Save as type shows default as web page instead of excel

Hi.
After exporting the data to excel,When we try to do a save as to the excel,the default type is shown as '"web page".We neded the default save as type to be shown as excel...
Any pointers would be of great help

OUtlook was already set as the mail client for FF, and is my operating system (XP)'s default mail programme. therefore problem not solved at all. what I get whenever I follow a link in a webpage to send an e-mail is a little pop up window asking me to sign in to gmail or open an account. any other suggestions?

Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
"Develop" menu will appear in the Safari menu bar
Enable Images.
Make sure that"Disable Images" is not enabled.

Playing video in web page instead of full screen

There is no "web authoring for iPad" forum. So I apologize for posting in the inappropriate section.
I have a web page with multiple video feeds, each with its own playlist, all playing at the same time. This works well with computer browsers. But the iPad/iPod/iPhones keep opening one video full screen. Is there a way to get the videos to play in their place on the web page instead?

Only the iPad is capable of playing videos in place. iPhone and iPod Touch will always open videos in a separate Quicktime window. I don't believe you have to do anything special for the video to play in place on iPad. Just embed the video as normal.

Many of my bookmarks give me BBC web pages instead of what's indicated.

Almost half of my bookmarks (eg. "hotmail", "Amazon" ) open a BBC news web page instead. I imported them from Internet Explorer, but they work in that browser.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

"Slide show" for a web page

Hi all! I have a client who wants me to make a slide show to go on his web page. Up until now, I've been creating animated gifs. But now he wants the slides to fade or dissolve in to one another. I can do this in iMovie. But... the slide show has to be a specific size. I'm not sure in iMovie how to make a specifically sized movie. Plus, I'm not sure of the best way to save it. SWF? I've posted on the iMovie forum, but didn't get any helpful responses. I've looked online for help, but apparently I'm not using the right search criteria. All I find are instructions on making movies to run off of a computer.... not on a web page.
Oh... it also needs to loop continuously. Is this a setting I set in Dreamweaver? Animated gifs are set to loop when I create them in Photoshop. But I couldn't figure out how to do this in iMovie.

HTML code is showing up on web page! HELP!

I'm trying to write an index.html on TextEdit but every time I try to open it the HTML code doesn't render and the code just shows on the page. I saved it as a web page with the extension as HTML so I don't believe that the extension is the problem. Help?

How are you trying to open it? It must be opened in your browser. It must be located in your web server's user directory, and the web server must be running.
So in your browser you would put an address something like http://localhost/~yourusername/ or http://localhost/~yourusername/index.html

How to increase type size on 1 web page (Amazon)

Every web page I open is the same size type, etc. EXCEPT one (Amazon) which the type is so very small it's non-readable.
What can I do to fix the problem?

Safari Will Not Show Any Cached Web Pages From Any Website.

Basically my problem is exactly as stated in the heading. Any web page I try to view a cached snapshot of returns: "Your search did not match any documents." Up until a week or so ago, I could cache any web page, unless it truly was to old to display a cached snapshot. It would never highlight the key words typed in the search bar when the cached option was selected, but it always showed the page. Now it will not cache any page.
The links are not broken, because I can search every page from my desktop computer with no problems. It's only on my iPhone. I could try to view 5,000 cached web pages, and every one of them returns the same message: "Your search did not.....". I've cleared my history, cache, cookies, as well as log off, and power down the phone, and turn it back on. Nothing fixes the issue. I have the latest update, and have no other problems with my phone at all. Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions? This is very frustrating. A google search turned up nothing. This has to have happened to more people than just me. Hopefully I don't have to use the cache feature to find the answer:)

The small symbols for bookmarks in the list does not show the right web page symbol? How can I get this right?

I have a lot of short cuts to web pages in the list just under the web address. The symbol showing should be that of the web page but for some of the links the symbol shows the wrong symbol. For example it could be that CNN has the symbol of BBC (I don't have this exact problem but just as an example).

I have added birthdays to my address book. These dates then show up on my iCal.
I then publish these birthday via iCal, the only thing is, my wife birthday, which is on 12/31 does not show up. ALL OTHER date do.?
Anyone one knows why Dec. 31 birthdays do not via the web page created by iCal?

My searches show up in web pages.

I thought I'd set up Firefox for max security from intrusive searches. I keep seeing ads showing up in numerous web pages from searches that I've made. Leading me to believe FF isn't safe any more. My Extensions are; flashblock, adblock, blur, duckduckgo +, https everywhere, what else do I need !!!??? The privacy in FF about not recording my history in FF is irrelavent, I don't want my searches and other actions appearing on websites.

I don't know if it took some time, or that the following steps worked:
1. Clear cache and data from Google Play Store app
2. Clear cache and data from Download Manager app
3. Clear cache and data from Google Play Framework
4. Restart the device and download a Google app (Google+ in my case).
Whatever helped, now everything is ok.
