Save a Response as a PDF File - Help

I've imported a PDF form and have it functioning. I understood I could download selectted individual responses with the fields embedded in the original form design. A great idea. However although the help pages tell me I should be able to see an option offering the facility to me, it doesn't exist. Right clicking on the row number brings up table options but no mention of this option. Can anyone tell me where it is please? It doesn't appear in the file menu at the top of the page either.

We apologize for the confusion. You currently can't save a PDF of the response for imported forms. You can only do that form forms created within FormsCentral Design tab. We are actually working on providing the functionality and we should have it out early next year. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Acrobat 9 Shared Review error "Could not save the shared review-enabled pdf file. .

I attempted to start a Shared Review of a PDF file.  I have been unable to initiate the review.  Upon completion of the setup routine (i.e., filed idenitified, server location identified, participant's email entered, send selected, I get the error message - Status"  Could not save the shared review-enabled PDF file.

As a workaround, don't put the source PDF at the network folder location which you have specified in Shared Review wizard. Eg. if you are initiating a review at the network location \\servername\xyz, ensure that your source PDF is not placed at \\servername\xyz.
I have not understood your second question. Do you mean to say that Acrobat.com option is disabled for you?

    Hi MsSunnyD,
Try uninstalling Adobe Acrobat using the Adobe cleaner Tool  http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, try installing Adobe Reader XI. That should resolve the problem.

  • Filename in Save As dialog when saving PDF file

I have a web site serving up PDF files. Without going into details, the URLs of the PDFs are not just your basic URL but look simething like this:
    http://www.domain.com/WorkFlowApp/Clients/demo1/secure/Promo%20Cover%20Cool-MedH i.pdf?userId=55b64ad5-28a2-490e-b3d6-4944099a390f#collab=CollabService@http://ww w.domain.com/ICCollab/IC_Service.asmx?WSDL
In this case the actual filename is "Promo Cover Cool-MedHi.pdf"
While viewing in Safari (OS X), if the user saves the PDF to their local machine, the Save As dialog comes up and the filename field is automatically populated. The problem is, instead of using just the filename, the field contains this:
    http---www.domain.com-WorkFlowApp-Clients-demo1-secure-Promo%20Cover%20Cool-MedH i.pdf?userId=55b64ad5-28a2-490e-b3d6-4944099a390f#collab=CollabService@http---ww w.domain.com-ICCollab-IC_Service.asmx?WSDL
I know when performing the same action on Windows using Internet Explorer, the Save As dialog box filename field is populated correctly with just the filename (although it shows up URL encoded as Promo%20Cover%20Cool-MedHi.pdf, which is OK).
I'd like to be able to force Safari to use just the filename in the Save As dialog box. Has anyone come accross this problem and figured out a solution?

    Hello Ebnul.nao

  • Save As Image fails with PDF files

Using Acrobat X Pro, version 10.1.7. After the most recent update, I can no longer crop a PDF file and save it in any image format. The options are there, but when I select File > Save As > Image > PNG (or JPG or any other image format) and enter the filename/location, no new file is created.
This is about to become an emergency, since a big annual production project uses images from PDF files as illustrations in other documents.
    Any ideas?
    Elisa

I have had the same issue but with Acrobat 7 standard.  No error message is displayed however no file appears when trying to save a pdf as JPG  or other imgae formats.  Repairing and re-installing has not helped.  Did you make any progress with this issue?
Strangely if a different user logs onto the same machine they can do this with no problems.  I have tried to find something in the users profile which could be causing this but with no sucess.

  • New User;PDF files;Help

Hi there!I can see PDF files (as attachments in my e-mail) on my BB curve 8900 but if I wanto to save/download them on my device there is a message saying that "the PDF files cannot be viewed in the device".  Is this correct or there is something wrong with my device? Any suggestions/advice?Thank you very much indeed to all
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi there!
There is nothing wrong with your BB. PDF's are viewable as long as they remain as email attachments. Once they are disconnected from that, they are then a native PDF file on your BB -- for which you need an application on your BB to read them. the DataViz ToGo apps have it in their Premium package. BeamReader is another app. You can search for whatever one you desire.
Good luck and let us know!

  • How to save report output in a PDF file and also show preview in one processing cycle

    Hi every body,
We R re-developing an application from COBOL to Oracle.
    Using Reports 6i 6.0.8.11.3.
The requirement is that whenever a user processes a report, it should be saved on disk say in PDF format. Then it should be shown in Reports Runtime Previewer.
So far I have explored that only one of theses can be done in one processing cycle.
That is if we set DESTYPE to FILe it will only be saved to disk. If we set DESTYPE to Preview, the report can be previewed and optionally printed but not saved.
I want that both saving to disk and preview should be possible.
I have explored .DST file option but there is only provision for FILE, PRINTER and MAIL.
Printing facility should be optional, otherwise we would have used FILE and PRINTER destinations in .DST file.
Once that file is saved on disk, it can later on be printer if user requires more copies.
I would prefer a solution other than User_exit as I don't have training in developing user_exits.
    Any help please.
    Tariq

I had a similar requirement and decided to run the report from forms. When a button is pressed, the report is run to create the pdf file, followed by separate command to invoke acrobat reader or internet explorer to display the file, rather than using reports previewer.
The file can be displayed from forms by a host command in client server, or by web.show_document on the web.

MAC OSX version 10.4.11 and I can't seem to open any PDF
I'm having this problem as well. I have both Acrobat Professional 8.1.2 and Adobe Reader 8.1.2 installed with the proper internet plug-in, using OS 10.4.11. When I try to open a pdf file in Safari I get a window asking me to choose an application to open the file, but both applications are dimmed and cannot be selected. I have tried re-installing Acrobat Reader, but without success. In Firefox I simply get a blank, darkened window. __Previously, before I installed Leopard and was using Tiger, I had Acrobat Reader 7.0 as well as AR 8.0 installed, and I was only able to select AR 7.0, but it worked. Now nothing works. This is a serious problem that Adobe needs to address!

  • How do I save a document as a PDF file instead of an HTML?

I just installed Acrobat XI on my Windows 7 laptop. When I save a file as a PDF, it saves it as an HTML PDF, and will only open in the web browser. I would prefer to simply save it as a PDF file.

    It was a Word document.

  • Export just responses to another PDF file

The answer here may be obvious, but I can't see it. I have a very large form with many check boxes and fillin values. I would like to create anotehr PDF form that is just a quick summary form, that can import just specific response from the larger form as a way to validate that at least one response was entered. What is the best way to do this?

    Hi Fabian,
The pdf file you are talking about is a Portfolio (earlier called a Package File)? Portfolio files are basically pdf files in which we can have sub-folders or any other files (pdf, or, non-pdf)?
If yes, then we do have good support for Portfolios in Adobe Reader X.
Would it possible for you to share the pdf file you are concerned about?
    Thanks,

  • How to save a bitmap to a pdf file format?

    Hello,
We have a scanning application that can write out BMP files or TIFF files.  My boss would like to have the files in PDF format.  Is there a way to do this?  I can write code if given the specs.  Call an external routine if there is one available for free or low cost.  I initially get the info from a handle to a DIB, convert it to a Bitmap object, then save it to a TIFF.  I am using VB.NET and am looking for a solution that isn't too costly in cash or time since the benefit is small, but I do not know if there is one.  Even if someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
    Thanks

Open in a graphics package and print to the Adobe PDF printer. TIFF files can be opened directly in Acrobat and converted (you would then use Save As to get the PDF). BMP files are not in the list of files converted by Acrobat, but you could still try -- might get an error message, but maybe it will work also.
