Save changes to a theme

Is there a way to save the changes that you've made to a theme?
I have created a podcast site and when I click new entry, it come up with the theme with the themes photo place holder. This means that I have to redo any changes that I have done to the theme every time I want to post a new podcast.

Somewhat. Create a new site in iWeb. Duplicate the pages in your working site and drag down to the new site. Now when you want to add a new page with the same theme/changes you can duplicate the page in the new site and drag that page up to the working site.

I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select "done", in the upper right corner
sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the security questions.
At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

Cannot save changes to an Indesign document

I have documents from a client that were created in an earlier version of Indesign (I'm not sure if it was CS3 or CS4). I use Indesign CS5.5. I can open the documents OK and work in them without problem. (I have all the fonts being used, but some of the image links are missing) I'm adding pages and formatting text as I go. Then around 30 pages into the job, I find that I'm unable to undo or save any changes to the document. I've tried exporting to an IDML file and reopened it as an Indesing document and I still can't save changes.
Can anyone help me? Short of rebuilding the document from scratch, I don't know what to do.

I also use a font manager (suitcase fusion), no other plugins.
And this counts for all files i try to save in indesign right now..
and i noticed my links panel seems to be failing, it's open but it doesn't show any content or knobs or sliders.. "blank panel"

Allowing a user to save changes

I am creating an app that is something similar to this one:-

However what I want is when a user drags an item from one tilelist into the other tilelist for them to be able to save these changes so that when they close the application and reopen it these changes will still be there i.e. if the top tilelist is tilelist1 and the bottom tilelist is tilelist2 and the user drags a couple of items to tilelist1 TO tilelist2 I want these items to appear in tilelist 2 after the app has been closed and reopened and the items that have been moved NOT to appear in tilelist 1 anymore.
I also want the user to be able to type their name into a text area and save it by clicking a save button so their name will also be shown next time they open the app.
What is the best way to do this? Via xml perhaps? I've used xml to contain data that populates a site in the past but never used it where it allows user's to actually insert data into an xml file. Are there any examples of anything simiar that may help me out?

That may work but I'm not sure on how to apply it to my own application. Here's a little bit of my code to show you what I mean. The button marked "populate" populates the left hand tilelist when clicked and also acts as a reset button if the user wants to reset the links back to normal. What I want is when the button marked "save" is clicked for all the changes a user has made to both tilelists to be saved. How can the following code be edited to allow that:-

Videos - How to save changes made via Adjustments?

I tried CTRL+S to save changes (changed Exposure to totally black for testing) to my .MOV video file - however, the file is unchanced. I'm guessing the adjustments are still just sitting in my Lightroom catalogue.
Is the correct way to export the video and re-encode it then?
If export is the only way - shouldn't there be some "save" function? I never trust the Lightroom catalogue to always keep all changes, I always do some CTRL+A, CTRL+S to save the changes to the files, so they are hardwired - would I have to export the videos, copy them back to the original folder and delete the original videos?

You cannot save changes to the video files as you can do with photo files.
In this case, everything is saved in the catalog, and you will need to export to render the video.
However, it is generally admitted that the catalog is a safer place to record changes, compared to individual files, and it is also easier to backup.

Is it possible to disable the 'do you want to save changes to...' pop-up in Reader 10.1.1 LS? I'm using CrystalViewer to read reports - but I don't edit them so don't need to save any changes.

Make sure that the PDF files are not corrupted. Otherwise Adobe Reader repairs the files and will save the changes.

Avoiding "Do you want to save changes you've made?" question

I have a program with a master block and detail block. While navigating at master block, not all detail block items are filled (some of them need to be verified at the moment of navigation, because data related to that detail block may vary during production).
However, when I need to navigate to the next master block register, Oracle asks me if I want to save changes. This is annoying, because it disturbs navigation.
How can I avoid such message to be displayed everytime I navigate to the next or previous item?

Using Access 2007 SP2.
I have an unbound main form(Master page) with a datasheet subform in an mdb.
Close button is on the main form with the following code
DoCmd.Close acForm, Me.Name, acSaveNo
I have tried with multiple scenarios but none of them got succeed(Below are those)
set SourceObject property to "" while Unload
SetWarnings False in Form_load
When I close the form I am prompted with 'do you want to save changes to the design of form...'
Is there any way to suppress this annoying message?

Which form is it prompting you about saving, the main form or the subform? If you close the main form with "DoCmd.Close acForm, Me.Name, acSaveNo", I wouldn't expect you to get a prompt about saving changes to that form. But I could
see you getting a prompt about saving design changes to the subform. Are you making any design changes to the subform while in form view, such as filtering, sorting, column-resizing, etc?

Closing Error - Do you want to save changes to '..... . pdf' file?

Hi,
I am kinda stuck with this error for a long time now and I always thought that changing to a new PC would resolve the issue. Unfortunately that did not help and hence I am seeking a solution using this community forum.
In brief, whenever I try to close a pdf file, it prompts me with an error asking "Do you want to save changes to '..... . pdf' file" when I have not made any changes to the actual file. Could someone please get back to me on how to resolve this issue? It is quite annoying for the fact that sometimes I get more than 10 pdf files opened and closing them one by one with this error is just too much of an ask.
I look forward to hearing from technical gurus out there and would really appreciate any prompt replies.

- Just tried the file you sent and there weren't any issues there. I saved the file and then closed it successfully without any prompts popping up.
- In regards to the opening of the files, I am opening them from within Adobe Reader itself.
- The pdf files basically are forms and don't include any interactive elements. So this is how it works, I use the print command from the database to save the file in pdf. Once the file is saved and opened, that is when I get the error message when closing the file.

Suddenly unable to save changes to shared document (10.6.4 server & client)

Hi,
a client of mine has a network with a 10.6.4 server and mixed clients (10.6.4 and 10.5.8). People edit documents within shared folders (mainly using Word and Pages) and all works as expected until, sometimes, some of them suddenly can't save changes to the file they were working on, so they have to save it locally (BTW, the mounted disks are still accessible)
The strange thing is that the above does usually happen around 7 PM: I've tried to find out if there are periodic maintenance tasks on the server, other than "daily" (scheduled at 3 AM), but I found none.
The server is running Time Machine, but I've disabled backup of either OpenDirectory and SharePoints data to temporarily avoid a known problem related to it (spontaneous unmount of network volumes and so on).

It sounds like a permissions error within her Home folder. Repair Permissions doesn't touch anything within the Home folder. Use this procedure for that...
1. Start up from your Install Disk.
2. Choose your language.
3. Choose "Reset Password" from the "Utilities" Menu.
(Don't worry we are not going to do that.)
4. Choose the option at the bottom to Repair Permissions and ACLs on your Home Folder.
5. When finished restart from HDD.
Terminal would be quicker,,,
sudo chown -R $USER ~press enter
You'll be prompted for your password, when you enter it, it will be invisible. Next enter this command…
chmod -R u+rwX ~press enter

Why is it that when I open a subvi and close it making absolutely no changes, I'm prompted to 'save changes'?

Maybe you have linked to subVIs also used with the older LV version and so don't want to save subVIs automatically?
As said before: no other IDE I know of automatically saves referenced files to a newer version...
And:
You should get asked to save subVIs before closing the mainVI. You always have the option to save them. You always are presented with reason why LV wants to save. You always have to decide between saving or not saving... You always have the mass compile option.
It's your duty to decide when to upgrade VIs - LV will and cannot take that decision!

Audio changes for Menu themes

The menu themes in Premiere Elements 12 do not allow a change to the volume on the preset music scores in the Main Menu page; or allow for a change-out to another music choice on the presets for the "Scene Selection" page – how do I do those two things?
The menu theme I selected for my video is SCREAMING loud and prompts the viewer to quickly turn down the volume, but then they have to crank it back up to hear the video. I converted a VHS tape to a DVD video and then I added photos at the end for a wedding project. This sound thing is driving me nuts every time I preview it and does the same thing on the DVD when I burn it.
All of the tutorials I've checked, and the manual, show how to alter the pictures, but absolutely nothing about the audio needing to be corrected. :-(

Right click the file, select Copy, and paste it to the computer desktop.
Changing the Artistic Theme Menu_bg_audio.mp3 volume in Premiere Elements 12/12.1 (Go with the default project preset)
Expert workspace
Add Media
Files and Folders
Project Assets
from Project Assets drag the music file to the Soundtrack
Select/Highlight the music file in the Soundtrack, go to Adjust Tab/Adjustments Palette/Volume Panel expanded and use the
volume slider there to adjust the music clip volume.
Then Publish+Share/Computer/Audio with Presets = MP3 - High Quality.
Replacing Original with volume adjusted one
Go back to the (A) Art-in-Motion Folder and move the original Artistic Theme Menu_bg_audio.mp3 from there to a place for
safe keeping, maybe Libraries/Music.
Then move the volume lowered Artistic Theme Menu_bg_audio.mp3 from its save location that you designated at its export
from Premiere Elements to the (A) Art-in-Motion Folder.
Make sure that the name of the music file in the (A) Art-in-Motion Folder is exactly the same before and after all this.
Note: Adobe has set the file name so that this music file applies to both the main menu and the scene menu.

After printing, Pages asks if I want to save changes.

When I print a document from Pages and then close the document, Pages always asks if I want to save changes. I can save the document, print it, and immediately try to close it and I still get the warning message. Is there a reason that Pages doesn't already know it's been saved?

There is no such feature and my guess is that happily, this behavior will not change.
It's the same for every Apple program.
