Satellite Systems - How far back can SolMan 4.0 go ?
Hi,
Can you please let me know the SAP Note which talks about the BASIS Release requirements of Satellite Systems, in order for SolMan 4.0 to be connected to them ?
I came across SAP Note 661949 - Solution Manager Component systems with Basis Release 4.6B which mentions a few facts, but I am still not clear.
In other words, if someone would like to make use of SolMan to connect to very old SAP systems (3.1H or I for instance), is it still feasible? If so, does it go by Scenario of SolMan to be implemented.
Is it a case where, for Implementation Scenario, Basis Release 4.6B is required whereas for Service Desk, it can go lower (?)
Any pointers will be gratefully acknowledged.
Thanks.
Srini
Hi Ruben,
Thanks for your reply. I was already in that section, somehow, this information was not very clear from Config Guides since it differed by Scenario.
It confirms the data I have tried to compile from a Config Guide PDF and SAP Note:
Satellite System's Requirements for Implementation scenario, using SolMan 4.0, as of SP15
Satellite Systems (Basis Release)
4.6C: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 56 (SP 58, if ChaRM is required)
4.6D: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 29 (SP42, -
6.10: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 18 (SP43, -
6.20: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 00 (SP51, -
6.40: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 00 (SP12, -
7.00: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 00 (SP06, -
Also, for those with SolMan SP below 15, SAP Note 907768 mentions a few other SP levels required in Satellite Systems.
Many thanks again.
Best wishes,
Srini

How Far Back Oracle Keep AWR Reports
Hello,
A quick question:
Does anyone know how far back Oracle retain AWR reports in the database? Is this something that we can customize? If it is, can someone offer some insights?
Thanks! The default settings for 'interval' and 'retention' are (60 min and 7 days respectively),
Sample modification using,
execute dbms_workload_repository.modify_snapshot_settings(interval => 120,retention => 20160);
the parameter value is in minutes.

How far back does spotlight go to search sms.
Does anyone know how far back spotlight will search for sms? Does it find sms from 6 or 7 months ago or does it only show more recent and if so any idea how recent. Does this differ in older phones or older IOS's.
Seems so, per my post at http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2044448&tstart=0. Can't believe such a f*up.

<Edited By Host>The OS 10.6 Snow Leopard install DVD is available for $19.99 from the Apple Store:
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
and in the UK:
http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
When you have installed it, run Software Update to download and install the latest updates for Snow Leopard to bring it up to 10.6.8, or download the combo update from here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
Check via Software Update whether further updates are required.
You should now see the App Store icon in iTunes, and you now need to set up your account:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4479
To use iCloud you have to upgrade at least to Lion, but some functions are only available in Mountain Lion:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4759
You can also purchase the code to use to download Lion (Lion requires an Intel-based Mac with a Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor and 2GB of RAM, running the latest version of Snow Leopard), or you can purchase Mountain Lion from the App Store - if you can run that:

How far back do old phone bills go?
I know that you can view your bill online for up to 18 months and that you can order copies older than that for $5 a month. But how far back do they go? And do they show the same information that current or more recent bills do? I'm specifically looking for text usage details.
Hello nealn09, you pose an excellent question! The bill reprints for $5 can go as far back as 7 years. The details that show on the bill are the same summary on a regular most recent bill. The messaging details on the bill reprint will only show the summary for how many sent & received. To request full verbatim from messaging, they would have to be requested from an attorney through court order.

How far back does Time Machine back up?
How far back does Time Machine back up? Thanks.
Thanks Kappy and Tech Guy. I'll try and digest that info--it may take awhile!
Just for info, I am using a Lacie d2 500 GB, presently it has used 263 of the 500.
It is presently backed up until January 2010 which must be the date I hooked into Time Machine. I have a 1TB iOmega which I am thinking of using for the back up drive but feel the Lacie may be the better of the two so may leave it on.
Thanks again. Cheers. -

CATS Screen how far we can Scroll back
hi All,
When you display or maintain the time sheet, you can change the data entry period using a scroll function. You can specify how far users are allowed to scroll.
The Lower limit relative field determines how many times users can scroll back, taking into account the number of periods you have entered in the Periods field.
Currently we are scrolling back 3 periods. we want to increase the number to 52 periods.SAP recommending use low number. Can we go upto 52 periods?(we have weekly time entry)
Thanks in advance. As such there are no restriction on the upper limit, but if u read the sap documentation the higher value in the Upper limit relative field can slow down system performace, as the number of records that the system must read from the database is also higher.
it says for Weekly data entry with 2 periods. if u have set the Upper limit relative to 2.In this case, users can scroll up to four weeks beyond the end date of the data entry period.

We checked in SMSY it is still showing BI 7.0, we have also done option " Read data from system " but it did not work.

Shivam MittalHi Shivam Mittal
When you clicked in "Read system Data Remote", were the information returned with success in the logs ?
Usually the informations aren't pushed because the READ Rfc's are failing.
If you run job LANDSCAPE FETCH, the information are being collected correctly ? -

According to:
http://www.apple.com/au/airportexpress/

Will you be using all N devices? G?, B? or a combination? -
How far back is the MBP screen supposed to tilt back?
I just took my new MBP to the genius bar and they had to open it up. But now it feels like the screen tilts too far back. I don't remember how far it use to go before I took it and I would hate to take it again for nothing so I wanted to know if this is normal. It's about a 160 degree angle.
Thanks! That's just as far as I thought it used to go before, now it's a 160'. I'm going to take it to the genius bar today. Just have to figure out how to back it up.

How far back is the screen supposed to push back?
I feel like it never used to be this far back at this angle. Is anyone else having this problem or is it supposed to go back this far? it's like at an 160 degree angle.. as far back as I can push it.
Hi Insomnia: It's kind of difficult to see exactly from the picture, but I would say it is going back further than my MacBook Pro. Looks pretty much the same as all MacBooks or Pros I've seen.
