Save Camera Setting

Hi all,
Does anybody know how to save the camera setting so I won't have to manually turn off the flash everytime I using camera? The settings should be the same as last used.
Thanks.

hi
In camera mode, press options then settings, scroll down and look for memory in use...

  • Why can't I save camera raw defaults?

I am currently unable to reset my camera raw defaults in CS5 (Camera raw 6.5).  When I click on "Save Camera Raw Defaults", the changes do not show up when I open up a new image using Adobe Bridge. I seem to be stuck with the changes I made some time ago. What could be happening?

Camera Raw uses the same settings you used last time to open a file.  That's just the way it works.  The defaults you set will be used on any image you haven't opened before.
In order to revert an image that's been opened before to the new defaults, you need to do one of the following:
    1.  Choose Camera Raw Defaults from the menu:
    2.  Depending on how you have configured Camera Raw to remember your past settings, either delete the sidecar XMP files or go into Edit - Preferences - Camera Raw... and purge your Camera Raw cache if you'd like to throw away all previous settings and have future opens use your new defaults.

  • In linux, saving a background image (set as Desktop)feature doesnt download my image to wallpaper folder..or even to standard "Save download" feature. Can I tell firefox where (what folder) to save my "Set as Desktop" picture?

When I find a suitable picture to use as wallpaper" I often right click and use the menu item "Set as Desktop Background". The file ""example.jpg" is saved in directory\folder "/home/user" rather than for example "/home/user/my wallpaper" or in the directory
"/home/user/Downloads". The latter as being set under the "Downloads" section on the "General" tab in the "Preferences" dialog box.
Is there a configuration file where I can change the default location to save my "Set as Desktop Background" images. Or better still can the menu be customized to launch the application that allows me to set my desktop wallpapers?
I am using the "PCLinuxOS" Linux OS but I have encountered this issue in many if not all the Linux distributions I have sampled.

Don't use "Set as Desktop". Use ''' "Save Image As..." ''' instead, and file it with your other "wallpaper" images so the operating system has access to those images.
IIRC, Firefox saves a "desktop image" to the Profile folder, and it will only save one image, at that. Change the image and the previous one is gone.

  • Tabs: previous versions allowed for saving all tabs in a bookmark folder. The new tab groups do not behave this way. How can I save permanent set of tabs as a group that is available later, like the folder of bookmars was?

tabs: previous versions of firefox allowed for saving all tabs with a group name, so you could open them all again later at your convenience. The new firefox 4.0.1 has a new tab feature, but the tab groups do not seem to persist once you shut down, and are not saved as a folder in your bookmarks. What am I missing? How can I do what I want (save permanent set of tabs as a group that is available later, like the folder of bookmarks was)? Thanks

Right click one of the tabs, the "Bookmark all tabs..." option.
Does it do what you want?

  • How to find out the save as setting information in illustrator cs3?

How to find out the save as setting information in illustrator cs3 through programmatically. I saved the file using the setting like Overprint, EmbedAllFonts, IncludeDocumentThumbnails throgh scripting. But i don't know how to find out the save as setting information(Overprint, EmbedAllFonts, IncludeDocumentThumbnails) whether the checkbox true or not through scripting. Kindly advice me.

Thanks for your response. Some time the operator will set the wrong "save as setting" in the eps file . So i need to check wheather the operator set the correct save as setting or not. If the operator set the wrong save as setting,  i need to inform while running the script. So please advice me how to find out the save as setting information of the active document file, and then inform to the operator if any improper "save as setting" occured.

  • How can I save a set of rules to easily make a number of changes at once in Adobe Acrobat 9?

So as of right now I'm importing a huge old paper trail into PDF format via scanning. Once those files are scanned, is there a way I can set up a simple rule or save a set of processes as a rule to:
    A) Add a watermark that says "DEPOSIT" and the date.
    B) OCR the document
    C) Remove blank scanned pages (I understand the white page is an image of a white page saved in the field).
A one-click solution would be optimal. I understand it's never that easy, but if you guys know any way to streamline it rather than going through these processes on every file (there are thousands in separate folders/days) I'd appreciate the help.

You can use a batch process to do the first two things. Removing blank pages is not possible in general, particularly for scanned pages since they will never be devoid of content. It would be possible to use JavaScript to see which pages do not have any text on them after OCR and then delete those pages, but it's not clear to me if this would be sufficient.

  • I use a mac ios and shoot raw in a cannon 5d mark ii and shortly upon import of my images lightroom darkens and changes my images. This has happened before but not every time. The strange part is my last shoot had the same camera setting but this did not

I use a mac ios and shoot raw in a cannon 5d mark ii and shortly upon import of my images lightroom darkens and changes my images. This has happened before but not every time. The strange part is my last shoot had the same camera setting but this did not happen. The images i have now i can not use after lightroom has automatically altered them even if i try editing back to how they looked upon import

First thing to do is to change the default camera profile applied in Lightroom to camera standard (assuming that you shoot Canon or Nikon). Also make sure that your camera is NOT set up to use any of the HDR modes. Nikon calls those Active Dynamic Lighting. On Canons you often see things like highlight priority mode or "Auto Lighting Optimizer". Make sure that the picture style is set to standard and that for newer Canons the HDR mode is turned off. Most of the HDR modes simply underexpose the image and then add an instruction in the raw file to compensate for this to prevent highlights from being blown out. This causes more noise in the shadows and if you know what you are doing there is no point to this as you should simply expose correctly and get the highest quality raw.
Lastly, make sure that in Lightroom you have not checked "Apply Auto Tone Adjustments" in Preferences->Presets. This should make the default rendering of the raw files the same as the in-camera jpeg (what the camera shows on the back even if you shoot raw) but still give you all the latitude of raw files.

  • Jpeg camera setting for Lightroom inport

Hi, I have a Canon s3is that I use to shoot maybe 1,000 pictures a week. I have been trying out the Lightroom demo and really love the way it help me process all the pictures. Most of the pictures are used to document processes, so gallery level images are not required. But for about 5% of the pictures I need to get the best possible resulting image within the constraints of the capabilities of the s3is. Ideally I would like the camera to support a raw format which would give me the most flexibility to get those perfect final images in lightroom, but the s3is only supports jpeg image output. Are there optimum camera setting for minimizing the processing the camera will do and then do any processing in lightroom. Or is it better to just let camera try and optimize the image and then do any remaining work in lightroom.
Getting a new camera is not an option at this time.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Jay

    You have two choices.
I have an S3 and have come up with the settings I feel are best for post-processing. They are:
    Contrast -2
    Sharpness -2
    Saturation -1
    Green -1
Of course, always shoot at maximum resolution.
The other option is to get the CHDK hack for the S3, which gives it RAW mode. You can use a DNG converter to convert the resulting images to a Lightroom-readable format. http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ

  • Failed to save scale setting

I tried to increase the number of instances for an Azure WebApp (DNN website) from one to two.
    I got the following error:
Failed to save scale setting. Not enough available reserved instance servers to satisfy this request. Currently 0 instances are available. If you are changing instance size you can reserve up to 0 instances at this moment. If you are increasing instance
count then you can add extra 0 instances at this moment.
Is this related to my configuration within Azure, or the Data Centre (we are using North Europe), or some other issue ?

    Hi EddyCromption,
What is the App Service plan pricing tier for the website ? If it is Free, recommend you to try upgrading it to Shared / Basic / Standard and try increasing the count.
You will not be able to increase the instance count for Free tier.
Please share the website url if you think, Pricing tier is not the issue.

  • How can I require a password to change the "Require password after sleep or screen saver begins" setting

My son has a habit of disabling the "Require password after sleep or screen saver begins" setting whenever my wife lets him play a game on her account.  I notice every other setting on the "Security & Privacy -> General" tab is protected by the lock on the lower left corner.  I've never understood why this one is not.  Is there any way that I can get that setting to also be controlled by the lock?

Because that setting is specific to the account currently logged in and doesn't potentially affect any others or the system itself, which is the level in general at which administrator or root access is required.

  • Ignore 3:2 camera setting?

I took pictures (raw) with an ep1, firmware 1.4, at 3:2 aspect ratio (camera setting). However, I'd like to edit the whole 4:3 pictures now with Lightroom (v3.2). Lightroom shows the full sensor picture while loading, but squeezes it into a 3:2 frame. After loading the image "bounces back" into its originial aspect ratio and the crop is applied according to the lower image height at 3:2. The fact that Lightroom applies the crop exactly matches with what I expect it to do. Unfortunately, there is no way "back" to the whole image. I know it's there because I can see it while loading. How can I make lightroom to ignore the crop in order to recover approx. 400 images? Thanks for your advice!

It took me a while, but I finally found a solution to batch process a  virtually unlimited number of raw files the way I want. Here is how:
Download ExifTool by Phil Harvey from
http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/ (I chose the stand-alone Windows executable). Install the tool, open a  command window, and cd to the installation directory. My test pictures  were located in the folder c:\users\nils\documents\fotos\test\.
    Then type the following
    >"exiftool(-k).exe" "-AspectRatio#1 1" "-AspectFrame=30 30 4032 3024" -m "c:\users\nils\documents\fotos\test\_8200358.orf"
to edit the file _8200358.orf or
    >"exiftool(-k).exe" "-AspectRatio#1 1" "-AspectFrame=30 30 4032 3024" -m "c:\users\nils\documents\fotos\test\*"
to edit all files in the folder, respectively. Please note the extensive use of double quotes.
It  prints a "Warning: Error reading value for ImageProcessingIFD entry  146" which can be ignored; the -m option actually forces the program to  write the file regardless of this warnig. The # requires numeric  arguments rather than alphabetic characters. The first "1" means "4:3",  the second argument remained unclear for me. "-AspectFrame=30 30 4032  3024" crops the original size to 4032x3024 pixel, ignoring the first 30  px on every side (which are used for interpolation in raw development).
Keep  in mind that ExifTool backups the original files and overrides the  originals! Thus, make some copies of your files first. For the many  other options and possible edits please see the detailed online  documentation.
Thank you all for your advices! And thank you Phil for this great piece of software!

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
