  • File Save for Web = Error: The operation could not be completed.

Installed photoshop CS6 trial Version 13.0 on Windows 7 Ultimate running in hyper-v virtual machine.  Created a small image and clicked File Save for Web.  This produced the error dialog "Error: The operation could not be completed."
I tried the following trouble shooting steps:
    1. deleted the preferences
    2. created a new user
    3. re-installed both the operating system and photoshop
    4. looked for permission issues
    5. monitored procmon.exe to look for unusual errors
I'm not sure what I'm looking for, but it simply does not work.

    ELEMENTS 12 AND ELEMENTS 13
Upgraded to 13 Thinking might resolve the issue.
Was working fine up until we had "Tech" come in the office and "up grade some stuff"
then all of a sudden i started getting this message, something happened but i don't have a clue what.

  • Save for Web & Devices, The operation could not be completed

I keep getting this error when I Save for Web & Devices: The operation could not be completed.
I have saved for the web before for many more complex, larger images without a hitch.
I am using a psd format with an image that I designed. It is no more complex than others I have done. It is small, just a horizontal navbar about the size of the one on Apple's website.
I tried exporting it, flattening it, slicing it removing the slices.
I think it is a problem with the application itself.
I have tried repairing my permissions, restarting, and holding Cmd, Opt, Control, Shift during PS startup to reset the settings. Any insight would be appreciated.

  • Streaming error the operation could not be completed

    Dear All,
Please Help me i Above Subject Iam using Airtel Digital Tv Application name is pocket tv firts time is install Application is working good after some days showing error streaming error the operation could not be completed please try again later please let me know what is issued and how can fix this problem.

I've continued tests on different films, and tried my entire collection. I've found about two dozen that will play fine on the PC, but will not cooperate when streamed to either Apple TV or my iPad. I tried several more tests with the audio, and that turned out not to be a factor -- I could not replicate that on another test.
I wonder if something in the header of these files is corrupted or a flag is set incorrectly or something along those lines, as the data appears to be fine -- it's just not "handshaking" with my streaming hardware and/or the Apple Home Sharing code that powers it.
Is there any way for me to "scrub" these files and amend their headers, or get into the file and tinker with that info by hand?

  • Contacts error: The Operation could not be completed. No other information is available about the problem.

I get about one or two of these error messages, from Contacts each day: "The Operation could not be completed. No other information is available about the problem." It seemed to start after I deleted some of what appeared to me to be the duplicate cards between "On My Mac" and iCloud. I have Contacts version 9.0 in OS X 10.10 Yosemite on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Early 2011). Anyone else seen this error?

Thanks!  I looked at the Busycal post:
To fix this, open System Preferences > Security & Privacy, select Contacts in the left sidebar, then check BusyCal.app.
On my system, only Skype, Parallels, and Contacts Cleaner are enabled to access contacts.
FYI, LinkedIn doesn't list any apps as having asked for, or been given access.
If that doesn't work, here is a bigger hammer:
    OK
              1) Launch Terminal in /Applications/Utilities.
              2) Paste the following text and hit return:
                   tccutil reset AddressBook
First, I want to see what that does so I ran man tccutil
         NAME
tccutil -- manage the privacy database
         SYNOPSIS
              tccutil command service
         DESCRIPTION
The tccutil command manages the privacy database, which stores decisions the
user has made about whether apps may access personal data.
              One command is current supported:
reset    Reset all decisions for the specified service, causing apps to prompt
again the next time they access the service.
         EXAMPLES
To reset all decisions about whether apps may access the address book:
                    tccutil reset AddressBook
              3) Quit Terminal.
              4) Launch BusyCal, and click OK when asked whether to allow access to your contacts.
Now I see under System Preferences->Security&Privacy->Privacy->Contacts that all apps were removed from the list.
I haven't had BusyCal in years so I just launched Calendar and Contacts.
Unfortunately, as soon as I launch Contacts, I get the pop-up again about the LinkedIn

    Try the following..
Compress the audio files before uploading them to Google.. using Apple's built in file compressor... (Right/Control click on an audio file and choose compress from the popup menu...
Download from Google and then decompress audio files..

  • Error: The Operation Could Not Be Completed. There Is Not Enough Space on The Disk

    Hi folks,
    I'm running Win7, CS5.
The specs for the situation are as follows.
Trying to Liquify a 419 mb (645 scan) .tif file. *Thing to note* Liquify loads slowly no matter what the file size, it seems to get caught while loading around the 7th block. However, about 5-8 actions in, the error occurs and I can go no further with liquify.
    The computer.
OS and CS5, booting from my Crucial 128GB SSD with 33.9 gb free space.
    16GB Ram
A total overkill 2TB of Striped Raid Scratch disk space - I see the temp file does write here, and the drive is otherwise empty. All drives are NTFS formatted.
I'm usually running a bunch of other programs, at the very least, lightroom, and firefox/chrome.
The Raid is my sole scratch disk, and the requisite box in my performance tab is checked.
There are, admittedly, gaps in my computer knowlege. But this is more than enough computer to handle a file of that size.
Can someone enlighten me as to what may be going on?
    Thank you so much,
    Ron.

    You could try this:
Assuming your scratch drive is D:...
    1.  Make a folder D:\TEMP.  Make sure your username has Full Control privileges.
    2.  Edit your environment variables so that your TEMP and TMP environment variables both contain the string:  D:\TEMP

  • Quicktime - "Error: The operation could not be completed"

I just took 1 and a half hours' worth of footage in quicktime screen recording, which I would rather not lose if possible. However, when I try to save the footage, it gives me the error listed in the title.
I don't seem to have a problem with not being connected to a charger, running out of CPU, or having a weird copy of QuickTime (my quicktime is the version that came with the computer).
    Help?

    Terence,
    Youre a genius!
    It worked.
(My machine was going to sleep while I was trying to export.
I changed settings to prevent sleeping and the render completed.)
    Thanks for the help.

  • Bridge CS5 freezes after error message...."The operation could not be completed, there is not....

Error - The operation could not be completed.  Not enough storage is available to complete this operation.
After this happens I have to close Bridge as it is unresponsive to any further commands and I often I have to use the task manager to close it.
I have scoured these boards and the web for a solution and have found others w/ the same problem (even people w/ much more RAM) but have not found a solution beyond the usual advice of changing cache settings, increasing page file, or making sure there is enough hard drive space.
I have two 1TB hdd's w/ over 80% free space on each but I only have 2 GB RAM (all my old motherboard can handle).  However, this error message occurs even when Photoshop is not running (only Bridge) and my RAM usage meter shows that I still have plenty of unused RAM available.  I did not have this problem w/ Bridge CS4. The error msg. of not enough storage doesn't make since considering the available RAM showing and ample space on the hard disk assigned to the cache (which is a different physical drive than my OS or the Bridge program.)
Here are some of the things I have tried:
reset Bridge preferences at startup, changed the location of the Bridge cache, its size and options, purged the cache, changed the page file size on both drives to the max, defragmented drives, disabled Norton anti-virus, etc.
    -What else can I try?
-Would creating a new partition on my 2nd hdd to be used solely for the Bridge cache make any difference and if so, why?
Please help, I am willing to try anything to get this to work.  It is a personal challenge at this point.... and I am determined to get Bridge CS5 to work on my machine......
Thanks in advance for any advice or insturctions you may offer!

  • The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 30256 (error -1).

When trying to export a project from FCPX, I get this error
The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 30256 (error -1).
    Has anyone any ideas?
    Many Thanks

Switch your FCP preferences to show frames and see what's happen at that frame number. Try trash any render files. Switch off background rendering. Don't render. Try replacing the clip at the problem area.

  • "The operation could not be completed" Error

Every time i try to open the pixel bender filter I get an error that says "The operation could not be completed" Any Ideas?  Windows 7 i5 processor and 8 gb of ram. I tried re installing, and several images from small to max size.
    Thanks

Perhaps your issue has been resolved by now.  I read all the responses as I was also having the Error:
The operation could not be completed." message and this is how I resolved it.  I have Win XP with
3Gb Ram,and the same graphics card you referenced, by Nvidia.  I looked as the document size and it was at 370 dpi so I dropped it down to 72 and saved it.  Then I had no problem opening Pixel Bender and using the various filters in it.

  • The operation could not be completed because there is not enough space on the destination disk

I have 124Gig of space left on my HD, when I try to export my movie i get this error "The operation could not be completed because there is not enough space on the destination disk"  I have read some of the threads went in and deleted the iMovie Preference file but no luck.. any Ideas?  Thanks!

You need the System DVDs that originally came w/the computer in order to troubleshoot.  All Macs prior to & including ML came w/System DVDs.
You can get replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available.
If you're not in the US, you may need to go through the regional Apple Store that serves your location to find the contact number. Here's a list of links to all of those - http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/intlstoreroutingpage.html  Another resource:  International Support Phone #s.

  • SQL Server 2014 Management Studio - "The operation could not be completed"

    Hi there!
I've recently installed SQL Server 2014 Express Edition to my Windows 8.1 x64 computer. It was working fine for one month or so. Now, when I try to open Management Studio I get the error "The operation could not be completed". A few seconds into
the splash screen. Then the application shuts down.
I don't have any errors or warnings on Event Viewer. Not even any information lines related to SSMS when opening. I've tried to use ProcMon but I can't see any events related to SSMS.exe that could give this result. I've already installed Cumulative Update
2 for SQL Server 2014 with no luck. Also, I've repaired SQL Server installation and even reinstalled this instance with the same outcome.
I know this topic has already been written before but it was related to Windows Server. The response marked as Answer was not applicable to my case. As I said, I'm using Win 8.1 x64.
I'm out of options for now. Can you please give any help?
    Thank you so much.

    Hello,
Before reinstalling Windows, please try the .NET Framework Repair Tool.
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135
If the above did not help, you may want to try the automatic repair option.

    Hope this helps.

  • "The operation could not be completed" when doing Save for web

    Hi
I have just installed Photoshop CS5.1 on my new iMac with Mac OS 10.7 (Lion). Everytime I try to do a 'Save for web' I get this error message "The operation could not be completed". After that Photoshop also hangs. I've tried many solutions offered in forums and the like, but nothing helps. I am getting quite desperate...Anybody?

    I found out the following:
    When I write in Terminal:
    sudo chmod -R u+w ~/Library/Preferences
    sudo chmod -R u+rw ~/Library/Application\ Support
The error message disappears, until I do a restart of the computer. Then the error is back.
My suspiscion is that the error came up after moving files from my old computer to my new one.
It happened even before I installed Lion...
So now I'm thinking of doing a complete new install on Lion, not an upgrade and then install Photoshop again. But I am not really looking forward to this :-(
