Save informations of a media

How to save the changed Informations on a media in an Event (Favorites, Keywords, notes) without saving (re-copying) the media itself?

I work on a MacbookPro.
My Events (with the medias Original and Transcoded) and Projects are saved on an external drive (HD1). It is the one I work with.
I made a backup of my folders (Events and Projects) on another external drive (HD2) for safekeeping .
I work every day on my editing, creating all kind of informations (Favorites, Keywords, Notes). I know that everything is saved in the currentversion.fcpevent file and his backup, on HD1.
I would like to make an every day backup of my work informations (currentversion.fcpevent file) on HD. I have, on my work, 38 Events. Can it be done automatically whitout having to drag each file through the finder, or by using FCP Pro X without copying the medias.
If I Duplicate the Events on the disk HD2, FCP ProX make a copy of the Events and of all the medias in it.
It is useless. I just want to save the changes of the Currentversion.fcpevent file, on the disk HD2. Like I would do on Time Machine.
Thanks for your help.

  • How to... Save information

Hi!! I was a middel-upper user of AS2. These 3 last months I've been creating my own app for iPhone&iPad with CS5 with more/less luck.
Now I'm asking myself a question: is it posible to save information from the app in the iPhone/iPad?? I would like to save some text (Dinamic text) so that when the users closes the app and opens it again in X days it keeps the same text he wrote... (I hope I have explained myself correctly...)

The home folder is where all of your personal files are kept.
Best candidates to delete are movies, videos, music and photos since they generally take the most space.
Don't forget to empry the Trash after you delete the file because the space is not returned until the Trash is emptied.

  • Error reads "Cannot save information" when trying to save my pdf form on another computer

Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong in the creation of my PDF form.   When we try to open it on another PC it comes up with another window which reads as follows:
    Cannot Save Form Information
PLEASE NOTE:   You cannot save a competed copy of this form on your computer.
If you would like a copy for your records, please fill it in and print it.
If anyone can help me, I would be greatly appreciative !
    Thanks,

That message shouldn't show up if you use Reader 11 or DC, unless the form was created with LiveCycle Designer. It also won't happen in Reader if you Reader-enable the form in Acrobat. To do so with Acrobat 11 select:
File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools
The specific menu items are different for every other version of Acrobat.

  • Save file on Flash Media Encoder Live 3

Use the 'Save to file' for archiving my events...when I go to
play back the archive.. flash players don't recognize the file it
says FV4 format ...what is going on??

Try Adobe Media player to play the files. For f4v files, you will have to use "f4v post processor" tool before playing it in adobe media player. You can download this tool from https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=fms35

  • Is There Any Component Similar To JFileChooser To Save Information In File

    Hi All,
I have an application in JSP where I need to save the some information from my jsp page into a file.Like JFileChooser opens the required files, is there any component similar to JFileChooser to "save" the information into a file???
    Thanks In Advance,
    Anupama M

That's easy :) You can write it yourself.
Imagine you've a List<Dto> where each DTO represents one row. Create a StringBuilder (or StringBuffer if you're still not at Java 1.5) and append each row value to it. Eventually add separators (comma, semicolon, etc) to it. After each row, eventually add a newline. On the end, stream the contents of the StringBuilder to the HttpServletResponse#getOutputStream(). Don't forget to set the headers accordingly.

  • How do I save information from my applets?

I have an inventory applet. But I want to save the information I input to the applet. Everytime I close it, I lose all those information. How do I do this? Do I do it with streams? If so, could you show me the ropes or send me a website. Thanks to anyone who can help! =)

well well well dekassegui!!! what u said could save my ass from my manager.. coz he will kick me out if i didn't do that for him,.. i've been through alot of documentation regarding applets and their resterictions.. i know that for an applet to access the memory (File IO or Database access) it needs a permission file on the same folder as the applet... some documentation says that an applet should be signed before doing so!! and plz don't ask me what a signed applet means : ) well if that would help plz give me the guide for that.. thanks in advance

  • How can I save information (game variables) onto a computer? (cookies?)

I have a "death match" game that I have hosted on freewebs.com (that is working perfectly). I want the game to store information on the computer that visits my site, including player experience and money so they can close out of their browser and then come back and have everything still there. How can I do this?

    coopkev2 wrote:
Currently, I save a text file to my computer when it runs that contains the information I need. Is it possible to include that file inside the JAR and simply edit that? Not really. For one thing, editing the jar would require the same permissions as editing any other file. Secondly, it makes deployment really complicated when the contexts of jars are changed by the users. Third, the jar might get overwritten when the user downloads the page again later. If you're going to save the data in a file on the user's computer, it's easier just to make it a plain text or properties file (or XML if you really want to make it more complicated) in the user's home directory or a similar location (for example, if the user is using Windows, you could put it in home/Application Data/ or whatever it's called.
I suspect that cookies are easier still though, but I haven't tried it either.
In the past when I've had to do things like this, I found it easier to store the data on the web server using a CGI script, but I don't know if freewebs even allows that.

  • Disc information for Windows Media Player

I have a client who wishes the DVD title and track information to be displayed in Windows Media Player (which he uses to view DVDs on his computer). As far as I am able to determine WMP downloads this information from the Microsoft Windows Media database when the disc is opened in WMP. I have not been able to find a way to upload this information or store it on the disc in a way that WMP can access.
There is a process described in the WMP help file which seems to work for media files (audio or video) but it does not work for DVDs. I am not sure if it is because the DVD is a read only device or whether the process is not meant to work for DVDs. The help file only uses an audio file as an example of how the process is meant to work.
Any information - even if it is to say it can't be done - would be greatly appreciated.
    Trevor

Alex has you covered... it can't be done on a burned DVD from DVDSP. Is your client able to view this data from other projects written to DVD-R? (by that I mean content authored on DVDSP or Encore or similar, not copied from a mass produced DVD).

  • Changing mp3 file locations - how do i update / save information in iTunes?

I am getting ready to put an additional hard drive into my computer - an old 60GB hard drive from another computer to act as the slave drive - in order put all of my music, movies, and pictures onto to save space on the main hard drive for my computer (only a 40GB). What do i have to do within iTunes to make sure it will still read the mp3 files when i move them to the new drive? Will iTunes save the changes and additions that i have made to the files?
I've been working on my music library for over a month and updated all of my mp3 files to include the artist and song title, so that info will transfer with the file; but I have been working within iTunes for the past 2 weeks getting everything just right - changing artist and title names, adding artwork for cover flow and updating album information to group songs and artists the way i want. What do i need to do to save all of this within iTunes, so that when i change file destinations of my mp3 files everything stays the same? Can i select all of my songs within iTunes and back them up directly to the new drive and then delete the older versions from the old hard drive?
Sorry if these sound stupid or are easy to fix, but i just don't want to lose all of my work that i put into my music library and have to start all over.
    Thanks for the help.

What do i have to do within iTunes to make sure it will still read the mp3 files when i move them to the new drive?
    Don't move them yourself.
Point iTunes prefs -> Advanced to the location where you want to music to go.
Then go to menu Advanced -> Consolidate library.
This will copy all the music in iTunes to the new location.
Then you can delete \My Documents\/My Music\iTunes\*iTunes music folder*.

  • ICal won't save information

iCal won't save new information. Deleting information does work. It worked fine until a couple days ago and I don't know what changed to cause this strange behavior. It will work on other accounts on my system.
I have noticed other posts regarding the same problem with minor differences but all stating iCal won't retain information. None of them have been answered.
iCal is very useful to me. Can anyone help?
    Thank you.

This is not a mobile me issue. I am not a mobile me subscriber, and I have just recently gotten into a situation where iCal behaves as if there is nothing wrong (I can move things around, add events etc) then when I quit and start it up again, it looks like all my changes went missing. This is the same behaviour for caldav and local calendars. Oddly enough, if I go to google calendar and make changes there, I see them in iCal. I also see updates if I make changes on the iPhone and then sync.
I have gone to the finder and deleted all calendars and iCal preferences. When I fire up iCal again, it shows the standard starting state with home and work calendars. I can make changes and they get saved and everything. Now, when I restore the backup file I made, it goes back to not saving anything.

  • Can we save information contained in the forms to database?

    Hi,
I made a web form by Workbench and planed to use it to collect customers' feedback about effects of specific campaigns. And I wanted to collect the information into database, like MySQL.
About data saving, It seems that Adobe separate it into two parts, one is by database and the other is by filesystem. I could find file entities which are saved as  .bin files in a specific folder in the server side, and the information of version-up hold in the database.
And here is the point I need to confirm that is it possible to save the information which customers filled in the forms, such as name, birthday, telephone number, etc, into the database? (Not to save the whole form by a spcific file in the filesystem, but to save the information filled in the textboxes (fields) of the form to a database(MySQL) so that I could manage it by some spcific keys.)
And then is it possible to code this as an application program by javascript?
Two simple yes or no questions.
    best regards
    En Shoku

    Hi, Hodmi
Thanks for reading my unclear question and giving a kindly answer to it. I try to rewrite my question, and hope it would help to make it clear to understand.
As a part of presentation for a corporate client, I am trying to make a demostration about how to easily create a simple workflow for online application by
    the Adobe Livecycle ES2.
I have a sample PDF application form of the client and I import it to LiveCycle Workbench ES2 as a "background" and use LiveCycle Designer ES2 to add some contents, such as textbox, checkbox, calendar, etc, on the background. In practise, I have finished these. And then, I plan to upload this to the LiveCycle Workspace ES2 with a simple Approval-and-Rejection workflow and manage the form in LiveCycle Contentspace ES2 for version-up,etc.
Here I have a problem is about the interrelationship of Contentspace and Workspace. For example, when I build a simple review workflow in Contentspace, a correspondent task will be created in the task list of Workspace. So I thought there is some automatic trasnpotation mechnism between them, and if I upload application from Workspace, the Contentspace side would also reflect it. Actually, my thought is not correct, I uploaded the application form to the Workspace by Workbench and confirmed the task appear in the task list, in the other hand, I couldn't find the form file in Contentspace.
So I want to understand why?

This is really just a philosophical question. The language allows a literal to be used to initilaize an array like this int[] arr = {1,2,3,4}but later in the code you cannot write arr = {4,5,6,7};I have always wondered why. Anyone got an insight?
