Save a received sound file received in MMS?

As stated. Someone sent me an MMS with an audio file. Has anyone found a way to get the file out of the message app?
Thanks

Thanks!!! Of course. I knew there would be a way. Forgot to press the edit button.
Cool!

    CONVERTING .WMA SOUND FILES TO
    MP3s ON A MAC - Written 9/28/07
    Here's some help on how to convert .WMA sound
    files to MP3 sound files on a Mac. Hope it helps.
    1. Open the .WMA sound file in Quicktime.
    2. In the Quicktime menu tool bar, go to FILE and
    select SAVE AS.
    3. Save the .WMA sound file as a self-contained
    movie .MOV file. Then create a folder on your desktop
    to store the .MOV files that you created.
    4. Open iTunes and create a new playlist by
    going into FILE in the iTunes menu toolbar and
    select NEW PLAYLIST. Then name your playlist.
    5. From the folder created on the desktop,
    drag the .MOV files into the specific playlist you
    created in iTunes.
    6. In the specific playlist you created in iTunes,
    highlight the .MOV files with your mouse. Then go
    to the iTunes menu toolbar and select ADVANCED.
    7. In ADVANCED, select CONVERT SELECTION TO MP3**.
    Then wait for the iTunes' "ding noise" to let you know the files
    have been all converted.
    **To have CONVERT SELECTION TO MP3
    listed in ADVANCED:
    (a) To have CONVERT SELECTION TO MP3 listed in
    ADVANCED, go into iTUNES in the iTunes menu
    toolbar and select PREFERENCES.
    (b) In PREFERENCES, select the ADVANCED icon. In
    the ADVANCED icon menu, click on IMPORTING.
    (c) In the IMPORTING menu, go to the IMPORT USING line.
    Now scroll down and select MP3 ENCODER. The click
    on the OK button.
    8. After the .MOV files have been converted to MP3 sound files,
    erase the .MOV files listed in the specific playlist you created.
    9. Take your mouse and click on the MUSIC icon in the LIBRARY section.
    Now in the LIBRARY section, search for the converted files.
    Once the converted files are found, be sure to highlight one at
    a time-- you'll be making sure which ones are mp3s and which are not.
    10. Once a converted file is highlighted, go into FILE in the iTunes
    menu toolbar. Click on GET INFO and check which files are
    .MOV or MP3 files. Delete each .MOV file found.
    11. Now you're left with the converted MP3 files in the LIBRARY.
    Highlight and drag all the converted MP3 files from the LIBRARY to your
    specific playlist you created. Now you're done! Enjoy your
    new MP3s!

    There is no solution for playing and coverting DRM-protected WMA files on a Mac. I don't even know of a way to covert DRM-protected WMA files on a PC; you normally have to reimport them from the CDs, or when purchased from a download store burn them to an audio CD (where allowed).

    i recently got new mac air and transferred my old version garageband projects now when I open them in 10.0.2 I can add new tracks but then nothing can record, shows its receiving sound from software inst. but no sound. I checked audio preferences and they are set as they should be. I tried it in all the other older projects and same issue anyone have any experience like this very frustrating.  Can one download old version still ? or can you run both versions on OS10.9.5 ?

    Ok, either my question was too long or nobody seems to have an answer. Sad, either way
    Here's something I found out in the meantime, maybe this is interesting for somebody or maybe - problem's not totally solved - enough info for any of you to give me further advice.
    When I start Logic Core Audio driver de-activated, I can open old songs. Then I save them in a new folder with all audio files and a new name. And I remove all EXS24 instruments as well as the Space Designer. I quit Logic, re-open with Core Audio activated and I can open the song.
    Problem no.1: EXS24 instruments don't find the appropriate samples, but EXSMananger Pro did help me with this. Same problem with Space Designer, which doesn't find the impulse responses, connected to a certain preset.
    Two questions, every idea would be great!
    - Is there any way to teach Space Designer Presets where to look for impulse respones. I can load IR samples directly and create a new preset, but I can't use my old ones.
    - Is it possible to install Logic from scratch over an existing version? Or how should I de-install everything connected with Logic and then install a fresh version from CD?
    Thank you again,
    Joern

  • E61 question: How to move File received by Bluetoo...

    Hello Everybody!
    I have a newbie question.
    When I receive a file by Bluetooth, it gets saved in my Messages INBOX.
    When I open the message, I can see the file as an attachement. However, I cannot open it from there.
    I just want to save that file to some other location on my card, but there isn't any option to move it outside the messages application (i am give an option to move it to the sent/drafts folders and thats it).
    Please let me know how I can find and move this file.
    THank you
    Laxmin

    Is it saved as MMS? If true, there's should be series of menu options like: Objects->Open->Options->Save to save.
    What's the law of the jungle?

  • File Receiver - Dynamically create filename from data in payload

    Hi there.
    Can anyone tell me the approach I need to take to be able to use the data in one field to determine the filename in the file receiver adaptor.
    I have a requirement that requires that I save a file with the following mask:
    xxxx_xxx<b><date extracted from field in payload></b>.csv
    I would appreciate any help on this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mick.

    Hi Mick,
    you just need to use adapter specific parameters
    and you will be able to set the name in your mapping
    (from your payload)

    When I try to open an .ai/pdf file received through my email, it won't open and asks for a password. I have never set up any kind of password for email security, but have tried typing in my standard passwords. Nothing works. I wonder if it has anything to do with the use of my Wacom3 Tablet...I've been having trouble with it and was getting the same message when trying to open the User's Manual in my Applications/WacomTablet file on my hard drive. Any suggestions? I just downloaded the latest version for the Wacom and recently upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.7 (which I hate, and my CS3 hates, etc.)

    It sounds like you have a a password-protected PDF. The password was set by the person who encoded it.

  • External command is not working in File Receiver Adapter

    Hi,
       I have tried to copy the file which is mentioned in my File Adapter (Receiver) to 3 different folders thru OS command. The purpose is to save time. I have created one CC for Source(File) and one CC for target(File). After the target file is created, I want to copy this file in 3 folders. For this I have written one batch file in my system.
    File Name: copy1.bat
    @ECHO OFF
    COPY %1 C:\TEST1\arch_t1
    COPY %1 C:\TEST2\arch_t2
    COPY %1 C:\TEST3\arch_t3
    DEL %1
    The command which I entered in the Receiver CC (File Adatper is)
    Run Operating System Command After Message Processing
    Command Line: C:\FILES\copy1.bat %F %f
    Timeout(secs): 60
    Terminate Program After Timeout - Check box is selected.
    But, this external command is not working. (because the target files are not created in those directories C:\TEST1, C:\TEST2, C:\TEST3)
       I did this scenario by refering the Michael'w weblog:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2007/02/08/xipi-command-line-sample-functions
       In this blog, he has also given how to troubleshoot external command. I tried this also. It is not working.
        I use Windows XP OS. XI 3.0 SP 18.
       Friends, Could you kindly tell why this external command is not working? What could be the problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind Regards,
    Jeg P.

    Hi, Jeg.
    As the note says, please check the java Runtime.exec behavior
    with the proper user.
    If in doubt, check if the command can be successfully run through
    the Java Runtime.exec(...) API. Also note that the command is run
    as user "<sid>adm" (Unix) / "SAPService<SID>" (Windows).
    So, Could you check the following(very dirty one!) Java in your
    XI server and check if it works? For simulating %F, create a test
    file C:\FILES\test.txt whatever the content is.
    import java.util.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class ExecJava {
      public static void main(String args[]) {
        try {
          Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
          Process proc = rt.exec("C:/FILES/copy1.bat C:
    FILES
    test.txt");
        } catch (Exception e) {
          e.printStackTrace();
    Good Luck.

  • File Receiver - before message processing *urgent*

    Hello experts,
    I have a scenario where i  need to execute a script in File receiver adapter.
    problem: "i send an xml file to target system, but as long as there is a .xml file in the directory, it should not send.
    He should wait and send only then when there is no .xml file in the directory."
    Is that possible with "run operating system command before" in the receiver adapter or i need for this issue BPM?
    Best wishes,
    FK

    Hi,
    File receiver adapter has a "Run Operating System Command Before/After Message Processing" feature, so you could use it for such purpose :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/bc/bb79d6061007419a081e58cbeaaf28/content.htm
    I think it could be better to use a script than using BPM (it will save resources at XI level).

  • IDoc (Sender ) to File (Receiver): No receiver could be determined

    Hi, Dear  Friends,
    I’m implementing scenario Idoc-to-File by means XI.
    I try to follow this scenario:
    Satish Jaiswal. A Step-by-Step Guide on IDoc-to-File Using Business Service in the XI Integration Directory
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e07dcaa0-a92b-2a10-3a96-b3d942bd1539
    But I have an error.
    In sender system I send IDoc by transaction WE19. After that in transaction WE05 I see IDoc with status 03 (successful).
    After that in XI system:
    1) in transaction WE05 I don't see any IDoc (IDoc is not received by the Receiver (XI Integration Server))
    2) in transaction SXMB_MONI I see my message with error.
    Status - System error.
    In detail view at stage "Receiver Identification" in item "Error" I see: "No receiver could be determined"
    Unfortunately I'm not expert in IDoc.
    Can you recommend me what I need to verify?
    Or advice me link on another full good example with IDoc.
    What I need to read for quick start in IDoc understanding.
    Thank you in advance.

    the server receives the file and saves it, all of this works but
    after de server finsished the method receiveFileList() it can't receive antything from the client anymore
    here's the server code
            public void run(){

                    System.out.println("Receiving file");
                    while ((n = i.read(bdata,0,bsize)) > 0)

                    System.out.println("File Read Complete " + totalbytes + " in length.");
                    i.close();//ADDED

                catch (IOException ioe){
                    System.out.println("Catched: IOException");
            }

    For a start you cannot use an input stream into two different streams e.g. a BufferedReader and a DataInputStream
    Also you have no way for the DataInputStream to know when it has read the whole file so it will read until the stream closes.

  • Opening and locating files received by email.

    I receive a email that contains an Adobe file. I click the file and below it an option to save to my computer. I click that save and presumably the file is saved to my computer. I cannot locate this file. I am doing some process wrong. Would someone help with the process to find files and download the file to my Adobe files. Thank you  Joseph

    Some email clients / web mail provide a "Save As" in addition to a "Save".
    "Save" dumps the file to some default wired into the program. "Save As" lets you browse to where you want to dump the file.
    Often "Save" dumps to the root of the "Download" directory.
    Some applications provide a rectangular band with a control to click that opens the OS file explorer to where the file is.
    Be well...

  • Access files received via Bluetooth in Work Space

    Hi everyone,
    I have a problem regarding Personnal and Work space, let me explain it...
    No matter the space I chose, Bluetooth files received via OBEX protocol will always be stored in Personnal space. Is there a way to receive it in Work space ?
    Thanks for helps !

    For some reason PC suite dont have that option to see inbox messages received via bluetooth would be better if it comes in the future PC suite updates only way to see it to open and save those files on to your phone and access it using file manager, also its easy too

  • My iphone will not vibrate or make a sound when receiving a text message

    for some reason since yesterday, my Iphone will not vibrate or make a sound when I receive a normal or Imessage text message.
    I double checked that vibration works in general and it does. so does the sound file for the Text tone.
    My ringer works fine as well as vibration for incoming calls but nothing works with a normal text message (even whatsapp works fine).
    I have no idea what could be the issue here.
    Any ideas?

    - Unmute your phone
    - Set your Ringtone to default
    - Adjust your volume
    - If you're on iOS6 - DO NOT DISTURB feature turn it OFF
    Try again

  • Adapter Module Filename in File Receiver Channel

    Hi All,
    is it possible to set the Filename in File Receiver Adapter from Adapter Module?
    I know that it is possible to read the data
    Channel ch = new Channel(moduleContext.getChannelID());
    path = ch.getValueAsString("file.targetDir");
    I Need to set the filename in Adapter Module, using of Payload is not possible because Payload is not xml.
    Dynamic Parameters in Message Header is not possible because it is an multi mapping process an i need dynamic Filename for each Part
    payload after mapping is like
    MainDocument
    SubMainDocument
    MainDocument
    SubMainDocument
    i need special Name for each SubMainDocument in FileReceiverAdapter
    regards
    ralf

    Hello Stefan,
    interface mapping is an mapping  like this:
    outbound_interface => Inbound_Interface1
                                 => Inbound_Interface2
                                => Inbound_Interface3
    in sxmb_moni this looks like this
    Soap_Header
    Soap_Body
    Payloads
         =>MainDocument ( application/xml )
        => SubMainDocument ( text/xml )
         =>MainDocument ( application/xml )
        => SubMainDocument ( text/xml )
    First SubMainElement is routing to FileReceiverAdapeter A   where Filename has to be like "NameA%nr%"
    second SubMainElement is routing to FileReceiverAdapeter B   where Filename has to be like "NameB%nr%"
    %nr% is som value from the Payload.
    Payload is not xml  because using of Conversion Argent!!
    I Think there is only one Dynamic in Header for all subelements, i have test it!
