Save as archive disabled 3.04.

I'm running GarageBand and the Save As Archive option is disabled. I read the long thread about it, but it's still not working for me. I don't know what's meant by adding loops (the blue one), so maybe that's what's wrong. Anyway, I'd appreciate some help getting this turned on. Thanks.

I'm not sure what your question is. Are you saying you don't know how to drag a loop from the loop browser into the timeline?
Also is there a particular reason that you think you need to use the Archive function?

  • Won't let me save as archive nor change software instrument to audio track

You were able to do both of these before iLife 09. Also, I see the option to archive, but it won't let me select it. Anyone?

One: Locking a track mixes it down to an audio track (hidden in the project package in a folder called "Freeze Files") that is being used on playback, so the computer doesn't have to render the software instruments.
Two: If by "sound modules" you mean the software instruments - no, they are not included in a "Save as Archive" file. As I said, it's the audio loops and copied regions. Try adding a blue audio loop to your song, and the "Save as Archive" option will appear!

  • Save As Archive Crash

Seems GB11 crashes each time I try to archive a session while doing Save As.
Has this issue already been addressed and what may be the solution?

    Bump....
GarageBand11 crashes every time I try to do a Save As/Archive. My friend experiences duplicate results with his Garageband11.
Has anyone else here experienced the same, and how does one officially report such a major bug to Apple??

    Hi,
Does this issue occur when you manually archive items in Outlook, do you drag them into the archive folder?
The first thing I wonder is if the .pst file has been corrupted, please run Scanpst.exe to repair the archive .pst file:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227/en-us
Please logon your Webmail(owa), check if the emails are available. If the emails have been moved and Outlook Client hasn't synced yet, this issue may occur as well.
We can also create a new .pst file to archive the file, check if the issue persists.
For more information, we can refer to Archive items manually:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/outlook-help/archive-items-manually-HA010355564.aspx
When you browse to the archive file in step 5, type in a new .pst file name.
If my understanding is not accurate, please detail your scenario and provide the exact error message.

  • Save / Load Archives - not working as expected?

I've been using "Save As Archive" to save a few different versions of a project (30 second spot). But now, I'm loading up those archives, and not getting back what I saved. They sometimes have the wrong version of the grades, or forget stuff that I stored in the grades all together (like secondary shape animations).
I was hoping to use this mechanism to store a few different alternatives to show the client, but now they're all mangled together, and I'll be luck if I can piece together one decent version by the time they arrive.
Anyone else seen this or have a solution?
(PS - I could have managed different looks in the Grades 1-4 slots ... but as it turns out, copying a grade to a new slot doesn't copy the animation, just the current frame's settings -- so that didn't help me either).

Have you tried walking back through any reverts or autosaves?
Possibly autosave is overwriting your "versions". They should be time and date stamped anyway, so maybe time to go looking in your designated background folder for those.

  • How do I enable "Save As" and disable "Save"

I have constructed a filable form in Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1.  The idea is to have this form downloaded to the users computer and used weekly to track expenses and each week to print and save a copy.  The problem is that with save enabled it overwrites the original form and now the person must download another original.  My question is; How do I enable "Save As" to be used with filled out forms while disabling the "Save" function after data has been entered on the form?
    Thanks for any assistance,
    Pat

    OK Pat,
In LC Designer you would create a button with the following JavaScript in the click event:
    app.execMenuItem("SaveAs");
This will bring up the Save As dialogue window.
This simplified solution will work; however if you want to be more specific in file name / path then you will run into security issues, which will require additional privileged script / certified solutions. There are some posts dealing with this:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/1357119#1357119
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/1359267#1359267
While the solution may not be ideal, it will at least prompt the user to "Save As" instead of "Save" and the user will just have to be responsible for making sure they rename the file.
    Good luck,
    N.

  • Build ejb archive disabled  - NWDS

    hi ,
I am building an adapter module as per:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/da5675d1-0301-0010-9584-f6cb18c04805
But Build EJB Archive option is disabled to create the jar files. I tried many options but still the same.
Can someone help me with what to do?
Can we develop the adapter module using the WSAD(Websphere Application Developer Studio)?

    Hi Satya,
just copy your java code at in someother place.....then delete your EJB prj...NWDS will ask for deleting contents....choose delete content also option.. delete both projects......
Now start creating a fresh EJB Project with a new name.....follow the "how to create adapter module" document......do all the steps.......
Then you will be able to build your ejb archive by right clicking your ejb project..
    Thanks,

    thank you

    Hi Raj,
    1) Are you using NWDS for developing,
If so open J2ee development perspective from menu option windows in NWDS. In left side, choose J2ee explorer tab. Here, it shows your EJB project. Right click on it and choose Build EJB archive.
    2) Check whether you have opened the right perspective when you are trying to build the EJB archive.
3)Check this : The file ejb-jar.xml does not know what is the class and rest of the details for your ejb. For checking this, go to J2EE explorer and you will see ejb candidates.Right click on it and select add to ejb-jar.xml. You should now see the Build EJB Archive option enabled.

  • Can't find my custom loop, can't Save as archive, but the song plays?

Hey guys. In October I made my first "real" attempt at a song in GarageBand. I recorded the bass and guitar with my Digitech GNX3000. I made my drum loops from scratch with my mouse. I just chose the kit and clicked the little squares on the grid for timing. I named them all AlanCustomX (where X described it).
I just got a MacBook and I'm moving all of my data from this old G4 tower. I copied over my song and the drum loops didn't work. That's okay, I figured it was in the Apple Library somewhere. I started up GarageBand and hit play on the G4 and my drum pattern was working, but the library said nothing was found (I fiddled with Final Cut Express a few weeks ago and I guess Soundtrack screwed it up). I followed the steps found in this forum to get them working again.
Throughout my search for the Apple loops in various Library folders, I never found my drum loops. There's a couple folders for User Loops but they're empty. That's weird, because when I play the song the drum loops are still in the song. After rebuilding the loop library, I still can't Save As and do an Archive ("to work on another Mac")!
I looked "inside" the song's .band file and it's only got the .aif files from my guitar.
Where does iTunes store custom loops? Why can't a archive-save my file?

If they're part of the project, shouldn't they work
if I copy the file to another computer
Yes. And using the Archive feature should force any loops not within your project (Loops dropped in from the browser) to be copied and stored within it.
Is there a way I can export my green loops to the
GarageBand Library and therefore put them on the filesystem?
The Archive is supposed to take care of this.
The other, long, way around might be to add each of your edited loops to the Browser, find them on your hard drive, copy them to the other computer, and drop them into GB's Browser there. I'm not positive GB would find them when you opened your project there, but that's the only other course of action I can think of at the moment.
Personally, I'd be trying to figure out why an Archived project wasn't working properly before anything else. That could be a sign of something bad and I'd want to find IT before it found me.

  • How to download & save an archive of musical theatre performances on video?

This website has archival clippings I would like to download and save: http://www.bluegobo.com/
and for a particular example to get specific url(s): http://www.bluegobo.com/video/_production.php?var=10094
I am on Mac mini (not Intel) with 10.4.9
I have not been able to find a command to Save or download. TubeSock works for YouTube but not for this website. I have VCL and EasyFind but haven't been able to find a tmp file from Safari cache.
Help, please, I'm stuck. (and there some great archives at Bluegobo.com)!
Mac mini   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   Mac mini OSX 10.4.9

    Hi
sadly the link will give hieroglyphics - though it might behave if you had the vlc plugin, but I haven't tested it.
Let the page of mumbo-jumbo load, then save it from Safari - it may save with a .txt suffix, which you can remove in finder, so it's an xxx.flv file. VLC will then open & play the saved example. ( This I have tested)
In the first example you gave, I used the Safari View menu, then View Source - look carefully at the code & you'll see "annie98_rosie.flv" I copied this part, then set safari to go to http://www.bluegobo.com/video/annie98_rosie.flv
For other flv movies on the same site, you would need to view the source, identify and copy the filename which will be in the format flashvars="file=annie98_rosie.flv ( so you copy the part after the = sign up to the .flv )
Then... if you're doing a few, make a bookmark of http://www.bluegobo.com/video/ open it in Safari, ( you'll get a page not found error, that's ok) and paste the filename you copied onto the end, which is how I got the link I gave which seems like gobbledegook. For each movie, you'd need to do the same - let it finish loading in Safari, save it, lose the txt extension, and then VLC should play it just fine.
I hope that's a bit clearer - I don't know of any simpler way to suggest.
    Andy
    *EDIT*
actually, the http://www.bluegobo.com/video/ page gives a Forbidden error - but that's ok too.

  • Archive disabled via custom install

    Hi,
I setup my custome install to disable archiving of Outlook 2010 email.  Now my management would like to start using it and I'm at a loss as to how to re-enable it.  What would be the best way and/or the quickest way to re-enable manual archiving
in this scenario?  We are in a Windows 2008 R2 domain, if that helps.
    Thanks in advance,
    Linn

You can do this by creating a revised customisation MSPfile and deploying that:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc179141(v=office.14).aspx
    or
Domain GPO might be the simplest way.
Have you used the GPO Admin Templates for Office ?
    example:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee308297(v=office.14).aspx
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc178992(v=office.14).aspx

  • Archive disabled user accounts

We would like to archive off our disabled accounts based on certain aging criteria. Does sunidm have any out of the box feature that does this. Otherwise what are the other options

First of all, what do you mean exactly by archiving ?
Secondly, your question should better be asked on the Sun IDM forum. Anyway, I would say there's nothing out of the box, but you could
develop a workflow to do such a task.
Some customers just disable the users without moving or archiving them. Others move them to a new DIT (directory branch) or a new directory.
As you understand, there're many options to accomplish this.
Basically, why just disabling the users isn't enough for you ? (assuming you already have a backup an archive and backup strategy for your regular
    users at least)

  • Have a SAVE button but disable Menu Save

    Hi there,
I know how to create a SAVE button although is there any way to disable a user from being able to save through the menu.
The problem I am having is that some users are using the SAVE in the menu which is overwriting the original form. I have a created a HUGE save as button but this doesnt seem to be enough.
Obviously I have had to extend user rights
    Hope someone can help
    Thanks
    Will

    Hi Will,
You cannot disable the Save (or Save As) from the File menu. Nor can you disable a user from pressing Control+S.
There are a couple of threads that are along the same lines:

livecycle form - disable save functionality at runtime
    Hope that helps,
