Save and Save As do not work

Hi all,
i'm feeling really stupid asking this question, but after an import from Data Dictionary (from an Oracle 9i Database) y can see the tables, relationships, etc, but when trying to Save (or Save As) and setting the right values on the "file/directory browser" dialog box, nothing happens.
I'm using the Mac version (Modeler 3.0.0 build 665). I've tried with the Mac and Oracle look and feel and nothing.
The stranger thing is that at some point this worked and then deleted the imported model because it was taken from the wrong database (not production).
After deleting the imported model, the tool seems to not be able to save anymore? I checked briefly the version control funcionality but it is disabled now (provides SVN, i use GIT).
I'm almost sure i'm doing something wrong (it's unlikely this is a bug of the tool).
Two more things:
1) if i start a new model, i cannot save either.
2) i've re-installed many times (deleted the file from the Applications folder and extrated it again from the tar.gz). Same results.

Save and Quit tabs does not work properly.

When asked to Save and Quit tabs for the specific session is selected, Firefox does not restore tabs at the next session.
I have read the posts where it is suggested to change the settings and simply never clear the history. However this is not the way that Firefox behaved in older versions, NOR IS IT A SOLUTION due to the following:
The pop-up on exit to Save and Clear is clearly asking the user if that specific session should be remembered and then clearing the history should be superseded by saving instead. Otherwise, what is the point of asking the user to save? A pop-up warning saying that the tabs will not be remembered would be more appropriate.
Regardless, the user has been asked if this specific session should be remembered, and this clearly being the last choice done by the user, supersedes the prior settings for this one specific session. The tabs should be remembered, as the user has instructed (and Firefox used to do in the past), and yet Firefox opens a new session having dumped the information.
Changing the settings to remembering the history instead, does not serve people that want most times to clear it. This would then mandate a manual clearing of history every time before a session is ended instead.
This will need a permanent fix/rollback to the way Firefox used to behaved in these circumstances in older versions.

After transferring musics to the device selecting by mass storage mode you need to follow this

What do you mean it won't save date? What exactly are you pressing and what happens or doesn't happen?
Try this:
Open the Calendar App and Tap Calendar at the bottom of the screen. Make sure all calendars have checkmarks, then Tap Done. Do your events show up now?

I'm using Firefox version 3.6 on my '02 Mac G4. When I installed it, it worked fine, But then all of a sudden the "save" and "save as" windows stopped coming up at all when I selected "save" anywhere in Firefox. What happened and how do I fix it?

I downloaded and installed Firefox on my '02 Mac G4. It worked great. Now I have version 3.6. But my weird problem is one day when I ran it, the "save" and "save as" windows stopped popping up at all. I'd left click a picture and select "save as" and nothing would happen. I'd go to the menu and select "save" and still no window would pop up. It would just act as if nothing had been clicked. No loading icon or anything and no "save as" window. I've never been able to get it to work. The volunteer in the live support chat typed "That IS weird.." I tried his suggestion but it did nothing. I may have deleted the plist preferences file in the preferences library folder to get it started again after a freeze up threw it out of whack but I've never had this happen before.And i've tried doing that again to see if that would restore it. But the plist always regenerates itself and the "save as " window still never appears when I run Firefox. The "save" window works just fine in every other program on my Mac, but not in Firefox. Weird..

Leliforever, cheek you list of installed add-ons, the Ask toolbar can be installed without the users knowledge.

Dear list members, in Apple Mail on my new iMac, the buttons "Save" and "Quick Look" are not showing in the messages. That's very odd, because I can see those buttons in my old mac normally. I believe there are a couple of similar threads about CC or CC2014 behaving this way that might give yo some hints, but CS5 is not supported on your OS and may not run properly regardless of what you do. An in-place OS upgrade or an attempt to migrate the application would both be major problems for ID, so if you did either of those things you'll want to uninstall, run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3) and reinstall.

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session. 
Use "File > Exit" or "Firefox > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox") if you want to restore multiple windows. 
You can use "History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time. 
You may need to click the orange/gray Firefox button to see History. 
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page. 
 
Another possibility is to use:

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

Indesign Save and Save As Greyed out!!!!!

Why oh why is this still happening - come on Adobe sort this out.
Lost time and Revenue due to InDesign suddenly greying out Save and Save As, which means the only way you can save the document is by exporting as an IDML which then causes more problems with broken links etc. Surely Adobe know about this issue, being as though I have read many forums about this.
The whole Creative Cloud concept is great, but seriously flawed, had issues where I've had notifications of the same updates I have already installed for two weeks after installing them, applications hanging on startup, Creative Cloud app not updating due to errors which quits creative cloud and then you have to start it again in order to start the update process, which invariably does not work, then have to download the latest version from the website.
Too many issues keep cropping up with this suite of software, even though the individual software packages are great when they work!!
This needs investigating and sorting out sharpish!!

If your restore is failing, there could be MANY issues... You may need to restore the phone back to "new phone" during the restore... PAY ATTENTION HERE... You will lose ALL contacts, photos, videos, voice memos, etc... But you will be able to re-add your apps< and music through itunes. that is very last resort though. if that doesnt work, I would look into updateing your phone. Personally I wouldn't get the 5, just because I dont need the additonal size screen... I have the 4S and LOVE it!! but, do some research, and see what you can find on the matter. But it sounds like your headed down hill fast with that phone... May be best just to upgrade and save yourself the frustration...

Yes, it's executable; it tries to execute either way.
The Unix LF through Smultron seemed to work. However, I don't see such an option in nano - only Mac and DOS. (I'm not too concerned, I'm pretty sure I"ll use Smultron on a regular basis to edit these files.)

While this could be a hardware issue, it's always worth trying the following.
Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager, expand Keyboards, right click the entry 'Standard PS/2 Keyboard' and select Uninstall.
Shutdown the notebook.
Then unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu. Press f9 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f5, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter. Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.

Can I Save and Saveas an excel running into a webbrowser (C#)? Permissions problems?

When we open an excel via the Open method we can configure the parameters 'readonly = false' and 'editable = true' to allow saving with Save and Saveas methods avoiding the messages "A file named 'test.xls' already exists in this location. Do you want to replace it?"
The problem is that I don't open the Excel file as above . My application (C#) charges the excel in a webbrowser inside a windows form so I prepere a workbook, I open it in the WebBrowser ( with Navigate method, not Open method) and then I assign the WebBrowser document to the application so I could continue to control it
The question is: Is there any way to open this Excel file in a webbrowser with permissions similar to 'readonly = false' and 'editable = true' of the Open method???
- If not, the Save function doesn't work and the saving only occurs when I change the content of the webbrowser ( for instance when I it's executed the line mywebBrowser.Navigate("about:blank", false); ). Moreover It appears the messege "A file named 'test.xls' already exists in this location. Do you want to replace it?"
- On the other way, if it can't be done, It`ll never works the Saveas function...
I'd appreciate any suggest!

Save and Save As options are greyed out

I have an install of Adobe X Standard. An external source is sending in PDFs which are marked as Secured. However, according to the creator of these documents, only editing has been locked down, not Save or Save As functionality. When I open the document, all Edit functionality, as well as Save and Save As are greyed out.
This is a new install of Adobe X. These documents could previously be saved using the same version of Adobe, but that machine needed to be re-installed due to OS instability. After re-installing Windows 7, then Adobe X, then updating to 10.1.13, these functions are now missing. I have no idea as to why. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Again, I've verified with the original creating that Save functionality shouldn't be disabled.

There is no security setting that locks out save/save as.
Save is greyed out when a file has not yet been changed, so that is normal. Save AS should not be greyed out at all. Don't know why that should happen.

Can Save and Save As dialog boxes be modified to show fewer file type options in CS3?

I'm looking to simplify the choices for the Save and Save As commands to the just the formats that I use on a regular basis to make some repetitive file processing tasks go faster. Is this possible?

Scripting can save to Folders relative to the File’s location or to absolute Folder-paths, so that may be beneficial in Your case.
Scripting can also amend the name a File is saved as, one could even number copies progressively.
It’s naturally easiest (to create, at least) to make one Script per file-format/target-location/name-change, because otherwise creating a dialog is necessary.
The thing I have to admit here, though, is that it would probably take a little time to grasp the matter (JavaScript specifically) – so if You should be under time-pressure already it may not be very useful in the short run.

Problem in Save and Save As Option

I hv developed a swing application in that,
I hv a problem in save and saveas option. When i click "saveAs" and choose a directory the file is getting saved to the directory which i choose. And after that if change anything and click "Save" the file is saved to the default directory i.e the program execution directory.
Is there anyway to change this. Kindly help me.
