I have a save an opened image. How do I "Save As" or create a copy yet not close the original image? Need to keep both images open.

Image menu > Duplicate, then Command S.

How to open a folder inside a folder, without closing the first?

I can't find a way to open a sub-folder, inside a mainfolder, without closing the main folder.
What's even worse, if you hold "option" or "command," (old OS9 muscle memory kicking in) it opens the new folder but wipes-out the ability to use the back button! So then if you needed that main folder open, and it's deep inside some chain, you have to go searching for it again.
So, is there any fix for this?

Problems such as yours are sometimes caused by files that should belong to you but are locked or have wrong permissions. This procedure will check for such files. It makes no changes and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
First, empty the Trash, if possible.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.

The output of this command, on a line directly below what you entered, will be a number such as "41." Please post it in a reply.

Can anyone tell me how I can close a numbers document without closing the entire app? i.e. go back to the folders display page - is this even possible?

It is not a bug, but a new feature. 
Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you use the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F to open the File menu or other menus like the Edit menu (Alt+E) and Bookmarks menu (Alt+B) and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by tapping Alt or by pressing F10.

Hi All,
I found the solution for this. I have created a new page. Then i created an item as link item style in the parent page and i have set the following properties in the Link item:
Destination URI : OA.jsp?page=/seagate/oracle/apps/seasoa/que/webui/SeaSoaHeaderDetailPG&headerId={@ErrHeaderId}&retainAM=Y&addBreadCrumb=Y&backPage=S
Target Frame : _blank
This is opening the new child window without closing the parent window.

1.I would like to close the last tab without closing the app. The behaviour I expect is the app to open a new blank tab when I close the last tab. Currently I cannot close the last tab which already has some website opened in it.
2. When I open a new tab, i'm forced to enter a website address. I expect to the app to simply open a blank new tab & leave it to me whether to enter a address or not.

well, I would prefer to leave it to the end user whether he wants the awesome screen while pressing a new tab button/ or open a simple blank page. Let him choose it in the config.

You can tap one of the keyboard Function (F) keys. Without knowing which keyboard you use it 's a little difficult to say. If you don't have a keyboard shortcut to do that, create one in System Preferences - Keyboard. I have my F6 key set to take me directly to the desktop. However the way your question is phrased I'm not positive that is what you are asking.

How to see inbox/ other mail without closing the e-mail I'm writing?

If I'm writing an e-mail, I don't seem to be able to switch to my in-box without closing and saving the e-mail first (it's like having an open dialogue box in windows, where you can see but not access the program underneath until you close the box). Can I not have multiple e-mails open at the same time? Or look at my in-box or sent mail while I write? I didn't realize how often I need to check a previous message while writing the current one until now, when I can't do it except laboriously!

Thanks!! Trying to implement your solution made me realize what my problem was. My default mail setting seemed to be full screen, and in full screen mode I can't access the inbox or buttons underneath the open e-mail. But as soon as I shrink the e-mail slightly in order to see the top menu bar, it allowed me to not only access the menu bar, but also brought the whole inbox and associated tools alive.
With a little playing, I figured out to bring to the foreground function, as well as various ways to see multiple e-mails side-by-side, or switch between them from both the Window menu, as well as from the dock.
Many thanks for your help! While so far I have successfully googled all the things I couldn't figure out how to do, I didn't seem to be able to create search terms that were giving me a meaningful answer to this particular question.
It's a big learning curve, but oh so worth it!

How to "go to a page in another document" without closing currently open document?

I've created a form that used a button to jump to another pdf document. This second document is included in the first document as an attachment so that the whole package can be sent to people as one document.
It works well but the problem is that when the button is selected the document that is already open is closed (albeit with a save document prompt).
There seems to be no way to keep the existing document open whilst the second document (the linked document) is opened.
Is there a solution to this?

Go to the button's Properties and edit the "Go to a page view" action
you've created. Edit the "Open In" option and set it to "New Window".

We are facing issue while closing the old purchase order(18.12.2007) for MRP run, if we are clicking delivery completed for the particular line item ,system is showing the error NET PRICE MUST BE GREATER THAN ZEROthough we have made GR and IR aganist the line item an value is also showing in the purchase order history tab, but in the condition tab there is no value showing for the particular line item .Kindly suggest the way forward.

one thing for sure, you cannot proceed without maintaining proper conditions in the PO.
Why they are not there or not anymore there is probably caused by customizing or vendor master data changes.
