SAVE button in Std Toolbar

I don't know how to get the SAVE button to stop uploading my
file in DW-CS3. It would just save it to my local drive before, and
now (the day or so) it always uploads to my FTP site without me
PUTTING the file there. How do I get it to stop trying to upload
the file when I click the save button in the Standard
Toolbar?

In the Remote Site definition, disable Automatic PUT on Save.

Does Pages 2 have a save button in the toolbar?

Anyone know if Pages 2.0 has a save button in the toolbar? Also, is there a button to show invisibles instead of a drop down menu? This is one of the most missed features. I couldn't tell from the images.

Just out of curiosity, could you describe how you use the Save button in AppleWorks?
Do you let go of the keyboard, move your hand to the mouse, move the cursor to the button and click it and then move the hand back to the keyboard, or do you usually have your hand on the mouse anyhow, so you just have to move the cursor and click? Or do you have some other trick?
I'm honestly curious. The first thing I do in almost any application is to turn off the toolbars and use the shortcuts instead. (⌘+S for save and ⇧⌘I for show invisibles, but you probably knew that already.)

Why is there no automatic save button in the toolbar?

this is a very annoying omission. I like to save my work with a quick button instead of going through the "File" tab. Is there a way to get this on there?

Locate what you want to have a keyboard shortcut for and note it's exact spelling, upper and lower case.
Then go to:
+Menu > Apple > System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts > click on little plus sign bottom left corner > Application: > Scroll right to the bottom > Other… > Locate Pages inside the iWork folder of the Applications folder > Select > Menu Title: > type exact name of menu item > Keyboard Shortcut: > type key combination required (make it unique) > Add+
You may need to restart the application but when you do it will have the keyboard shortcut against the menu item.

Usage of insert button in Std ALV toobar (OOPs)

Hi Experts,
I have developed an ALV(oops) with cl_gui_alv_grid. I have the std toolbar and do NOT want to disable it.
what i need is when i click on insert button in std toolbar, i need to make a field editable.
The func code for insert is &LOCAL&INSERT_ROW ( see in e_object->mt_toolbar).
I am unable to trap the func code. i tried to make use of this func code iand use it in the handle_toolbar method (e_ucomm). Its not going into debugging mode even when i set break point.
i want to write code as:
when '&LOCAL&INSERT_ROW'.
     further validation.
Can someone help me how to get the sy-ucomm and do my validation?

You can achieve this by defining Style Table for Cells.
For eg:
Begin of <str>
include structure mara.
    celltab TYPE lvc_t_styl,
end of <str>
data: lt_tab type table of <str>,
         wa like line of lt_tab,
        lt_celltab TYPE lvc_t_styl,
        ls_celltab TYPE lvc_s_styl.
LOOP AT lt_tab INTO wa.
IF matnr IS NOT INITIAL.
       ls_celltab-fieldname = 'MATNR'.
       ls_celltab-style = cl_gui_alv_grid=>mc_style_disabled.
       INSERT ls_celltab INTO TABLE lt_celltab.
endif.
INSERT LINES OF lt_celltab INTO TABLE ls_profile_tabval-celltab.
endloop.

Customization on SAVE button

We have Oracle Applications 11i (11.5.10.2) .
I have one query regd. oracle Form customization.
For me, it is necessary to put customization logic on SAVE button lying on toolbar.
My problem cannot be solved using custom.pll .
Can you please give me any idea ?

Thanks for your reply.
Due to some complex logic , it is difficult to do the same using personanization.
My probelm is explained below.
I had done a customization on Order Organizor form in OM in which user cannot booked the sales order without entering certain information.
They can booked the order only after valid and complete information.
After booking the SO, user can add more lines even though the customized logic is not satisfied means customized logic is bypassed hence I want to
put the same logic on save button so that it will fire every time whether SO in entered or booked stage.
I hope you understood my query ...
Now, let me know any alternate about the same.

Disable Print and Save button in tooldbar in AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF

I am using AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF to display pdf files in my C# winform application.
I have a requirement now that for some documents alone i should disable the print and save button in the toolbar of my AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF window.
I need the rest of the buttons in the toolbar to be working.
Can someone please tell me how to disable these buttons in my c# code. What property i hsould set to my AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF object to make this happen.

There is nothing you can do via the C# APIs to disable these buttons.

The user should not allow him to click on that Button.Alreasy i have created one more Button in the Bottom level of the Form.

SAVE button doesn't appear in Toolbar of Text Edit Control

I need to save the changes made to the text in my Text Edit Control, i know how to handle the Save command but my problem is the SAVE button doesn't appear in the Toolbar of the Text Editor. I have searched through the SDN but in all of those threads they already have the SAVE button and hence only the logic was discussed. But i need the SAVE button to appear in my Text Edit Control. Looking forward for your helpful answers.

Check the demo program SAPSCRIPT_DEMO_NOTE_EDITOR what ever you enter in the editor you get the text using method
call method note_editor->get_text_as_stream

Which trigger fires after pressing 'Save' button on toolbar.

I wanted to know which triggers get fired after pressing 'save' button on toolbar, and in which sequence it get's fired.

When you press 'save' it tries to do a commit_form.
Before commiting the form, it checks for any errors which might occur at form level, block level or item level and does the commit only when it doesn't find one.

Commit button on panelCollection toolbar facet does not save changes

Using ADF 11.
I have a master-detail relationship.
The master is in panelFormLayout.
The detail is af:table enclosed by af:panelCollection.
On the toolbar facet of the af:panelCollection, I have put a Commit button to save changes on the master table.
When pressing Commit, the changes on the master are not saved.
If I put the Commit button outside the toolbar facet of the af:panelCollection, it works.
Is there a way to have the Commit button working inside the toolbar facet of the af:panelCollection?

we have same issue, it seem to apply value only in the panelCollection.

Disable save button in toolbar in offline form

Hi to all !
I am facing a wierd problem in my adobe interactive offline form.
I have added a save button in my offline form . I have added validation script on this button.
Hence I want the user to use this button only.So I want to disable the save button that comes in the adobe reader for every user of this particular form.
i know that their is a similar functionality for wd adobe form but i am creating an offline form, and i do not know how to disable the button in this case.
So please help me

if you're trying to hide the Save Button in the Adobe toolbar, then you can place the following code in the wdDoModifyView method to hide the whole toolbar.

There are no user exits or badi's for COOIS. You may have to make copy of the PPIO_ENTRY to ZPPIO_ENTRY including all the varians without changing their names like copy SAP&COOIS to SAP&COOIS. Create a T-Code ZCOOIS and replace COOIS in variant SAP&COOIS to ZCOOIS not in the name of the variant but in the field "Check Authorization for".
The PF-Status is found in the include LCOISOUTPUTF16 which is located in the function group COISOUTPUT you may have to copy that too. Finally you need to copy SAPLCOISOUTPUT with its GUI status GENERAL and add your custom button there.

Hi,
1)you need to give the function code to that save in the Function Keys of that screen from the GUI Status.
2) while filling the field catalog of that field you need to put the
wa_fieldcat_edit-edit = c_x.
i.e use the edit and append to that field catalog internal table.
