Save As Overwrite Error

I am in a domain network environment with Windows 7 SP1, and I have a user who has Adobe Acrobat 7.0 installed on their workstation. They open a PDF file and want to save the file as a different name, so they go to File --> Save As. In the Save As dialog box, they click on an existing file name (in any directory) which highlights it and then puts the filename in the File name box. The user then clicks in the File name field and changes the file name (e.g. appends it with a 1). When they go to click Save, an error message pops up saying that the filename already exists, replace existing file? If you click Yes, it does save the file with the new name (image below of error). I also tried updating to Acrobat 7.1 and still receive the same error.
Does anyone know why this is happening and if there is a way to get rid of this error?

I haven't the slightest idea what to do or what happened but I can't save anything and it's starting to really frustrate me. Below is the system info:

LIke I said, I sure hope somebody can help me out.   Any suggestions would be appreciated.   The only thing I could think that might be causing this is the fact that I upgraded to Maverick (Apple OSX) about 2.5 weeks ago. But this problem didn't start until about 3 days ago, so surely that's not the issue. Anyway, figured it was worth mentioning.

I found the solution (took forever to consolidate all the answers) for OS X 10.9 + Maverick. Finally!
1. Change permissions (as AOTPR says) to your User/Library/Preferences file so that your admin and user (the one you are using) has read + write permissions within the Get Info pane (command+I). You may have to add them with the sign.
2. Delete Adobe save for web 12.0 Prefs & Adobe save for web 13.0 Prefs files within the User/ Library/ Preferences folder. These may be hidden for some people, so when in a finder window, hold Option(alt) and click Go from the main top menu (keep holding Option/Alt) and click Library — the full Preferences folder should open for you.
3. Change the view when in Save for web pane in PS. If you have it in Cover Flow — it won't work. Change it to another view like List or Columns view.
Presto! Works for me on Maverick.

Production Order with follow-up material unble to save due to error CKBK009

Dear Expert,
When we apply discontintion/follow-up material setting, production order is not able to save. Error message "CKBK009 - No price could be determine for material.....".
SAP Help indicates :
"No price could be determined for material .......... Message no. CKBK009
Diagnosis :
The system could not determine a price for valuation view 0, because no valuation
strategy succeeded from valuation variant 006.
System Response :
Since the input quantity is zero for this material item, the costing result is not
affected by this error at the pricing stage.
The standard system defines this message as an error message. However, you
can use user-defined error management to specify that the message is a warning

I keep getting "cannot save library file error -50 when I open up iTunes on my PC
Won't download music purchased on iPhone4 to iTunes in my PC

Same issue here. Running Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and newest version of iTunes. Normally happens when I am ripping a CD into iTunes and by chance multi task or the screen saver kicks in.
What ***** is if you walk away while ripping a CD(because it takes 3 times as long in iTunes vs any other ripper), and it will halt your ripping until you click "ok". I have not tried the "dont tell me again" check box just in case it is a problem I need to know about. This happened about 2 or 3 days after upgrading to Vista and I got an empty library the next time I opened the library. Somehow it got corrupted. Luckily I back up the xml file and just restored that one file from last back up.
(off subject but also getting the maxed our processor still in the newest version for Windows Vista. Wish they would fix that!)

Fill-in PDF forms and save with no error messages. How?

I've saved a Reader Extended PDF enabling form fill-in and save, but users report error saying, "WITHOUT THE OWNER PASSWORD YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO SAVE THIS DOCUMENT." What do I need to do enable them to fill-in and save with no errors?

BTW, most users of this form (which was created in Adobe Acrobat v. XI on a Mac w/iOS version 10.7.5) have no problem with it. Only certain users (on Macs) have this "password required" error show up. How do I make it workable for everyone, including these Mac users?

i have a core2duo, xp sp3 running 8GB of ram
3.5GB as my main memory, 4.5GB as my virtual memory.
setup by Gavotte Ramdisk.
and my photoshop cs3 scratch disk is set to a 500GB drive with more 300GB of free space. and i let photoshop cs3 uses upto 100% of the memory (1707MB) and i'm pretty sure i've read all the memory optimization for photoshop cs3 that i could find on the web...
yet i still get this error when trying to save an image using save for web.
my image dimension is 2560x1600 72dpi and saving using jpg high quality 60 settings, the image size is showing 702K. but once i click on save, this msg shows up...

I have 200gb available on my hard drive as well. I am also experiencing the same issue. Plenty of RAM, plenty of hard drive space. I'm getting more an more of the not enough scratch disk errors, even though I've got 2 scratch disks on separate volumes. I know the files I'm working on a pretty large, but normally I'm saving web versions from print resolution files. Photoshop should handle it. Older versions on slower machines would. I'm sure the error is something else, even though it's telling me that there is not enough room.
For me it appears it's only with the preview though.

Illustrator CS4 - "Can't save illustration." Error

While working on a website mockup I ran into a rather worrisome error - "Can't save illustration."
I can export as .png, .jpg but cannot "Save" or "Save As" regardless of the file type.
The particular document/file contains 1 graphic made in Photoshop and a few downloaded vectors, but removing those particular items does not seem to help.
I read that the error can be caused by fonts so I changed all fonts to Arial(standard system font), and even tried changing type to outlines.. again, nothing helped.
I've also tried copy/pasting everything to a new document to no avail.
All content is on single layer, if it matters.
My system(osx 10.8.5) is running on little available memory, but even removing what I would assume to be the more taxing files doesn't help - the "Can't save illustration." error persists. Needless to say, I'm very worried.
Any thoughts/ideas on how to remedy this problem?

Tried printing to PostScript file (did not see specifically PDF printer), and received an error stating there was not enough memory, or object too complex. I tried reducing the object and artboard to 1/4 it's original size, problem persists.

you are using different schema for your target tables. i mean you are creating target datastore different from where your sources located.
suppose that you have staging and target schema. you have to create your tables in staging if sources are located at staging area.
if you want to use target schema, you have to configure one more logical schema at topology tab.
and select new logical schema when you are establishing your new interface at overview tab.

ITunes 7.3 can't save library (Unknown error -50) ?????????????

So ever since i update to 7.3 my itunes is totally screwed up. it always says this when i reopen it: "iTunes 7.3 can't save library (Unknown error -50)"
not only do i have to redo whatever changes i make to my itunes but it lost a song i recently purchased because it "cant save" my itunes library. this is so frustrating. is there going to be a 7.3.1 coming out anytime soon to fix this problem because i know I'm not the only one who has it!!

If you're getting that one on iTunes 7.3.0.54, try an upgrade to iTunes 7.3.1.3. (Note that Michael, who replied to you earlier in the thread, is reporting that here: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=4923385#4923385 )

Save for Web Error, Unique

In my PS CS5 trial (Mac 64 bit): When attempting to Save for Web, or save a PNG or BMP I am receiving the below error. It is very generic and unlike the others I had been reading about the similar write permission issue.
In attempt to resolve this issue I have updated Photoshop and even tried Write Permission fixes in vain. I have also gone into the application settings and changed the program to open in 64 bit.
I have been scouring the forums and the web for someone with this exact problem and have not found a solution. I am not the admin of this machine, but have read + write permissions. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I was just going to play around by generating some bitmaps programatically.
I started off with this simple example, expecting everything to go smoothly, but have run into a strange error.
The following code is by no means good, just something simple and complete I would expect to work:

This runs fine until the SavePicture(...) function is called.
I get the exception:
"A generic error occurred in GDI+."
at the this.myBitmap.Save(...); line.
Most likely there is some detail that I have overlooked, and I appreciate it if anyone could point out to me what I could do to fix it.
But, I'd like to think that this code would work, it makes sense, and requires little effort, that should be one of the goals of .net
Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated!

Actually, the fix is to properly dispose of your objects in order. This is one advantage of C#, with the using() syntax:

Notice how I dispose (end the using) of the graphics parameter, before I save it? You don't have to use the using() statements, just call Dispose() at the end of the scope I show above.
I ran into this problem today on Azure (works locally in the cloud, just an Azure 1.3 thing!), and I saw the link to the blog post above. That was a good link, as it pointed me in the direction of disposing the graphics earlier.
But, there is no point of increasing hte memory usage of two bitmaps if you dispose of your graphics properly before saving.

Purchase order is getting saved even though there are error messages triggered via BADI in the POST method.
I've tried both:
MMPUR_MESSAGE_FORCED 'A' 'ME' '303' TEXT-001 '' '' '' .
MMPUR_MESSAGE_FORCED 'E' 'ME' '303' TEXT-001 '' '' '' .
Still the purchase order gets saved when the save button is clicked.
