  • Excel 2013 save as JPG/PNG graphic format?

    Dear All,
      For Excel 2013, is it possibe to save the sheet in JPG or PNG graphic file?

    Hi,
    Currently, Excel 2013 doesn't have the ability to save a sheet as an image.
    The simplest way to accomplish this is to select and copy the worksheet cells containing the data, chart, etc. you want to save as an image (turn off grid lines if you don’t want them too), then paste it into your graphics editor, say Microsoft Paint.
    Now you will be able to save it as any graphic formats as you want by using
    Save as feature in Microsoft Paint.

  • Since updating to the latest version of Firefox (12) I can no longer save jpegs or other graphic files. I can save them with other browsers.

    Firefox does not seem to recognize the graphic asset (the Save As File Type) pull-down bar stays blank. When I select the "All Files" type in the pull-down bar but that doesn't help. I've tried adding the .jpeg to the file name as suggested by another user, but this doesn't help.
    No problems like this when I switch to Explorer.
    Is this a known bug?

    Unstructured Framemaker 8.0 p277, Windows Vista Home Premium service pack 2
    Like many I have to provide final documents in Word (2003). In my workflow I export my Frame doc to RTF (Microsoft RTF 1.6), open it in Word then save as a Word doc. Reopen in Word and apply a custom template.
    When viewing the Word doc on screen or print preview everything look OK. However when I print the document ALL graphics are rotated 180 degrees. All graphics are referenced and 95% are PNG created with Photoshop 6.0 and flattened.
    Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

    I never found a reason for the graphic inverting behavior. However, using Mif2Go to create my RTFs solves the problem

    Yes, same issue here. Other apps are unaffected.
    cpu ussage goes down when video is running but not displayed (like switching to another tab / app) or paused.
    cpu ussage also increases/decreases with the size of the player on screen, so this definetely is some chromium rendering issue.

  • JAVA Drawing Graphics Save as JPEG?

    My problem is this, I am trying to save my g2 graphic image to a jpg. This is how I have things setup, I will show code and my thoughts. What I need is help to figure out how I could save seperate .java files graphics g to the jpg format from a JFileChooser in a different .java file.
    HERE IS THE CODE FOR HOW GRAPH IS CREATED. graph.java
    I have a graph I am drawing in a seperate .java file and it is created like this:
    public class graph extends JPanel {
        public static Graphics2D g2;
        final int HPAD = 60, VPAD = 40;
        int[] data;
        Font font;
        public test() {
            data = new int[] {120, 190, 211, 75, 30, 290, 182, 65, 85, 120, 100, 101};
            font = new Font("lucida sans regular", Font.PLAIN, 8);
            setBackground(Color.white);
        protected void paintComponent(Graphics g) {
            super.paintComponent(g);
            g2 = (Graphics2D)g;
            g2.setRenderingHint(RenderingHints.KEY_ANTIALIASING,
                                RenderingHints.VALUE_ANTIALIAS_ON);
            g2.setFont(font);
            FontRenderContext frc = g2.getFontRenderContext();
            int w = getWidth();
            int h = getHeight();
            // scales
            float xInc = (w - HPAD - HPAD) / 10f;
            float yInc = (h - 2*VPAD) / 10f;
            int[] dataVals = getDataVals();
            float yScale = dataVals[2] / 10f;
    //        etc... (the rest is just drawing...blah...blah)
    }HERE IS THE CODE FOR HOW MY GRAPH IS DISPLAYED AND TRYING TO BE SAVED. results.java
    The graph I created is then displayed in a JPanel and there is a button in the results window to save the graph results. This is where I am having difficulty as I am trying to save the g2 from graph.java (declared public static...not sure if this a good idea) but anyway I want to save this as a jpg heres the code:
            resultPanel = new JPanel(new PercentLayout());
            graph drawing = new graph();
            resultPanel.add (
                drawing,
                new PercentLayout.Constraint(1,41,49,50));
            resultPanel.add (
                saveButton1,
                new PercentLayout.Constraint(1,94,25,5));
        public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
            if(e.getSource() == saveButton1) {
                doSaveGraph();
        public void doSaveGraph() {
            JFileChooser fileSaver;
            fileSaver = new JFileChooser(); // The file-opening dialog
            ExampleFileFilter filter = new ExampleFileFilter("jpg");
            filter.setDescription("JPEG Picture File");
            fileSaver.addChoosableFileFilter(filter);
            try {
                if(fileSaver.showSaveDialog(this) == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION) {
                    File f = fileSaver.getSelectedFile();
                    BufferedImage img = new BufferedImage(672,600, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
          // SOMEWHERE IN HERE IS WHERE I NEED TO GRAB G2?  I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO DO HERE
                    //Graphics g = img.getGraphics();
                    //panel.paint(g);
                    BufferedOutputStream out = new BufferedOutputStream(new FileOutputStream(f));
                    JPEGImageEncoder encoder = JPEGCodec.createJPEGEncoder(out);
                    JPEGEncodeParam param = encoder.getDefaultJPEGEncodeParam(img);
                    param.setQuality(1f, true);
                    encoder.setJPEGEncodeParam(param);
                    encoder.encode(img);
                    System.out.println("It worked");
                else{}
            catch (Exception e) {

  • HP Envy 15 Graphics Problem with Windows 8.1 (Intel and NVidia Graphics). Help!

    I bought an HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j013ea about 6 months ago and I have had a major problem with the graphics that I cannot seem to solve. I think it started when I updated to Windows 8.1, even though I am not 100% certain.
    I have noticed the following three problems, and I think they are related:
    Some windows (such as Chrome, Skype, or even Device Manager or other windows) are very blurry compared to others.
    The firefox menu window has some deformed black arrows instead of the normal ones.
    When playing a game (specifically, Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2), after a while I get an error that the computer has ran out of memory. However, according to task manager, only about 50% is in use, not to mention that I have 8 GB of RAM + 2 GB graphics memory. At the same time, the computer gets rather loud (like a fan working overtime) and hot.
    The laptop has both Intel and NVidia graphics, and both are enabled in Device Manager. To be honest, I have no idea which is used when, or how to check that (let me know if there is a way)
    I have tried the following without success:
    Uninstalling the Intel graphics driver from device manager and installing a version I downloaded from the HP website for my laptop and OS. After that, Windows would NOT BOOT, and I had to do a system restore.
    Uninstalling the Intel graphics from Programs and Features, and installing 2 different versions from the Intel website. Nothing changed.
    Updating Nvidia driver through GeForce Experience. Nothing changed.
    Updating Intel drivers from Windows Update. Nothing changed.
    Quite frankly I am not sure what the problem could be, since the graphics versions are supposed to be compatible with WIndows 8.1. I also don't get why some windows are blurry and others are not. I am thinking the computer uses only the Intel graphics and not the Nvidia (at least in the blurry windows), but even if that was the case (and it shouldn't be), I don't think I should be having this problem.
    At this point, I really need help. My graphics details are:
    Intel HD Graphics 4600: Driver version: 10.18.10.3412
    NVidia GeForce GT 740M: Driver version: 335.23
    NVidia GeForce Experience version: 1.8.2
    I am attaching screenshots that show driver details and the problems.
    Thank you.
    Blurry Chrome:
    Firefox menu problem:
    Device Manager and driver windows are also blurry, both graphics are shown

    I had a similar problem with a Dell laptop.  I found the problem was the laptop wanted to switch between the Intel and NYIDIA video cards.  It would switch to the Intel when high graphics was not required then to the NIVIDIA when high graphics was required.  The laptop does this to save power when high graphics is not required but it caused problems with some applications, specifically high graphics games.
    For me the solution was to disable the Intel graphics processor.  You can do this by right clicking on your Wallpaper, select the NIVIDIA Control Panel, then select Set Physx Configuration.  You will see a dropdown box labeled Select Physx Processor.  It is set to Auto by default.  This allows the switching I described. Select this dropdown box and select your NIVIDIA processor.  This will prevent the laptop from switching and force it to use your NVIDIA processor exclusively.
    Hope this helps.

  • Imorted barcode graphics in FrameMaker 10 are not displaying properly in my PDFs

    I have imported barcode graphics (that were embedded in a Microsoft 1997 Word document and I don't have the original imported images) into FrameMaker 10. However, when I create a pdf and view it in Adobe Reader 10 or Adobe Acrobat 10.1.3 and then print the document, the barcodes will not scan. Some of the barcodes are code 39. If I print the FrameMaker document, the barcodes don't scan either. The barcode graphics also don't display properly in Microsoft Word, but they scan fine from the Word document and the pdf. I can get the barcodes to display properly in Word if I right-click on the barcode and select Edit Picture.
    I have tried importing the Word document into FrameMaker, making bitmap images of the barcodes in Photoshop and then importing them into FrameMaker and trying to do a special paste into FrameMaker. However, the barcodes still don't look right, print right or scan at all.
    I don't have a lot of experience with barcodes, graphics or FrameMaker, so any light that can be shed on this issue is appreciated.

    OK, to simplify this a bit, a barcode is not an exotic specie -- it's just
    a graphic file. If you embed a crisp .PNG or .PDF in FM it should print
    correctly, no matter what the subject matter is.
    What I'd do is either:
       - Select the graphics in Word and Save As Image to export them (or just
       save the Word file as HTML -- it'll write out the graphics as .JPGs, but at
       least they'll be there. Or
       - if the barcodes have a legend on them (usually numbers on the bottom
       of the code) just go to any of the online Bar Code generation sites and
       pump them in to get a fresh graphic.
    Then:
       1. Save or convert the graphic to something besides a .jpg. --- a .png
       or PDF -- In Photoshop or another editing program, bump the resolution to
       300 dpi or so for print quality resolution. If necessary, convert it to
       black and white and clean up any grey edges.
       2. Import into Frame.
       3. Print to the Adobe Acrobat logical printer; don't use SaveAsPDF. Pick
       a job option that doesn't apply .jpg compression to images -- it'd be
       better not to downsample them at all.

  • Editing, then closing, automatically saves. No option to "not save?"

    (iPhoto 6.0.4) Is this a default feature? When I open a photo and do any editing, then double click it to reduce it to thumbnail size, iPhoto automatically saves what I did. Isn't there an option somewhere to tell it to just close but not save, or to "save as?" Any graphics apps that I use (Photoshop, Graphic Converter, etc.), always ask when I go to close the image whether I want to save what I was just doing. Not iPhoto. The only way I can figure to get around this is create a duplicate before experimenting with any edits. Any help? Thanks

  • "Automatic graphics switching" new option on i5/i7 Snow Leopard for MBP

    Well, I finally upgraded my old 2006 (week 10) MacBook Pro. I'm using a MacBookPro6,2 (i5, mid 2010) with 8G of RAM and 500G of drive space. One of the things I noticed is a new Energy Saver option:
    *[x] Automatic graphics switching*
    *Your computer will automatically switch between graphics modes for better battery life.*
    Interesting, is this a silent "fix" for the Snow Leopard battery problem? This option is not available on pre-i5/i7 MacBook Pro laptops. At least not on the 3 dozen that arrived for one of our clients:
    http://donmontalvo.com/apple/mbpbattery_issue/i5_new_batteryoption.jpg
    Separate thread...didn't want this to be lost in the 1000+ post thread where Google'ers are claiming the problem is strictly related to old batteries that need to be replaced. It doesn't look like this fix will help pre-i5/i7 MacBook Pro users.
    Don

    The new Automatic Graphics Switching feature has been a headache for many users who must run on battery power, because there are many applications that trigger a switch to the higher-powered (and more power-hungry) GPU for no good reason. Many of them barely even use the GPU, and switching to the high-performance GPU does no earthly good when those apps are in use, but it runs the battery down faster anyway. Fortunately, Cody Krieger has written a nifty utility that enables full manual control of which GPU is in use: gfxCardStatus.

  • How to save browsed websites?

    Hi,
    I do not have internet connections home. I want to see websites that I have browsed. Is there a way to cache or save browsed websites? Saving each visited website is not my option because it may be tedious.
    Thank you,

    Sorry, I don't know what this means w the rest of the post?
    Beautiful Sky does not have an internet connection at home, so when she (or he) is able to connect to the internet, she would like a way to archive entire sites (not just single pages) to view offline.
    +Edit: Actually, that last sentence may not be Beautiful Sky's exact intention. Re-reading, I realize she's looking for a way to go back, when offline, and view any site that was viewed when online, without having to deliberately save it. I'm pretty sure that's not possible, but the above idea might be a tolerable substitute+.
    I don't know of a good way to do this, but I'm guessing someone here might know of a program or method for archiving many pages of a web site ...?
    For what it's worth, this isn't a strange request. Internet Explorer for Mac used to do it, letting you set it so it would save pages 1 link deep, 2 links deep, etc. It would save all pages and graphics accordingly, to the best of its ability, making it easy to browse large chunks of a web site when offline. I just don't know of a current web browser or program that does this now in Mac OS X.

  • How can I save the plot on Graph control to disk like the plot on Picture.vi ?

    Dear all
    I have a question about saving the plot on graph control.
    In Labview,there is two way to make a plot, using graph control (eg. waveform control ,wavechart control) and Picture.vi (eg. plot XY vi and plot waveform VI ) ,
    but for Picture.VI  there is some control  for saving them to disk (eg. write jpeg file.vi or write bmp file.vi )
    My question is that may I save the plot display in graph control to disk using some vi like saving Picture to disk.
    I only know we only can right clicking and export implified image to save the plot on graphic plot?
    What want is save the plot on graphic control without interface and save to disk directly?
    many thanks!

    RIght-click on your graph and select:
    Create...Invoke Node and select method "export image". Wire the desired inputs and place it inside a case structure to be activated by e.g. a button.
