transferred!

I have done a complete restore and tried to sync - still it says sync completed, but I still don't have any songs!

This Apple knowledge-base article may help address that issue.
    Strange iPod behaviour.

  • Sync says complete but doesn't copy anything

I have more music than space on my iPod nano so I've been using the "Sync only ticked songs and videos" option. But when I add new music to iTunes in tries to sync every time I open iTunes and if there isn't enough space it just tries to copy what it can, which is a pain. I've selected "Prevent iPods and iPhones syncing automatically" under Devices in Preferences but that doesn't seem to do anything.
I read that selecting "Manually manage music and videos" would stop it syncing automatically so I selected this. But this disables "Sync only ticked songs and videos" and I'm assuming the only way to get songs on my iPod is by dragging and dropping, which isn't really very practical when you've got nearly 5,000 of them. So I deselected "Manually manage...".
At some point, everything on my iPod got wiped. I've tried syncing and it says it's completed but there's still nothing on the iPod. I thought it might be because "Enable disk use" got automatically selected when I selected "Manually manage..." but turning this off doesn't help. I click Sync and straight away it tells me it's synced but still no music on the iPod.
Sorry for the essay, but thought I should give as much info as possible. I'd be really grateful if anyone could tell me how to fix this.
    Thanks... Wilona

    Hi, welcome to Apple Discussions.
Glad you got sorted, but it might be worth clarifying a few things.
*Prevent iPods and iPhones syncing automatically* changes the behaviour when you connect your iPod if it is also set to sync automatically. When this option is checked you have an opportunity to change your selections before clicking a button to begin syncing. If this option is unchecked and your iPod is set up to sync then it will do so as soon as you connect it. In manually manage mode this option has no effect.
If your device is smaller than your library and you've not opted to sync with selected playlists then it will fill up with the oldest checked entries in your library and then stop. Subsequent sync operations will be unable to add any more data.
When you switch to manual manage from automatic all the content currently on the iPod will remain until you actively delete some of it to make room for something else.
You don't have to work with single files when dragging & dropping or selecting items to delete. You can use SHIFT & CTRL to specify ranges and add or remove individual items from the range. With the browser active you can also drag albums, artists, genres etc.
A good way to get started would be to create a smart playlist, called soemthing like "Sync List" or "My Tunes", with the rules *Playlist is Music* and *Limit to X Gb selected by most recently added*. Where X is a bit less than the capacity of your iPod. Then set your iPod to sync with that. This will ensure your most recent additions get included. You can improve things by creating regular playlists called "Essentials" and "Exclude". Modify the first playlist so that it becomes *Playlist is Music AND Playlist is not Exclude, Limit to...* and sync both this and the "Essentials" playlist to your iPod.

  • IPhoto 9.4.2 update completes but isn't recognized by app store

I have a macbook pro running OS X 10.8.2. After successfully installing the latest iPhoto update, the app store still thinks the update isn't installed. Within app store update page, there's one update t install, iPhoto 9.4.2 is listed but then to the right shows "installed." Thanks for any insight to this. Maybe it's a non-issue. I've forced quit iPhoto and rebooted.

I have the same thing going on, and it's kind of annoying, mostly due to the badge on the Mac App Store application in my dock that won't go away, and says 1 available update even though there is not. I killed a bunch of caches and plist files and rebooted, no luck.

    Hi dj,
Numbers '09 is still on your computer. In a folder called 'Work '09 inside your Applications folder. If you can't find it, use Spotlight to search.
This might get you by until your problem is solved.

  • Why won't PS CC2014 find Adobe Flashplayer to view tutorials?  Have downloaded & installed several times.  Says complete, but won't open tutorials.  Help!

Can't view tutorials because msj is that I need Adobe Flashplayer.  I've downloaded and installed it several times.

Perhaps you've downloaded the wrong one. Do you use Internet Explorer as your browser? Is there a specific link in the message that you follow?

  • Adobe Flash-says installed, but isn't???

    1. I downloaded and installed Adobe Flash, got message that it was successful, I now had Adobe Flash, BUT nothing needing flash works, so I checked all programs & Adobe Flash is NOT listed; so I checked Control Room>Uninstall-and Adobe Flash is listed but shows 0 memory under size.
2 So I uninstalled it, and returned to website, repeated download and install of Adobe Flash. Same thing.
    3.Rebooted and repeated 1 & 2, same results.
    4. When I installed, all 3 times, got error message that I needed to close internet explorer, which I did but still got error message. Kept clicking Retry, finally got past that, install looked like it went well, %'s went to 100%, said complete, I clicked finish.

  • The mail server Update:  Says it can't be installed on my OSX 10.3.9 harddr

Why wouldn't I be able to install the mail server update for OSX 10.3.9 on my harddrive which is also an OSX 10.3.9? It tells me the volume does not meet the requirements for this update! I just completed the OSX 10.3.9 update installations with no problem. The mail update installation program says: The Mail Server Update delivers overall improved reliability and is recommended for all systems running mail services on Mac OS X Server version 10.3.9.

You are running the client version of Mac OS X, and that update will only install on Mac OS X Server systems; the changes it makes are only relevant to Mac OS X Server, so you won't get any benefit out of installing it anyway.

We were able to fix our machine!  I just could not make sense of the error message, so we were trying non-Microsoft, non-Apple solutions.
Our Solution:  Install MalWareBytes, and run a Quick Scan.
Even thought both Microsoft anti-virus and Defender were running on our Windows 8 machine, MalWareBytes found about 100 problems.  As I looked over the types of problem and locations, I found several that referenced the exact directory referenced in this message.  The machine had to be restarted for MalWareBytes to complete the cleaning, but iTunes installed afterwards with no problems.
    Thank you MalWareBytes!
