Save Copy to Complete Later

Any suggestions on how to create forms that allow users this option? What I'm experiencing so far is that Acrobat either saves the form as an unfillable PDF, or saves the fillable form without any of the data the user has entered... how does one save an editable copy?
Thanks...

If you are using LifeCycle Designer, finish your form then open it in Acrobat 8 Pro and click on the menu titled Advanced, then click Enable Usage Rights In Adobe Reader and you'll be set. When the user opens the form in Reader they will be able to save the data they enter. Be aware if you make a change to the form in Designer you will have to go back into Acrobat Pro to re-enable the usage rights. You can only do this in Acrobat Pro 8, not earlier versions.

  • Can respondents save a partially completed form to finish and submit later?

Since my form is more than a few questions, respondents have asked how they can save a partially completed form and then open it later to finish and submit.  This has really killed my response rates.  Is there a solution?
    Thanks.

Happy to report that the "Save Web Form" feature was released Tuesday night and is live.  You can find the settings where you enable it on the new "Save Web Form" sub-tab on the Options tab.

I am not using itext or pdfwriter calss. as i told i am just reading the file and just showing the user through a servlet. But still let me try the options which you have givenThe base Java libraries can't do what you want. As Saish indicated either the Adobe or iText libraries will be needed. Adobe doesn't sell their libraries separately - you'd have to purchase their giant application server to use it.

  • Duplex backup: getting one copy to complete

Using Oracle 10g R2. I am trying to set up a tape backup with 2 copies in a highly available environment. The media management software (IBM TDP for Oracle) is configured so that the copies are written to separate tape libraries. If one of the libraries is unavailable for some reason, I would like the other copy to complete, even if the first one has failed. I have disabled the first library for testing purposes and ran RMAN (transcript follows):

The "media mount not possible" error results from the first library being disabled. The second library, however, is available. It seems that RMAN just drops the entire session instead of writing the second copy to the second library. Is there any way to achieve this?

Is this configured in tdpo.opt? I can't remember. Yes, this is configured in tdpo.opt:

The first copy is written to the default management class of the domain, which is different from the one above.

  • Over-riding automatic save/copy of "sent" e-mail ??

Is there any way to over-ride (for a single message) the automatic save/copy of "sent" e-mail ?? ie there are occasions when I DON'T want to keep a copy.....

As far as I'm aware, you can choose to either save a copy or not.
This is set up in your Account Settings> copies & folders for the mail account.
I'm not aware of any method that lets you preselect to not save a particular email. Other than changing the Account Settings prior to creating the email and then resetting them again after sending.
The only option would be to save all as auto and delete what you do not want.

  • When I backup from my iPhone via iCloud backup and for some reason it only completes half, then will it save the half completed backup

My iCloud backup only completes upto half steps(sometimes) so will it save the half completed backup in iCloud

This needs to be addressed because you will not be able to use an incomplete backup.  Not being able to back up to iCloud can be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your device that is causing the backup to fail.  To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last iCloud backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, tap your device under Backups, then tap Delete Backup.  Then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on and try backing up again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app or something in your camera roll that is causing the backup to fail.  To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again.  If the backup is successful, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is causing the backup to fail and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails.  Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.

  • Copy a complete view in 5.0

    Hi,
I am trying to rename a tab in a certain tab strip, and the new rename tool for this purpose only allows to rename items when you enter the view for which you want to rename them. I checked back with SAP and it is working as designed. So my questio now would be how can I copy a complete view for a whole application, so that it is exactly as the default empty view? In 4.0, I think you could do it with one button click in BAB...
    Regards
    Thomas

    Hello,
With the customizing tool, (first option in the menu CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C), you should be able to create a new view for a full application.
    But try this:
    - create a new view (CRMV_BL_VIEW),
    - call your application with this view
    --> should not change anything
    - rename your tab using this view name
    - call your application with this view
--> I hope your tab should be renamed (I'm not sure and I don't have a system now to test).

  • How can I save a page complete so that I can take our a print later on with its complete texts and pictures.I want that the copy of the page when printed should be exactly the same with all the details.

When save a web page and try to take out print the pictures in the web page are not coming in the print.I want to know how to save the webpage so that when I take its print it comes out in its entirety without loosing any details of the original webpage.

If you drop down the "Save as Type" list in the Save page dialog, you have the choices of HTML only (images not saved to your computer) and HTML complete (images are saved to your computer). Neither of these is perfect.
If you really need a record of what you see today, I suggest printing the page to PDF. There are a number of free print-to-PDF products, as well as paid ones. This isn't perfect either, because some sites look different in print than on screen, but it avoids the problem of sites changing or links breaking after your browsing session ends, etc.
If you have an example of a page that can't be printed as it appears on the screen, you could post a URL. For example, many blogs print in an "unstyled" format.

  • Submitting a PDF form --- save and send completed PDF document?

A small government site has a number of 'submittable' PDF
    form documents
that they'd like me to include on the website. I am not very
    familiar
with PDF forms in this way, and hope someone here can help
    sort out a
    few things...
Can a PDF form be submitted so that
    a) the completed PDF doc is saved on the server (and renamed)
    b) a printable , completed PDF (looks just like the one they
    filled out,
with all their values saved in the input boxes) is emailed to
    specific
    address
    c) the raw user data is saved to database (maybe a list of
    fields in one
column of a db table, and a matching list of values in
    another? this
would just be for backup in case the completed PDF did not
    save
correctly to the server, or for later reference)
We've looked at the standard Acrobat 'submit via email' and
    that won't
cut it... that method appears to simply trigger a 'mailto'
    popup, with
the pdf as an attachment. Our system needs to be automated
    via CFmail.
None of these would handle any 'sensitive' information, the
    main
concern, from their part, is people being able to submit the
    form and
have both the city office and the recipient get a copy that
    prints just
as if they had hit 'print' when filling out the actual PDF.
Is all of this possible ??
    if so... any tips appreciated!

  • Is there a way to save print job for later?

Is there a way to have print jobs saved for a later date/time? The only solution I can think of is to save the document/web page/file to a folder (e.g., "print later"). However, I'd rather just be able to hit print and in the print dialogue "send" the job to a print queue that I can open later.
For the curious, there are two often reoccuring situations where I want to save a print job for later: 1) I work late at night when my family is asleep and my house is not large enough to avoid disturbing their sleep by printing; and 2) I need to print out a 50+ page work document and I don't want to use my home computer to do it.
I'll appreciate whatever tips, recommendations, thoughts I get.

the method mentioned by benwiggy will certainly work.  If you want to an option that would give you more options, you could use a PDF Service.  You could then put a specific job on hold while still allowing others to use the printer.
You can do this by opening AppleScript Editor (/Applications/Utilities).  You can copy and paste the following into an editor window --
    on open printJobs
    tell application "Finder"
set trapFile to quoted form of POSIX path of (printJobs as string)
    end tell
set defaultPrinter to do shell script "lpstat -d | awk -F: '{print $2}'"
    do shell script "lpr -P" & defaultPrinter & " -q " & trapFile
    end open
Save the file as an Application.  You can name it something like Hold Print Job.  Then just put it in the PDF Services directory in the Library directory of your Home folder <yourname>/Library/PDF Services.  You may need to make the PDF Services directory as it may not already be there.
Once the file is in place, you can use it by using the PDF drop down menu at the bottom left of a print window.  That will send the file to the printer and put it on hold.  Others can still use the printer.  You can then print your file whenever you want.  Just open the print queue as mentioned by benwiggy.  Highlight the job that is Paused.  You will see a little curly icon at the very right (looks like a reload icon in a web browser).  Just click that icon and the job will start printing.

  • Create and save boolean expressions for later evaluation

Is it possible to create Boolean expressions by inputs via user interface in LabVIEW and save them for later evaluation? I am interested in creating a 'flexible policy engine' which involves creating 'rules' comprising attribute values of certain attributes of objects based on boolean expressions which can later be used for arriving at some decisions based on the 'rules'.

    Hi Belur,
Have you considered building a script based on the boolean expressions that you want to create for the flexible policy and saving the script to file?
Later, you can read the script and depending on the policy, it can re-create the boolean expressions.
A simple way to implement this is by having various pre-defined expressions places into a Case Statement. The script calls the appropriate cases that create the complete expression.
You can store the attributes of the objects and when the vi is running, it can first open the initialization file, read the attributes and set them.
For instance, you can read from and write to Property (and Invoke Nodes) to which you can the attributes.
Unfortunately, I don't have an example of this that I c
an share with you. There may be some if you do a search.
    Hope this helps..
