Save error. windows version X

Downloaded  Acrobat X Windows trial version to try to modify a .pdf for a homework and project and not have to print it all out.
Error messagewhen trying to do save_as.
"this document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (18)."
Is this a trial version restriction? Or bad doc?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks George. I'll try exporting it another way or redo it. If I try to forward it, it says the temp save is good.

  • I'm using Firefox version 3.6 on my '02 Mac G4. When I installed it, it worked fine, But then all of a sudden the "save" and "save as" windows stopped coming up at all when I selected "save" anywhere in Firefox. What happened and how do I fix it?

    I downloaded and installed Firefox on my '02 Mac G4. It worked great. Now I have version 3.6. But my weird problem is one day when I ran it, the "save" and "save as" windows stopped popping up at all. I'd left click a picture and select "save as" and nothing would happen. I'd go to the menu and select "save" and still no window would pop up. It would just act as if nothing had been clicked. No loading icon or anything and no "save as" window. I've never been able to get it to work. The volunteer in the live support chat typed "That IS weird.." I tried his suggestion but it did nothing. I may have deleted the plist preferences file in the preferences library folder to get it started again after a freeze up threw it out of whack but I've never had this happen before.And i've tried doing that again to see if that would restore it. But the plist always regenerates itself and the "save as " window still never appears when I run Firefox. The "save" window works just fine in every other program on my Mac, but not in Firefox. Weird..

  • Labview 7.1 crashes windows XP when using VI's saved with the 'Save for Previous Version' option available in Labview 8

    I am trying to work with a series of vi's developed in Labview 8 in Labview 7.1.  The code was saved with the 'Save for Previous Version' option available in Labview 8.  When trying to use the code in LV7.1 my entire Windows XP system locks up (cursor freezes).  Are there any ideas what's going on and how to fix this?
    Thanks for your help!
    Mike

    I have seen some problems with the save for previous option in the past. Instead of saving the entire hierarchy, try seperating the code into several different pieces and saving each piece individually. Then, see if you can open the different pieces in 7.1.
    If that doesn't help, you should post some more details, like when exactly does it lock up, does it have things like DLL calls, and maybe attach the code.
    Try to take over the world!

  • Error Window in Release Version of Adobe AIR

    Is there a way to turn on the error window in the release
    version of Adobe AIR?
    When running my AIR application from in Flex Builder I get a
    window with error details when an error occures. Is there some way
    to to get this window and error details when running my installed
    AIR app? I have the Adobe AIR 1.1 installed. Is there another
    version of Adobe AIR 1.1 which has this error window in it?

    You cannot catch these errors. However, you can use the
    following unsupported method with AIR 1.1 to enable debug mode for
    the installed applications.
    Please note that we don't promise this will work in any
    future release, and it won't work if either the DRM or ELS APIs are
    used by your application. Also, it has a negative impact on
    performance.
    To enable debug mode for installed applications: First find
    the installed location of the application. Then, find the
    "application.xml" file inside that directory. Create an empty file
    called "debug" next to application.xml. The next time the
    application is started, it will launch in debug mode, as if run
    from adl.

  • Receive Error Window when Trying to Save "Current Frame" FCP X

    Anyone have a similiar experience with this error window message when trying to use the Save Current Frame feature? (Which used to be way easier in FCP 7)

    KK-
    Solution for now is as follows for anyone else who stumbles upon this bug.
    For .mp4 files, create optimized media before trying "save current frame"
    Drop all files into a main timeline to create/use "save current frame" feature- don't try and use it by selecting clips from the browser and entering the "open in timeline" option from the right-click drop down.
    Again, tested on two separate machines (mid-2010 Mac Pro and early 2008 Mac Pro, both with Lion and Compressor)
    Cheers,

    hello, when this is happening after you've already updated firefox with your admin account, try to delete the ''updates'' folder and ''active-update.xml & updates.xml'' within the %localappdata% folder of your restricted account like it is described in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update#Software_Update_not_working_properly

  • An mov file which play fine in quicktime on my mac mini will not play in quicktime on a windows 7 unit. Error 2048, quicktime does not understand this file. Any ideas as to why it works in mac version of quicktime and not windows version?

    The .mov file sis downloaded from my Sony camera. It is not altered and plays fine on the Mac mini using QuickTime. It will not play on a Windows 7 unit using the latest version of Quicktime. Why would that be? Why will one version of QuickTime work and another not work?

    Also make sure the file type is not of a DivX. That your camera supports. Which QT for Mac also supports, but the Windows version of QT does not support DivX, so you're not purchasing something for the Windows computer that is not needed?

  • Firefox will not open after new update; Error: Platform version '1.9.2.13' is not compatible

    After accepting the new update I got this error message when trying to restart Firefox:
    XULRunner
    Error: Platform version ‘1.9.2.13’ is not compatible with
    minVersion >= 1.9.2.14
    maxVersion <= 1.9.2.14
    I have tried:
    - Opening in Safe Mode; same error
    - Uninstalling, deleting remaining info in C>ProgramFiles>MozillaFirefox folder, and reinstalling.
    - Updating Avast antivirus in case that was interfering.
    Now when I try to start Firefox I get this message;
    Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.
    But there is nothing happening in the Windows Task Manager. Please, somebody save me from Windows Internet Explorer!!

    I experienced this error updating from Firefox 3.6.13 to 3.6.14 and resolved it by doing a 'clean' install' as described. It occurred again in updating from 3.6.14 to 3.6.15 and this time a clean install failed to rectify it. (Anyway, I don't want to have to go through this every time.)
    Work-around: Shut down Firefox. Edit application.ini (typically "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\application.ini")
    [Gecko]
    MinVersion=1.9.2.15
    Change to 1.9.2.13
    Save. Start Firefox. Dirty? Yes. Works? Yes.

    Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
    Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

  • Hi I am getting the following error message henc unable to start firfox at all: error message box as follows XULRunner Error: Platform version 1.9.2.4 is not compatibale with minVersion =1.9.2.6 maxVersion

    Error: Platform version 1.9.2.4 is not compatibale with minVersion >=1.9.2.6 maxVersion =1.9.2.6 maxVersion

    Eric, this can happen after a failed update that partially changed your Firefox install directory.
    Try a clean reinstall:
    1. Download the Firefox installer from [http://mozilla.com Mozilla.com] and save it to your desktop or other location.
    2. Make sure that Firefox is closed completely
    3. Delete the Firefox installation directory (On Windows, this is typically the C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder that contains "firefox.exe" and other Firefox program files and folders).
    4. Reinstall Firefox by running the installer you downloaded previously.
    Your personal settings, including bookmarks and history, will not be lost.

  • Problem connecting to internet via Firefox as XUL Runner Error Platform version is not compatible with minVersion 1.9.2.16 max version 1.9.2.16

    Firfox requested to update previous version to new version of which i allowed. After installation complete i tried to connect to the internet and was denied with a following error window appearing. As explained above i shall explain again as shown in the error window.
    XULRunner
    Error: Platform version " is not compatible with
    minVersion >= 1.9.2.16
    maxVersion<= 1.9.2.16
    This will not allow me to connect to the internet as i would like to continue to.
    Please restore if possible my previous toolbar and able for me to connect to the internet.
    Thank you.

    This issue can happen when the updater wasn't able to update all files in the Firefox program folder.
    Do a clean (re-)install:
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

    Not much to add.
    On popup window was a labbel "XUL runner", and then :" error:Platform version '1.9.2.13' is not compatible with vrersion minVersion>=1.9.2.15
    maxVersion>=1.9.2.15".
    Just few details.
    I have Firefox instaled on D: disc because my system crashed and after reinstaling OS on C: disc i haven't insatled it but just just used old one just moved to D: disc.
    So my only problem is that I wont to get a hold of unbackuped bookmarks in that Firefox, and then one can instal Firefox4.

  • XULRunner keeps saying "error: platform version 20.0.1 is not compatible with min version=19 max version=19 "how do i fix this?

    Windows XP SP3. Worked this morning! Now I get this error
    XULRunner keeps saying "error: platform version 20.0.1 is not compatible with >min version=19.0 <max version=19.0" how do i fix this?

    This is caused by a broken (corrupted) Firefox installation where not all files have been updated properly.
    Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
    Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 20.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
    Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
    *Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
    Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    *It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox
    Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
    If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.
