Save only part of my indexed data

Hi Folks! I'm having some trouble saving only part of my streaming daqmx data to disk. I've attached a gauss meter to a Zaber stepper motor, and have it moving from a home position to an absolute position. at the same time, my gauss meter is mesuring data via daqmx while stepping. when i get to the end of the line, the stepper motor returns to home...data is recorded in both directions (forward and backward). I only want the forward data to collect. reverse data is not needed. this is especially important when i want to run more than one scan (move forward and backward n times.) I have a while loop gathering data (see attached.) Any ideas on how i can only record/index partial data coming in? Thanks in advance!

Hi Debrosse
Thanks for sending the VI.
I've attached an updated version. This one uses a while loop checking the 'status' of the stage to determine if the movement has completed. A value of 0 means the stage is idle and the next movement command can happen. Along with this, the 'Request' vis are replaced with 'Write' vis.
I've also added a conditional on the indexing of the Measurement File loop, which polls the current position and compares it to the previous one. This should ensure that data is only recorded when the new position is larger than the last.
The movement commands will still be sending responses when they complete. This version of the VI doesn't rely on these, and they may complicate the communication of other commands. I would recommend turning these movement responses off by setting bit_0 of the Device Mode setting (cmd # 40) to 1 (in other words, read the previous value, and write back the same value +1). This will set it so that only commands with 'Return' in the name, such as 'Return Status' or 'Return Current Position' will send a response.
Please let me know if this has the desired effect!
Mike

  • Excise Goods Receipt Without  Only Part I

    Hi,
    We have done a goods receipt for an excisable material.
    At the time of goods receipt, we could not select "Only Part I"
    Now we want to post the Vendor Excise Invoice,
    I just ran the T Code J1I5 with Classification ROP and I am able to update the RG Part I Register,
    Now I want to post the excise value using T Code J1IH. Here I am confused which button to select . Here we get options like Additional excise, Other adjustment.
    Request you to please guide.
    What is the best way to handle this type of situation.
    Regards,

    Hi PK,
             The amount what u are seeing in the top is the cumulative amount for that month. What u have to do before doing the MMPV that select the value based on the account for e.g RG23BED then select the line and press the create menu button in the tool bar and then it ask in which account need to post it (i.e) at the bottom account. u have to select the top and bottom are the same one then if u save it once the system take entire amount in the top and deduct the same from the bottom account.
    That means the amount in the register will get reduce. The amount what ever u did the utilisation that will go and sit in the PLA account. From the PLA account the amount will be disbursed to the excise department. If u have not done then your PLA account will be more that means u have to pay more to your excise department without set-off amount.Loss to company.
    a. we are in back-log mode right now, if we don't run J2IUN, what will happen?. Is this statutory? Or will it impact our financial?
    Not a problem all back -log can be utilised at one shot and if u not run the J2IUn your set-off amount cannot be get back from excise.It is statutory.Yes it will impact your financial means your paying the both input and out put tax to the excise.
    b. what if I run J2IUN after we complete all the backlogs or year end?
    You have to do as a monthly basis not a year basis.Last financial year back log cannot be utllised for this year.
    c. What query should I put across to our client to know about their existing process?
    Whether they have a set-off process (Earlier they used to call Modvet) or all input taxes are inventories. Only this transaction is right for all the set-off invoices.i am sure all the OEM will have the set-off requirement
    d What query should I put across to our FI Consultant regarding this T Code.
    Ask him whether he checked all the GL balance for all these registers for ex RG23ABED get Zero. whether he is checking the PLA account. The output tax and input tax is properly got off-set.All the Excise GL Need to be reconcile at the month end. This is very very important activities.
    e. Is this the job of MM User or FI User (so that I can accordingly impart the KT)
    Utilisation is MM activity but FI consultant need to be with u because the posting date what ever u are giving in the input selection screen for the J2iUN that he has to tell . What ever date u give them system will post the accounting doc for that period. so be carfrul.
    Thanks

  • Only part of my Itunes library shows.

    The Ipod touch has all my music and such on it but when I go to sync new music onto it, only part of the library shows. I cant see any of the library in my itunes on the computer other than what i have purchased. New music doesnt sync even though it shows the device is connected. When i go to play with the settings to manually sync, it asks if i want to restore the ipod.
    What do i do?

    It is possible but it is not standard configuration for iTunes. You will need to learn details of how iTunes operates in order to stay on top of it and not be back here in a month with a messed up library, or in a year or two when you discover it is a real nuisance when it comes to transferring your content to a new drive.
    http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/instant-expert-secrets-featur es-of-itunes-9/ - "To perform a consolidate operation on selected tracks only, simply highlight the tracks you would like the consolidate, right-click and choose 'Consolidate'. iTunes will prompt you to confirm that you want to copy these tracks into your iTunes Media folder."  You will, of course,need to temporarily re-designate your iTunes media folder location as part of doing this.
    The above method is a possibility but I have not tested it because I still run iTunes 7.5
    Another way would be to copy the files to the external drive.  Delete them from iTunes, then drag the copied files back to iTunes (re-adding them) while holding down the option key.  If you do have anything in a playlist it will have to be re-added to the playlist, and you will lose ratings and date added.

  • Indexing data from Access data base in DIAdem 10

    I have some data (some is free format text, some will be numbers) that will be entered by hand either in Access or Excel (not sure which is best yet - see below). This data relates to devices that are in development and will continually be updated as long as we're working on the devices. I have other data generated by automated tests that is relatively easy to index using the DIAdem 10 datafinder. There may be times when we'll want to use some of the hand entered data as part of the search criteria when searching the automated test data.
    It somehow seems odd to enter the data in an Access database (I guess the same thing applies to having the data in a spreadsheet) only to have DIAdem's datafinder add it to its own database. Or maybe it's not odd, I don't know. Which would be the preferred method for entering this extra data?
    George

    Hi George,
    Myrle is right that the only way to harmonize the data in your Access/Excel file with the other data you have indexed in the DataFinder is to have a DataPlugin which reads the Access/Excel file.  The posted DataPlugin she references is good for reading entire columns from eithe Access or Excel files (the DataPlugin sees them as the same).  So if the values entered by hand are entire columns of values, then this would be the proper approach.  If instead the values entered are isolated cells, then you should use a different DataPlugin approach, which I think I've already sent you (?).
    I either case, you would ideally want to integrate this Access/Excel lookup functionality into the DataPlugin that is indexing the rest of your data.  But I seem to remember that you are using TDM files, and you don't have the option to edit the TDM DataPlugin.  It would help to know more about the relationship between this Access/Excel data and the other data you have indexed.
    In direct answer to your question, with all other issues being equal, I would tend toward Excel because more people have it and more people are comfortable with it.

  • How is index data managed within the cluster?

    Hello
    We are in the process of evaluating Coherence.
    With regard to indexes, am I correct in thinking that the data for the index is stored in an (internally managed) cache on the same node as the attendant indexed values? I'm not interested in getting at the index data, but rather just understanding how the index data itself is treated/stored within the cluster.
    So in a 2 node cluster where an index is applied to a distributed cache that only has 2 entries, will there be an index cache on each node that has 1 {Binary,key} entry where the key points to the value that is stored on that same node? That is, I trust that the index data is spread out across the cluster in the case of a partitioned topology?

    Regards
    PeterHi Peter,
    up to 3.4.x indexes were supported only on partitioned topology, and yes, indexes on each node contain only data corresponding to entries which have their primary copy on that node (referred to as local entries from now on).
    The indexes are not stored in a cache but they are managed as part of the information Coherence maintains about the backing map (the map which contains local entries).
    The indexes are made of 2 parts:
    - forward index: this is a mapping from the cache key in an internal representation (backing map keys from now on) to the value extracted with the extractor used to create the index from the entry belonging to the cache key (extracted value from now on)
    - reverse index (aka. reverse map): this is a mapping from the extracted value to a set of backing map keys of entries from which the reverse index key was extracted with the extractor used to create the index
    The index can be sorted which means that the reverse index will be a SortedMap (so sorting order is the ordering of extracted values)
    Let's see an example. Assuming you have the following cache content within a particular storage-enabled node :
    A --> Object (getX=5 ,...)
    B --> Object (getA=3 ,...)
    C --> Object (getA=3 ,...)
    D --> Object (getA=4 ,...)
    The forward index in that node will contain:
    Binary(A) --> 5
    Binary(B) --> 3
    Binary(C) --> 3
    Binary(D) --> 4
    The reverse index will contain:
    3 --> { Binary(B), Binary(C) }
    4 --> { Binary(D) }
    5 --> { Binary(A) }
    Where Binary(...) means the internal (binary) representation of the ... object.
    If the index is not ordered, then the order of iteration on entries in the reverse index are not deterministic.
    If the index is ordered, then the iteration of entries in the reverse index will be as shown above. Also, you can cast the reverse index to SortedMap so you have the very useful headMap and tailMap and firstKey and lastKey methods.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Robert

  • Interpreting an index data block dump

    I have seen a few postings about reading index data blocks, mine doesnt quite look like those.
    Ok: 11Gr1 (linux)
    Tracing down a hot block issue with an index, I performed
    alter system dump datafile 11 block 4030208;
    Looking at the Web page "Index Block Dump: Index Only Section Part II (Station To Station)" and others they show a dump like this:
    row#0[8021] flag: ——, lock: 0, len=15
    col 0; len 5; (5): 42 4f 57 49 45
    col 1; len 6; (6): 02 01 48 8a 00 00
    row#1[8002] flag: ——, lock: 0, len=19
    col 0; len 9; (9): 4d 41 4a 4f 52 20 54 4f 4d
    col 1; len 6; (6): 02 01 48 8a 00 02

  • What happens when you need More than 1 indexed Date??

    I need multiple date fields on my opportunity record for reporting purposes.
    Unfortunately there is 1 indexed date field...
    How am I able to create indexed data that I can run reports on???? OR am I limited to just 1 indexed date field and the others are going to be non-indexed with all the associated performance issues of a non-indexed field?
    Thanks for your insight,

    Hi,
    I am not very sure about a concern.
    FYI if you are not aware that there is no need for all fields in reports to be indexed.
    It makes a difference only if you have some filters, conditions etc on that field otherwise if it is a simple field that is there are part of the report to present data without any filters, conditions etc, it doesnt make any difference
    Hope it helps

  • Does FF 19 for Windows XP keep a history of browsed sites in an index.dat file or similar?

    I normally keep the "clear history when FF closes" option, checked. I had one window open with 10-15 tabs & accidentally clicked "close group" which closed the entire window & all tabs & because of the aforementioned option setting, wiped my sessionstore.js file. I looked for a sessionstore.bak file but didn't find one. I want to restore these tabs & since I recently discovered, some software on Windows computers use hidden 'index.dat' files to retain info even though the user deleted personal info in a normal way, want to know if FF 19 (version I had when this happened late yesterday) keeps browsing history in some type of hidden file I can access to retrieve the web sites info I accidentally lost. I searched my 'Documents and Settings' folder for any FF-related files that were modified at or near the time this event took place & found several & copied them to another folder in case one of them might have the info I want. In perusing this forum for answers, I found out about the add-on 'session manager' & installed it immediately, so this won't ever happen again. I also tried an 'undelete' program I have, hoping to find a retrievable copy of 'sessionstore' - nothing was found. I appreciate any assistance one can give regarding knowledge of any hidden file(s) FF keeps in case of emergencies, like this.

    Only IE uses index.dat files to store such data.
    Firefox stores the bookmarks and the browser history in an SQLite database file named places.sqlite.<br />
    App (pinned) tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data in the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder.
    You would need a backup of the involved file(s) to restore data that you have deleted by accident.<br />
    Unfortunately Windows XP don't have a way to restore previous versions of files like more recent Windows (Vista and later) versions have.

  • Error message: Bind operations are only supported in a single data view.

    I created a new connection handler and data view. When I started ldapsearch I got the above error message. Would like to know how caused that and how to fix it.
    I tried to roll back all my modification and use the default connection handler and it even gave me the above message.
    Thanks!

    Thanks Ludovic!
    It happened when I tried to create two different data views(view1 and view2) and two different connetion handlers (conn1 and conn2).
    view1 will view all data under the root suffix, like dc=example,dc=com
    view2 will view only part of the subordinate, like ou=test,dc=example,dc=com (not sub-suffix)
    I set data-view-atuomatic-routing-mode to limited. So view1 will not have exclude list.
    conn1(priority 33) will use view1. I also set bind-dn to be "uid=testmanager,dc=example,dc=com"
    conn2 (priority 99) will use view2 with no constraint.
    When I started doing ldapsearch using that bind DN of "uid=testmanager,dc=***) and expected to use conn1 (since it fell into the criterial of the bind DN), I encourted this error.
    This error kept on existing even I removed the view1 and conn1. I doubt that I should recover the default setting of routing policy (data-view-automatic-routing-mode), but don't know what the default value for that, maybe "automical" or something else.
    My questions will be:
    1) can i create two different views like one pointing to base and the other one to sub directory?
    2) What is the default value fo data-view-automatic-routing-mode?
    Thanks!

  • Allowing "Reader Users" to Save MULTIPLE Unique Sets of Forms Data for One Form

    I own Acrobat Pro X. I use it to create many documents in my law practice. I need to deliver a contract form to a client that the client will use again and again and again... The client only owns Acrobat Reader. I need this to be like a "template" in Microsoft Word. The client needs to be able to fill-in the fillable fields on the document that I have created, then print and save it (e.g. as "Jones.pdf"), then fill it with new data and print and save it again (e.g. as "Smith.pdf"). This process may need to be repeated hundreds or thousands of times. Sometimes the client will need to reopen a document (data set) that was previously saved and printed and see it as it was last printed (so, to load "Jones.pdf" and see it as it was created). Sometimes the client will need to send a "filled" PDF to one of his customers, where the client's customer can print the document, but not change any of the fields (much less the body of the document, of course). So to sum up:
    * Attorney creates contract with fillable fields in Acrobat Pro X and sends to client;
    * Client uses PDF created by attorney to create, print and save an infinite number of unique 'data sets' for the document, any of which can be opened and printed at any time; and
    * Client sends locked-down, un-changeable PDF to Client's customer for customer to print, but not change.
    All of this needs to be able to happen without the Client ever buying Acrobat. Is this possible? I'm aware of File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features, but I cannot figure out if this will work, since I don't use Reader on my pc.
    Surely this scenario is faced by document creators often. However, I tried and failed to find a set of search terms which would reveal discussion threads that were relevant to this query.

    I apologize for being unclear. I'll try to clarify the facts.
    1. I have written a custom subcontract agreement for one client. This is the only client that I will ever give this particularl document/subcontract. My client will *never* send the data or the document back to me. Once I turn over this document to my client, it is from my perspective, a one-time, one-way transaction.
    2. My client
    Will be the only person who will ever put data in the fields (using Acrobat Reader);
    Will create hundreds or thousands of unique subcontracts using the document that I have created, but the only difference between each will be the data that my client has put in the fields;
    Needs to be able save each unique set of data as a unique pdf (jones_1.pdf; smith_2.pdf; etc.);
    Needs to be able to email the completed document to his customer in a way that his customer cannot modify the document, but can view it, print it, sign the paper printout and snail-mail it back.
    3. My client's customer
    Should be able to view and print, but be unable to change anything in the document;
    Will not need to sign the document electronically (there will be no digital signatures)
    Users of Microsoft Word are familiar with the concempt of templates. When you create a new document based on a template, the content and formatting can be changed in each new iteration made from the template, but the original template is not changed. I could give my client the subcontract as a Word template, but his staff could easily or accidentally change important language that I don't want them to be able to change. For the client's own protection, I want the client only to be able to change data in the fields that I've designated. This sort of scheme is impossible using a Word document or template. I hope it's possible with a PDF.

  • Moved house and TM only goes back to move date

    We moved out temporarily to restore our home in Nov 09- I have had TM working backing up my Mac Pro to an external drive for a year or so. The MP wasn't used for a while work was going on. I was actually working from another machine, a Book. I disconnected the Drive to access work from my Book. I've now brought the MB to the temp home and will use it there, but now I've connected the drive back to it and ran TM, if I enter, it only goes back to the date I switched off and moved the drive! Does this mean I've lost all previous evidence of back up?
    Thx

    NO. First, that means you only have one copy. When your backup drive fails (and they all do, sooner or later), you risk losing it. Plus, Time Machine will, eventually, delete it's copy of anything that's no longer on your system.
    should they be copied onto another drive as filed work/files?
    Yes. Or "archived" to CDs/DVDs.
    The latter would mean the same files exist in 2 places, seems a bit of a waste of space?
    Exactly. The essential part of a good backup strategy is to have (at least) two copies of everything important, in (at least) two places. Three is much better, especially if one is off-site (safe deposit box, workplace, relative's house, etc.). That way, you're also protected against fire, flood, theft, direct lightning strike on your power lines, etc.

  • Storing a lot of data in an indexed data structure for quick access.

    I'm designing an app. which will need to store a large amount of data in memory. Records will be flowing into the app. via a socket. The app will receive about 30 records/second which is about 108,000 records/hour and about 600,000 records/day. I need to store the records in an indexed data structure so that I can access them quickly. For example, at 9:00am I will need to access records received at 8:30am, 8:35am, 8:40am, etc. This program will be multithreaded and as I understand Vector is the only data structure that is thread safe. Is Vector my only choice? How do I access objects in a Vector using an index? Is there something better that I can use?

    Is Vector my only choice?If you want to access the objects by key then you should use something like a HashMap. But if you want to access them by an array index then an ArrayList would be more appropriate.
    as I understand Vector is the only data structure that is thread safeYou can get a thread-safe version of any Collection object by using the Collection.synchronizedCollection method.
    How do I access objects in a Vector using an index? I'd suggest you read the API documentation. And probably the Sun tutorial on Collections at http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/collections/index.html
    600,000 records/day. Unless you plan to dump old data after a short period of time, you may want to consider using a database to avoid running out of memory.

    Please give me suggestions.
    Thank you for reading.

    Hi,
    To get it display in full page
    Go to the iview proprerties(the iview which is assigned to that page).
    Select  'Appearance - Size' from the drop down category
    and set the height type to 'FULL_PAGE'. and Save.
    This will solve your problem.

    How can I set screen saver clock which show time and date when all screen is black. Other phones have this option but I didn't find on iphone. Pl guide.

    HA!  I figured the find my iphone out!!!!! You can have more than one icloud account in "Mail, Contacts and Calendars".  So my husband's & kids' phone icloud account under "settings, icloud "is their individual @me.com account.  Set it to everything you want EXCEPT Find My Iphone.  Then under "settings, mail/contacts/calendars" you set up both accounts (your @me.com which may already be there), then add another with the main appleID and enable ONLY Find My Iphone.  Now when any of us log into Find My Iphone from any device with our main apple ID for the app store, all the devices show up!!!! YIPPEE.  I made my own day!
    I think the message I got previously was because I hadn't disabled the find my iphone on the @me.com account first.
