Save e-mails in Dropbox?

I want to save some of my e-mails in Dropbox. Is there any way I can do that, or any e-mail programme which makes this possible? I use Outlook and want to keep that for various reasons (I have my own domain).

Sorry for not being clear.  Ideally, you would do this from your email client on a computer.  It is far less easy to do on an iPad.  All you can do is select the entire message, copy it, and paste it into a document app (Pages, or some other writing or notes app) that lets you save it in a format and in an app that then can interface with dropbox.
You cannot do so directly from within the iOS mail app.

  • Mail doesn't save sent mail on one of my email accounts.....

Mail doesn't save sent mail on one of my email accounts. I have several accounts, but on one of them it just doesn't save any mail I send. Is there a hidden setting I've missed somewhere? I did delete the account and then reset it, but it took out all of my emails to that address so I'm loathe to do that again!

I'm lucky enough to have two Macs running OS X 10.9 next to each other, both using the same network, and sharing a common Exchange mail server. My corporate machine (an first gen' Aluminium iMac) has both Outlook and Mail installed. My personal machine (a 13" MacBook Air) has only Mail installed.
Neither install of Mail is guarenteed to write sent messages to the Exchange Sent folder (it might happen, it might not). Both write perfectly to other common mail servers (e.g. GMail). Outlook writes perfectly to the Exchange server, but generally functions less effectively as a mail client than Apple Mail.
The failure to write to the Exchange server only happened after the upgrade.
    It's quite frustrating.

  • Is there a way to save e-mails in separate personal folders

I am trying to find a way to save e-mails in separate folders on my IPad 2

Your profile shows that you are running iOS 4.3.3. If so, you cannot create folders on the iPad in the mail app. If you have an IMAP email account - you can create the folders on the server in your web mail and the folders will show up on the iPad.
If you are running iOS 5 - go to the main window of your email account where you see Inbox, Sent, Trash etc and tap the edit button at the top and a button will appear at the bottom - New Mailbox. Tap that to create the mailbox folder.
To move messages to those folders - go to the InBox, and tap Edit at the top. Then select the email by checking the circle to the left of the preview - tap on Move at the bottom of the window - and select the folder that you want to move the email to.
You can also move an email if it is open in the window on the right by tapping the File folder icon at the top.

  • I just want to save my mail

This really isn't a MacBook Pro question but a general question. I can't seem to find any threads on this subject. I currently have a macbook pro and recently migrated everything to a MacBook Air. My mail did not transfer over which is not a big deal, however, I do want to save my mail to a harddrive or disks before I wipe it. Both machines are using Maverick. Both machines are using mail 7.1. In the old days I would export and burn to CD, but I don't know Maverick. Does anyone have the simple steps to complete this correctly?

What email provider is it? Google, Hotmail, Outlook?

  • Outlook Add-In Mail Item How to save the mail item (which is in compose mode) as a .msg file in non editable form?

    Hello,
I am working on an outlook add-in where I have a custom button on the ribbon tab of compose mail item.
My requirement is to save the mail item currently being composed as a .msg file at a predefined location on click of my custom "Save" button. I am able to do it using "mailItem.SaveAs(...)".
But my problem is, when I open the .msg file in outlook, it is opened in compose mode but I want to see it as a read-only item. For e.g. exactly the way it looks when I save it after it's sent.
Could you share any ideas on how to achieve this?
    Thanks,
    Vinay

Strictly speaking you need to *remove* the MSGFLAG_UNSENT bit (=8), not set the MSGFLAG_READ bit, so setting the PR_MESSAGE_FLAGS property to either 0 or 1 will work. Keep in mind that you can remove the MSGFLAG_UNSENT bit only before the message
is saved for the very first time. If you touch the bit after the message was saved, the message will stay unsent.
Also note that this may not be what the user wants since the message will become read-only when reopened.

  • IPhone Cannot Save E-mail Drafts

The current iPhone OS cannot save e-mail drafts. (The Draft folder displays, but an e-mail created using the iPhone cannot be saved as a draft.) E-mail drafts must be saved on a Mac, after which they can be accessed on an iPhone. This is problematic, not only limiting the iPhone user to the choices of either sending or deleting a current e-mail message, but also creating the need to create drafts ahead of time at home on a Mac in order to access them on the iPhone (which defeats the whole purpose of a draft; an unfinished e-mail message which could not be foreseen ahead of time, that needs to be finished later).
For example, the current iPhone OS will not let you enter multiple e-mail addresses for an e-mail message. A "not-very-good" work-around for this is to create a draft on a Mac in Mac Mail ahead of time with the desired group of multiple e-mail addresses entered in the 'To:' field. Then, when you want to send an e-mail message to a large group of people from your iPhone, you can access the draft e-mail to do it. But once the draft has been sent from the iPhone, it disappears from the Draft folder, and you have go home to create another one on the Mac computer before being able to access it from your iPhone again. Giving the iPhone the ability to save an e-mail message as a draft (not just view drafts), and have the draft sync with MobileMe to be viewed in Mac Mail and MobileMe Mail would eliminate this problem.

I have used an application called "Download All Files" from the Play Store (formerly Android Market) to allow me to download any kind of attachment in emails. Give that a try and see if it works for you.

  • Mail 1.3.11 won't save sent mail

I have a Mac PPC G4 OS 10.3.9 and Mail 1.3.11. Have used Mail for years, no problems, but now it won't save sent mail, whether it's an e-mail I've generated and sent or a reply. I've gotten rid of most old mail, thinking boxes may be "overstuffed" but no change. I've set up rules to have mail placed in sent, but that hasn't worked. Ideas?

Found the problem. Out of curiousity, I opened Safari Preferences and before I could even think, the first thing I noticed was that for some reason my default browser was indicated as "Desktop DF" (?) whatever that might be (hopefully not some kind of spyware).
So needless to say, I just changed it back to Safari and now all my Mail links open up the way they should.

  • Cannot SAVE Apple Mail Messages

Until recently I was able to SAVE Apple Mail messages as rtf files. I can no longer do this. Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone have a solution?
    Thanks.
    Mary

    Hi Mary,
That just started happening to me as well. I came to the forums to see if there was an answer. For the time being a temporary solution is to drag the mail from a mailbox to the desktop where it copies it to an .eml file which includes all attachments etc.
I'm on a Mac Pro 10.5.6 and use Mobile Me to sync an iPod Touch, MacBook Pro and my Mac Pro. I'm mentioning that because I wonder if this might be some snafu with Mobile Me?

  • How can I permanently save voice mails?

How can I permanently save voice mails?

It helps a lot to know what type of computer you are using.
I use TouchCopy on Windows machines (they also have a Mac version but I have not used it).
    I use Phoneview on Macs.
I would highly recommend either of them.
