Save As Reference Movies for More than 1 file

Hi,
Okay, so I have like 25 AVI/MPG files that I want to save as MOV Referenced Files using Quicktime Pro. I know, I can do by opening 1 at a time and using Save As Option.
However, the question is; Is there a script or automated way to do for all the AVI/MPG files with a single click or something automatic?

Only thing i can think of is instead of using a MAC ACL , u cud jus use the default class

Besides these problems, there is the battery, which was bad got worse, she is not lasting more than 10 hours, even without using the phone.
Sometimes it even seems that the problem was solved, but my joy did not last long after I celebrate all the problems return, is incredible ...

Central template for more than one file?

I am hoping to use InDesing CS5 in a few days and I am wondering whether it is possible to place a central template file and use this file for several "connected" files. We want to start layouting articles for a magazine but are not sure of the final footer and header. Because there is more than one person working on the magazine we are layouting every article in seperate files.
How can we make sure that when the template changes we don't have to change every single file?

Templates don;t work any differently in ID than they did in Quark, as far as I recall.
Perhaps you don't really mean "Template," which is a framework document. A template can be very simple or quite complex, containing a single page or many, pre-placed text and images that will appear in all documents (or placeholders for images and text to show correct positioning), along wiht the swatches and styles that shold be used. Templates can also contain multiple different master pages for different types of document page layouts that may or may not be included as live pages.
When you use a template, you get a new, untitled copy of the layout containing everything that was in the template, but you are not working in the template itself (unless deliberately opeing it "as original" in order to make template revisions. The template file remains unchanged and each new document you make froom it starts in the same state and must be saved as a new file with a new name.
We often see people ask if it's possible to change a template and have all files that were made based on that template udate automatically to reflect the changes. The answer to that is no. There is no link to the template the way there is to a placed image, for example, or the way there is between an overridden master item on the document page and its original on the master page.

Lightroom - Photoshop Integration breaks for more than one file

This message is for those of us who process lots of images. I just spend a n afternoon working with Lightroom 1.0 to process the 900+ images taken at a sporting event over the weekend. My task is to find the keepers, and then run a custom action in Photoshop on every one of those files to prepare the files for delivery to the client.
Its pretty clear anyone doing serious noise reduction or sharpening work needs to have PS right now, but even if those limitations are addressed, let's assume there's always going to be something that needs to be done in Photoshop.
The problem is the current integration of Photoshop and Lightroom seems to be based on a single file, i.e. there's no batch capabilities, but I need to be able to set up and run recorded Photoshop actions on 900 files! (OK, only half were keepers, but you get the idea.)
The workaround is to export all of the files out of Lightroom into a directory, and then run a batch process to create a second directory of the processed files. I now have 900 files that aren't in Lightroom's database! Unfortunately Lightroom doesn't recognize files on the hard drive, and so if you're using Lightroom as a file manager, in six months I'll never know those post-processed files are even there.
Sure, I can delete the first directory, but I'll definitely want to keep the final files around for later. The only option is to then run another import on the final directory, which creates more down time.
The problem is the chances of getting out of sync are huge, plus there's no association between the original and processed versions as happens when you edit from within Lightroom. (In that case the original and processed are stacked.)
Now, the 1.0 version is amazing, and I consider the program to be one of the best programs ever designed. This is just a request to consider tackling this problem in version 2.0.

Yes, that's a big improvement in 1.0. The only problem is it only works for one file :-(
Overall I've found stacking to be less useful in other contexts, unfortunately. For me at least its been easier to just go through all of the photos initially to rank them, and then only show the candidates to send to clients.

Exported Slideshow Repeats Intro Slide for more than one minute

I created a slideshow in iPhoto 9.5.1. I exported the slideshow as a movie. When I play the exported movie, it repeats the intro slide in the middle of the movie for more than a minute at a time. Any advice? Thank you so much!

Does the slideshow play correctly in iPhoto? Did you create the slideshow directly from an album and then exported it for from the slideshow mode?
NOTE: slideshows created in albums with the photos sorted manually will not play correctly. Only photos sorted by one of the other options play as they should.

It stays that way until it is turned off for more than a minute. If I do a restart, it holds the setting, but loses it when it is shut down for any period of time. Does anyone else have this issue? The setting holds for photos taken with camera storing to SD card. Only the email attachment setting does not hold.

I believe that system has a hall sensor on it to detect when the lid is closed so it can put the system to sleep and/or disable the monitor so it can be used with an external monitor only. If the sensor is marginal or has a bad cable, it may intermittently cut the monitor on and off, and may likewise put the system to sleep. One way to check would be to plug in an external monitor and if the laptop's screen cuts off or doesn't show up, start using the trackpad and press on a non-typing key like the shift key. If the external display suddenly pops and becomes active while the laptop display remains black, it's probably a problem with the sensor or the cable/connection. You might be able to fool the sensor into kicking on and off by moving a magnet over it. It's located on the left had side of the base with the unit opened up, and right over the audio output plug.
I know of some people that put a small magnet right over the hall sensor's location so the laptop display turns off and they use the system with an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. If fooling with magnets, make sure they're small and don't get them close to the hard drive because a strong magnet can wipe them out.
I don't know if this will help you much, but it might.

The size of you HD is calculated binary when it comes to use it, instead of decimal when companies want to advertise there products. 1 KB=1024Byte instead of 1000KB as advertised by the manufacturer. In your case this reduces the actual available space by the factor of 0.93 or approx. 7,4GB.
If you have an "other" section in your color bar showing the different types of data on your ipod, which is bigger than 500MB, this could be a sign of corrupt data caused by a sync that did not complete or copied damaged data. A restore will reduce the size to normal again.

If you restore your ipod, iTunes will install the newest firmware first and then add back your data and settings from your last backup if you choose to "restore from backup". Every backup is replaced by the following one, so make sure to include this folder in your backup routine in case you'll have to go back.

Can a QuickTime movie play for more than 60 seconds per page

Can a Quicktime movie be set to play for more than 1 minute per page in Keynote. I have clips that run up to 3 minutes. For now I have pulled the clip into 3 different pages and set the times to match but I get a 10 second delay between the pages that is very distracting.

That would indicate an issue with the local network, not internet. This can impact devices differently and will likely be more obvious on a streaming only device.
If you are on wifi try ethernet
Make sure DNS is set to auto (settings - general - network)
Go to istumbler, netstumbler or similar to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

Using i3 - keys start to lag (have to hold key for more than 1 second)

I'm using i3 and am having trouble with the keys suddenly and I have to restart the session to get it back to normal. No clue what it could be. I can use gnome, cinnamon, wmii, and awesome without issue, but i3 is what causes me problems.
When I type, I have to hold each key for more than 1 second before it registers. So in order to type "boat" I have to press and hold b for a second, then o for a second or so, same with a and t. Any idea what I should check first?

It just seems to happen randomly. When I'm typing, on the web, playing a game, etc. It's not like it's happening whenever I do a specific task or am running a specific application.

We have a requirement where internet user act as a reseller and can place order for more than one customer in ISA R/3 edition. In the XCM configuration i have selected the user as R3_SU01UserStandalone and then followed the activity given in the SAP Document:

You have not specified whether the scenario is MTO or MTS. If it is MTO, stock will be allocated against sale order as and when MFBF is done. If it is MTS, then go to OMJJ, select Movement Type and give 292 and execute. Now select "Field selection (Enjoy)" tab on your left and there maintain the option as Required Entry for the field "KDAUF" and save.
Now go to MB1A, give movement type 292 with special stock W, plant and storage location and execute so that the system will ask for sold to party code. Give the sold to party code and enter material code, stock to be reserved and save.
If you see in MMBE now, those stocks will be displayed as special stock.

Thanks Shootist007, by blockd files I mean files that I have changed to blocked and when I tried to move then for the first time, I had to unblock again. I am trying to backup my pictures, my songs and other files like word documents and excel tables. First I put all of them as blocked, what caused the first problems on trying to move them. Then, I've unchecked the block option and if I try to move one by one, there is no problem. The issue is to move all together, because it gets stuck in the preparing to copy files step. Anyway, if I cannot do all by once, I'll do it one by one, event though that was not suposed to happen if we are talking about technology, right? Anyway, I thank you again for trying to help me!
