Sava all related files

Good evening,
The question is: how can i save all my files included images and javascripts in one folder.
I know and see that there is a option sava all related files, but this option is gray (so i cant activate this option)
I guess that this will save exectly what i want or perhaps most of my whises.
But how come that this option is gray and how cant i resolve this problem, so i can use this option?
I hope that some one could help me out with this one, cause i am not the brightest in dreamweaver.
Cause is Indesign you would just activate save as package and done.
Kind regards and already many thanks.

Your question is a bit confusing.
Is it that you have a site with files in various locations within the root, and now you want to save all those files within the same folder?  Why?  And if you do want to do this, I suppose you want to do it so that the links to the files would still work, right?
In DW's File panel, you could just one-by-one drag and drop all your files into a single folder - that will preserve the linkages between these files.
The save all related files function will only save the files back to the location they were in when you created the link.
But I have a strong suspicion that we are not talking about the same thing....

  • Can't save-All-relative files and don't see check_cs5.css under tab index.html

    after closing check_cs5.css in the second tutorial I was suppose to get two tabs (source and check_cs5.css) which I could click on (underneath the index.html document tab). I don't see these. I can't get both the Design window AND the check_CS5.css code window. I only get the code for index.html and the design window. For some reason when I was suppose to save "all-relative-files" ... that was grayed out so I "saved ALL". I don't know why that was but it probably had something to do with the problem I just mentioned. This occurred near the end of tutorial 2 of the beginner tutorial.

    How do I save all mp3 files as an attachable audio file in text messaging on a G'z One Commando? Some mp3 save as these types of files but I don't how or what I do differently.

    In summary, it sounds to me as though the Mac concept of "hidden extension per file" isn't embraced at all by Photoshop.
    So assuming the extension is always visible, what is the easiest way do each of the following (ignoring issues with integration with other apps):
    1.  Save a JPEG as:  abc.jpg
    2.  Save a JPEG as:  abc
    3.  Save a JPEG as:  abc.
    4.  Save a JPEG as:  abc.xxx
    Since it seems to me we still haven't nailed down whether there's a disparity between how this works on Photoshop for Mac vs. PC, I'll answer the above questions for PC:
    1.  File - Save As, choose Format: JPEG, type (replace filename with):  abc
    2.  No difference than 3 on a PC.
    3.  File - Save As, choose Format: JPEG, type:  abc.
    4.  File - Save As, choose Format: JPEG, type:  abc.xxx
    How is it different from the above on a Mac?
    Is there something more complex, such as the sequence of operations, or another system setting, that I didn't cover here?  I normally always keep Explorer set so that file extensions are visible (it's global on a PC).

  • Save all Open Files in CS4?

    Hi all,
    Looking for a script that will save all open files as a a JPG to a specific directory.  I tried using this in CS4 but it doesnt work.  It just opens the save dialog and thats it.  Want something a bit more automated:
    var tempFolder = new Folder ("C:/Your_Temporary_Folder")
    tempFolder.create();
    var DL = documents.length;
    for(a=1;a<=DL;a++){
       activeDocument = documents[a-1];
       var AD=activeDocument;
       var imgName= AD.name;
       imgName = imgName.substr(0, imgName.length -4);
       AD.flatten();
       saveFile = new File("C:/Your_Temporary_Folder/"+imgName+".jpg");
       saveOptions = new JPEGSaveOptions();
       saveOptions.embedColorProfile = true;
       saveOptions.formatOptions = FormatOptions.STANDARDBASELINE;
       saveOptions.matte = MatteType.NONE;
       saveOptions.quality = 12;
       AD.saveAs(saveFile, saveOptions, true,Extension.LOWERCASE);
    Thanks.

    Hi guys,
    That fixed it.  The other problem was that the name length was too short:
       imgName = imgName.substr(0, imgName.length -0);
    So I corrected that as well.  Thanks for your help.
    Is it possible to add a "close without prompting to save" in the script?  So it basically saves the file then closes the window in PS without prompting me to save it again?

  • How to save all open files IE like a shortcut or alias to them.

    Hi everyone,
    I know there must be a way to do this in Dreamweaver, but I
    can't find it.
    When I am working on a series of pages (for example, 3 or 4
    pages with a bunch of include pages) and I want to save a shortcut
    or alias that would re-open them all for me (like the "Bookmark All
    Tabs" option in Firefox that will save all the open tabs so you can
    open them all at once later).
    This will save a TON of time, instead of me writing down
    every single page name, and then, opening them all by hand later.
    I know you can use the Site Navigation, to see the files, but
    that runs sooooo slooooowwwww.
    I appreciate the help in advance,

  • How do I remove Safari including all related files on a Mac?

    Hi,
    How do I completely remove Safari, including perferences and other related files?
    I want to do a fresh re-install of Safari.
    I downloaded Safari from the Internet so I got the software to install.
    However installing it on top of my old Safari installation does not resolve the specific issue I have with Safari.
    In other words, reinstalling doesn't help as the problem carries over in some way.
    It's worth nothing that I don't have the issue on any of my other macs. Just on the iMac and I want to get back to a situation where the iMac works as before the issue occured.
    Already tried to empty cache and following some other advice that might be causing the issue I have. All to no avail.
    So now I want to completely remove Safari so I'm sure nothing caries over from before the re-install.
    How to do that?

    Removing Safari won't help. and since you've tried reinstalling and that didn't help... try some troubleshooting.
    Login to another user account on your Mac. Try Safari there. Same issues there, then it's possible the startup disk needs repairing. Help here.   http://support.apple.com/error/503.html?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US
    (The support pages are down for a bit but should be up soon). If the startup disk needs repairing, follow the instructions at that link when it's available.
    If Safari is ok in another account then at least you know it's not a system wide issue.
    Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file. Quit Safari if it's open.
    Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder. Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Open Safari. If it functions as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash. If not, move it back to the Preferences folder.
    Next, check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. Turn that off if you have any installed, then try Safari.
    Next.. try resetting Safari. From the menu bar click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset.

  • I need to save all my files in itunes to mp3 or wav but itunes wont let me!

    hiya!

    Sorry, but tracks purchased from the iTunes Store are copy-protected (except in the case of iTunes Plus tracks) and cannot be converted to another format. All you can do is burn them audio CD or, of course, back them up to a data disk.

  • HT201250 I have 2 Lacie external drives connected to a Windows PC.  What is the best scenario for backing up files on both computers?  I would like to save all my files on one backup drive and have Time Machine backup that external drive to the other.

    I don't know if this is a good idea, because the external drive is going to be slower than using my local hard drive to open files from.  My IMac has 1tb and the 2 external drives have 1tb each.  The IMac is my computer and my Wife uses the Windows PC, so I have to make sure both of our files are backed up.  Thanks in advance for any advice regarding this issue.

    I'm in a similar situation including movies I've purchased from iTunes...
    Here's my setup:
    I have all my iTunes data (music, movies, etc.) as well as about 10 GB of photos stored on a nework storage device that uses RAID-5 with SATA disks. This is basically a little toaster-sized NAS machine with four hard drives in it (www.infrant.com). If one of these drives dies, I get alerted and can insert a new one without missing a beat since the data is stored redundantly across all drives. I can also just yank out any one of the four drives while the thing is running and my data is still safe (I tried this after I bought it as a test).
    That's how I prevent problems with a single disk... Redundancy
    Now onto "backups"...
    Nightly, my little RAID toaster automatically backs itself up to an attached 250GB USB drive. However, these backups are only of my critical data... documents, photos and home movies... I don't bother backing up my "Hollywood" movies since I can live without them in a disaster.
    ... I actually don't permanently store anything I care about on a laptop or a desktop. It all goes on the NAS box (Network Sttached Storage) and then my other computers use it as a network drive. It's attached via Gigbait to my main computer and via wireless to most everything else.
    My achilles heel is that I don't store anything outside of my house yet. If I was smart, I'd alternate two USB drives attached to my NAS box and always keep one of them somewhere else (Safe Deposit Box?).
    ...and that's just one way to do it.

  • How to configure Mail software to store all related files on the network

    I know that Mail software stores all files in Library/Mail under my home directory. Since I have a MacBook Air (with lesser disk space than other Macs), I'm trying to see if I can get the Mail software to read/write files to a network folder instead of Library/Mail. I have done the same with iPhoto in that it looks at the library file from the network and not the local disk. Any ideas of this can be done for the Mail software? Or if this is advisable?

    you can do it but I'm not sure if it's advisable. You'd have to test and see how well it works. also, the network drive has to be mounted at all times when you are using Mail, otherwise Mail will crash.
    quit Mail. Mount the remote volume. copy the directory homedirectory/Library/Mail to the remote volume and trash the original.
    then open terminal and do the following.
    type
    ln -s
    do not press enter yet. press space and drag the copied directory from the remote volume to the terminal window. press space again and type
    ~/Library
    the result should look something like this
    ln -s /Volumes/remote-drivename/Mail ~/Library
    Press enter in terminal. This will create a symbolic link (it will look like an alias in Finder) to the new location of the Mail folder. Now when you start Mail it should behave normally. In case of problems, quit Mail, delete the symbolic link and move the folder back.

  • I have an iMac which I had loaded Parallels and Windows 7.  I recently uninstalled both programs. How can I delete all related files?  Is there a program that will find related files and delete them?

    I have an iMac on which I had installed Parallels and Windows 7 so I could some of the creativity software I was used to. I recently uninstalled both Parallels and Windows. How can I clean up my hard drive by making sure stray files from those programs have all been deleted?

    If you followed these steps to uninstall Parallels (you simply drag Parallels to the Trash), that's all. Parallels is a quite clean application that does not create a lot of files in different folders.
    However, you may still have the virtual machines you created in Documents folder. If you want to remove them, open a Finder window, select Documents in the sidebar and remove the Parallels folder

  • Collating all related files when finished

    Hi all,
    When finishing a book, I want to collate all the image files etc, so I can back this up on DVD. Is there a function where it will copy (not move) all files to a location with the InDesign files? (Note: I don't want to move all the linked files from where they are, copying would be best).
    I realise this is probably in the help files for InDesign, but I don't know what ID calls it. So, if anyone could help, I'd be grateful!

    Package is the way to go for backup, but be sure that all of the files you want backed up are touching the page, bleed, or slug, and that you include stuff that is hidden or non- printing (the primary purpose of packaging is hand off to a service provider, so they normally don't need anything that won't be printed on the page).
    You can also use the "copy links to..." command in the links panel menu. This will copy all of the links to the destination you choose and reset the link path in the document to the new location, but won't copy the document as Package does. You can "Undo Copy Links..." afterwards to reset the paths back to what they were and the copies of the linked files will still be where you put them.

    "(Untitled) [Business process diagram (BPMN)]"
    all the activities are nameless, all the connections didn´t have the attributes, i only have the diagrams with no descriptions,

    Hi,
    no worries - you just logged in with the wrong language. Please go to the explorer module, and make a right mouse-click on your database. Select Log-Off and afterwards Log-in again. Choose the language and the Filter that you've used while you created your models.
    In order to set your language and filter permanently go to "View -> Options -> Log in -> Database language" and "View -> Options -> General -> Method language".
    Hope this helps,

    To completely disable Top Sites, go to Safari > Preferences > General
    New windows open with: Top Sites
    Change it to something else. Obviously, you can do the same for New Tabs.
    (You'll also see Top Sites in the Show All Bookmarks window. Drag that up, don't stop when it first stops moving. It will be reduced to a thin bar.)
    Now delete the Image Cache. Choose Safari > Reset Safari... and select Remove All Webpage Preview Images. Click Reset. Now go to YourUserName/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari and select the Webpage Previews folder. Press Cmd-I and click Locked. Now it won't accumulate a jpeg and png of every web page you visit. I saved over 500MB of disk space!

    Try this one? (From just after release of 4.0. Sorry, don't remember to whom the credit for this goes. Haven't tried it myself, but heard back it works).
    cd ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/
    rm -rf "Webpage Previews"
