Satellite Z830 - Remove/change single keys from keyboard

Hi,
some keys on the keyboard of my Z830 keyboard became sticky over time.
Is it possible to remove single keys, try to clean it and put the key back in, or is the key glued?
I wouldn't want to replace the whole keyboard, as most of the keys still work fine.

Keyboard keys are not glued and keyboard caps can be removed. It was extremely easy on older keyboards and I have done it many times.
I don't have experience with new keyboards but the principle should be the same.
Take some flat plastic and try to remove keycap but be very gently.
I think you are the first one with this question so it will be very nice if you can post some feedback or short instruction how it can be done.

I'm a new member and I'm actually trying to work with garage band to record voice and playback. Can "logic express" Vs. 8.0 slow down or change the key from playbacks like the program "Amazing slowdowner"? This is a programm wich costs 50 US Dollar and I want to decide if i buy it or not.
What is the hgreatest different between "garage band" and logic express 8.0? Who can hepl me, which is the right thing for me. I find it difficult to find out which effects are the best only to record my voice with playback.

If you want to slow down the audio why not download a program from ABRSM called Speedshifter- its free and is very good. you could export the audio from Logic and open the MP3 file with speed shifter. I think speedshifter may also have the ability to alter the pitch as well. I use it for Flute practice- its very useful !

Problem while capturing keys from keyboard .

hello abapers,
i am trying to catch my enter key from keyboard coz i want run some code when user will press enter.
i think sy-ucomm will capture the key pressed, if i am wrong then plz correct me.
(1) with this assumption i tried running bdc for my screen and tried to get the bdc_okcode value which is /00
i passed this value to sy-ucomm in my abap prog but it didnt worked
(2) i tried writting /h in command window it oppend the debugging window but the value for sy-ucomm was blank
if any one of you is able to correct me it would be of great help to me plz its .....

SET PF-STATUS 'STATUS'.
code. At Standard Toolbar part of the pf-status , set OK CODE for first item (green) to 'ENTER'.
When user hits enter , sy-ucomm will be ENTER.
This is for screen processing .

What characters are you talking about exactly and why would you want to remove any?
There is really no way to modify Apple's keyboards or add your own in iOS, but there are some apps that may provide a work around.

How to move/remove/change RSS-button location from next to refresh sign as I'm wasting alot of time everytime when trying to hit that refresh button?
I know I can use keyboard to refresh a webpage, but I really like the easy to use stop/refresh button a-la Firefox (after combining them) in the left side next to the "previous/next page" buttons, and I really hate that RSS appearing on all those websites which provides RSS. I don't use RSS and I don't want to see it when browsing and using Safari.
I hope there is a way to doing that, otherwise I have no choice but switching back to Firefox..

but the "debug" menu doesn't appear after running "defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1" command in terminal. I have Safari 4.0.4
But the idea is great: now I only want to disable RSS.

N82 - How to remove a single event from LOG

Hi
N82 has a strong loging system, all events will log, but it is not interesting when you dont want your wife read your mobile logs :-D
There is an option to remove all log entries but who can I only remove one event entry from the global log report ?
usually in all systems when u highlight an entery you can press "C" key to remove it, but there isnot such option i have just one option to remove all !!!?

From the interface, you can't. At try with my n95 many times but no luck.

I used my TechNet key to prove if 2012 would work for an NFS backup target. I don't believe I've even activated it yet. It seems to work fine, and now I plan to approach the customer to buy a license for 2012 Standard (2VM license). Can

Changing modifier keys in keyboard preference pane has no effect

I use a standard "windows" usb external keyboard. In 10.5 you could remap the "Command" and "Option" keys to match the "Mac" layout. In 10.6 the preference pane is still available, but no matter how you change the pop-up menus the keyboard layout is not changed. See http://iamwa.de/45

@mtrichardson: THANK YOU!!! I've been having problems my modifier keys for months, and was using the section of the modifiers that affected ALL keyboards to swap the modifier keys. That section was apparently removed in snow leopard which left me high and dry until I saw your post. I tried unplugging the mouse and THEN configuring the USB keyboard, and that did the trick!
Mouse is a logitech mx revolution, which I love, but it apparently causes some strange side effects. I should never have installed Logitech's drivers.

Change product key from cloned PC

I have cloned a PC and I do want to legally license the clone with a new Visual Studio Professional 2013 package. I can not find how to change the product key. I have tried uninstalling and installing and it never asked for the product key as
if it is still in the registry. Any thoughts on either updating the key or removing it so that it lets me input the key?

Having problme in JTable, when I press TAB key from KeyBoard

Hi All,
I believe I could get the solution here,
We have desinged small Swings application, which is contains a JTable to get some order values from the end users.
After we enter the values in the first column, when we press tab it's not moving to next column. and also the pointer again goes back to first column.
This problem we are facing in only 2 PC's out of 15.
If something problem with the code, I should affect in all the PC, Since it's affected in only 2 PC's It's makes puzzle on the issue.
I greatly appreciate if someone advice the solution.

Sounds that Windows thinks that the Alt key is (still) pressed.
Does it help if you press all status keys (Shift, Ctrl, Alt) a few times?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Remove list of fonts from keyboard preferences

i am using mac mini os x version 10.8.2.
i have installed some fonts.
now i have uninstalled them from font book.
STILL the names of fonts show in the "input sources" tab of the "languages and text".
Is there any way to remove the names of the fonts from the input souces tab?
The names of the fonts are
Unijoy
Bangla-Ankur
Rupali
these are Bengali language fonts.
If yes,show me how.

Things you find in "input sources" are not fonts. They are keyboard layouts. If you want to remove them, you need to look in home/library/keyboard layouts and library/keyboard layouts.
It really doesn't matter if you leave them where they are. Keyboard layouts don't do anything unless you check the box for them and then select them from the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen.

Can we change Depreciation key from activate mode to deactivate mode

I have created one depreciation key and status is activated. After I don't want to use the depreciation key, can I deactivate the status of depreciation key or not.

I dont think depreciation can be deactivated again once activated.
But you can delete it if it has not been assigned to any asset.
If it has been assigned, then change the depreciation key in all those assets and then delete the key which is not being used.

Satellite L100-113 - Changing BIOS without a keyboard

My keyboard is not working. The easy answer for the moment would be to use a USB keyboard, except that option is disabled in the BIOS.
Is there any way to change or reset the BIOS without a keyboard?

Try to boot the Windows OS and start the Toshiba Assist.
There you can find the Toshiba HWSetup. This tool contains some options which could be changed in BIOS too.
So I think there could be a option which enables the USB keyboard support.
I think this should be possible using the USB mouse.
