Notebook: Satellite Z930-130

Hi
After Windows 8.1 installation, you have to install the Toshiba Windows 8.1 drivers in the right installation order!!!!
I recommend you to check the thread posted by Francesco about Win 8.1 upgrade.
[--- Windows 8.1 update - information page -- -- -- IMPORTANT ! -- -- |http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=73691]
Furthermore visit the Toshiba EU driver page where the Win 8.1 drivers could be downloaded.
There you can find the installation instruction which should be followed!!

Same here on my S4. When installing the driver it asks me to plug in my device...
The stack itself seems to be working, tough. Bluetooth ca now be activated in Config Free.
Also there are two unknown devices in my device manager. The location for both is Intel(R) 82801GBM (ICH7-M) LPC Interface Controller - 27B9.
And both show under Details->Function CM_DEVCAP_SILENTINSTALL

  • Bluetooth disappeared completely

i upgraded to tiger about 8 months ago, and never used bluetooth, honestly, didn't even know what it was. i went to try to use it a few days ago with my treo, and it isn't there. nothing at all. i tried to reinstall tiger with archive and install and it's still not there. how can i get my bluetooth back? am i doing something wrong, or is there something i'm not even doing that i should be?
    thanks!

    Hello tietie:
    Welcome to Apple discussions.
I am not trying to be funny, but are you sure you have a Bluetooth module installed on your computer? Current Apples ship with BT installed, but earlier versions did not (it was an option).
If you have no internal BT module (check your system profiler), you can add a USB external BT device if you wish (check the Apple store for ones that work)

  • Satellite P750: Unable to install Bluetooth Stack driver on Windows 7 (x64)

    Hello.
    I own a *Satellite P750-02T* (Part no. *PSAY3A-02T001*).
In the order what I did:
    1) I formatted its HDD and reinstalled OS to *Windows 7 x64 Ultimate SP1*.
Then I downloaded *ONLY BIOS and the drivers* from [its Downloads page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] :
    2) I updated its BIOS to *v1.90* (the laptop came with v1.80)
    3) I installed all the drivers:
    - both LAN and WiFi
    - Intel Chipset (latest available)
    - all video drivers (Intel HD Graphics, NVIDIA Graphics, and Intel HDMI)
    - Card Reader
    - Realtek HD Audio (latest)
    - Synaptics Touchpad
    - USB3.0
    - IR
    - TV-Tuner
However, I'm *unable to install the Bluetooth driver (v8.00.06(T)* )...
When I run setup from the [above-mentioned page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] it partially detects *'Bluetooth USB Controller-10 from TOSHIBA'* (USB\VID_0930&PID_0215&REV_001)
and then installation simply freezes displaying +'Installing the Bluetooth Driver. Please wait+.' and stays like that forever...
I also tried downloading a driver from [another location|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download-toshiba] for TOSHIBA notebooks - v8.00.02(T):
and followed installation instructions displayed under 'Details'
but there was the same outcome - the setup simply freezes...
Installing Hotfix (*KB978258*) recommended there didn't work either - the message '+The update is not applicable to your computer+' pops up.
And I understand why - this Hotfix is [already included|http://download.microsoft.com/download/E/B/A/EBA55FE2-373A-4351-9346-6D762B79AA69/Updates%20in%20Win7%20and%20WS08R2%20SP1.xls] into Service Pack 1 for MS Windows 7.
I spent hours searching on the Internet for a solution. Although there were some similar cases none of the recommendations actually worked. I tried installing:
    - WiFi driver before installing Bluetooth (someone suggested that those two are the parts of the same card);
    - resuming installation in Safe Mode;
    - *Toshiba Value Added Package* hoping those tools somehow will kick in.
    Nothing worked...
It's interesting that when for the sake of experiment I tried to run installation for my generic Bluetooth adapter (using the driver [for non-TOSHIBA notebooks|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download]) then everything run smoothly!
*Using Bluetooth connection on this laptop is very crucial for me.*
I hope I shall not have to return this wonderful notebook as I know TOSHIBA is one of the best manufactures and am sure there is a solution to this problem.
    Thank you very much.
    Evgeny.

clarified about using another generic Bluetooth adapter with non-TOSHIBA driver

For FN functionality you must install Toshba Value added package. Toshiba flash cards utility is part of this package.
I dont know if P750 has WLAN switch but before you start BT installation be sure WLAN LED is ON.

  • Satellite Pro P100 (PSPA4E) - No Sound Following Win 7 Clean Install

Hello, A European friend really struggling and looking for help.
I have just clean installed Win 7 Home Premium (64 bit) on a Satellite Pro P100 (PSPA4E) which was purchased in November 2006. It was previously running XP and I never installed Vista though the laptop is badged Vista Capable) I followed the Win 7 bios/driver/software install order but I now have no sound at all. Everything that I have tried so far has failed to fix it.
The laptop has a Conexant based audio solution with harman kardon speakers. Win 7 has installed the following driver which reports the following info.
High Definition Audio Device (Microsoft Driver version 6.1.7601.17514 dated 11/19/2010) and Device status: This device cannot start. (Code 10)
    Hardware IDs:
    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5047&SUBSYS_1179FF31&REV_1000 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5047&SUBSYS_1179FF31
There is a second exclamation mark in Device Manager for a further unknown device / uninstalled driver (showing code 28) for a device with a Hardware ID of ACPI\SMCB000 but I do not know what this device is!
Does anyone have any suggestions on a fix for my sound issue?
    Thanks!
    Martyn

Any one have any thoughts on this issue?
I have failed to locate a working / compatible Windows 7 x64 driver for Conexant HD Audio!
    Perhaps there isn't one?
Perhaps I need to try harder?!?
Perhaps the on board sound solution featuring Conexant HD Audio is simply ****** as on www.conexant.com they say manufacturers have TOLD them NOT to make drivers available (... to poor unfortunate users)!!!
I think that manufacturers need to step up to the plate and support / help their customers.  I own 4 Satellite Pro laptops running Vista x32 and Windows 7 x64. This one cost me well over £1,200 so I don't want to hear or conclude that it is simply scrap!  That would represent truly poor value for money - the kind of business case that would undermine my belief that Toshiba laptops are the best in the business.
Ditto Microsoft - the Windows 7 x64 Upgrade Advisor tool gave me the all clear to upgrade this system.  All generally appears fine EXCEPT the lack of sound.
Having now been exposed to the experience of many other laptop owners set out in various forums etc, covering both Toshiba laptops and some other major brands, I have to conclude that the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor is flawed and that a successful upgrade is somewhat hit and miss affair.  Beware!
That said, still hopeful that someone out there will be able to help me fix this issue?
    Regards

P.S.  I can be reached by any Toshiba or Microsoft technical support guru looking to make a difference and help me out.

  • Satellite L655-145 cannot install bluetooth stack

Cannot install bluetooth stack. Setup programm just freeze. All other drivers installed successfuly. Device manager show only Bluetooth ACPI device. This problem appeared after updating BIOS from original version 1.80 to older (1.80->1.90->2.10->2.20). Downgrade to 1.80 take no effect.
PS. Sorry for my bad english.

    Hi
As far as I know the notebook is equipped with an WIFI and Bluetooth combo card!
This means that Wlan and BT functionality is controlled by one card.
If you downgraded the BIOS (dont know why) please set this to default firstly.
Save the changes and reboot the notebook.
Then download the BT stack from Toshiba BT portal.
Enable the BT (FN+F8) and then start the BT stack installation once again.

  • Satellite U300-130 - TosBtMng has stopped working after Nokia PC Suite installation

I've got the same problem too... with Toshiba Satellite U300-130.
Bluetooth had worked pretty well before I installed Nokia PC Suite for my mobile on my PC (the newest version 7.1.26.0 from website).
To be correct, at first I even managed to maintain a Bluetooth connection between PC and Nokia and ran syncronisation of contacts. I made several attempts but each time syncronisation run ended with message "PC coudn't get answer from your Nokia".
After rebooting, my PC went crazy and started issuing message "TosBtMng has stopped working" and it restarted every time I ask it to close.
Installation of new version of BT Stack (6.40) didn't fix this error.
    Please help

    Hi there
I answered an existing thread with the same problem, but no-one can help apparently.
Anyway,,, I can at least help you with getting rid of the looping setup. You need to rename the directory with the Toshiba bluetooth stack.
I also have Nokia syncing and it worked fine until recently. - I have to say I think the problem relates to a Windows auto upgrade.
How to solve this is a different matter. At this moment I have given up. The Toshiba bluetooth stack disabled.

  • Satellite Z930 - Cannot write on USB Stick

I have a Problem to write any file on any USB Stick on any USB port on my Satellite Z930 with Windows 8: When I try to write a file on the USB Stick the Explorer will just freeze and not react anymore.
When reading from the same USB stick everything is fine. There is no write protection on the USB sticks (I have tried many).
However when connecting a USB hard disk there is no Problem to write information on the hard disk.
I hope somebody could help me to solve this mysterious Problem...

I dont think its Windows Explorer issue since its working in connection with another devices and processes Somehow the writing on this USB flash memory needs to long and this is the reason why explorer does not responds Its difficult to say whats cause this
Did you try to update the USB 3.0 driver?
On the Toshiba EU driver page you will find Win 7 USB Driver 3.0
Even if you are using Win 8, try to install this driver.

support for your computer is here
this appears to be a discontinued EU model.  This site is support for US models only.  Although you are welcome to post here, you may find more relevant responces at the appropriate regional Toshiba support forum.
Has the webcam ever worked?  If so, you may want to try and restore to a point in time when the device worked.  If the device never worked, I would suggest contacting Toshiba EU support and see what they can suggest.

  • Windows 8.1 "PlayTo" protocol issues with Satellite Z930-12Q

    Hi,
I've bought my Toshiba Satellite Z930 more than a year ago. I quickly realise than I didn't had much network possibilities than before with older windows such as the possibility to create a wifi network. Never more...
And recently I had an update on my internet Box allowing me to use the "Play To" system of windows. GREAT ! I tried to use it but it didn't work. I first thought that it was my box that was malfunctioning but with another PC it works well !!
So I'm starting to wonder if their is a network issue on my computer ? Or maybe, is the windows installed version is a light one ?
Does anyone knows anything about it ?

    >So why am I the only one in France that can't use the Windows "PlayTo" protocol on my internet access box (freebox) connected to my TV?
The Play To streaming function within Windows 8 has been designed and added by Microsoft.
I think you should refer this question to the Microsoft people and additionally to the Freebox support since this question isnt related to the notebook.
From my knowledge the Play To protocol in Windows 8 is designed to work with _Windows certified_ Play To devices. In case your freebox isnt certified by Microsoft, the Play to will not work.
I recommend you checking the Microsoft Blog artickle about enabling [great Play To experiences from your Windows 8 apps (and websites!)|http://blogs.msdn.com/b/windowsappdev/archive/2012/11/16/enabling-great-play-to-experiences-from-your-windows-8-apps-and-websites.aspx]
